Avariel Elf
The Avariel Elven race is one of the more reclusive than the rest of their cousins when they choose to be unseen. Most think of the Avariel as angels or celestials upon first experience. Celestials and Guardinals are different, however, even those that bear a similar semblance, and Outsiders are not openly involved with the evolution of the Avariel lineage, so it is said.

The Avariel Elven race doesn't necessarily have any powers exactly.
They are quite delicate creatures, most of their bones hollow to aid in their flight and aerial movements.
Therean has the ability to fly for extended periods of time, extremely agile in the skies. Her eyesight and senses are above average, able to feel the wind currents and any changes that happen in the surrounding area.
Basically, she has extremely good sensory and flight skills.

Complete understanding of anatomy, namely the spots where she can restrict movement and paralyze enemies.
Sturdy, with high endurance.

Elemental based attacks, namely fire/electricity.

Therean is an intellectual who tends to keep to herself for the most part. She enjoys being able to learn and listening to stories of people and their pasts. Generally, she remains in silence unless somebody speaks to her, in which she will give short answers too. Therean doesn't like having people listen to her voice, most are shocked by how melodic and serene it is, since many have never met an Avariel elf in their lifetime.
She is a very kind and warm-hearted individual though, never saying anything bad about another. She doesn't have a temper of any sort, always remaining in the neutral-good alignment.
Extremely polite and well-mannered, she acts with grace and courtesy.
Therean doesn't typically show emotion, preferring to remain stoic. If you can manage to make her smile, then that's a great accomplishment.

The Avariel (Aril-tel-quessir in elven or "winged folk") are considered by most to be myths or legends.
Avariel are more delicate than their earth-bound cousins, with hollow bones to aid their flight. They have pale skin, often porcelain white. An avariel's wings are usually white, but can be black, brown or speckled.

Avariel are also known to practice the dyeing of wing tips. Their eyes range in color from brilliant blues, golds to green or purple. Their hair color normally is a silver-white or black, their wings typically always matching the color of their hair.

Avariel are said to have the most beautiful voices and their songs are greatly sought after by races.

The avariels' society is split into two groups which coexist together:

Avariel warriors are geared towards war and power, answering to war chiefs who govern avariel society equally with the religious leaders. They live by a complex code of honor and spend their lives defending their race. In combat, these avariel show no mercy, often using ranged attacks from above and believing that others should know better than to create an enemy of a superior foe, such as themselves.

The other side of the avariel society includes scholars, philosophers and artists. Intellectuals who believe in solving problems through reason and diplomacy, these avariels spend much time researching magic and history, contemplating religion, and producing art for the sheer joy of creation.

Therean was born in January in the main Avariel clan. Her parents are both renowned for their abilities, namely her father being the central military chief. Her mother is a scholar, well versed in astronomy and astrology. Being so high up in the clan, she was held in high regard and was raised as a proper lady, being raised mainly to take over the strategic department in the Avariel military.

All Avariel children spend time in both sections of the Avariel society. Therean had spent most of her younger years under her fathers care, learning to fight and reading about the war lords and warriors that were there prior to her families role. As she grew older, she went to her mother and was taught her education with the other children. Taking to the artistic side, her father agreed to not have his daughter involved in military actions, though the option remains available to her.

As she grew older, she grew more curious about other people and their races/cultures. After speaking to her parents and the elders of the clan, they agreed to let her enroll into Rosette Academy.

She secretly likes having people play with her wings even if she says otherwise.
She loves singing, but is too wary of people to sing in front of them.
She takes pride in keeping her wings well groomed and maintained.
She prefers to fly/hover over walking.

Scenario B.
You walk back to your dorm complex alone. You let out a sigh. Assemblies are so boring. Suddenly, ominous clouds take over the sky, stretching for as far as you can see. It was perfectly normal a second ago! Yet now, the atmosphere reeks of uneasiness and uncertainty. Somehow the whole thing makes you want to puke.

Following the change of atmosphere quickly, distortion cracks suddenly appeared in the ground, and in the sky. Professors quickly instructed the students to brace themselves for anything that may happen. And something did happen. Monsters were spawned from the distortion cracks that appeared, raging from skeletal soldiers to magic-eating slobs.

Walking with an air of boredom, Therean steps outside into the sunlight. Closing her eyes and stretching her wings out to the side, she lets out a sigh. The air pressure changes rapidly, causing her eyes to snap open, looking up to the sky which was darkening fast. She could feel the electricity crackle in the air, as it became almost unbearable to keep a clear mind.

Climbing through the cracks of the sky and ground, monsters and creatures appeared. They were grotesque, with a look of rage and delusion on their faces and in their movements. In an instant, Therean took to the air, inspecting the damage from above. She barely heard the yells of concern from the students and teachers below.

“This isn't what I signed up for,” Therean mutters, watches as chaos brews below her. In the skies winged beasts appeared, directing attacks at the winged elf. She folds her wings to the side and drops from the sky, allowing the beasts to drop down after her. At the last possible second, she unfurls her wings, darting to the side as the beasts crashed into the ground, unable to stop at the speed they were going.

Joining the other students and teachers in the fray, she braces herself for the next onslaught, keeping her eyes on the skies for any other worrisome critters that may come forth.
