i have to do three crosses now :D
man, that was really a challenge to build this
not because of the big piece count and the size
but to realize it from the 3d mesh to a papermodel

i never had a more messed up mesh like this
and to edit this was just horrible
but it was totally worth, this model looks just sweet
sry if that may sound arrogant, but i just love this model :meow:
although i hate all the mario related things
yeah really in every freaking nintendo game is this plumber
i really wonder that he doesn't appear in zelda :|
maybe i'm too old and oversaturated about mario
i'm althrough more in the bad area and i think Bowser is a missunderstood individual
did you ever thought about, that he just wanna talk to Peach about his problems and stuff ;P
and maybe she is also annoyed of mario :D

anyway
even i'm not really a fan of all those mario stuff

well i took it, meanwhile over a half year ago

file description:
the file contains as always three pdo files
one with texture and folding lines
one with texture and without folding lines
and one white version with folding lines

so you need again the Pepakura Viewer what you can get "here"

all three pdo's are not protected
so if you have the Designer, you can edit the model in the way you want :)
(by the way, a yoshi mask should be possible
but you have to edit the mouth a bit)

the package also contains the original textures
and recolored textures for black, blue, red, orange, cyan *blah*
just look here ^^;

the model will come on 40 pages with 260 pieces and is 50cm tall
so this model should fit to the "two big mario and luigi models" from :icontouchfuzzygetdizzy: TouchFuzzyGetDizzy

(would be cool to see them all three :la: )

but pls look at the "building process gallery" for some informations about special parts

-add the pieces of the pinky
-then add the pieces of the thumb

i prefere to assemble them first on the outside and build to the inside
the hands will change the shapes a few times, specially the fist because the fingers overlapping a bit

don't underestimate this piece
it is not hard but a bit complex
(yeah i write it again in that way when i have allready released the sheets ;) )

specially when the sides turn from "valley" to "mountain" and the opposite

start it at the center and build outwards
i splitet the large single rings into half (you will see it)
but i prefere to not connect them back together to a full ring
assemble one side, then the other, then the next half ring and the other side
there are a lot of hard edges
and even i changed the most tabs you may have to cut them a bit on your own too


p.s.
i don't know yet if this is working
the plan was to build this seperated and just glue it on the back of yoshi

actually i thought it would be harder to add the arms and the tail but it's really simple

pic.1
to attache the arms
you have four tabs for each arm
start with the "victory" arm and assemble the two tabs at the outside

the reason why the victory arm first
when this arm stick
you can lay the whole piece down that it don't break
it will lay on the nose and the two finders without any weight on the tabs

then attache the other arm
at the same time you can add the first pieces of the torso from page 22
that it will not twist ore something

same thing for the tail
connect the tabs at the outside and go further to the inside
then add the pieces -2 and -5 from the pages 26 and 28 to get more stability

and i found a bug again
but this bug is really awefull and i don't want to let you build that
