Um I'm not a professional sculpturer kay.. or photographer either.. I've just realised how bad my photos are -___- I'm sorry! And this was so hard to make .. kyaa I don't even -- his head took me half a night ahaha! I'm not very good at making fire either >__<

It's made from sculpey, and for some reason the cheap super glue I bought was rubbish super glue but amazing shiny glazey stuff to put on it o_0 ~whatever works

So.. magmar! burning grass. As you do.

For the Petit Picnic Contest over on #semi-sweeties!

There's this open field near my place where we often see families flying kites, and for many many -many- weekends, bf has mentioned that he would like to go kite-flying too! Alas, with my poor constitution and the unco-operative weather, we never got round to having that picnic

SO I MADE IT COME TRUE IN 1:12. XD I haven't yet tested to see if the 1:12 kite would work, it did fly off the table while I was taking pics, so maybe, maybe....

the sandwiches were because bf and I eat alot at Subway/Quiznos. I wanted to give it a 'home-made' twist, thus the 'leftover' bread, ham and tomato. bf doesn't like tomatoes, when I mentioned it's not 'realistic' cos his sandwich had too much veggies, he said "it is, cos you always make me eat veges!" XD XD XD. I made a 9-inch sub for him, and a 6-inch one for me, just like when we eat at Quiznos

I wanted to make an 'unpacking' sequence, how we set up and assembled the sandwiches, but that's tooooo many pics. So I simplified it to a packed/unpacked scene. My only disappointment is that I did not have enough time to make drinks, desserts etc! I've seen the other contest entries and they BLEW ME AWAY OMG. My apologies to those who expected more from me T-T

Materials:
Faux grass from art supplies store, tupperware containers by Re-ment. Picnic mat was cut out of a plastic bag that I got when I bought this year's CNY clothes XD XD XD I was so happy I kept it aside so carefully I nearly 'lost' it!!! *cackles*

Sandwiches, ham, tomatoes & fruit made by me out of polymer clay. Kite, picnic basket, plates made out of paper, pins, string, glue etc.....

(The fruit were not 'old' or recycled fruit from my previous items, the apple and grapes I had to 're-make' one each specially for this contest....in case anyone were wondering. I can even take pics to prove the difference if necessary XD yes, I am -that- paranoid!)

They saw these weird looking creatures sitting in the grass! They never seen anything like them, but what they could see that they were in a bad shape! Their heart broke when they saw how ill these creatures were and wondered who would do such a thing! They decided to take them ALL back to the company! There we took care of them and they recovered! But with pain in our hearts we have to say that we can't keep them, there are just to many of them.. so we're looking for some kind persons who want to adopt a pluplush!"

sorry to Artistic-Gaming for submitting this so close to midnight (hopefully i just made the deadline) but i've been short of time to work on it

ok, so this a polymer clay and acrylic paint sculpture of Amaterasu from Okami and her pup Chibiterasu from Okamiden exchanging Valentines Day presents!

Chibiterasu is holding a heart valentine that says "#1 Mom" because i'm cheesy like that in the front is a scroll that reads "Happy <3 Day" because Happy Valentines Day wouldn't fit...behind that is an opened present with a few holy bones in it, which are described in Okami to be "Amaterasu's favorite snack" so i figured they'd make good presents

scattered around are various stylized (spelling?) flowers on top of grass. i don't know if it's very visible, but the grass was made by painstakingly poking literally THOUSANDS of teeny holes in a slab of green clay. honestly went crazy sitting there for a few hours just repeatedly poking a piece of clay...

it's not visible here, the link to the collage shows it better, but i made ammy's divine instrument heart shaped too, and it "floats" about half a centimeter or so off her back. the bamboo base was recycled from the lid of an old junk box i found

Hi Everyone!! =]

I stayed up late finishing this piece last night for my friend's birthday today haha. I would have to say this is by far the biggest piece I've made (excluding miniature rooms). The whole piece measures about 4 inches tall and 4 inches wide. I also love how the "grass" turned out. It is actually texturized, even though you can't really tell in the picture. =]

HOWDY /shot

I've finally decided to get off my lazy ass and SUBMIT THIIiiIIS gaargh.
Deciding which photo to put exactly on dA wasn't easy since I took like ~50 of them;

So this was made for ! *u* exactly on the 20th of June it was part of my huge package I sent her a little before her birthday and she got it 2 days after it! *u* The package also contained this picture --> [link] , and this plush --> [link]
and this sculpture took about 15 hours to make if I'm not mistaken and I didn't take any breaks at all while making it xD I sat down in the evening and went all the way up till early morning with Radio music blasting my ears off it was quite amazing making it! >w<

The minus of this sculpture however is that it's extremely fragile *^* the clay I used was a normal children's colorful clay which can never be solid-ified using ovens or what not, in fact while this sculpture was getting to Shirmp's place, the horn got deformed *A*;;; Where i live we don't have any clay that can be burnt to become hard, not to mention our oven is kind of half broken anyway xD so it does not burn as good as any non-broken one, so woohoo; ~
It's shiny like that though because I covered it all with some normal nail lacquer after it was done ;;; It's a little dirty tho all by itself.. since the clay I used is like years old *^* because this clay no longer sells in Latvia;;;
so pretty much I used any materials that first got to my hands to make this gosh

I kind of regret making the markings from paper though, but well it was too late to change that once I already covered it with lacquer xD; which was when I realized it was a bad idea ~

Also since Shrimp loves cliffs, Skye is sitting on a Cliff ~
Kingdom Hearts? Paopu fruit on the back, and Thalassa Shell on the front ~
D'Island project? The rock with some curvy grass on the side ~

and Skye has a stick going through him and the cliff on the inside for extra stability ~ _/shot

Also the wings have plastic-like paper in them, making them more stable as well. I originally hoped they could be flexible that way, but sadly even though they ARE indeed flexible, if you bend them, the clay and lacquer crack ;n; so I already told Shrimp she better not do that xD; coz I won't be around there to fix it up with my spare clay and lacquer, which I had to use via fixing 3 times while it was still at my place already ~

What else... well I think that's all I wanted to say Enjoy!!!!! and ye Bet Shrimpos loved this *u*

PKMN: Snivy or Tsutarja

What? This is Snivy, the grass starter for the fifth generation of Pokemon, set in Unova for the games Pokemon Black and White.

Comments:
The name Snivy is growing on me. I know I would have loved Smugleaf, but guess Snivy will have to do.

The design.. I love the head, but the legs, what's with the legs?!?! How is Snivy supposed to be able to support itself? I didn't know how to make it stand so I just made him sit, haha.
Also, Pokemon with eyes on the sides of their heads make my brain melt.. xD This Snivy looks so weird from the back..

He is 4.5cm large, made with polymer clay and painted with acrylics.. also glazed.

Theses are some pretty old miniatures i made about 2 or 3 yrs ago with polymer clay. I use to sculpt abit but have lost most of my miniatures. Theses guys though are still in pretty good shape XD.

Another realistic Pokemon... this time is Sunkern, presumably the 'weakest Pokemon' at least by stats.

Of course is based on a sunflower seed. I tried to make him as most realistic as I could but it was hard.

FMA Fragrances and Bottles

These are tiny perfume bottles that I have sculpted to represent 5 FMA characters. Left-to-right: Mustang, Hawkeye, Al, Ed, and Hughes.

I have hand-crafted 6 different fragrances, 5 for these characters and 1 for generic "Alchemy." I sat and thought about what each character would smell like, then made their individual perfumes based on their character traits. I had entirely too much fun with this.

---"Mustang" smells like FIRE and MAN. Seriously, it smells like a well-groomed man sitting beside a campfire. Very smoky, masculine, and powerful. My brother is demanding a bottle of this one

---"Hawkeye" is sweet and spicy. She's a combination of soothing, elegant chai and dangerous dragon's blood.

---"Ed" and "Al" are both very plant/wilderness-oriented due to their time spent on the road. Al's scent is lighter, he smells like rain, grass, and a hint of leather. Ed's scent is more bold: he smells of trees, earth, and spicy hot-headedness.

---"Hughes" is a very clean scent. It is masculine, but gentle and kind of soothing. It smells like musk, rain, and... graveyard dirt .

---"Alchemy" is a combination of the 4 elements: smoky fire, earth, sharp ocean, and breezy peppermint. It smells like something I'd want to spray on my pillow before going to sleep. Very relaxing.

...And yes, I am selling these. Want one? I'm thinking $5 per (UNsculpted, meaning just a plain amber container without the clay or paint.) vial. These sculpted ones will go for about $20-$25 each. If you cosplay any of these characters, I totally think you should humor my dorkiness and note me with an order These WILL be available online after AX.

Yeah, I know, it's dumb BUT! They actually came out smelling pretty damn awesome. A couple of them are a little weak, but still very nice. I plan on making more in the future and I may take commissions for custom scents.

Anyway, just thought I'd share . Let's see how the people at AX like them...

A suggestion from ! She suggested that I make a Mightyena.
I'm not entirely happy with how it turned out, but I still like him. He's not similiar enough to the Poochyena([link]) I made to be photographed with it, XD. I think I'll make another one in the future to go with the Poochyena, because he was might fun to make.

I'm proud to say I used a different technique for his eyes. I found a gel pen that 'writes' on the clay. so instead of struggling with the paint I can just draw eyes on. It did come off so i had to put glaze over it. I think I'll do some testing to see if it'll dry..
and I also gave him toes.

He is 7.5cm tall and 9.5cm long. He is made out of polymer clay and painted with acrylics. He only took a few hours to make. Which I'm quite happy with, took me only half an hour or so to paint, but maybe that was because I wasn't watching TV...

This took so much work it wasn't even funny.. My first attempt at making a humanoid character! Made this for a friend for Christmas.. And I'm super happy with how it came out!

I kind of got carried away with the grass... and ended up regretting it because of how fragile they were. Lesson learned, figure out how to make that sturdier! Oh well.

I decided after making the three Kikwis on their own, to make a little diorama of two of them in Faron Woods :3

I'm loving Skyward Sword right now, and I wish they had official figures for real D:
In the meantime, I suppose I'm going to have to make do with ones I've made instead.

This sculpt took about 3 hours from start to finish, the most complex parts were the grass and path, Machi and Lopsa's arms and little faces

I love harry potter. This is one of my favorite items to make for fans. They are tiny little mandrake roots. Each one is different and comes with it's own pot and potting soil. The soil comes with grass so you can water him daily and the grass will grow around your root. When ever the frass is tall enough feel free to pull him out and replant him. It's lots of fun. Adopt one today!

Snivy Sculpture

More miniature items that are used as props for ball-jointed dolls ^^

Made with LaDoll Premier air dry clay, same material as the masks I had posted before. The bunnies are a little big for 1/6 scale but it's okay, they can be buns or something I guess
I sanded & painted them. Finally, I made the boxes for them and painted those too. I covered the outsides of the boxes with this thin green paper I had lying around, it had a really interesting pattern that I thought resembled grass--bunnies playing in the grass, etc..because I chose pastel, spring-time colours.
(usagi means rabbit in Japanese, and that is what it says on the sides of the boxes, sorry for my horrible writing lol)...

Also I apologize if the photos look washed out, they came out not to my liking so I added some gradients to it.

Each box measures approx. 3.5cm x 3.5cm

Polymer clay miniature of Bilbo's hobbit hole-Bag End!!! This thing took a REALLY long time to make!!! I used a pin to make the grass!! I really love the fact that the windows are glass so you can put a candle underneath and it lights the whole thing up!! There is also a window around the back, but you can't see it from this angle.

This is another CUTE ADORABLE EPIC creation by my sis.

This is Machi, a kikwi from skyward sword. Kweeee! Very cute, kee-kooh!

Personally, I prefer Erla (the adorable one who crawls in grass) but I'm not the one who makes these so I don't get a say. Kikwis are the most adorable of all zelda creations. Peace. I mean, just look at it. Just look at those eyes. Just look at that bulb. And if you heard them... Their cuteness is too powerful.

Anyway, Skyward Sword is an awesome game with a really dynamic set of characters. Everything is just so beautiful in its own creative way. Sure, Twilight Princess is awesome too but I hate it that people compare these games. They were made with different motifs, don't bash the other.

Woo, finally uploaded Shaymin! and yep, this is the Shaymin from my Webcam picture.

Not much to say about Shaymin, but I'm also very proud of it. <33 and I love feeling the grass(?) on it's back. It feels so cool! It's probably smaller than you thought, since the Dalek in the picture looks huge, but the Dalek is only 4.5cm tall. n_n;

Shaymin is 4cm long and 2.3-2.5cm tall. Tiny! Made with Zart Modelart clay, painted with acrylics and glazed with Sculpey Gloss Glaze.

welp i haven't posted much lately so i thought i could at least add in one more pic for now.
this was a Christmas gift for one of my coworkers
that being said, he is not for sale.

but another sculpture, yay!!
hes been done for a long while now but there have been some problems posting ~w~
anyways this time tis a pokemon n.n he was really fun to make. i did use a wire armature underneath the clay which made things easier to sculpt =3
i also painted in the white and yellow on the pedals. time consuming, but totally worth it in the end n.n
about 2.5" tall

now i hope to post up my other sculptures soon >.< they've been done for a longer time than Meganium.... and they need to be shown to the internet

Overall I'm quite pleased with how he turned out, there are heaps of improvements from my other Eevee, one that I made over 6 months ago. It's wondrous what practice can do.. xD

He is 12cm tall from tip of ear to ground and is 12.5 cm long. So he's pretty big. xD Tried to make him as large as I could.
Made with polymer clay, painted with acrylics and glazed with sculpey gloss glaze.

Super Mario Galaxy Diorama

My biggest project so far! It's a diorama based on Super Mario Galaxy 1 and 2 on Nintendo Wii. I chose a neutral galaxy so I could add a lot of different elements.

The diorama consists out of 3 parts:
- The main planet with grass, rocks, sand, flowers, boulders, lush, trees, ?-block, a coin, a Luma, lava and King Kaliente (one of the bosses from Mario Galaxy)

- Two "moons" with sand, flowers, lush, rocks, boulders, a Goomba and an Octogoomba

- Mario flying around the galaxy, ready to land and explore the planet

I added some pictures of specific parts of the galaxy, like the Luma, Mario and King Kaliente, so you can see all the details.

Made with Special Clay and acrylic paint, the planets are made from styrofoam and then painted. The entire construction is about 25cm high and 20cm wide. I placed it on a solid stand to give it some balance. It took me about 15 hours to complete this project. Hope you like it ^^

Wow, this was a huge file. If you were to stretch it out in real life, length-wise it would be 120...inches, i beleive....

NOT Photoshopped in any way, all colors are as they are. Exciting, isn't it? :3 I don't have to use my terrible photoshopping skills!
I've been working on this for around a month.. And in the process, serveral limbs have fallen off (You can tell with the Doctor T.T I couldn't fix his leg, sorry), stuff has been glued, painted, written on with sharpy marker (DON'T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON HOW TERRIBLE I THINK THE EYES ARE) and Doctor as one point was burnt.
You can't see it in the pic, but his hair, ears, legs and hooves have been burnt.
BUT, they attended the photoshoot anyway. :3

This sculpture comes in 3 seperate parts:

and the Tree

Doctor and Ditzy Do are made out of Sculpey, Fimo, Glue, Paint and Sharpy.
The tree is made out of Sculpey, Fimo, Glue and feathers. :3 That was REEEEEALLY fun.

So this is kind of different from what I've been doing lately, but it's something I've wanted to try for a bit. It's a 3D version of a Settlers of Catan board piece. The one I pulled it from looked like a forest with a path, but having never played the game, who knows if it's right or not.

Doesn't matter, I still like it!

Romantic picnic

This would be my ideal picnic!
I have been in a mushy romantic mood lately, probably because Valentines day is almost here.

On the picnic blanket: Two yummy strawberry cupcakes with a little candy heart in each, chocolate chip heart-shaped cookies, chocolate dipped strawberries with cream, raspberry jam/jelly sandwiches and several napkins.
In the basket: A bottle of champagne and a bunch of red roses.
I also thought it would be a good idea to get some grass from my garden and cut it into tiny bits just for the added effect

I have never been on a real picnic before so if I went on one this is what I would take....and my boyfriend
I would like it to take place in a lush green meadow under a tree next to a stream. It would also have to be a lovely warm sunny day but being from Scotland that's probably not going to happen any time soon. Haha

I had a whole lot of fun making this but it took a lot of time! The basket alone took about two hours, but I am soooo happy with how it turned out. In total this took me about 6 hours. I imagine if I had been working with clay for longer it wouldn't have taken me so long but it was a good learning experience!

Everything is 100% handmade out of fimo clay apart from the plates and the grass hehe

Inuyasha and kagome's well jewelry box

Various angles of my newest project. Its a jewelry box i made for storing my body jewelry. The theme was Inuyasha's and Kagome's well. The well part was made so i could store other things on top of it. I used my usb keychain as an example. Made with a wooden box, fimo, and acrylic paints. kirara was made with a wire structure that goes into the box for added strength. I didnt want her to fall off. I wrote "I want to change the world" because its part of the first song - change the world Performed by V6

Details:Cherry blossom petals, a certain neko, A pile of kagome's clothes in the back on the box(seen in episode 3), Blades of grass, Little flowers and leaves, Bones inside the well (because its called the bone eaters well), A square on the bottom matching inuyashas outfit.

On the inside: the top is filled with clouds and the bottom is filled with a rice paddy field. If you watch kagome jump into the well in the intro the background changes from blue glittery to sky and paddy fields.

Wow thats alot of details. sorry for rambling ^_^

Easter Basket - Brown Bunny

The Easter basket is finally ready.

There are 4 eggs in the basket, even though you can't see the 4th.

The "grass" is green tissue paper.

The basket is hand woven, but not by me.

The bunny, and eggs are made by me, using polymer clay.

Dragonfly Pond

This is the 5th pond I've made. I tried a few new things this time around... A dragon fly and a tree stump. Actually, a dragon fly ON a tree stump. This piece has the same diameter as a pint glass (I know because i used one to make the initial cutout on the bottom) with a little extra where the tree stump sticks out.
This is made out of polymer clay, paint, wire and craft water. Everything is hand sculpted except the grass, it's plastic grass.

PKMN: Shroomish

A Shroomish! I actually made it a while ago.
I love Gen 3 of Pokemon. My favourite generation.
I must've been watching a lot of TV while making it, because I somehow made it a bit uneven. LOL. Oh well.

It's about 5cm long and 5cm tall. Made out of Zart polymer clay, painted with acrylics and glazed with Sculpey Gloss Glaze.

Oddish Evolution Charms

Yay I finally finished these charms that I've been working on. I always liked oddish so it's the first evolution chain I decided to make. Enjoy!

NO FINISHED YET! but getting close!

My last jar! Unfortunately not the best Jar it's more warped then I thought. =L Oh well, I think it's working out alright.
Almost done now! Just need to finish the top of the jar!

This one is a pain in the rear to photograph!! Just so you know
As of now she has a little Sprite friend to keep her company and of course she wouldn't eat any normal carrot it has to be a super shiny one. She has a little pond in there too with a lily pad floating in it. ( not totally happy with how that came out but I get it next time)

PKMN: Ivysaur

What? Ivysaur from the game Pokemon.

Details: ~7cm tall. Sculpted with polymer clay, painted with acrylics and glazed.

My Comments:

Gah, I had this really long description planned, but then my internet died. ):

Bulba-Ivy-Venusaur is probably my favourite starter chain, one at least one of my favourites.. they look so cool!

Anyway, Ivysaur is another one of my attempts at a walking Pokemon to follow behind my sculpt of myself. I'll upload that sculpt next week with more info on that project.

Soo, yeah, this time I made Ivysaur too big again. ): Oh well.
I'm somewhat happy with how he turned out, but maybe in the future if I have the time I might remake it.

One of the most beautiful insects in the game... On Pokémon Silver I caught a Shiny Butterfree , it was my favorite pokemon until my battery died

Took roughly an hour, the wings were fun The picture inside the picture is taken when holding butterfree against the light, to show the thickness of the wings.
