Katou will not let anyone get away with insulting his friends even if it means picking a fight and losing as long as he gets at least one good hit in. He values his friends like he values family. He feels the need to push himself for their sake. However, if Katou feels you are making fun of him, prepare for an immediate wall of anger. He dislikes people who feel they can just insult people just to insult them and raise their own conceitedness.

Dense and Stubborn
Katou is quite adamant in his ways and only those with a master of skillful persuasion could change his mind on his stand on certain things(or his friends could guilt trip him if he gets any). He refuses to go home since his father is there with her, so he has taken a part-time job at a convenience store and will not do his after-school work. Katou's perception of how people feel is really dense and therefore has a hard time reading situations unless his friend is sad then he'll take immediate action. It's very hard to get your feelings across to him.

Katou was born a genius in the field of mathematics and improved this ability as a child, so even if he is a bit dense, he can still see things from a logical viewpoint. His mother and father worked long hours so that Katou could become well educated and get a good career. They even forbid him of getting a job, so he could do his homework at optimum level. He looked forward to the day when he could take care of his parents after all they had done for him. At the time, he was ranked #1 in his public pigeon school. However, things were not meant to go as planned his mother passed from over-working her body.
This sent Katou into a backwards tumble. He started sleeping in class, causing fights and problems in school, and never doing his homework. Of course, he still aced all his tests and quizzes, but the sheer absence of never doing his work weighed him down. Katou's teacher noticed this and quickly submitted his application to St. Pigeonation before he hit rock bottom, and they wouldn't give him a scholarship anymore. He was accepted and then immediately transferred in only to disappoint his new teachers with his new outset on life.
A little while ago his father got a lover whom he spoils incessantly since he no longer had to pay for Katou's schooling, and she just asks for more and more. This disgusted Katou who believed dad had betrayed mom and who hated his girlfriend who stood for everything he despised. He hardly goes home and eats bentos from the convenience store that he now works for his meals. He is still highly ranked in his class for his test and quiz scores, but he never does his work after-school or projects, so his rank is not as high as it could be; Katou could be #1 or 2 if he did.
Due to many personal reasons, Katou plans to immediately start working after graduation instead of pursuing a field in mathematics.
This is his last year to straighten out his future and personal life.(or be foreveraloneQAQ)

The absolute monarchy that had ruled France for centuries collapsed within three years. French society underwent an epic transformation, as feudal, aristocratic and religious privileges evaporated under a sustained assault from radical left-wing political groups, masses on the streets, and peasants in the countryside.[1] Old ideas about tradition and hierarchy–of monarchy, aristocracy, and religious authority–were abruptly overthrown by new Enlightenment principles of equality, citizenship and inalienable rights.

History:

Tricolore= 'tricolour'. Another way to call the italian flag.

I draw only young Veneziano and not Romano because the 'Tricolore' had birth in north Italy in 1797 when many small republics of Jacobin inspiration used flags characterised by three bands of equal size, clearly inspired by the French model.
The colours chosen by the Republic were red and white, the colours of the flag of Milan (red and white) and green, which was the colour of the uniform of the Milanese civic guard.
The first official tricolore was adopted on 7 January 1797, in Reggio Emilia by the Cispadane Republic on the proposal of deputy Giuseppe Compagnoni and didn't look like the actual one because the bands were orizontal and not vertical.
The Cispadane Republic merged with the Transpadane Republic (which had been using a vertical Italian tricolour from 1796) into the Cisalpine Republic who adopted the vertical square tricolour without badge in 1798.
Later, during the Risorgimento, the Tricolore became the symbol which united all the efforts of the Italian people towards freedom and independence.
In 1848 Francesco Dall'Ongaro wrote the patriottic song 'La bandiera tricolore' in honor of the Tricolore.
The 'Festa del Tricolore', officially 'Giornata Nazionale della Bandiera' (Flag National Day), is a national day to celebrate the Italian flag. It's celebrated on January the 7th, mainly in Reggio Emilia and had birth on December the 31st, 1996.
What's done to celebrate you wonder?
During the festival at the Palazzo del Quirinale runs the Changing of the Guard in solemn form, with the Corazzieri in gala uniform (this is done only in another day, June the 2nd, 'Festa della Repubblica' (Republic Day)).
In Reggio Emilia is celebrated with a visit to one of the highest offices of the Italian Republic (the Head of State or the President of one of the rooms), which reviews a selection of the armed forces and holds his own official speech.
The Italian flag is exposed at all public offices and institutions (as in other solemn dates).
The text around the picture are poetries inspired to the Italian flag. In poetries there are assorted interpretations about what the three colors represents.
As of now the official colors for the Italian flag are Fern Green, Bright White and Flame Scarlet.

History:

Tricolore= 'tricolour'. Another way to call the italian flag.

I draw only young Veneziano and not Romano because the 'Tricolore' had birth in north Italy in 1797 when many small republics of Jacobin inspiration used flags characterised by three bands of equal size, clearly inspired by the French model.
The colours chosen by the Republic were red and white, the colours of the flag of Milan (red and white) and green, which was the colour of the uniform of the Milanese civic guard.
The first official tricolore was adopted on 7 January 1797, in Reggio Emilia by the Cispadane Republic on the proposal of deputy Giuseppe Compagnoni and didn't look like the actual one because the bands were orizontal and not vertical.
The Cispadane Republic merged with the Transpadane Republic (which had been using a vertical Italian tricolour from 1796) into the Cisalpine Republic who adopted the vertical square tricolour without badge in 1798.
Later, during the Risorgimento, the Tricolore became the symbol which united all the efforts of the Italian people towards freedom and independence.
In 1848 Francesco Dall'Ongaro wrote the patriottic song 'La bandiera tricolore' in honor of the Tricolore.
The 'Festa del Tricolore', officially 'Giornata Nazionale della Bandiera' (Flag National Day), is a national day to celebrate the Italian flag. It's celebrated on January the 7th, mainly in Reggio Emilia and had birth on December the 31st, 1996.
What's done to celebrate you wonder?
During the festival at the Palazzo del Quirinale runs the Changing of the Guard in solemn form, with the Corazzieri in gala uniform (this is done only in another day, June the 2nd, 'Festa della Repubblica' (Republic Day)).
In Reggio Emilia is celebrated with a visit to one of the highest offices of the Italian Republic (the Head of State or the President of one of the rooms), which reviews a selection of the armed forces and holds his own official speech.
The Italian flag is exposed at all public offices and institutions (as in other solemn dates).
The text around the picture are poetries inspired to the Italian flag. In poetries there are assorted interpretations about what the three colors represents.
As of now the official colors for the Italian flag are Fern Green, Bright White and Flame Scarlet.

If he may use a dagger or a pistol, they may employ cannon, bomb-shells, land and naval forces. The means of self-preservation must be in proportion to the magnitude of interests at stake and the number of lives exposed to destruction. But if a rapacious and bloodthirsty soldiery, thronging these shores from abroad, with intent to commit rapine and destroy life, may not be resisted by the people or magistracy, then ought no resistance to be offered to domestic troublers of the public peace or of private security. No obligation can rest upon Americans to regard foreigners as more sacred in their persons than themseles, or to give them a monopoly of wrong-doing with impunity.

The dogma, that all the governments of the world are approvingly ordained of God, and that the powers that be in the United States, in Russia, in Turkey, are in accordance with his will, is not less absurd than impious. It makes the impartial Author of human freedom and equality, unequal and tyrannical. It cannot be affirmed that the powers that be, in any nation, are actuated by the spirit or guided by the example of Christ, in the treatment of enemies; therefore, they cannot be agreeable to the will of God, and therefore, their overthrow, by a spiritual regeneration of their subjects, is inevitable.

We register our testimony, not only against all wars, whether offensive or defensive, but all prepations for war; against every naval ship, every arsenal, every fortification; against the militia system and a standing army; against all military chieftains and soldiers; against all monuments commemorative of victory over a fallen foe, all trophies won in battle, all celebrations in honor of military or naval exploits; against all appropriations for the defence of a nation by force and arms, on the part of any legislative body; against every edict of government requiring of its subjects military service. Hence, we deem it unlawful to bear arms, or to hold a military office.

As every human government is upheld by physical strength, and its laws are enforced virtually at the point of the bayonet, we cannot hold any office which imposes upon its incumbent the obligation to compel men to do right, on pain of imprisonent or death. The Liberator continued for three decades from its founding through the end of the American Civil War. Garrison ended the newspaper's run with a valedictory column at the end of 1865, when the ratification of the Thirteenth Amendment abolished slavery throughout the United States.

Louis was sent to the guillotine for treason on January 21st, 1793. She was sent to the guillotine on October 16th, 1793.

The guillotine was a machine made by Joseph-Ignace Guillotin. It was used as capitol punishment in France and other European countries. France used the guillotine until 1977.

The Old Regime was the aristocratic, social, and political system in France from the 15th century to the late 18th century. France used "estates" as a social pyramid. The 1st Estate was 1% of the population and was made up of the clergy. The Second Estate was 2% of the population and was made up by the nobility. The Third Estate was everybody else.

Jean-Paul Marat was a popular, radical journalist and politician. He wrote his ideas and opinions in his paper, L'Ami du peuple. Marat had a skin disease, so he wrote his paper while he was in a bathtub. He was killed by Charlotte Corday, and he was seen as a martyr.

Je souffre; I am suffering. I haven't been in this much pain since Jeanne d'Arc was killed. Lately, there has been so much rebellion and murder that it makes my head spin. I wouldn't call this a war anymore; it's more of a revolution.

This revolution began when my late boss, Louis XVI, was in power. He was only 15 years old when he became king; then he married Marie Antoinette of Austria. This marriage was a political decision between the Bourbon family and the Hapsburgs of Austria. The Marquise turned her back. There was no trace of fear on her face. She returned to the salon and called for Madelaine. I had a very bad feeling about this. When Madelaine arrived, the Marquise stated her wish: “Sami, I wish that you change mine and Madelaine’s history in such a way, that Madelaine was always and will be forever the Marquise to everybody and I will be just a normal citizen.”

“Your wish is granted!” I gnarled and let the magic flow. Immediately, Madelaine’s and the Marquise’s clothes changed. Soon, Madelaine was wearing a very expensive dress, while the former Marquise was dressed in a red, but rather cheap dress. Also the environment changed, as painting of the Marquise now showed Madelaine.
Meanwhile the mob had stormed into the castle. With two strong hits, they broke into the salon before Madelaine or the former Marquise could do something.

“That’s the exploiting Marquise!” Julien pointed at Madelaine. “Seize her!”

“What about this guy and the harlot?” asked one of the soldiers, while his comrades seized Madelaine.

“Who do you call a harlot?” the former marquise yelled.

“The man is called Sami. He was the favorite servant of the Marquise. And thus, he abused his position against his brother-citizens. “ Julien accused me. “But I don’t know this woman at all. You’re probably right with your assumption. She’s just a harlot.”

“Than this man shall be arrested too. Let the woman go, she’s a free citizen. And gather all other servants. I have to make a declaration.” the officer of the soldiers commanded. When all remaining servants had gathered in the salon, the officer explained, that the reign of the Marquise was over and they should take from the household what the marquise still owns them. Then they should leave the house, since it was now seized by the state. Then, they took me and Madelaine away from the house. Unfortunately, they kept us separated, so Madelaine couldn’t state a wish, and, as you now, I’m couldn’t use my magic on my own to free her. Having quasi-phenomenal cosmic power, but not being able to use it – if it wouldn’t be so sad, it would be ironic.” Sami said with a sour voice.

Martha shook her head. “That’s really sad. I’m glad that I was never in a situation that was beyond my power, neither as a human nor as a genie. I think I understand now why you avoid contact with humans at all costs. I don’t dare to ask, but how did this story end, Sami?”

“I’ll tell you.” Sami replied.

Lol No really, that first glomp totally shows how much i've missed drawing these two. XD

Yeah, I'm starting early with this so I won't get stressed during january since I will proabably work a lot on my project by then. Plus I'm so eagered to draw this round. :eager:
It's kinda fun tho', I always overwork the first page, but that's because it's on that one I choose the colours for the background. So I end up tweaking and trixing with that one. xD
Oh, I've also changed the way "thought bubbles" look like.

Nim is surely going to get depressed when he realize how many that has died during the first round. 8C
Also: Why the heck is Aiden sleeping in a crate/box?
He doesn't want to sleep in the tent given to the competitioners because he doesn't want to hang with them. x3

Yeah, I'm starting early with this so I won't get stressed during january since I will proabably work a lot on my project by then. Plus I'm so eagered to draw this round. :eager:
It's kinda fun tho', I always overwork the first page, but that's because it's on that one I choose the colours for the background. So I end up tweaking and trixing with that one. xD
Oh, I've also changed the way "thought bubbles" look like.

Nim is surely going to get depressed when he realize how many that has died during the first round. 8C
Also: Why the heck is Aiden sleeping in a crate/box?
He doesn't want to sleep in the tent given to the competitioners because he doesn't want to hang with them. x3

I realize that the first row of inspiration makes a whole lot more sense that the second, so allow me to explain, I guess! I decided to make the top row visual influences, and the botton row thematic/character influences.

Top Row:
1. Eddie Redmayne, actor. I don't think I was influenced as heavily by this fellow's face as I was his overall presence. If I had to pick an actor to play Alfie, it would be this guy. I've seen him in a couple of films, and he's able to convey the dichotomy of the sincere, well-intentioned kid but then snap into something much more dark and complex.
2. Nicholas Purcell, actor. He's on this horrible Nickelodeon show called The Troop, but there's something about his whole being that exudes Alfie, physically.
3. Brian Littrell, Backstreet Boy. Jaw, possibly nose. Lips? Yeah, I like this guy's face.
4. Doll!Alfie's mohair wig. The initial design for Alfie did not involve a head full of physically impossible auburn curls. In fact, when I ordered that wig, I had no clue what color "auburn" was. Well, now I know.
5. Corner, helene's Migidoll Ryu. This doll remains my favorite MD Ryu ever (sorry, Hayden), and is the reason I got my own. This little dude was the catalyst for creating Alfie, both as a doll and as a character, and while he's not a whole lot like Corner design or character-wise, I have to thank him.

Bottom Row:
1. Jack Burden, All the King's Men. (ffff, stupid image from the awful movie adaptation that should go die in a fire) The dynamic between Nell and Alfie somewhat parallels that of Willie Stark and Jack Burden. This and Gatsby made me comfortable with the idea of the unreliable/fallible narrator that doesn't drive the plot and is debatably not the main character.
2. Myself, several years ago. Alfie was partly created out of my own insecurities about my future and identity. This is probably why he is the easiest to write for me. Is this narcissistic?
3. Nick Carraway, The Great Gatsby. What was important to me here in terms of Alfie was Nick's fascination and willingness to defend Gatsby. Very relevant for how Alfie feels about Nell when she too falls from grace.
4. The French Revolution. I put the French Revolution here because a lot of people know about it, but any social upheaval in the model of it is also relevant. I wouldn't go as far as to say that each of my characters represent an element in the revolution, sans-culottes, girondists, jacobins, and whathaveyou, but it is important for me to establish where each character is coming from socially.
5. Lorin Maloney, old dude and my history teacher. This is the kind of old dude that Alfie wants to end up like. The immense personal fortitude and intellectual curiosity that remains in this man kind of make me squee like a fangirl and I think Alfie would agree. Also, it's his fault that this story is historical fiction at all, because otherwise I probably would have weaseled my way out by sticking my characters in a fantasy world where I could explain everything away with deus ex machina.

In the middle of creating process I realised it would content more figures that I've expected (how is it possible?! I rejected so many...) and I started lacking the place on the paper sheet xD

but then it's finished! :D
So! Let's have a look into it! 22 most important revoluyionaries:
[I'll start from left top to right top giving some tips to simplify recognition. then I'll go row below etc. etc.]

Here is (my first idea of) a grand, epic, glorious, gory, roaring rampage of cross-over revenge.

I tried to colour it with Photoshop. (It kind of failed. I'm not good at that.)

No, I didn't overdo the blood: there should be more, actually, but I didn't want to ruin the entire thing with a bloodbath red lines and spots everywhere.

I didn't have any other references for Charlotte's hair and clothing at the time than her paperdoll, so I sort of tried to copy the style there. And sort of slightly failed. Naturally, she has green eyes. Coz. She's Maxime's sis, after all. It just makes Fouché doing her so much creepier suddenly.

Okay, so the colouring is obviously not perfect because I usually don't colour my drawings. And I sort of rushed for the letters, because my hand was getting quite exhausted after one hour. (I don't have a tablet.) I could fix it later, but... no. And it's better than nothing, isn't it? Just that Charlotte forgot to put a cocarde somewhere on her. Hm. Pretend she lost it during a fight.

1st N.B. I don't know whose head that is.

2nd N.B. The list is not entirely in the right order: all I know is that Boissy d'Anglas is first and that Fouché is last. For the others, it's more or less that order. But the important is that Super Charlotte will massacre them all, no? :D

And for those who may wonder what Boissy d'Anglais is fucking doing in all of this, since he's not exactly a "Thermidorian" in the sense of one of the bastards who conspired, here is an explanation:

1) In the "Kill Fouché" storyline (which will... never really exist as a story), he's going to be the one who decides to leave forget coma!Charlotte in the Robespierriste Prison.

2) He's the main bastard who worked on the Constitution of Year III. And that's quite enough already.

3) I just personally want him to be massacred. For Prairial. For the Constitution of Year III. For saying the Rights of Men were seditious. For removing "all men are born free and equal in rights". For removing "the society's first goal is to achieve common happiness". And thus, when Mme Boissy d'Anglas comes back home after a nice chatting afternoon with her friends, I want her to find her bourgeois hubby massacred, and shrieking.

French revolutionary, member of the radical left-wing Jacobin faction, editor of 'L'Ami du Peuple,' world-renowned for dying in a bathtub, and general greasy bastard no one seems to like except for me.

The original sketch was drawn the day before (or was it the day of?) my Geology final at the end the semester - it's here sans les jambes: - [link] and I liked it so much I decided it needed the complete treatment in PS. Part of it was spawned by ~Daughter-Mestizo's comment on a sketch posted the day before ([link]) that it was the most innocent-looking Marat she's ever seen and I completely agreed. So I set about correcting the matter with this and hopefully it does the trick. I didn't have a good leg reference, so I used my own with the help of a mirror, so they might look a bit... er... girly. And I think, overall, he looks a bit too elegant and dashing, but that's kind of how I see him. The upper half of his body is also slightly based on this one picture: [link]

Not too sure what's going on with the lighting here. I was originally thinking of the source as above him to his left (our right) but the shadows took off on their own tangent. If you see anything that makes a vein pop out on your forehead, let me know, and I'll fix it. Lighting tends to pwn me.

Lordy, that outfit is making me twitch, though. I cross-played him once in high school for a drama production but the costume I used then was really basic. Just out of curiosity, on a scale of 1 to 10, how much would everyone be creeped out if I decided to do it again? Like, I mean my 18th century stuff and Reed Cassidy is one thing, but Marat? It would definitely be a 'character' project, more than a historical costuming endeavour. That actually doesn't sound half-bad....

A General Guide Map of Aerth.

-={ The Continents }=-

The Kingdom – Also referred by its old name of ‘Britannia’, the Kingdom is one of the oldest civilisations on Earth, steeped in history both known and undiscovered. Within its boundaries are Scotland to the North, England to the South, Ireland to the West and Wales to the East, and to the far North-west lies the Isle, an large off-shore island. Within the four main areas history, there has been much fighting and wars, both magical or otherwise, and this has caused a feeling of unease between the four main factions. Will they ever be able to live together totally, in peace, without persecuting eachother?

Egypt – Egypt is the immense, deserted land south-west of the Kingdom. It is mainly composed of huge sand-dunes and flattened, dead desert, with a few lagoons and oasis’ around in various areas. There are still more areas and cities within Egypt that go off the map, but the only ones to be spoke of in the series’ are shown here, including Bubastis and Cairo, two of Egypts biggest cities.

Afaric – The biggest of the three continents, but also the least well known, and the least discovered. A hundred or so years ago, it was the scene of the Green Maggot Tournament, and the defeat of Michelob Nix, an extremely powerful evil Necromancer. Areas discussed in the series’ involve Waspwill, an old tribal city based on voodoo and headhunters, and Mount Venus, which extends into the Eastern-most area of the map, where the Buddhist monks live in a temple high up in the mountains. The mountain itself, is said to be home to a separate hominid race of humans – the Sasquatch. North Afaric remains mostly undiscovered, because of a band of inhospitable desert, full of sandstorms which seem almost supernatural in origin – and then theres the deep, dark rainforests, and Karakkar Impassible, a band of immense, jagged cliffs and mountains on the coast which does not allow entry. It is said that Karakkar Impassible hides the oldest place known to man – an earthly Eden called Elswick Vale, but this is only legend. It is said the Mayans that live in the Deep Forest, and the Incans who live far north in the Condor Andes know the secrets of Elswick Vale, and have seen it themselves. Finally, it has also been said that life on Aerth began in Afaric, so perhaps this legend of Elswick Vale is not that far from the truth after all!

Undiscovered Glacial Land – This last, totally unknown continent has only been witnessed by few sailors through a telescope while sailing. Because of the horrible ice-flows and legends of creatures rising from the deep and devouring ships, no-one dares go near this land. No-one, therefore, knows what its like, if anyone lives there, or how big it is, even. All that is known is it is covered in ice from the coast.

Scotland (North area of the Kingdom) – Genetic home of characters like Thistle Wolberg and her mother, as well as Midas (Amy’s girlfriend), Scotland was once ruled by the Jacobins, ancient, feral warriors with kilts and sporrans and very, very big swords. Still proud and headstrong of their warrior past, Scotland takes shit from no-one! Beware! O_o

England (South area of the Kingdom) – Genetic home of characters like Amy Setterwynn and her family, England is the more ‘civilised’ version of Scotland. The two countries of Scotland and England are historical rivals, due to wars from centuries ago when the feral Jacobins were massacred by the English Redcollars. Neither side was the right side, but England civilised role could be thrown into doubt, when one would wonder how such civilised a country would or could manage to totally destroy a country of natural born fighters and warriors..

Ireland (West area of the Kingdom) – Completely desolate for about fifty or so years now, it was once a lush, green land and home to the Leprechauns, Faeries and other merry folk such as Zacharhim, the mass-murdering Rathiel from hell. : ) Once fought over by dozens of varying factions and religions and races, an all-out modern war broke out from within Ireland, and supposedly, a nuclear bomb was set off. Nothing was left, and Ireland is now off-limits to the rest of the Kingdom. It is therefore almost totally impossible to find purely Irish bloodlines now on Aerth.

Wales (East area of the Kingdom) – Genetic home of characters like Alder Beachfield, Holly Winter and Wesland Fethiye, Wales is the meekest of the four countries within the Kingdom, but between all of their quarries and their pubs, Wales is still a lovely part of the Kingdom, and equally respected by all other areas – not very much!

The Isle (North-west area of the Kingdom) – The Isle used to be a scatter of small islands roughly only a thousand or so years back, but an incredible cataclysm eminating from Egypt around the time caused the earth to shift, and they became mainly one large island, on which, a small town slowly grew up. There, exists the Isle Museum and the Isle Highschool, along with a few small mini-marts and a very good golf course. But how long will the Isle stay as it is – since the entire Isle has formed over a massive labyrinth of underground cave systems?

Bubastis (North-west area of Egypt) – Bubastis is the ancient ruined city of Egypt which was once ruled over by the Cat-goddess, Bast. Once, it was the pinnacle area for Egyptian Circles to meet together, and summon Gods to Aerth for the mutual good of both races, as well as for peace. During the first cataclysm in the battle between two Circle members, Tiezal and Alikeb, the entire city was destroyed, and most of its civilians killed and/or eaten. In the past fifty years, Bubastis has been found to harbour the small remainder of Bubastites, and with help from the city of Cairo, Bubastis is being funded into an upstanding, beautiful place to live in again..

Cairo (West area of Egypt) – The lush, rainsoaked area of Egypt, where cold ocean winds brush through the roasting sand dunes, helping the civilisation in its path to grow more and more fertile. Professionally a tourist destination and a place of study for historians and paeleontologists, Cairo has much trouble when it comes to graverobbers and money-hunters looking for artefacts to sell on the Black Market. But if you can ignore the usual attack by desert Mongols and the Farsikh tribe which lives on the outskirts of town practicing headhunting, and the occasional giant, building-high King Cobra’s and… ahem. Anyway, it’s a pretty interesting place from time to time.

The Red Desert (North-Eastern area of Egypt) – A largely unknown area of Egypt which is apparently just ruined land, with no life inhabiting it whatsoever. It was known to have had a city at one point in history, as steps and columns can be seen protruding from the sand during a sandstorm. As its name suggests, the sand there is a bright, blood red apart from any other area in Egypt, and yet the sands composition is identical to anywhere else. There are, however, legends as to how the sand got this deep red hue..

Judean Sea – The Judean Sea is the large expanse of water stretching from the far North-west of the Kingdom to the low South-west. Its also the area where tropical warm water tends to meet cold, northern water, and this causes many storms and bad weather, and this is usually the cause of the Kingdoms well-known bad, gloomy weather for most of the year.

Waspwill (Northern-west area of Afaric) – This small area of Afaric is the renowned home to many varying kinds of Afaric customs, religions.. and magics. Once, it was the scene of a great massacre of thousands of Afaricans, when the undead necromancer Michelob Nix cast a mighty killing spell over its entire populace – just out of boredom. Through history, Afarics shaman, necromancy and voodoo origins have fell away along with dozens and dozens of other magics and religions, and the remaining few of people who still follow the “old ways” there are persecuted and reviled, out of fear of a repeat of Nix’s spells on them.

Mount Venus – A huge mountain roughly in the central north area of Afaric, Venus is a hollow mountain, the rarest of its kind in the world, as its centre holds thousands of millions of varying species of gemstone, crystal and diamonds, as well as stalactites, stalagmites and cave formations unseen on any other area of the earth. This is protected by the Buddhist monks who inhabit Tiger Temple, close to its summit.

Yucca Gully (North-west area of Afaric) – Yucca Gully is one of the only few known rainforests on Aerth, and it is the only one to have been explored by travellers from the Kingdom, because of its deep, steamy canopies and cold, mild nights, it can be a difficult place to live for someone who has came from a temperate climate. It is thought that three quarters of the worlds animal and plant life lives in this one band of forest, but there is much controversy surrounding it, as Yucca Gully is under constant pressure to be mowed down by developers from the Kingdom..

The Deep Rainforest (North area of Afaric) – Getting into the least well known areas now, even very few inhabitants from Waspwill or nearer have dared venture this far. Filled to the brim with some of the strangest beasts on Earth, it is rumoured to be the accursed band of protective forest surrounding the famed Elswick Vale, an Earthly-Eden cut off from the rest of the world by huge, immense and jagged rocks, sheer cliff faces, insane tribes and vicious animals, as well as the Deep Rainforest itself, which only ‘the worthy’ may ever venture through to the other side..

Karakkar Impassible – The ‘Evil Brother’ to the Condor Andes, Karakkar Impassible is inhabited by no human, and the only creatures who inhabit it are cliffhanging wallopers and tiny, crack-creeping lizards and snakes. Created during the first cataclysm, the continent of the Kingdom flew eastbound at an incredible rate, and directly into the West-face of the Afaric continent, throwing earth into the air and creating the immense, jagged cliffs we now see in Karakkar today. With winds reaching over 100 mph and completely vertical, wind-smoothed cliff-faces, Karakkar Impassible definitely lives up to its name – but what do these cliffs have to hide? What is the land that lies beyond?

Condor Andes – The home of llamas and pan pipes and the mighty Condors, the Andes has many of its own legends, including that of the infamous Roc, or Thunderbird, a bird who’s wingspan blots out the very sky it flies in. Homeplace to a dozen or so different tribes and cultures, especially the Mayans, the Condor Andes are a scenic and beautiful place on Aerth to visit, and a peaceful place to live. However – don’t piss off the Mayans, as they will quickly become violent, and don’t try to go through their villages to the other side of the Andes to the hidden land – on pain of death!

Elswick Vale, the Hidden Gardens – Largely a legend, and based very loosely on fact, Elswick Vale is rumoured to be a massive collection of forest and beach, heath-land and marsh, desert and cliffs – every possible habitat in one area of the Aerth. Ancient legends tell of a guardian who resides, and possibly created this land, who’s hair is formed from grasses and who’s muscles are formed from stone, who’s blood is the water of the oceans and who’s heartbeat is all of nature. But such an area could never exist, never-mind such a being – could it?

1 – Oakhaven – Home of Amy Setterwynn, Alder Beachfield and the rest of the gang in the Setterwynn comic series. Eventually becomes home to Thistle Wolberg and her family as well, and is the place where the final magic battle against Morgana begins and ends.

2 – Glasgow – The city just shy of Oakhaven, which is more of a country town. This city is the office central for the Walt Gregori Illuminati, under the guise of the multinational corporation giant, Ganon Corp.

3 – Calcifer University, Berry Building – At the end of all of the series, this is where Amy and friends go to University, and meet up with even more new friends.. and enemies. Its also where Holly Winter encounters the detective who was seeking for her arrest.

4 – London – The biggest city in the Kingdom, and supposedly the complete central agency for the Walt Gregori Illuminati, but this is still to be seen.

5 – Hisslop Prison – This is the maximum secuirity prison where Holly Winter, the worlds worse serial killer, was imprisoned – and escaped from.

6 – Faux Town – Home to Wesland Fethiye, Belle the Genie and their friends. The orangey beach on the south coast of Wales is where Wesland found Belles bottle.

7 – Isle Highschool – The scene of one of the bloodiest magic wars in history, a war fought between the Bast and Sun Circles of ancient Egypt. Anstice, leader of the Bast Circle, haunts a cave system underneath the highschool, whereas Alec, leader of the Sun Circle, hides in the forests surrounding the school.

8 – Isle Museum of Natrual History and Archaelogy – Upon one look at the Isle Museum, it could be said it is an amazing, incredible place with the amount of specimens and areas of interest it has, but for some reason, it is falling into bankruptcy…

9 – Lemuria, the Sunken World – Far West on the map, north of Egypt, the ocean floor drops dramatically, and below, supposedly, lies Lemuria, the oldest civilisation in history..

10 – The Green Maggot Tournament – This is the area within Afaric where all Shamans, Voodoos, Tribespeople and Dark Magicians come together in a tournament to prove their worth – and was once the scene of the final defeat of Michelob Nix, the worlds only Undead Necromancer.

11 – Tiger Temple – A Buddhist temple high up on the Venus Mountain, home to Pandas, Iguanadons and a huge group of Tigers – and, as Redford Wolberg found out in the underground labyrinths of the temple – there is a lot more creatures there than you would bargain for!

12 – Kulo Koleem – Far in undiscovered forest lies the home of the Yuccas, tiny, very cute plant-animal crosses who live up in the treetops. Supposedly, they are the last of their kind – and the single only species of magical creature whom still officially stay on Earth all of their lives.

And finally, beyond the Ocean of Loss lies an unknown channel – and in the horizon can be seen further land, far off in the sea. What, or who lives there? -={ The Continents }=-

The Kingdom – Also referred by its old name of ‘Britannia’, the Kingdom is one of the oldest civilisations on Earth, steeped in history both known and undiscovered. Within its boundaries are Scotland to the North, England to the South, Ireland to the West and Wales to the East, and to the far North-west lies the Isle, an large off-shore island. Within the four main areas history, there has been much fighting and wars, both magical or otherwise, and this has caused a feeling of unease between the four main factions. Will they ever be able to live together totally, in peace, without persecuting eachother?

Egypt – Egypt is the immense, deserted land south-west of the Kingdom. It is mainly composed of huge sand-dunes and flattened, dead desert, with a few lagoons and oasis’ around in various areas. There are still more areas and cities within Egypt that go off the map, but the only ones to be spoke of in the series’ are shown here, including Bubastis and Cairo, two of Egypts biggest cities.

Afaric – The biggest of the three continents, but also the least well known, and the least discovered. A hundred or so years ago, it was the scene of the Green Maggot Tournament, and the defeat of Michelob Nix, an extremely powerful evil Necromancer. Areas discussed in the series’ involve Waspwill, an old tribal city based on voodoo and headhunters, and Mount Venus, which extends into the Eastern-most area of the map, where the Buddhist monks live in a temple high up in the mountains. The mountain itself, is said to be home to a separate hominid race of humans – the Sasquatch. North Afaric remains mostly undiscovered, because of a band of inhospitable desert, full of sandstorms which seem almost supernatural in origin – and then theres the deep, dark rainforests, and Karakkar Impassible, a band of immense, jagged cliffs and mountains on the coast which does not allow entry. It is said that Karakkar Impassible hides the oldest place known to man – an earthly Eden called Elswick Vale, but this is only legend. It is said the Mayans that live in the Deep Forest, and the Incans who live far north in the Condor Andes know the secrets of Elswick Vale, and have seen it themselves. Finally, it has also been said that life on Aerth began in Afaric, so perhaps this legend of Elswick Vale is not that far from the truth after all!

Undiscovered Glacial Land – This last, totally unknown continent has only been witnessed by few sailors through a telescope while sailing. Because of the horrible ice-flows and legends of creatures rising from the deep and devouring ships, no-one dares go near this land. No-one, therefore, knows what its like, if anyone lives there, or how big it is, even. All that is known is it is covered in ice from the coast.
