wow. okay here's how this happened: I was sitting there and started drawing Gale 'cause I wanted a clear picture of him in my mind. thing is I've been reading nothing but Hunger Games lately, and I've been picturing everything in my mind so when I grabbed the pencil it vomited all of this out. ahh feels so good.

you probably guessed who all of these are already (most have their district number in their jacket anyway) but just in case: foxface, glimmer, gale, peeta, katniss, cato, thresh, prim and rue.

I love this series. hope you like

.....sorry I'm not a fan of this book series.....this was my summer project before freshmen year.....I was forced to read The Hunger Games.....and draw this............

these were drawn in separate sheets but I combined them with the help of Paint (plain old Paint).....

I DID NOT KNOW RUE WAS BLACK UNTIL THE MOVIE CAME OUT! WHEN I READ THE BOOK, HER ONLY DESCRIPTION WAS "DARK SKIN AND DARK HAIR". IT DID NOT OCCUR TO ME THAT THAT MEANT THAT SHE IS BLACK. I THOUGHT SHE WAS SOME KIND OF REALLY TAN PERSON.

This is a watercolor painting of Peeta and Katniss, from The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins. It's an ubber awesome grook (yes, grook, not book, meaning great-book) that I read last week. If you haven't read it already, then you really should. Because it's awesome. So, yeah. CHECK IT OUT A.S.A.P.!

I realize that Katniss always has her hair braided in the grook, but, I drew the braid and it made her look sort of screwy, so I just left it down in the end. Also, since I can't get all the little details in with watercolor like I can with pencil, I didn't draw the mockingjay pin. But know that it is still there, within Katniss's heart...

Or whatever. You know what I mean.

So here is a little doodle of Katniss. I know she isn't holding the bow properly, its partly to blame because of the edges of the paper. So just imagine she's in the middle of aiming and hasn't completely stretched out her arm yet. ^^ ; haha

Not 100% happy with this, but it was definitely an experiment with color
and no pen lines (which actually made this very difficult), so I suppose I'm pleased.
I don't usually blame my scanner for my artistic shortcomings,
but this one really does look better in person

Ok, Finally a more recent peice of work.

I drew this between after I finished the book "The Hunger Games", and when I started on "Catching Fire". It's a good series so far. Can't wait for the third book to come out...

This is a lineart wich means i MIGHT color it. But if anyone wants to color it, feel free!

I recently saw the trailer for the upcoming Hunger Games movie and it instantly gained my interest, so I borrowed the books from one of my friends and - to sum up the time - I read all three of them in less than four days!!

And now I'm highly anticipating the movie adaption - I think Jennifer Lawrence will make an awesome portrayal as Katniss!

That's why - here comes my version of The Girl on Fire!

edit: because a few of you were asking "why is there no arrow?/why isn't she holding the bowstring?" etc. here's why: because she just shot the arrow. right after you release the bowstring when shooting an arrow, you remain in a position like this for a few seconds.

Even though it's not the first Hunger Games deviation I've submitted, it was in fact the first Hunger Games drawing I started. The face was killing me and I kept re-drawing and then leaving it.
But today I managed to finish it, largely because I gave up on drawing the second eye and just made it closed lol! The things we do to hide our lack of know-how!!

So here she is, Katniss Everdeen, the girl who was on fire.

Yet another Hunger Games fanart.

ok. LAST TIME I draw something set in 13. That awful AWFUL place where everything is grey and everything has NO CHARACTER and there's NOTHING that has no functionality.
It's been hell to draw, I kept adding things (like I usually do) in the room and then I realized that in a compartment in 13 there wouldn't be such thing.

Next Time I'll draw these two on the shore. Were they should be.

This book somewhat reminded me of the Japanese novel, "Battle Royale".

I absolutely love this book, and I recommend it to anyone who loves to read. I usually don't do much pixel art anymore, but it was time I did one. I know the fade is really short and I kind of messed up, but I hope you like it. ;]

The Hunger Games books were a really great read for me, but also a very difficult one. I wanted to draw that Katniss, the one that has been through so much.

This is the first drawing is a series that I will call "Slice of Life", I will draw scenes for different animes/books that picture the main characters in a moment that is part of every-day-life.

So to begin here are Peeta and Katniss, from the Hunger Games book series. I just finish the 3 books and I loved them. Though I wished for more Peeta/Katniss in the 3rd one... meh.

EDIT: As some people pointed out, Katniss has gray eyes and black hair. The eyes was a mistake on my part (sorry! will correct next time), but the hair was colored lighter on purpose to fit the general light color of the picture. Hope that doesn't bother you too much.
