The last version of this character I think anyone who is not me or my college illustration professor has seen is this one, from 2004(!).

Man it's weird as hell coming to the realization that this character is going to be 20 years old next year. Most sensible people would have moved past stuff they came up with when they were 7 years old, but not me. Or David Willis. I really want to put together an "art evolution" infographic for Vector because hoo boy will it be a doozy. Probably in the next couple days.

Also, Jesus, have I really not posted anything new in six months? I've drawn plenty, I guess there just hasn't been anything polished enough to show here. I guess that redone Soundwave counts...

I am putting this in the "Anthro" category against my better judgment. I hope I don't come to regret this. ]]> Velociraptor.

When I was a boy we used to go to
the movies, to those old theaters, where you bought and booked your seat
with anticipation. Now, not a single one is there. Instead we have buildings and
shopping malls over them. But one thing always intriguided me about those cozy places: the advertising for the movie was done in a hughe format, painted by hand by
some artist; I allways felt admiration for those artists.

So, I started to paint. Then I started working in 3D animation for infographics, was
then when I started to paint in Photoshop as a way to relax from the
tension of working in animation, and during renders, I did it so much, that I ended up feeling more comfortable painting with a mouse than
with a pencil. ]]> where all what matters is money.
