Also, yes, I have seen a few episodes of the new MLP Friendship is Magic show. It's not as bad as I thought it'd be.

This is old beyond old but I found it and it made me laugh. Sara was working on this adorable slashy story about Dark Raph / Dark Leo in like... 2007 and I was going to draw a doujinshi of it. This ended up being the only completed page.

This is my first "art" post in like a year. O_o And it's even older than that! How sad! I suck!

What's goin on: Darius told the clones that if they didn't bathe (he complains about them smelling a lot in the show) that they wouldn't get any food. So Dark Leo just pushed the stubborn Dark Raph into the bath. Dark Raph didn't appreciate it but he gets over it pretty quickly... O_O *runs away!*

In a sudden rush of curiousity, I watched the MLP pilot some weeks ago and I must admit that I wouldn't call the time I spent with it wasted. It was cute, kinda funny and reminded me of my childhood, so all was well and nothing hurt. Also, I love Applejack and I've seen some people doing human versions of the ponies, so I'mma jump on that bandwagon, too. Just for the fun of it.

Just a little doodle and not particularly different from the other versions of her but still. It was fun! Still in an art slump, sorta, but it will fade soon. I guess.

I am using this for my digital coloring demo for my advanced drawing class Tuesday. Professor wants me to show them how I do what I do because they've never seen digital painting before I guess.

Had alot of fun coloring it. Can't wait to do the Raph one. Darn finals....taking up all my time. blah.

So after several months Im finally finishing the series of commissions based on the MLP characters
There are 6 in total and I only did the first two, so here is the third, Applejack

They will all be kinda tragic and mature looking it seems

Next up is Fluttershy, but dont expect anything cute out of it, its actually the most sexual one (remember, its not up to me to decide)

sai is pretty much my favourite program for making line art and coloring it too, now. Photoshop is still useful for other stuff though, like adding filters, textures and whatnot.

Like Twilight, my first go at drawing Applejack didn't look as good as I'd like it to, so I wanted to try again using what I've learned since.

Applejack's such a strong character that it's rare to see a vulnerable side to her...

UPDATE 1:
It looks like "Why is she so sad?" is a common question. I would rather you fill in the blanks with your interpretation, my own being that this is a rare moment of insecurity for Applejack.

is fairly close to what I originally thought as I drew this:
Sometimes... a girl... just wants to be a girl. "Why don't any pony tell me I look pretty too..." Applejack thought, thinking back to all the attention her other friends seem to get. Even ol' Twilight seems popular and she don't even notice. "I can be pretty if'n I wanted, I just- I just have more 'portant things to do..."

's comment, "You look gorgeous, sweety!" might cheer up the AJ in the above interpretation (and I agree with the sentiment)

(Stef0Pal)'s comment below mentions that AJ looks like her mother, so every time she looks in the mirror... This suggests a deep sadness, and would fit the image well.

's comment actually gave me some anxiety as I read it, going through a list of worries that AJ has to deal with on a daily basis as well as some close calls.

So, like I said, I prefer it when you fill in the blanks as it gives any number of interesting interpretations..
