Story Under The Sea ~ Gold fish

The story takes place when God created the fish. At that time, all the fish were still the same and God asked them what kind of fish they want to be.

The first is Shark, he asked God for sharp fangs and to move faster in the sea, so can get his prey easily. God granted his wish, but secretly put a big fin on his back, so we will know anytime he approaches.

The next is Whale, he asked for a big body that can make everyone scared of him. God granted his wish 'cause he knows the whale is a soft ans shy fish and needs that body to protect himself from annoyance.

next is gold fish, she want to be the most beautiful fish, she ask beautiful and bright color for her fin and tail that can make the others adored her.,

but, the God knows that she have arrogant heart, and she like to uderstimate the others..God granted her wish, giving her the most important thing for her, but He also take the most important thing from her, it's her freedom. so, althought she become the most beautiful fish, she don't have a chance to show it to the others, and it's why we can't find him in the sea or lake, we can only find her in the pond or aquarium..^^

I like fish, I have two of my own (in a pond in my family's garden).

I bought a new fish last week (old one didn't survive the winter unfortunately ) and I got the urge to draw a fish. So here it is. Based on a skecth that floated around in the depths of my desk.

EDIT I love this little picture and I know a lot of you like it as well, but I just had to change the colours.
I didn't really feel like they fit that well, with the drawing and the rest of my gallery.
For the ones who liked the old one better; it's still there, in my scraps ([link])

full title: dreaming in a gold fish bowl

this probably doesnt look like 4 days work but it is! im so unpracticed in photomanipulation so i guess i need to put alot more time and effort into it than the avarage manipulator!

i kind of wanted it to look like a photo though, if you know what i mean.. i wasnt going for a fantasy-esk photomanipulation, but to create a situation that i couldnt in real life through photo-editting.

i wanted to express feeling of detatchment, unresponsivness, just quietly dreaming to myself, unaware of what going on around me.

Gold fish are so pretty but so stupid that they make me laugh.
My friend ~AllicynLeiaAllen took some really awesome pictures of her friend's fish and I needed to draw one XD
This ended up looking nothing like the original but I loooove it.

Late last year I did my first painting. I was visiting my friend and stayed up most of the night painting. It really intrigued me and mesmerized me in a way I hadn't thought.
It made me want to paint more as it wasn't completely bad - considering it was my first time painting an actual figure/face.

In January I bought a lot more paint and did a new painting of a little gold fish. It's still not all completed but I decided to post it anyway, so you can see the beginning of my painting adventure
I am not sure if I will finish it anytime soon but I did enjoy learning while painting this. It's very very different from the way you draw and it took some time for me to make it work.
It's a little hard to tell on this photograph but the cold shimmers in real life and give a more round feeling.

I am painting with acrylic and I only invested in some cheap paint that had premixed colours to start out easy

This story about the girl (she is 10 actually, may be that's why we let us to put some make-up on her) who read the book about a gold fish and after that she wanted to get this fish in real. Thank you all for the comments and favorites, they are greatly appreciated. Although, I've been getting some repeated critiques and I want to take the time to clear things up.

First: I'm very aware that they are two left hands but (seeing as the nails are different) it's one person taking a slice out of a different persons hand.

Secondly, I just want to let everyone know that I am a VEGETARIAN (I dont eat any type of meat INCLUDING fish! I love animals!). This was an assignment for school, it is in NO way insinuating harm to a fish. NO morbidity is meant to be portrayed. I'm hoping that may make it less disturbing for the "Thats kinda disturbing cuz i Love animals But it's amazing at the same time" type of comments that I'm getting.

In an evening, I found two of my gold fish which I'd grown since they were eggs were dead and sank and one was almost dying. Feeling sorry to them, I brought the two bodies to our garden to dry it up so I could draw them later and isolated and gave medicine to the rest to cure its desease. It seemed the surviver came to life again but when I'm back home in next evening, it was dying unfortunately. So I went to the two bodies I had been dried but those were taken by cat even I put them on a pile of wood pieces - which is quite easy to collapse. Cursing the animal I hate so bad -they've eaten our carps and gold fish so many times when we were keeping them in outside, I started to draw the last body which died hours ago. The more I drew it the more it stinked so I felt I could vomit anytime I want when this drawing was close to its finish.

Today is day 2 of my self-imposed 30 day drawing challenge and today's theme is my favorite animal. Goldfish!
Specifically the adorable gold fish with the long fins and chubby bodies. They're so pretty <3

This drawing took me forever. I've never drawn a goldfish before. Not past notebook doodles anyhow- and half way through shading in all his scales and sparkles horror struck. My computer froze and I hadn't recently saved. Luckily I had saved my base colors or else I think I might have abandoned today's drawing! ^^''

Aww I miss my goldfish, I had one that we won from a fairground, it lived for 14 years, no joke. We now have fresh water tropical fish, they are colourful but very small and die at the drop of a hat, not at all hardy. Seriously if you've got goldfish and are thinking about tropical...don't, stick with your goldfish, they make much better pets

my bf got 10 gold fishes yesterday to put it his pond for testing of the water...they costed about 25 to 30 cent each ...out of the 10 fishes this one is the only friendly one in that pond ...so he or she is mine...plus he or she is the prettiest of the bunch...when ever i walk over to the pond the other fish would run but this one would stay put. he or she even lets me touch him/her as you can see in this picture...

i'm so proud of this shot. my friend and me were messing around with gold fish shots. she was angry with the fish and poured out some water and i happened to get a shot of it and liked the way it look. i shot this a few different ways and got really low so you could just see the sky behind her hand. i love the saturation and it think this is probably one of the most awesome shots ever and the best part is that there is no editing. if you have a better category to put this in let me know.

Just needed a break from the dwarfs.

I used only 4 colored pencils (Col-Erase) for it.
Red, Blue, Yellow and Black.
4 worked just fine.
