This shot was taken late one night on my way home from class. I was driving through Worcester and just felt inspired to take some night shots. On my way back to my car I saw this laundromat and decided I was going to get a picture. I didn’t want to stop and compose because I didn’t want anyone inside to see me and ruin the candidness.

I guessed what my settings should be to not overexpose the inside. I knew I needed a speed of at least 1/250 so that my motion wouldn’t blur the photo. Shooting that fast meant I needed a wide aperture and a high ISO, so I guessed that f/ 4.0 and 3200 would do it. (In retrospect, at that zoom the lens stops down to f/3.5 so I could’ve dropped it to that, but f/ 4.0 worked really well.)

I had only one chance really to catch this moment. I shot two pictures without looking, just imagining what it looked like inside of the viewfinder. When I got home and looked, I fell in love with this one right away.

When she was a young student, she suffered bullying once. Just once, because no one dared to bother her anymore.

Brii's eyesight is absolutely exceptional; she can see things 1 million times better than you and me even with her hair bangs covering her eyes. Due to being a sight animal, Brii grew up to be a lover of photography and thus became an amateur photographer who adored taking pictures from far and high places.
Luckily, a great opportunity came up to her: a job at the police department as a forensic photographer. Brii took the admittance exam and scored it, so she was able to get the full time job. She didn't choose this career because she believes in laws and justice...not at all, she only cares about taking photos!

This morning no one was home except my dog, so he became a test subject to different ISO, aperture and shutter-speed settings.

Why must photography be static? In an age of video cameras and high speed connections, can't we have moving photography?

These lovely ladies have shed their Faye Costumes in favor of string bikinis as they prepare to get dirty. Lithe bodies gradually become covered with slippery mud in this new image set, revealing how much fun these four had in the mudpit.

This was one of my favorite mud shoots to date, and I am very grateful to the models for their willingness to try new things.

Taken on a Sony a65 with Sony's 55-200 mm lens.

Another accidental shot which I played around with a little. This was the final result.

The water drops can be seen as planets, the waves can be seen as orbits then there's the dark thing stuff on the right top, what if that's the edge of the universe? The white line between the solar system and the edge of the universe is the
universe but compressed. Of course in the middle, it's a black hole.

Cross processing is the procedure of deliberately processing photographic film in a chemical solution intended for a different type of film. The effect was discovered independently by many different photographers often by mistake in the days of film photography. The process is seen most often in fashion advertising and band photography, and in more recent years has become associated with the Lo-fi photography movement.
Color cross processed photographs are often characterized by unnatural colors and high contrast. Cross processing effects can be simulated in digital photography by a number of techniques involving the manipulation of contrast/brightness, hue/saturation and curves in image editors such as Adobe Photoshop.

Luxury Black & White Actions
All photography was originally monochrome, or black-and-white. Even after color film was readily available, black-and-white photography continued to dominate for decades, due to its lower cost and its "classic" photographic look. It is important to note that some monochromatic pictures are not always pure blacks and whites, but also contain other hues depending on the process.
Some full color digital images are processed using a variety of techniques to create black and whites, and some manufacturers produce digital cameras that exclusively shoot monochrome.

The face of grand things to come...

I took this just yesterday at the Oregon Coast Aquarium (going there was my b-day present ) in the shark tunnel...
It's a MASSIVE glass tunnel thats about 100 meters long where you can observe the sharks swimming about over and under, and every which way!

While everyone else was just sitting around taking candids on their camera phones and asking stupid brainwashed questions like "can they break through the glass and eat us?",
I meanwhile whipped out my 5D mkIII with my new 50mm f/1.2 prime lens and just shot away!
Delicate use of high ISO's (light sensitivity amount) here was paramount, as well as making sure to keep a close eye on the light meter to make sure every exposure was balanced across the spectrum.
Autofocusing here was an absolute pain even with the equipment I'm using... but with the speed of some of these sharks when they were excited, my camera made due and got through.

Again as is expected with some of my previous other photos, I ask that the viewer please make good use of fullview...
