DONE!

Harry Potter fan art (for real, too, not just someone else all dressed up as a HP character) of your favorite Death Eater and mine. I was annoyed with Bellatrix being a simpering, love struck fool in the last book, she was so cold and wicked, it just felt WRONG (though, I DO think Helena Bonham Carter did her quite well, I won't hear anyone say otherwise). So here is *my* Bella, cold and pretty and eeeeeeevil!

Also, very green. Woo!

Ooo Harry Potter fan art! Must have been 5 years ago since I last made anything like that. I like to think I've improved since then . I'll see if I can find some stuff I made back then. It's rather cute

Aaanyway. Bellatrix. She's so incredibly evil. Even too evil for my liking (and that's saying a lot). She kills too many good characters (*sobs* Sirius...) and actually I can't stand her. However, Helena Bonham Carter is amazing and she looks absolutely awesome as Bella. And a good friend of mine (who I believe is very much in love with Bellatrix ) has been telling me for ages that I should draw her, so now I've finally given him what he wanted as well . Hope you like it, Thijs!

I've been working on this nearly all night long,most of the time spent on the..spell-flames coming from her wand,which i ended up doing with a toothpick and ink. And after all that effort i don't like the way it turned out.Too late to change it but still any suggestions/hints on how to make spells/flames (with watercolours/acrylics/ink) would be welcome.

This picture was inspired by the scene in The Order of the Phoenix when she.... you know...

And yes, her facial features are a bit exaggerated and deformed, but it's on purpose since I wanted her to look a bit insane .

My fourth attempt to color in Photoshop 7.0!

Fanart of Bellatrix Lestrange from the Harry Potter books. She is all shades of cool. ;D I do tend to gravitate toward the crazy baddies for some reason.

I finally finished it, after much slaving and worrying that it wasn't good enough. I admit it still needs more contrast from lights to shadows in the skin tones, but I am overall happy with the results!

It's pretty rare that I go back and monkey with old drawings of mine, but I was never real happy with her face. I always wanted to change it, make it slightly less boggly-eyed CRAZY. And of course I had to adjust the colors and add some new shading, etc. Anyway, that was my random experiment for the night. I think it looks better.

Ou well....I needed years for this -.-. And in the end I recognized that it doesn't look like Helena Bonham Carter at all *sigh*.

Helena Bonham Carter is one of my favorite actresses, and she is difficult to copy the feature of her face. Not to mention her character's hair and lips...jeez.

I went over her four times, and something wasn't quite right. So I carefully look at her head, and went, "Bingo!"

There's nothing I have much to say about this picture, but I will say this: this is my first time ever drawing Helena, especially her character: Bellatrix Lestrange.

This is already my fourth Harry Potter-themed drawing! This time one of my favorite villains, Bellatrix! Helena Bonham Carter played her very well!

I was rereading the Order of The Phoenix (for about the 6th or 7th time) whilst also flicking through the Twilight Illustrated Guide (We all have our guilty passions *embarrassed*) and the text and illustrations synced perfectly. This is how I imagined Bellatrix to look like, elegant yet wild. Beautiful but terrifying. So, I just pretty much did some cropping, and a few colour adjustments (trying to make it look photograph-like) and yeah. There you have it.

At last! A "Harry Potter" doll!! I was always fond of Bellatrix Lestrange in the 'Harry Potter' movies (yes, I haven't read ALL of the book, actually, I only read the first two) so in honor of her, here is a doll version!

My sister and I are a team, she makes all of the costumes and styles the doll. Please take a look at her gallary as well.

I printed out the reference picture for this drawing about 6 months ago and finally got around to it two days ago. I'm fairly pleased with it.

This mask is made from paperclay and modeled after the mask Bellatrix Lestrange wore in the HP movies. I created this as a present for a friend who is an even bigger fan than I am.

All in all it was pretty difficult to give away!

...since everyone keeps asking how long this took to make I decided to post the answer here.... The initial form took about an hour and then 2 days to dry. I then sanded for another hour or so and made some minor shape adjustments. After everything dried again, it took about 4 hours to paint and finish. All in all about 6 hours spread out over the course of 4 days.
