I did this about three months ago and decided to put it up since I'm in a Doctor Who-ey mood! I the Doctor!

Oh and just a fun little story to go with this. I sent this to my aunt who is a HUGE Doctor Who fan and she sent it to David Tennant himself who then sent back an autographed picture of himself! It now hangs on my wall framed and everything!
EDIT: Ok, my AUNT sent it David and gave the signed pic to me. I did nothing. I have no idea how all y'all can get your own personal pic from him so QUIT ASKING ME PLEASE!!!! you all are driving me crazy!!
EDIT NUMERO TWO: ok got. i understand that he probably COULD save this guys life cuz he's also a real doctor or something or other. geez all you uber obsessed doctor who fans are ruining my joke!

I'm not really a Doctor Who fan to be honest, but i thought if i was going to do a Who drawing, i would have to draw the above composition. So what the hell, i just drew it for the Eclectic Mick blog a few weeks ago ([link]) rather than forget a neat gag.

The drawing isn't all that impressive, it's the composition that makes it really. It was bothering me how completely bare the lower half of the image was, but to add detail there would defeat the whole point of the image, so i compromised by adding some greywash splatter to break it up a bit.

I like fan art as much as the rest of us but there's a lot of artists on dA that make amazing original art. Stunning. Great things. Step outside of faving just fandoms and look what else artists have to offer.

I decided that I wanted a really cool space theme *which there are plenty of on DA* but I wanted to give it a shot. Why not throw the Tardis in there while I'm at it. Everything was created using Photoshop CS2.

My first, sketchy-ish tribute to BBC's Doctor Who, in honor of the new season starting this weekend! I never paint actors, so this was a huge challenge--took quite a lot of staring at and sketching episode stills before I could get his face and outfit semi-right, and this isn't as polished as I would like it to be, but I don't have any more time to spend on it. The Eleventh Doctor, with Gallifrey and Earth in his hands, and lots of swirly starry stuff.

Finally finished!!!!
I've been working on that for so many hours... at least... 15h-20h >.< all day on it I was today

but anyway I'm kinda proud of it^^ It is the first time I've worked that much to color something, I couldn't believe myself...

As you can see, I'm a Doctor Who Addict X3

I drew this before christmas... but I only decided to color it Saturday >.< I'm lazy...

btw , if you ever see this, I want to tell you that I wouldn't have been able to do that without your tutorials (though the doctor's hair are too funky to have been able to follow all the steps mentioned^_^' ) I am so thankful to you for these!!!

^{I didn't think I'd really like Doctor Who when my girlfriend first convinced me to start watching it (more of a gritty-pseudo-realistic-sci-fi kinda guy) but it easily won me over right off the bat!

It's wacky, outrageous and fun juxtaposed by dark themes/plots, relationships and character depths. Watch it and you'll find it terribly difficult not to fall in love with the brilliant writing, dated special effects and of course, the often eccentric Doctor. ;]

I've been meaning to do a portrait of River for AGES (literally since Silence in the Library), and I felt this pose from Day of the Moon was sufficiently bad-ass to really express her character. Her awesome, awesome character.

Oh, and I would NOT like this to be a forum for how much you despise the lovely Miss Song. Comments about the art please.

About 3 hours of work, and lots of fun colouring in Photoshop after drawing it traditionally on white paper with a 4B pencil.
