This is one out of a set of pages I've been working on that will serve as part of the story introduction once I get the web site up. The blank space in the first panel is a little weird, I know, but it's reserved for the last bit of narrative that will appear, segueing into the 'proper' comic.

I got tired of struggling with my own handwriting for the lettering, but I felt like using some other font was cheating somehow, so I created a font from my handwriting (a neat-i-fied version of my handwriting). That was tedious, let me tell you...but I think it works pretty well.

The boat is a sternwheel diesel tow (common on the Mississippi at the time as diesel was replacing steam driven riverboats). I figured it might be hard to make out what it is because only the bow is visible.

Rocky's a blast to draw. He's all eyebrows and teeth.

Well, finally getting around to introducing other characters.
I had fun drawing this one, but the lettering was a bitch. Trying to lay it out made me realize just how bad at it I am. The font size in previous strips has probably been much larger than necessary. It's a little smaller this time, but there's more dialogue here than usual and it quickly became smooshed. Well, anyway, sorry if it's difficult to read. That's on my list of things to improve upon (along with singing in key and marmot wrangling).

I had some requests here for a URL [link] that would always display the most recent comic - the lackadaisy web site now has the brains to do this.

EDIT: I'm so sorry for spamming your inbox with updates! Just wanted to make few things clear since I got some help to notice that there might be some confusion about the gender thing. So, I'm physically a female and always will be, even if my appear might be slightly more masculine. But otherwise, there's no a specific gender to match my identity, and that's why my fursona - which represents me not just physically but especially mentally - can be a male or a female. The choice is all up to you, like is which pronoun you use for me. (In my native language there's no multiple pronouns based on gender, so I've always find it quite difficult anyway.)

So, even if the clothes in the ref might appear rather "boyish" to someone, you can draw Jen in more feminine clothes, too, if you want to! Just nothing lewd, thank you lol.

Omg so much blue and yellow in my gallery recently...

I guess you saw that coming so... yea. XD So, Jenne is now meerdog - a kind of crazy mixture of meerkat and dog (hey, it's fantasy after all). In anthro form that feels like making so much more sense, but since s/he has a feral form, too, you can still think Jen as a some kind of canine.

This ref sheet's kinda chaotic, but... Well, I don't know actually. ;v; I couldn't find a fitting font so I decided to try handwriting - I hope you can read it lol.

I really don't have so much to say about this, but yea, I hope you like the new design! I will keep it like this as long as possible, because I can't really find anything to add/remove anymore. But maybe that's just a good thing!

My internet was out...for two days...and in that time I managed to find my Photoshop program.
Then I did this since I ran out of things to do. @@ I had no commission refs...no pet refs...no job instructions...and no internet.

ANYWAY this is Dhe and Sophia. I just made up Sophia's design since Aidan didn't make her quad form yet. |D

The traditional Chinese is supposed to say "Taste the Rainbow," but I'm positive I got it completely wrong. I expect some Chinese Grammar Nazi to come point out my mistakes so that I can correct it later!

Well here we have it again. Another ''Sonic" Drawing. You know thats pretty much the reasons that I am getting sick of drawing this kind of art now but I cant complain cause I actually have fun drawing them. It's just the after effect when you wana show something and they are like: "oh nice, I never knew Sonic was white." lol I didnt mind much but now I wana show shit that I can do and not hear the word Sonic lol But I can say that I will pretty much get the same kind of vibe in my art just not using that Spin structure and the one eye ball lol

So what's with the story with Zack and him being white...hey his hair changed to!!! (lol) Originally I wanted t give Zack that spike hair feel but with bangs in from of his head cause for reason I liked that in anime but It really wasnt what I wanted before with the simple Sonic spike cause I wanted a spike feel and everytime I tried making a new hair style it was a bitch cause he has a big head lol So fuck it I just went random till I found this which I was like ok I like it. So what's the story behind it? Well In his future, pretty much he is in the middle of a new war, new enemies, and a new dictator. Everything has been blown to bits from the previous war. So basicly he gets framed and becomes the next most wanted list and he needed a new look but still kept the same vibe feeling for it.

I chose white as a main color cause I wanted to create a contracts give that he is like an icy character. I thought I can do that with his eyes but I needed something bigger to contrast so I choose white with a hint of light blue if you can see it So mixing with the black goes well so it can give that light kind of character but dark at the same time so it created a balance in the personality I wanted to have. For gloves again I wanted contrast and I wanted more viewers to look at the details with lines and stuff. I think I should have have done the same with the shirt but just thought of it now so maybe later. If you think different, comment down bellow or give a critique comment.

As for the Font I choose '' Capture it '' It fits with the feel that its a shady future. The words '' Level Design 9" was actually another idea for a company name. I havnt decided yet what I want but blah.

In class we learned about being symmetric and how we as humans love to see things in order and lining up with things so I did but it only really give a big effect if you have lots of texts so ya. Hope you guys like it, enjoy and please leave a comment on your thoughts!

I lied.. I told her i wouldn't finish it tonight.. but i got a second wind.. and ended up finishing it. This is a late birthday present for my wifey Kami!! Who im very happy to see again! I have missed her tons!! haha.. Kamicheetah likes to tease poor Kayiko all the time. But Kayi likes the lil hairs on cat's tongues... so she loves it when Kami licks her. Hahaha.. that sounds so dirty. Kami loves to snuggle in Kayi's tail all the time. Im sure she has made a little village in the thing.. and declaired ownership of it by now. hahaha. Oh.. and i think i may of forgotten Kami's tatoo? As Oz just told me.. opps.

Picture details. I know they don't have nipples. I didnt' what it to get TO smutty.. and nipples on furries just freaks me out sometimes. The fur hides them!! Kami's boobs look plasticy cause of the shiney.. I know that.. but i liked the shine to much. Thank you Cel for pointing that out to me though. This was all drawn and colored in Painter 7. ;-; I am tworn between two brushes right now... and it hurts me sometimes because i never know what brush i want to use. Awesome font from Bara-chan!! It is now my new fav font evah!

This is a gift to my kitty
Well this comes to show that even though I am super busy at work, I manage to take each hour of break into something productive then listening to a bunch of druggies got wasted last night.

To start off, I really didn't think the picture was gona come up like that which is a good thing cause I'll never know what to expect which is something I want.

I finally got inspired again to draw Sonic after practicing a lot with humans and what not, I'm not gona post those cause I'm gona make another account for different viewers and different taste and what not.

Ok so for the color I finally got to play around with the hardness settings in the brush tools which gave this kind of effect which is a lot better than my old style of coloring on Photoshop. I was gona color in Corel Painter but there are so many bugs that really are annoying and decided to play with Photoshop instead. So to really give this kind of effect, you'll need to set your opacity to 75% and your fill to 20% The hardness is what you feel is right cause the harder it is the different kind of shading it becomes but this is as close as I can get without a tablet.

I didnt think much on the font, It's something called "Sued" it's nice and bold for those who are looking for more fonts.

Anyway I hope you guys like it, I know Roxy does x3

this illustration was for a experimental kind of book. we were given a (crappy) song to work with, and transmit its feeling through a book. yay.

i know, the wings are extremely lame, and the feathers.. oh my. i'm still learning. don't mind it.

the things writen in there are faith, hope, i think... i dunno. i used a font of hylian (yes, zelda) language.

Okay.

So, the main reason I've been having SO much trouble with this comic is the fact that I have trouble figuring out a way to tell it. If that makes any sense. To be honest, I have ABSOLUTELY NO idea what I'm doing, so I'm sorry for all the confusion.

The other night I stayed up until 4:30 to script, layout, and sketch around 10 pages of a prologue that I felt might give the reader some knowledge of the main character's (Timmy's) background.

Then last night I never went to sleep because I was working out different compositions for the pages. I decided on horizontal instead of vertical pages because one, I'm not really planning on printing, and two I like how the panels flow in this type of orientation. I also concluded that regular polygonal panels were kind of harsh in contrast to the natural setting of this comic. I like the irregular, rounded edges much better. and it's not too distracting. Painting a background in a reasonable amount of time was also a challenge due to my perfectionistic tendencies. I had to make it loose and more gestural, which for me is hard in digital media. The characters we the easiest. I already knew I wanted a simple cell-shading, so as to set them apart from their background. I think it looks good. The comic page itself I like to be green, but will change depending on time of day etc.

This is an actual panel from one of the pages that I chose to complete to see the overall look. Feedback is very much appreciated, especially if you are at least more experienced at making comics than I am. If you have a suggestions, possible changes, or any other ideas, feel free to post them here.

That's all I guess! I'm creating my own font for this comic, so that's why there's no text. He's only yawning anyway, lol

everything is (c) to me, except for the texture, which I got from cgtextures as per usual.

You can't see it form this angle but I wasted a ton of time posing the arm that is under the pillow, but only half as much time as conforming her body to the crumpled bedsheets of the bed model.
Then I fiddled with the Dreamlight Camer Pointer to work out the composition, Golden Triangle and Golden Spirals.
I hope you like it.

You can't sneak up on this cerulean beauty, she's a light sleeper.

FINALLY!!!

yeah Ive decided Im not going to colour every page! so sorry for all you people who liked the neon green sky before. I feel this looks a lot better and the process isn't tiresomely long with bad results so yeah!

Also changed the text! It looks alot better in my natural font as opposed to that awful robotic typed shit.

Changed a few of Franks words too so If you happen to re read it thta would be nice! Its much more in sync with his character.

UK - Birth of a Hero: Part 4

Lizy was in her bedroom now. Her new figure made her already small lodgings seem smaller; if that was even possible. She soon maneuvered herself near her dresser, knocking over several objects with her gratuitously-sized breasts as she did so. She let out an exasperated sigh.

Lizy would have to get used to that.

"Okay," she stated calmly, trying desperately not to panic. "Just try to relax and find something to wear." She then thought for a moment, and quickly added, "Preferably something that doesn't have buttons."

Very casually, she grabbed hold of the handle for the top drawer (where many of her shirts were kept), and pulled hard. Now, before the accident, Lizy had to put a bit of effort into opening the top drawer of her dresser; especially since it had a tendency to stick and back then, she wasn't exactly what one would refer to as "physically capable". This time however, she now had a considerable amount of power to back up her actions. So needless to say, the simple act of opening a drawer didn't really pan out for her.

Instead of pulling it open like she originally intended, she ripped off the handle in one swift motion.

With an expression of pure befuddlement, Lizy stared at the now crumpled brass handle that lay within her palm. But her expression soon changed from one of confusion, to that of anger.

"Oh you stupid piece of...!" she yelled as she slammed her fist onto the dresser.

But before she could end her statement with the proper explicative, her dresser collapsed into itself like a piece of soggy cardboard. Lizy became befuddled again, as well as painfully embarrassed. Without even trying, she completely demolished her dresser; which she knew for a fact was actually quite durable. As evidenced by it once falling down four flights worth of stairs and not even getting a scratch afterwards.

"Um...alright, mental note," she uttered with blazingly red cheeks. "Be careful not to break anything, you have super strength now."

Shortly after making her mental memorandum, Lizy began to pick through the shattered remains that were once her dresser. As she feared, all of the clothes that her dresser once contained were now far too small or far too shredded (due to broken and splintered wood) to wear. The only thing that was even remotely wearable was her glasses, but in a strange twist of fate, she didn't really need them anymore. For once she put them on, she realized that her spectacles now blurred her vision instead of corrected it. Her eyesight was now perfectly 20/20.

"Oh," she declared as an amendment to her previous note. "And apparently I don't need glasses anymore. That's...pretty neat."

Lizy's situation began to look up a bit. Granted, she was now a hulking leviathan with a rack that could potentially suffocate her in her sleep; but at least now she didn't have to worry about losing or breaking her glasses ever again. That was a plus.

She cautiously walked over to her closet, making absolutely certain not to knock anything else to the floor, and then gently slid it open with only her index finger. She didn't want to repeat what happened to her dresser just moments ago.

As she glanced through the various shirts, dresses, and pants that hung in her closet, Lizy started to become rather despondent.

"There isn't a single thing to wear in this place," stated a completely hopeless Lizy. However, her mood promptly changed upon noticing a rather large garment hanging near the back of her closet.

"Wait, what's that?" cried Lizy much more optimistically. She gently pulled it out to get a better look.

It was a very large t-shirt that had the letters "WMD" written on it in a very bold font.

Lizy quickly remembered what it was. It was a "Weapons of Mass Distraction" tee that she picked up last year as a joke. It only came in two sizes, XXXL and XXXXL. She thought it would be a cute thing to wear one time, namely because first of all, back then for someone of her frame it was more like a dress than an actual shirt. And second of all, having been originally the owner of a pair of B-cups, she knew they wouldn't really be capable of distracting anyone. Now though, her novelty t-shirt would prove to be more of a legitimate label rather than just a simple gag.

"I guess this'll have to do," sighed Lizy.

She quickly (yet carefully) removed her tattered pajama top; then put on the "WMD" shirt with about the same amount of discretion, if not more. And as she attempted to fully dress the article of novelty clothing upon herself, she noticed the bold lettering start to warp and stretch under the incredible strain of her mighty breasts. She tried not to worry too much though. The shirt was able to provide a fairly adequate amount of cover, even though it only covered a little more than half of her impressive bosom. After that, Lizy warily removed her pajama pants, for fear of possibly tearing them up further.

So for all extensive purposes, Lizy was now standing about her bedroom, wearing only an impractically shameless t-shirt and a pair of naughty looking panties; which by the way, were originally of a more modest disposition, but her now larger, rounder, and more ample posterior twisted and corrupted them into something more closely resembling a licentious thong.

And as she stood there, Lizy held up the ragged remnants of her pajamas and stated, "Wow, mom's gonna kill me when she finds out about this."

She then glanced herself over, reminding herself of her current condition as well as on just what exactly she was wearing now; to which she added, "And probably kill me for all of this too."

Lizy released yet another sigh.

"My pajamas are ripped to shreds, my room is a mess and if I'm not careful, I have the potential to destroy everything I ever touch."

"How could this possibly get any worse?" she declared gravely, unwittingly tempting fate in the process.

Just like clockwork, Lizy heard a noise from outside her apartment. Someone was knocking on her front door. She peered from the doorway of her room towards the portal, but before she could ask who it was, the stranger provided an answer.

"Lizy," declared a male voice. "It's Arthur. Are you home? I need to talk to you."

Lizy suddenly went pale.

Arthur was standing right outside her door. He couldn't see her like this! He'd be mortified! So she quickly responded to his query, hoping that the answer she thought up just moments ago would prevent him from wanting to come inside.

"Yeah, I'm here, but don't come in!"

"What?" replied Arthur from behind the door. "Why?"

"Uh...because I'm sick," was her counter. "Yeah, that's it! I'm sick! Don't come in or you might get sick too!"

She then did her best to fake a bad cough; the kind that involved a lot of phlegm, mucous, and other generally unpleasant things.

There was a brief pause.

"Lizy," finally retorted Arthur. "That was the fakest cough I've ever heard. I'm coming in."

"No! Don't!" replied Lizy as she dashed towards the door, hoping to close and relock it before he could enter.

She didn't make it.

Before she could reach it, Arthur unlocked the door (with a key given to him several months ago by Lizy herself) and quickly stepped inside. He was neatly dressed in a polo shirt and a pair of khaki pants, along with a nice watch strapped to his left wrist. He looked irritable, as well as emotionally hurt.

"Lizy!" Arthur boomed. "I don't have time for this! We really need to..."

He couldn't finish his thought. He was now gazing upon the "bigger, better, newly improved" Lizy Toplin; and he was shocked at what he saw to say the least.

As Arthur stood in front of her, Lizy quickly remembered that she wasn't technically wearing pants and thus tried to cover her shame with her hands. It worked fairly well, but in the process of doing that, her now powerfully built arms were unintentionally smooshing her breasts together. Creating an illusion that made them seem even bigger than they really were. This in turn led to Arthur's eyes growing wider and Lizy's cheeks turning redder. The two stood there for what seemed like hours, until Lizy tried to break the ice.

"Um...hey Artie! What's happening?" laughed Lizy nervously, knowing full well just how uncomfortable the situation really was but trying desperately to act casual. "What did you want to talk abo..."

"HOLY HELL, LIZY!" interrupted Arthur in an amazingly shrill voice. "WHAT DID YOU DO TO YOURSELF!?"

Lizy was swiftly taken aback by his query. So much for acting casual.

After spending nearly thirty minutes trying to calm Arthur down, Lizy was finally able to pacify him (relatively speaking) by giving him a fresh cup of tea. She'd have preferred giving him something a bit more potent, like a few shots of high-grade, horse tranquilizers; but for now, the tea would have to do.

She then spent the next two hours telling her friend everything. The paper tsunami that nearly crushed her, the sick feeling she experienced when she left work that night, the sudden discovery that she was bristling with muscle when she woke up. Everything. She provided dozens of answers, but none explaining as to why she was so huge. Arthur wanted to know that why, but unfortunately for him, Lizy just didn't seem to know.

The exact opposite was also true. Lizy wanted to know how and why she became so brawny, but Arthur just didn't seem to know either. And after going around in verbal circles for nearly another hour, they both plopped themselves onto the living room couch out of sheer exhaustion. Or rather, Arthur just plopped himself onto the couch. Lizy took her seat in a more cautious manner, since she involuntarily destroyed one piece of furniture today already; and she didn't want to add to that particular tally any further.

It didn't take long for them to continue their discussion. "Okay Lizy, one last time," sighed Arthur with an air of fatigue about him. "Are you absolutely sure there isn't anything else you're not telling me?"

"I think so," replied Lizy with the same level of weariness. "I just don't know."

She then looked down onto her hands and noticed the band-aids that still wrapped themselves neatly around her fingers. Lizy quickly remembered the tidbit they were both looking for.

"Wait, that's it! I remember now!" declared Lizy triumphantly.

"What? What is it?" replied Arthur as Lizy presented him her hands.

"While I was cleaning up the sub level," started Lizy. "I came across a vial with some strange, green stuff in it. But right after I discovered it, I dropped and broke the vial. I was able to clean it all up, but I cut my fingers a few times while dealing with all that broken glass."

Arthur began to rub his chin thoughtfully. "Hmmmmm. The contents of that vial must have somehow entered your blood stream and caused your transformation," he stated intelligibly, now having a much better understanding of the why.

"But what exactly was in that vial to cause such an alteration to your muscle mass?" he pondered aloud.

Lizy's jovial outlook soon became a lot gloomier.

"I don't know," answered Lizy in a downtrodden tone. "It didn't have a label on it or anything."

"Well," stated Arthur. "Maybe the Lab Archives will have something on it."

"Do you really think so?" queried Lizy with a weak smile.

"Yes, of course," replied Arthur enthusiastically. "All experiments that have ever been done by Briar Labs have at least SOME documentation on them in the Archives. All we have to do is use my pass key to get in and then just..."

But he quickly realized that wouldn't be the case. He then became rather despondent as a result.

"Wait...no, we can't do that either," declared Arthur, finally finishing his previous statement.

"W-why not?" asked a very concerned Lizy.

"That's actually what I wanted to talk to you about when I first got here," declared Arthur with a hint of dread. "You see, we were both fired this morning. Our pass keys have been deactivated, so we can't even get in through the front door. Heck, we're not even allowed on the premises anymore."

Arthur continued to speak. "I had to gather up my things and leave. And since you didn't come in to work this morning, I took the liberty to gather up your stuff too. It's in my car now if you want to get to it."

There was a very long pause as Lizy just sat there with an incredibly pale expression. It made Arthur very nervous.

"Um...Lizy?" asked Arthur, moving slightly closer to see if she was still breathing. "Are you okay? I said you're things are..."

"WHAT!?" cried Lizy with an ear-piercingly harsh scream that hurled Arthur off the couch and onto the floor. "B-BUT WHY!? WHAT DID WE DO!? WHY DID WE GET FIRED!?"

Lizy was obviously panicking now, overcome with such profound terror, she had no idea what to do but cry and holler. Arthur immediately got back up and tried to calm her down, but he was starting to panic himself as well. Namely because Lizy was now much bigger and stronger than he ever thought possible; meaning she now had the potential to be very dangerous when frightened; or especially angered.

"Um...w-well," stated Arthur, ready to bolt at a moment's notice. "Dr. Benson found out about the mess that you made in the sub level yesterday; what with all the papers still scattered about the underground labs and all. So he fired you, and then promptly fired me when I tried to stick up for you."

It was then that Lizy's fear and panic quickly turned into rage.

"Dr. Benson? That...that jerk!" she cried angrily, her voice cracking from sheer fury. "Who does he think he is!? Firing me like that, without even so much as telling it to my face! That coward!"

Veins were starting to pulsate on her forehead. She looked like she was about to go absolutely berserk.

"When I get my hands on him, I'll rip off his arms and shove them so far down his stupid face, he'll need a crane just to..."

Lizy then noticed something from the corner of her eye. It was Arthur. He was stealthily moving himself towards the front door. He was trying to make a break for it. An action that he thought to be very wise, since it appeared that Lizy was about to go on a murderous rampage at the drop of a hat. Upon seeing this, she immediately snapped herself out of her Benson-induced rage, for fear of possibly losing the one and only friend she had left.

"W-wait! Don't go!" pleaded Lizy as she reached out to him, but still maintaining a fairly respectable distance. "I...I know I'm a lot bigger now then I used to be. And...a-and maybe even a bit scarier looking now too..."

Lizy's tone of voice began to sound desperate; some might even say heart wrenching.

"But I'm still me! I...I could never actually hurt anyone, honest!"

She then gazed upon her friend with painfully forlorn eyes.

"You...you do believe me, don't you?"

Arthur just stood there. He didn't know what to do or what to say. He was far too afraid to actually do anything, the idea of being crushed to death by a monstrously enraged catgirl scared him witless; and Lizy knew that. She saw it in his eyes.

With her unsaid answer secured, Lizy shamefully turned away from Arthur and then promptly plopped herself back onto the couch. This time, without any kind of restraint and control on her part. The moment her derriere hit the couch, the eggshell white sofa collapsed under the sheer force of the impact. The furniture kill toll was now up to two.

At first, Lizy didn't seem to react at all, other than blush profusely. But as the moments passed, her expression slowly transitioned from mild embarrassment to that of a soul-crippling melancholy.

"Oh...oh god," blubbered Lizy weakly as she looked upon herself. "I'm a monster! An inept, musclebound freak!"

She then buried her face into her hands and wept. Wept like everything she'd ever known and loved was completely and utterly gone; taken away from her without either a hint of mercy or a shred of compassion. Like she was doomed to be alone for the rest of her miserable life.

Arthur continued to just stand there and watch. He still didn't know what to do. But as he watched her softly whimper into her muffled hands, he realized something.

Lizy didn't change. Not really anyway.

Externally yes, she had changed quite a bit. She was a lot stronger and obviously a lot bigger as compared to before. However, internally, she was still very much the same girl that he grew up with since high school. The same girl that loved comic books and loved to daydream. The same girl that was an invaluable friend and always there for him. The same girl that only cried when she was alone and had no one else to turn to.

Arthur realized that she wasn't a monster, for a monster could never shed tears like that.

No, Lizy was a person. A person like everyone else. A person that was scared and alone. A person that needed a shoulder to cry on and someone to help carry her burden. Someone to stick with her through all the good times and all the bad times. Someone to show that they cared for her and maybe yes, even loved her. And Arthur intended to be that someone; both now and forever.

With a soft smile, he slowly walked around the shattered couch and took a seat right next to the despairing feline. He then placed his hand onto her powerful shoulder and tried to massage it (the keyword here is "try", since to him, it felt like trying to massage a hunk of iron).

"Hey, that's not true. You're not a freak," said Arthur calmly, all in the hopes of trying to stop her tears.

Lizy perked her ears and steadily peeled her hands away from her face. She stared miserably into Arthur's eyes as tears still streamed unabatedly down her cheeks. He now had her attention.

"I...I admit you're a bit taller now, as well as a bit more on the buff side," he continued sincerely. "But that doesn't make you any less of a person. And it certainly doesn't make you a monster."

"R-really?" she sniffled noisily, giving a teary-eyed expression that would make even the most emotionally hardened man cry. "Do you mean that?"

"Of course I do," stated Arthur succinctly. "And...and I want you to know that I will do everything I can to help you and make you feel better."

"Do you want to know why?" asked Arthur tenderly.

Lizy nodded "yes" as a weak smile formed across her visage.

"It's because you're my friend, Lizy," replied Arthur. "And that's what friends do. Right?"

"Right!" declared Lizy, now weeping tears of inexplicable joy.

She then lunged out and hugged Arthur tightly.

"Oh, Artie!" she cried mirthfully. "You're the best friend ever!"

Lizy continued to embrace him firmly, but not so powerfully as to possibly injure him. She was learning to hold back and control her immense strength, both consciously as well as instinctively. But as she squeezed Arthur in a most affectionate cuddle, she felt his hand smacking hurriedly against her shoulder.

"Mmmph!" he muffled.

She heard the nearly inaudible sound he produced and decided to investigate the matter.

"What?" she queried innocently as she lessened her hold to better see his face.

"Air!" cried Arthur frantically, looking a rather deep shade of blue.

"Ack! Sorry!" declared Lizy as she immediately released her friend, her face now painted a dark shade of crimson.

Arthur lay crumpled up on the floor, gasping for some much need oxygen. He was nearly smothered to death by Lizy's "WMD" emblazoned bosom; a demise that some people would have actually considered to be an honor, if not a blessing. She intuitively helped him back up.

"Sorry Artie," laughed Lizy timidly, hoping she didn't cause any kind of permanent brain damage due to her accidental suffocation attempt. "I guess I'm still getting used to being so...well...full-figured. Ehehehe."

I'm fascinated by the aspect of people seeking individuality for themselves by conforming their fantasies to selected communities. Thanks to the internet, video-games, and the aspect of Dungeons and Dragons (and all it has grown into) -- the days of living alone in your head seem to be fading out...

Maybe we're desperate to drag others into our imaginations. Maybe the worlds that others have created are far better than some could imagine. Or maybe some are just seeking a place to master their destinies after finding themselves in a reality where they cannot do the same. I don't know, and I don't judge -- it's just interesting.

Full disclosure again -- I don't speak Russian. I had help with the translation, and then had to hand render the text using the font 'EastBlock'. Hopefully, it's still correct, but if it is not -- please let me know what is out of place.

few changes on him, his shiba spots are round and in front of the eyebrows, and the urajiro(his white chest, cheeks and such) is more white than butter colored.

i know the coloring sucks, it was fast- for me anyways- hope you enjoy. :3

I decided I'd try and use speech bubbles. As much as I hate them, they're a lot easier to read and decipher who's talking and whatnot, instead of just font color. But I'll ask you all, what do -you- like better? Plain font or speech bubbles?
I decided I'd try to draw as many new poses for my characters to be in, instead of just copy-pasting most of them and then editing them a little for each panel. It will allow me to be more creative with poses and such.
I'm not sure if I'm going to keep that 'The happy random journeys of Shaddie' panel in here. It is nice and all and lets people know what they're reading, but without it I'm allowed more room for the comic, so that's a plus.

I'm serious about the input thing, tell me what you think. Critics and flames always welcome, of course 8)

Back in the day, there was a magazine called Tokyopop...and they had a sister magazine called Smile...and smile used to run a manga by a group called CLAMP called Clover. This was inspired by that manga...sad to say cause it's a really awesome manga and this is a really weird, sucky pic. But I like all the colors... o.o ....

PS: That lettering on the side is my sad attemp to make sort of a "japan font". If you look at it top to bottom, it spells Tankit

Saw 'Pirates of the Caribbean', had to draw a pirate. lol. Was going to do a guy at first, but then was inclined to do a girl instead. Would have done her human, then was more inclined to make her anthro. lol. Used simlar style of her clothes and hair from Jack Sparo's outfit from the movie (Johnny Depp) Cuz I lurve him. *koff* anyways... then I got the idea for the pose from a picture done by Micheal Turner. It's not the same exact pose mind you, but it's inspired, so I thought I'd give credit. I like how this one turned out as well.

The skull in the back was done w/ a font as well. I'm too lazy to draw them myself, this worked out just fine me thinks. ^^

But yeah, I really like this char. She dun have a name. She's not really an actual char really, just a drawring.

Edit: redid her pose slightly so her legs are pulled higher up so it looks like she's jumping more. I like it better now. Thanx to all for the suggestion. ^^

Steel - Deluxe Badge

My part of a badge trade with the incredibly talented who drew me a deluxe badge of Bloodi several months ago.

I was asked to take their character Steel and sort of "Bloodhound-fie" them, which made my heart jump in joy.

Together for so long...
Together for about six years...

That's right! This September my graphic novel-to-be (hopefully one day XD) "Shadows of Ælmir" is going to have its 6th year anniversary!

I still remember that day when I created it, I felt so much joy, even though at the time they were only Sonic fancharacters and I never knew or expected that it was going to turn into something as big as being the project of my life (though I have a few more stories but I'll be focused on this one until I finish it).

Now I'd like to add a few comments about this piece;

Behind the drawing...
The sketch was done last year in June. It was originally going to be a grand poster that would include the major characters of the story. It was going to be made for their 5th year anniversary. However, I'm quite a perfectionist so I kept going back and editing things, redrawing the sketches etc. until I became totally frustrated and I gave up. These three were the only ones I had actually completed (lineart & base colours) so I decided to colour them and make a drawing out of them for their 6th anniversary instead.

Technique wise...
I was hoping to make the colouring/shading slightly darker but it seems that I still need to work on that. Of course there is nothing wrong with having some bright and soft shading but I need to work more with the new technique of shading I found a few months ago ( from the drawing Lady Night). It basically uses Sai's best feature; colour blending but that causes my shading to be very soft and bright.

There are several errors in the anatomy, it was drawn last year after all, but I have to admit they came out pretty good because I'm still quite satisfied with their poses. The thing that bugs me very much is the fact that their eyes are huge (overtime their eyes became smaller but I suppose last year I was drawing huge eyes like that) I promised to myself, however, that I will not try and redraw anything otherwise I'll get caught up in the same story as before so I went ahead and tried to ignore anything that bugged me XD

In the background you can see something written in ancient Almiria. I won't tell you what it says just to tease you mwahahaha...

About the characters...

They are my beloved three girls that I created 6 years ago <3 I don't really separate my characters into protagonists and such but you could say..that they are the protagonists of the story but you probably know that already XD So here they are:

Meglina Feian, nicknamed as Megi. She's a Katgomits, a race I modified for her specifically so she can be part of ~Beti-Kot's Katgo family as Megi is originaly an inhabitant of ~Beti-Kot's planet Negîr (where her story takes place). For several reasons, she went to Ælmir where she got involved into things. She's also Lea's best friend. Megi is of the lowest rank of her family-tree/clan and was always looked down upon by the members of the main family-tree.
She was given a magic flow to be able to use the magic that is found on Ælmir but uses the staff to be able to actually cast/utilize her magic because she naturally finds it hard to do so on her own. The belt works as a charm to enhance her power. Her name means "crystal clear" and she uses emotional soulsphere magic.

Avæmelina Sorenai, nicknamed as Æmelin. She is an Asiaralus from the family tree of Yasurreus. Her parents were star watchers and studied the constellations (which is a common practice among Yasurreus and its evolved races) and because they discovered a few things that they shouldn't they were hunted and gone missing. Æmelin was left alone then (it is unknown whether she is an orphan or not yet) but Eran took her under his wing. She has a dragon-like pet (found in my scraps) called Airo (which means guardian) on which she relies a lot in battles while she can stay back and cast her magic (that takes time to cast). Her charm is also one used to enhance her magic power. Her name means "tranquil river" and uses poetic song magic.

Mishhelin Lupinæ, nicknamed as Mishhel. She's a Dewailus from the family tree of Orealeus that are known to be great alchemists. She's an orphan but is living with her two cousins until the time she meets Megi and gets involved, along with her and Æmelin, in something big. Mishhel comes from Zea, which is the only part of Ælmir that has evolved and developed technology. Part of her race migrated there to avoid the issues and problems found in the other two parts of Ælmir (where most of the story takes place).
She's careless and gets into trouble quite easily (or often creates them xD) which makes her an unreliable healer, as she uses healing aura magic but she's the only one who can heal (except for Eran's sister but she tends to stay at the mansion). Her name means "joy".

And yay to whoever actually read all this! XD

Fiz esse desenho faz um tempo... Muito tempo, mais ou menos 1 mês e meio e.e

Pelo menos já tenho a cor da asa que eu "queria"...
Era pra ser branca com alguns detalhes dourados e rosa;
Mas eu fiz um borrão e tive que tomar algumas medidas drásticas è.é...

Review Metroid 2: Return of Samus

Con l'aiuto di ho deciso di fare una piccola serie di mie recensione su giochi che gioco e ho giocato ultimamente, ogni illustrazione sarà a tema comico, spero che vi piaccia questa idea. Le Recensioni sono fatte per dire cosa penso del gioco personalmente, non sono verità assolute, sono solo pareri personali.

RECENSIONE METROID 2:RETURN OF SAMUS- GAMEBOY-

Piattaforma d'origine: Gameboy
Versione provata: Virtual Console 3DS

Tanto tempo fa in una galassia lontana che non era di George Lucas, ci fu un gioco uscito per Nes chiamato Metroid, ideato da Gunpei Yokoi, Metroid creò un genere d'avventura e esplorazione che fu fonte d'ispirazione a molti capitoli della serie di Castlevania che i fan chiamano scherzosamente "Metroidvania" appunto, il gioco fu un buon successo tanto che uscì un seguito che pochi conoscono e ricorderanno uscito sul Gameboy, ovvero Metroid 2: Return of Samus.
Metroid 2 prende gli elementi del primo e mostra una veste grafica superiore rispetto all'originale con sprite di Samus e personaggi più grandi e dettagliati, lo scopo del gioco è di esplorare un pianeta e cercare e far fuori 39 Metroid sparsi nel gigantesco pianeta, i Metroid saranno diversi rispetto al primo e saranno evoluti, saranno bestie molto più pericolose e con unico punto debole:i missili.
Cercare i Metroid nel gioco è un vero e proprio labirinto e purtroppo i colori in bianco e nero rendono tutto più confusionari, infatti questo è uno dei giochi che bisogno avere una mappa disegnata a mano o trovarla su internet per potersi orientare nelle stanze quasi del tutto identiche, e questo mina alla grande la voglia di finire di questo gioco, perché a forza di girare senza nessun punto di riferimento, ci si sente come topi persi in un gigantesco labirinto.
Le cose buone del gioco è che nonostante sia su un gameboy, è veramente grande con tanti power up per Samus come missili, serbatoi d'energia, spider ball-possibilità di arrampicarsi in forma di sfera-, raggio ghiaccio, raggio plasma ed ecc.
Metroid 2 è un gioco buono per i fan della serie e da una bella sfida per essere completato con tanto di ricompensa. Se si finisce in tempo il gioco potremo vedere la nostra eroina senza tuta, ma per gli altri potrebbe sembrare un titolo troppo difficile e a tratti pure noioso senza una mappa o qualcosa su cui far riferimento, il gioco è disponibile anche su eshop Nintendo del 3DS a pochi euro, vedete voi se volete accettare la sfida o no.

Protest The Festival Dog of Seattle HempFest

this is my take on a character for our local Seattle HempFest
it was the first 'festival' that came to mind when i was reading up on them because it was the same time as Everfree NW last year and the streets were packed with so many people, and we could see them all from the ferry too it was crazy!

He is named Protest because thats what HempFest is

trying to educate people more than get everyone baked...
BUT THEY GET BAKED ANYWAYS

but yeah its a huge event here in washington state every August.
and theres a lot of color around Pot, Pipes, and the Like so it was really a fun challenge and i hope everyone likes it too ;v;

also the name font was on some free site if i need to i can try and find it again later

While i am not a fan of pot myself i find the culture and everything surrounding it fascinating.

Her take of Wing animation-style totally made me decide it was time to take this 'Princess Charming' doodle from my class note several months back and make it digital.

I really, really wanted Wing in a pink dress, but blue ended up expressing the idea better. IT WILL BE PINK NEXT TIME. NOT BLUE. NOT GREEN. PINK.

Temiree - New Styles

So, I've been exploring different avenues with my art lately. I've been feeling very limited on what I could do, creativity wise and style wise, and have been feeling frustrated because of it. x) I want to be a more flexible artist, and have more than one look to my work.

So here I present a few things.

Temiree
First, a small redesign of my character Temiree, now included with more appropriate muzzle for the species and a more realistic belt. Nothing drastic. I chose Temiree for this piece mostly for the sake of familiarity, so I didn't have to test this new coloring on a brand new character.

Action Poses
I need more action poses in my work, so here's one. x)

Coloring
I've been bored of doing realism and wanted to try to find myself another style I could call my own. One that doesn't look too digital, and isn't too time consuming either. Here is something I found that seems to look pretty snazzy.

It sort of looks like a promotional poster or something doesn't it? Anyhow, up next I'll be trying to expand on my character design ability, and learn new clothing choices for said characters.
