This cake was made by making a stack of dense sponge cakes, carving the stack into a rough form, and then placing coloured icing on it.

All parts were based of recipees, no packet mixes... I haven't ever done anything like this before- but it isn't much different from sculpting a foam costume head for a fursuit

The fondant icing didn't turn out like expected but it suits a stylised critter.

7 hours of baking. 5 hours of carving/icing. It has over 2kg of materials in it...
