Some of you might notice that already uploaded this pic some weeks ago. The reason is - we wore these costumes at Animagic and didn't have a proper shooting. This is the only half-decent pic I got up until now.
We need a shooting.

Seymour doesn't get enough love, he's by far the coolest FFX character to me, he's got style, he's got reason, he's got brain, he's a politician. You don't often come across characters like him.

I promise better pics, this is just for an impression.

I just don't have good pics of this costume. That drives me crazy from time to time because I really love it and because I really love Seymour.
The train is three meters long and it's not in the pic. I want a shooting. Want!

I've worn this for two conventions, but no good pics. You can't even see the face ornaments properly. And it's so uncomfortable, the mass of wig and huge tail and hat on my head gives me a headache like hell. Still love him. Damn, he's a POLITICIAN. How often do we get convincing characters in a game or show? He's a fucking amazing invention.

This is 800x600 cuz that's what I use. Any bigger resolution bugs my eyes out because the icons get so small. So yeah - deal with it! Haha.

Seymour Guado from Final Fantasy X. He is gorgeous and beautiful and I'm so totally in love with him. I can never find good wallpapers of him, so I made this one. It's not the best, but I love it.

It'd pass for pen if I didn't use a bigger brush size on his hair. xD

I didn't do anything fancy. I simply used the standard hard edge brush in photoshop at sizes 1, 2, 3 and 4. Nothing bigger. No blending. I wanted to show that you can make realism using nothing but crosshatching.

Plus I was trying to make him as realistic as possible, meaning i had to somehow make his physically impossible hair, physically possible. Lol

He's giving the "I'm going to rape you---and you're going to like it" look.

I guess I have finally decided to continue my FFX-project ! XD Oh well .... I'm replaying Final Fantasy X at the moment (this must be like the tenth time) and I must say that I find this character quite irresistable. (read: HE'S SO GODDAMN SEXY XD).
First I didn't like him at all, but now I think he's just awesome. I love his costume, his story, his voice (both english and japanese), his .... EVERYTHING. XD
I even like his evil plans of destroying whole Spira because in the end he's just trying to help the country from its pain .... in his twisted evil ways.. But yeah, he is awesome. The end.

I've had the lines for this done for SO long! Like, I did them back before I even had a tablet. (Around this time last year) I did trace over the original pencil lines though in OC to make it clean.

Seymour was okay. I wanted to like him more than I did because I thought he looked cool but, like Tidus, the voice ruined him for me. There were occassions where he sounded like I wanted him to or at least, how I imagined he should sound, but for the most part, his voice was so unsuited IMO.

So yeah. Seymour.

Custom mlp of Maester Seymour Guado from the Play Station 2 video game Final Fantasy X.

Seymour's pony base is a generation 1 Secret Surprise pony. With the help of my spouse , we took large pliers and a screw driver to dismount the "secret compartment" in the back of the pony, and the key hole structure on the front chest of the pony. I then sculpted over the key hole, and painted those funky black tattoos Seymour has on his chest. His full body repaint is a custom blend of acrylics I made. Eyes are also layered and textured to resemble Seymour's expression.

I made his hair line myself; several several extra hair plug holes had to be made. He's re-haired in authentic Hasbro pony doll hair in the colors of Pacific Ocean, Forget Me Not, Arctic Frost and authentic Hasbro Barbie hair in the color of Lagoon Blue.

The quirky shapes of his hair are supported by wire that I anchored into the scalp, then twisted hair around the wire and permanently fixated the hair to the wire with my hair gel method.

Outfit is entirely hand-sewn, his boots are authentic black leather, and gray leather detailed in light blue ribbon. His pants and robe are a dark blue cotton material, light blue material is also cotton, then the red portions are a faux red leather with a gold sheen. Green sash is a delicate ribbon material that I detailed in chartreux ribbon and acrylics. There's light brown net detailing, with peach mlp hair for the tassels. A thick silver wire is sewn into the collar/upper portion of the robe to give it support and shape.

Design on the train- is reason enough for me to never ever ever make another Seymour custom. I ended up drawing the design onto wax paper with a Sharpie, tracing it 4 times, sewing the wax paper to the train, gently pulling the wax paper out of the stitching, then I applied a thin gray ribbon over the visible stitches.

The necklace is made from antique beads the rest of the bead details are newer beads sewn onto the outfit.

Staff- wooden dowel for the handle, red head of the staff is crafted out of flash aluminum metal and painted with several coats of dark brown and metallic red acrylics. Tied two tassels of green/gold plastic beads with peach pony hair tassels onto the staff. Handle is painted in charcoal, metallic pewter, and silver acrylics.

This is a One of A Kind custom I'll never make again, and he will also be displayed in a store I sell my customs at, so ones he's gone, he's gone!

I decided to include some Yevonscript.. as it is a beautiful script. It says 'Seymour' down the side there.

My Round 1 application for the Dissidia Aces Tournament;

This took way too loooong! I'm still not very happy with the colouring, I could've spent years on it!! also Seymour's tattoos are sooo wrong; I made them up.

Other than that, I'm really proud of myself to sticking to it and working hard on the composition and linework! I really wanted to draw Genesis Avatar and Seymour Omnis (kinda like their ex-modes i guess) which made a lot of work for me and meant I had to leave Gen's wing out and change my original pose for Seymour.

Those who've played Crisis Core should see that in a moment Seymour's gonna get a face-full of Firaga Seymour's doing some melee fighting coz I wasn't gonna attempt magic or summons!

I actually finished designing and drawing this box about a week ago, but was waiting on my sister ~hisuikousei to print it out, make it and take this photo of it, since she was the one who requested it! (We're now living in different states, so it wasn't as though I could make the box and then easily give it to her. ;___; Not to mention that colour printing is expensive here, so I didn't want to print out and make one myself, especially since it's not like I'm the one who likes Seymour so much, anyway. )

Construction details

I'm assuming that you all know the basics of folding a rectangular box, so I'm not going to go through that part step-by-step... I'm hoping that the few instructions on the template should be enough for you all to understand! But if you really have problems, feel free to ask and I'll try to help. Information on the finer aspects of box-making is below.

About the paper:
- If you're planning on putting stuff into your box, and/or making stacks, you should print the template onto sturdy paper/light cardboard for the best results. However, the thicker the paper you use, the more difficult it will be to fold accurately- so make sure to take extra care when folding, or you might not be able to close the box properly! ^__^;

About printing:
- IMPORTANT! Make sure you set the paper orientation to 'Landscape' in the printer settings before you print! (Otherwise, bits will probably get cut off the template... @__@)
- The file may be enormous in Photoshop, but trust me- it's just the right size for printing! (It should print as a 5x5x3cm box.) Don't try shrinking it, or it'll probably print out blurry.

About cutting out:
- A small cutting knife could be useful for cutting out around the characters themselves. If you leave a small area of white around them, then you won't have to worry about accidentally cutting their heads off, or something...

I'm submitting something? Really? That doesn't happen often.. xD

This was a therapeutic drawing for me to do. The goal was for me to not spend very long on it, not use the eraser at all, and use coloured pencils (the colouring medium I'm worst at).
Well.. as for the erasing thing, I didn't quite make it; but I'm happy to say that I wasn't as much of an eraser whore this time, as I usually am.

Anyways, it was nice drawing something quickly, without worrying about it being perfect. Perhaps I can get over my artblock sometime, well, as soon as I'm done with my commissions.

Edit: Omg, I forgot his blue vein things on his face. DERP.

Definitely one of my favorite villains of all time. This picture doesn't do him justice. ;-; His hair is the only thing I dislike about his character. But, he wouldn't be Seymour without it!

I USED A REF OFF GOOGLE (This bothers some people if you don't mention it, for some reason). Just type in Seymour Guado, you'll see it. ^^ Too lazy to find a pic of his tattoos. I JUST NOTICED: I missed his face marking. D: Probably will fix that later.

I think this turned out pretty nice, seeing as it's my first digital painting. XD BASK IN THE HOTNESS.

I'm really happy with this, and it didn't even take me that long! This was actually my second attempt at a Seymour oekaki. The first one started out terrible, so then I switched to a lower level room, and this one turned out good! I couldn't get a background because I screwed up my layers. I hope you like it anyways!

Hey, I made Cloud and Sephiroth, might as well make a Seymour too, right? [Some random trivia: my first avatar here was of him.] anyways, this took me a while to complete because the perfectionist in me took over. I had trouble choosing a background [so I made 3], it looked too plain with only him in the pic, so I drew the staff as well. Been meaning to do this cosplay for probably 3-4 years now. I've had bits and pieces done and just haven't pulled it all together, so when I got asked to do him for a video game characters gathering for the Wreck-It-Ralph premiere(great movie by the way!), I threw the rest together as quick as I could. It still needs a lot of work, but overall pretty happy with how it turned out for photos!

Practicing perspective.. which i fail horribly at. =S I drew the bg four or five times before I got it to look decent, using other pictures of Matsuri festivals as reference... bleh... empty booths ftw lol. No fried octopus for you! lol.
