Noajde and Snake

Finally finished! I used 20 layers of airbrush plus 5 different textures for this piece. The original idea was to have the snake and the wolf communicating via a flashing light. It kinda sorta came out that way. The effect is supposed to be solemn and slightly fearful. I don't know if I achieved it or not.

Anyway, about the subject matter. Noajde is the Saami word for a shaman. The Saami are a people indigenous to Lappland (a territory spanning northern Finland, Russia, Sweden, and part of Norway). They have an ethnographic relationship to Siberian tribes, but many of them are blonde-haired and blue-eyed. Anyway, part of Saami mythology is the white snake, a prophetic creature who spews magical stones out of its mouth by spinning in a circle. The stones are laden with "vaki," magical power. Here, the white snake is pictured as the shaman's helpmate, helping him to see the future. The wolf itself is nothing special. I just don't like drawing people.

This is what happens if i buckle down and actually work on something. It's Old Snake from MGS4. I had to draw the skin texture. I'll Stress that I have NOT USED ANY special brushes or textures!
Anyway, nothing's perfect, but as of now i consider this one of my better pieces, at least compared to what i started with LOL [link]

Anywayz, here's a quick sketch of Snake-Eyes in photoshop (1 hour or so). I like the textures in here :3 It looks inky~ like if I did it with a marker on paper XD I used one of photoshop's default rectangular brushes for this one~ Scarlett isn't in the picture unfortunately XP Hopefully she'll be in the next one nya.

Probably my all time favorite video game character.Such a badass.

I wanted to finish this before the 25th anniversary,but got held up with work.I loaded up the game a couple of days back and five minutes in,I knew I had to get this drawing done.

*Edit - Toned down the color so the textures are more visible and added a '25'.Also made a few changes to the actual figure.

Finally finished o.o

_{This started as a blue pencil doodle on SAI...pretty rough and nothing interesting...but when I inked it I added too much detail on the clothing..and when I colored it I shaded it with too many layers..and when I started doing the BG..I realized I did it again....another unnecessary over did work

The style is not so manganime this time, I tried to make it a lil bit more cartoon.

Hahaha. If I was Snake I would totally want to do that with Olga hahaha, I think many people remember her long hair there xD

And yeah! I think her hair there is totally rational since she's no playing to be miss universe on the game and has no time to even shave Olga..I'm with you....but still You gotta admit you wanna cut her roots xD

Bout the scissor...I owe the same scissor and i thought the colors would fit and look nice, plus that scisor really cuts..even metal O_O

I've been playing Metal Gear Solid: Sons of Liberty with Moriya so I dedicate this specially to him ^^

I used SAI for the sketch and inking of the character and the coloring in photoshop...I also did the BG with vectors textures and gradients on photoshops which is bases on the Aft deck of the Tanker stage of the game, when you as Snake, fight against Olga.

I love the game like many games of this genre. More fanart to come of this..you bet}

Fallout NV - Snake Bite

A little something different from me. I had an urge to do some artistic nudity, and added a little something sinister to it.
Well, maybe not sinister, but hey! Dimi likes it rough XD. And alcohol numbs the pain~.

Drunkenness + two horny 20-somethings = a duel of a different kind, is the basic explanation for this picture ;3

I went a little more painterly than usual, and at first I didn't like it. But once I got some details added in there, it started to come together better :3. Lots of refs were used.

The Tunnel Snake tattoo is just a minor difference between FO3 Dimi and NV Dimi(and will likely hardly ever be seen XD). Considering her original self (non-Fallout) has a huge snakey-dragon tattoo, she kinda felt 'bare' without any ink. Problem fixed!
That nasty looking scar happens in FO3, too. She gets tagged by a ripper.

I think that's all. Time to rest my poor wrist T^T(and sleep).

Fourth of my Boss Battles series (no, I haven't abandoned it yet ), Solid Snake Vs. Sniper Wolf from Metal Gear Solid.

Since MGS4 is almost upon us I thought I'd get on with this one to mark it's release as well as the tenth anniversary of the original MGS on the Playstation 1.

This battle stood out for me as being particularly great. Probably because it was the first time I've seen sniper versus sniper. It was later to be outdone by Snake vs The End in MGS3 but this one got there first!

Anyway hope you all enjoy my little nostalgia trip - I was aiming for a MGS feel with my lineart.

After seeing some SSBB fanart and screenshots that include Samus and Snake in some 'moments', I wanted to draw some fan art including these two. It was a strange little idea that crawled through in my head and humped my brain. And my ideas actually do that, lol.

And pardon for the crappy textures on the floor and the dresser... >.> I was fooling around with textures. But, I like the way how the back of Zero Suit Samus came out. I also like how I did Snake's expression, lol. I'm also planning to draw a SSBB pic based on a hilarious cutscene.

Grey Fox and Solid Snake

Grey Fox & Solid Snake from KONAMI's [Metal Gear] series.

This is a remake of a very old pic I did about 2-3years ago. I found it recently, and still loved the idea/composition so much that I decided to draw it again. It came out so much better than I originally thought it could all those years ago.
It's pretty amazing what a few years can do to one's artwork.

The pencils are done in Salvador Laroca's X-Treme X-Men style (one I used on some previous Legacy of Kain work - look at my early submissions for those). I think it's probably one of the best things I've ever taken on from another artist.

The colouring was a bitch, took me ages, but it was well worth it; and well worth the experimentation!
I'm really glad that I am finally managing to colour with more depth and texture!

As much as I " dislike " snakes it's rather unusual that I"d use one like this, but... I do love their textures and actually the tenacity that they display and embrace. I felt using the tear coupled with the snake represented more of an allegorical meaning.

I wasn't going to color this, but a lot of people seemed to like the messy as crap sketch, so I thought what the hell.

Neville has always been one of my favorite characters in the story, I guess I could relate to him growing up, and even now. Being a loser who's pushed around your whole life by those above you, being pressured to live up to standards that you can't fulfill, and then finding something you're really passionate about (for me, it's art), and in turn, finding yourself.

Tried to make him look like Matt, but I gave him different hair since I ~~hate drawing really short hair~~ wanted to give him a more "book" canon feel, and not stick 100% with the movie. But it ended up looking more movie-verse than anything anyway. I just want that sweater LOL. Grandma/grandpa sweaters are my thing. Sweaters, tights, and boots. Anyway. Got really lazy with the cardigan though...like REALLY lazy.

I wasn't really sure where to take this piece LOL. But it just looked weird with Neville being the only subject, and I didn't feel like drawing another person into this. Nagini and the sword kind of was the only thing that worked.

Since I can't draw snakes or swords to save my life (and I'm lazy), I used photos found online (credit given above), and manipulated them with filters, and painted over them several times. Added his left arm in digitally, so the texture/proportion is a bit off compared to the rest of the piece. But I'm too lazy to fix it. fffff

Another commission for or "lemondrop" of a snake transformation!

The clumsy maiden has transformed herself into a snake by accident. It was fun to try to draw someone without arms and to create the misty effect in the background. i usually like to make a more complete background for the scene but i thought this was more appropriate. snakes are shrouded in mystery, so i thought the misty background was a great suggestion by lemondrop!

Looking at the eyes, i think it's about to molt.

The skin of a snake is covered in scales. Contrary to the popular notion of snakes being slimy because of possible confusion of snakes with worms, snakeskin has a smooth, dry texture. Most snakes use specialized belly scales to travel, gripping surfaces. The body scales may be smooth, keeled, or granular. The eyelids of a snake are transparent "spectacle" scales, which remain permanently closed, also known as brille.

The shedding of scales is called ecdysis (or in normal usage, molting or sloughing). In the case of snakes, the complete outer layer of skin is shed in one layer. Snake scales are not discrete, but extensions of the epidermishence they are not shed separately but as a complete outer layer during each molt, akin to a sock being turned inside out.

The shape and number of scales on the head, back, and belly are often characteristic and used for taxonomic purposes. Scales are named mainly according to their positions on the body. In "advanced" (Caenophidian) snakes, the broad belly scales and rows of dorsal scales correspond to the vertebrae, allowing scientists to count the vertebrae without dissection.

Snakes' eyes are covered by their clear scales (the brille) rather than movable eyelids. Their eyes are always open, and for sleeping, the retina can be closed or the face buried among the folds of the body.

Molting serves a number of functions. Firstly, the old and worn skin is replaced; secondly, it helps get rid of parasites such as mites and ticks. Renewal of the skin by moulting is supposed to allow growth in some animals such as insects; however, this has been disputed in the case of snakes.

Molting occurs periodically throughout a snake's life. Before a molt, the snake stops eating and often hides or moves to a safe place. Just before shedding, the skin becomes dull and dry looking and the eyes become cloudy or blue-colored. The inner surface of the old skin liquefies. This causes the old skin to separate from the new skin beneath it. After a few days, the eyes clear and the snake "crawls" out of its old skin. The old skin breaks near the mouth and the snake wriggles out, aided by rubbing against rough surfaces. In many cases, the cast skin peels backward over the body from head to tail in one piece, like pulling a sock off inside-out. A new, larger, brighter layer of skin has formed underneath.

MotME - Bacsojin - White Snake Lady

Bacsojin is an MVP from Ragnarok Online. The model was based on the card art rather than the game sprite.

After some research, I found out that "Bacsojin" was just a Korean transliteration of the Chinese name "Bai Su Zhen" which means "White Snake Lady". Bai Su Zhen is part of the Chinese Methology.

Bai Su Zhen was a female white snake demon who dreamed of becoming a goddess by doing good deeds. She takes the form of a human and goes to the human world to do so.

I hope you had a wonderful day, my dear! A-and hope youll like this I wanted to draw some fluff and some Luca-being-a-head-taller-than-Kohana, and suddenly that reptile pattern came up, and everything just did fit together ~~at least in my head lel~~

So I wanted to make them somewhat like as a New Year postcard, with the texture and their respective clothing for the occasion... _{omg as much as I adore Kohana's outfit, that flower pattern was a pain to do xDDD (no copypaste or custom brush there, all painted by hand!) But I think they turned out well, though ^^}

May this Year of the Snake bring you great success and happiness and lots of corgis! Keep being awesome, honey ★

THE STORY SO FAR: Kobra Kahn had escaped from his cell at the Eternian prison of villainous henchmen, and was last seen making his way through the Swamps of Enchantment possibly a secret route to Snake Mountain only he'd know. Adam and Teela were already out on the Evergreen Forest when they heard Duncan's alert and Teela insisted they get to him first since they were closest, much to Duncan AND Adam's protests. As they flew over the terrain on their wind raiders they spotted Kahn in a clearing on the run, but so did he, and with snake-like agility he leaped up to the canopy in efforts to firing his acidic venom at them, damaging Teela's raider she lost control barrelling down for the swamps. Adam took the opportunity to land elsewhere and transform into He-Man before going after Kahn. He-Man could already hear the sounds of some kind of struggle near by and made haste to assist Teela only to find her besieged by some new friends Kobra Kahn seem to have made in the swamps, "putting her in a bit of a bind are you fellas' " He-Man chided as he went to pull them off Teela. Only his attempt at a timely rescue would be interrupted by Kobra Kahn, whom until now was hiding out of sight as he quickly knocked His Power Sword from his hand before he could react, He-Man would next attempt to simply lift the snake man overhead and launch him out of the way, only Kahn had another idea as his hood opened up spraying his sleep miasma right in His face. As He-Man quickly turned away trying not to inhale, he squinted to see Teela becoming a little too acquainted with the serpents' powerful coils...

Finalmente!!! This ten-ton gorilla of a project is done! And I feel an invisible weight literally falling off my back when I saved the final draft last night at 2am and again today as I'm posting it for the WORLD to see . I went with the updated title "Snake Pit" after the Mike Young Production episode of the same name, as it would look if it were a classic cover illustration like Earl Norem would have done (or at least me trying to re-create his style ). My only regret is not drawing He-Man's Power Sword but I just wanted this to be done with and move on to other projects, but my back-story explains his sword bring MIA pretty well I suppose ! I'll be moving the earlier version to the drafts section, thanks to everyone who commented and ed on it and looked forward to the final, your wait is over LOL! All comments welcome of course !

Well, I should done the smart thing and gone to bed at 10 buuttt... I stayed up and drew this instead. And it is now 2:30 AM... I NEED SLEEP FOR SCHOOL ;__;

HAZ A SNAKE AND AN EMILY. I wasn't sure what emily looked like, BUT AFTER STUDING VARIOUS SCANS AND A COLORED SCAN I'M PRETTY SURE THAT'S WHAT EMILY LOOKS LIKE. ALSO, I CAN NOT DRAW SNAKES.

Just a preview of what I think will be my last drawing before I really have to put much more time into studying for the bar exam. It's less than a month until that rolls around.

I was originally going to make this Lara Croft, but then I decided I'd just make it a random person, so I can make it a print if I want to (not that anyone would actually buy one). I think the toughest part will be the snake, as trying to texture the scales is a pain in the ass. I didn't do a very good job of it on my past Jill vs. The Snake piece, but this time I think I'll try using the Photoshop texturizer, drawing out my own scale texture for it, and then blurring the hell out of it.

I'd welcome some advice on how to color the snake convincingly.

Yup, I really needed more female characters because it's just a plain shame how few I have, needless to say when I look at what i have in my gallery it always appears to be too far from the ideal I have in my mind...

It's just for a long time I've been thinking how female nudity is widely considered to be "overrated" and how it makes many people upset, but then i figured it may be actually not quite right... it's not that female nudity is "overrated", it's just there are actually two completely different kinds of nude art:

- 1st with the sole purpose to entertain the male society (and since it's entertainment, you naturally have too much of the same boring stuff as long as there are people willing to pay for it);

- 2nd with the purpose to say the female body is a perfection on its own regardless if any man is watching or not.

Naturally, the 2nd kind doesn't have to be any vulgar or pornographic in nature simply because we're not really trying to entertain anybody, so it would be just a way to admire the human figure and use it as a base for a work of art, in this case I think "overrated" would be a wrong word to use, it's more like a way of admiration I think ^-^

And yup, now that I'm done with my "academic bullshit", it's time for us to fill the screen with all the "very nice" and "omg shes hot" XD

I challenged myself to make this as a “speedmanip” in under 4– and for once I succeeded omg!! This is my interpretation of a Naga, a serpent or snake-humanoid. Once again I am playing with ideas about anatomy – how would the muscle and bone structure of a snake-person really work? I also decided to make him shades of blue and grey – to match the scales on the cobra in a basket I used for a base. His eyes are also blue – wrong for a snake I know, but who knows what colour a snake-man’s eyes can be

is now in complete captivity under my empires harem stronghold.

She had seemed to come quite willingly to the harem. And as such i had the imps create a custom suit for her.

After a warm bath and scrubbing in cleaning oil, giving Sassy a healthy, shiny scaled look, we slipped her into this silk tight suit. Multiple cuff bands keep it form fitting. the internal texture a smooth and teasing latex that will stimulate her as she moves around in the suit. Keeping her very, very sensitive for those long tickle torture sessions.

I have quite a few scaleys in the harem i see. I should really get a group shot them being tickled together. no?
