The pack terms I'm going to use in this description come from Laurrel K Hammilton's "Anita Blake Vampire Hunter" novels which is where this analogy started.
Also note that mate = soulmate, partner, love when I use it here.....
Anyway....

This picture is dedicated to my Ulfric

Starting from the top is Jonathan, our Ulfric. He is the pack leader watching over all of us and taking care of us when we need him.
Beside him is Jacki, his mate and our Lupa. She stands loyaly at his side in our pack.
The white wolf is Brian. Brian is Geri, third in the pack. He stands at the edge of the pack patrolling, ready to keep us safe.
The grey/brown wolf at the bottom is me, Freki. I am second in the pack, though I have no intention of fighting for dominance. The pack may look to me in the absence of or in addition to our alpha.
Behind me is Joe, my mate. He is Skoll, first enforcer of the pack. He stands ready to protect me and the pack should any enemy arise.
Next is Andy. She is our Bolvarek, the one who does what our Ulfrick can't or won't do, his dirty deeds. She is a powerful member of the pack.
Denise is next, our Eras. It is her job to comfort and guide new members of the pack.
With her is her mate Jeremy. He is Hati, the othe second enforcer of the pack. He is a force of reason and logic.

The colors I got from Jonathan, I asked what he thought who would be and I agreed with his choices fully...the only one I can credit my own mind is Joe I'm sure he'd have said he was a black wolf like Andy and Jeremy but I know better XP

I tried to pick poses that sort of showed the character of the people the wolves represent but I think at least some of that was lost when I drew them -_-

Just so everyone knows I've drawn maybe 2 wolves in my entire life before this and was told one of them looked like a normal dog....I tried very hard but I don't think these are any better.

Went around DA looking for various coloring tips and discovered the magic of the smudge tool. I used it to make this picture suck less. I actually mostly like it now. There isn't really any shading which is sad but when I got finished with everything else I wasn't exactly sure how to go about the shadows so it is as it stands. Unless I learn some phenomenally awesome trick that will make this a million times better I am NEVER coloring this again. It took me a couple of hourse per wolf and it's just not worth doing again. If you don't like this version then tough shit.
And in case you didn't notice, there are not lines except for the mouths which look crappy but had to be done that way. I've never done a picture with no lines, it's hard, but I like it. It's a little ironic since the actually picture on paper is just a rough sketch with a lot of lines and no color of definition.

Please notice that critique is discouraged, if you see something that is wrong with this picture or you dislike it for any reason keep it to yourself because I DON'T want to hear it. ]]>

The concept of a group of siblings fighting numerous evils in the Marvel Universe has always struck me as extra chunky cool. It's a huge and scary place and the prospects for adventure are endless.

If I could write and draw Power Pack (a dream job for me), I'd do the comic much like "Opey the Warhead". There would be a lot of humor, but a lot of darker, more serious things, too. While the world to a kid is seen through much simpler eyes than that of an adult, all of the same evils and dangers of the world still exist no matter how a child views them. How these four kids---Gee, Energizer, Mass Master, and Lightspeed---would fight or triumph over those evils in a universe made for bigger, tougher heroes, well, that would be something I'd love to see. ]]>

This is my first time to try something sequential. It's a lot more work, but it puts the characters into more situations. And some situations just work better with context and set-up. This is only part one of the scenario. The next one will reveal the villain and there will be something for bondage fans.

Uggh…this took a while to finish with school and procrastination. This took about 55 layers. I used to draw these characters so much when I was 9 (and horribly too) because I was so into the cartoon I had to watch it whenever it came on. Then when I was 11, I could draw them almost the way they were in the show, but now I can’t, and if I did, they’d look terrible. Sadly, the show got knocked off the air. The series only had 13 episodes.

I tried to keep the entire image strip a constant blue to make it a bit appealing than switching around colors. There’s several flaws in this image. I deleted the motion blur out of the image since it looked weird and was a distraction on Hunter, so it just looks like he’s just standing there caught in the action when he’s actually speeding away from it. In the 2nd block, the walls don’t look too metallic. And the scratch marks were added to just to emphasize Blitz scaring the enemies. In the 3rd block, the ships look a bit retarded. Now the rails she’s leaning against are like the rails on bridges on highways you get on. It’s a bit off on perspective because they’re probably supposed to be shorter.

4th block is supposed to be calm and serene. The foggy thing is supposed to be a blizzard. The wolves are the worst-looking part of the entire image. But in this block, Exile’s supposed to feel a sense of belonging to this pack of wolves because of his part-wolf blood. It’s just supposed to be an emotional scene. I couldn’t decide what background to use in block 5 because I was out of ideas, so I put a jet racing across the sky, and quite uncannily, the 6th block corresponds quite well with the purple flash. I used a pose of Trunks in the “Gracias” doujinshi for block 5 , so the pose wasn’t originally my idea. And the way I did his hair reminds me of Trunks. In block 6, the perspective seems a little off depending on how you see it. It could be because of the bridge rails and bad shadowing areas. This block is also supposed to have a sense of calamity.

IThe clouds in blocks 1, 3, and 5 are different:
1 – perspective and somewhat cumulus
3 – normal
5 – stratus?

Overall, I’m happy with how this came out, even though it ate up a lotta time and I don’t like some of the flaws. Sorry this description was too long

4th block is supposed to be calm and serene. The foggy thing is supposed to be a blizzard. The wolves are the worst-looking part of the entire image. But in this block, Exile’s supposed to feel a sense of belonging to this pack of wolves because of his part-wolf blood. It’s just supposed to be an emotional scene. I couldn’t decide what background to use in block 5 because I was out of ideas, so I put a jet racing across the sky, and quite uncannily, the 6th block corresponds quite well with the purple flash. I used a pose of Trunks in the “Gracias” doujinshi for block 5 , so the pose wasn’t originally my idea. And the way I did his hair reminds me of Trunks. In block 6, the perspective seems a little off depending on how you see it. It could be because of the bridge rails and bad shadowing areas. This block is also supposed to have a sense of calamity.

IThe clouds in blocks 1, 3, and 5 are different:
1 – perspective and somewhat cumulus
3 – normal
5 – stratus?

Overall, I’m happy with how this came out, even though it ate up a lotta time and I don’t like some of the flaws. Sorry this description was too long

Russel - Russel is cool and colected. He is the voice of reason in the Silver Falcon pack. His instincts are rarely wrong and he often pulls the pack out of a tight spot (usually put there by his brother Striker). His fur is an earthy green with cream colored markings on his underbelly and a 'band' of cream colored fur on his front right leg. His eyes are a bright yellow.

Striker - Striker is a sly and cunning prankster. His fur resembles that of a fox in a very fitting way. He is witty and sly, and often gets the pack into trouble with his tricks. He prefers to wander in the night, hiding amongst the shadows where only his bright green eyes can be seen flashing in the starlight. His fur is a rich brown with red markings that fade to black on his snout and the tips of his feet, ears, and tail. Striker is Russel's brother

Kayla - Kayla is the alpha wolf of the pack, her bright golden eyes often hold a gleam of mischief, her smile letting the pck know she is planning something new. She is quick to try anything new and loves to suprise those around her. Her mate, Kavin is often the only one capable of keeping her from getting into trouble. She has one pup named Chai. Her fur is a light blue and she has four pale purple markings on the left side of her face, often mistaken for scars.

Chai - Chai is Kavin and Kayla's pup, and the only pup in the pack. He is pale brown with a cream colored underbelly. He has dark blue eyes. Chai is still very young and follows his father Kavin wherever he goes, giving him the nickname in the pack of "Little Shadow". He has never made a sound and it is suspected he may be mute.

Kavin - Kavin is Kayla's mate, making him the alpha male, however Kayla holds more power then he does, he is still well respected for his decision making skills and prowess as a tactical hunter. Their pup Chai can often be seen following him like a second shadow wherever the pack goes. His father is Zephrin. His fur is a deep, rich red with a dark purple stripe along his back, from his forehead to the tip of his tail, and a spot on the left side of his snout and above his left eye. He also has cream colored markings around his right eye and on his front feet. His eyes are chestnut brown.

Zephrin - Zephrin was the alpha male of the pack but turned it over to Kayla when she became old enough to lead them. He is a wise wolf who has seen many seasons, however he is still just as fast as the rest of the pack, and much stronger. He doesn't say much, but when he does everyone listens. His fur is a deep dark blue and he has dark aqua on his paws and the tips of his ears, snout, and tail. His eyes are usually bright yellow but sometimes appear to be orange.

Akell - Akell appears white at a glance but is actually a very light, pale green. She has fiery orange eyes that match the marking above her left eye. She has a temper and is known to have a bigger bite then her bark. She rarely raises her voice but she is not afraid to snap at those who tick her off. She is much the opposite of her twin brother Dimitri.

Again, love Power Pack. I want to keep drawing more of them, but I never get around to it. And I especially want to get back to this little occurance. ^^

Something hits the kids and suddenly they were born in reverse order (plus everyone's a little younger overall). Katie is the big, smart high school student, Jack is a Jr. High football player, Julie is a padded grade-schooler, and cuddly little Alex's still in preschool. ^^ They're still Power Pack, still capable of kicking supervillain butt up and down the country, just not quite like they're used to.

Would love to get back to this, but we'll see how it goes. Did really love the aforementioned RP...

and while I liked it, I wanted to revisit Power Girl when my skills improved. Here is the new and improved image. This one gave me a chance to work on a lot of things with 3D work I don't do enough of, transparencies, bump maps and textures. I switched from Aiko to V4 for this because I really needed to work with this 3D figure more and in the end, I think the non-anime approach works better for this character.

This version is inspired by the Wally Wood versions just before DC shut him down. I debated on the nipples and in the end went with them with the idea if she's really stressing the fabric Power Girl style, it's not really out of line to have them visible. Others may disagree but that's my story and I'm sticking to it.

Costume is V4 legless bodysuit. Gloves are bodysuit expansion pack, Hair is Beverly Hair from Daz3D. Cape is V4 morphing cloak. The face is from a morph texture package called Pixie available at Renderosity. I use the textures from this package a lot but have never use the face morph and I think it looks great here.

Power Girl is the property of DC Comics.

I personally wanted to make them into a brush because a lot of fan wallpapers/icons that I make are for The Mortal Instruments Trilogy by Cassandra Clare (they are amazing books, you should definitely read them!). The characters have runes written on their skin for different powers and such. But, obviously, these runes can be used for anything your little heart desires. ]]>
