Last weekend I attended Hanami quite sponaniously as Lady Thor. Because... just look at them! I couldn't say no XD Again it was a lot of fun with my little Avengers group.

Took me forever, but I had an urge to name him "Salt" just for the shits and giggles. When I told my firneds about it, they said I should to it. Lol

Ugh, I wish my scanner at least portrayed the colors as vibrant as they are in person. I tried to help that a little bit in Windows Live Photo Gallery as best as I could.

So, I guess this would be Miss America (Stephanie Rogers.) I'll be honest and say I'm an Avengers fangirl, and Captain America is my absolute favorite. For some reason, I got the inspiration to do a genderbend of him. I still wanted to retain my style while giving the piece a comic book feel, so I used contour lines for a heavy portion of the shading. And for the first time, I actually tried incorporating a background. Granted, it's vague and only took about 15 minutes to complete, but I think it makes the piece more finished and polished than all of my other works without backgrounds.
