Felted Pikachu

I can never get enough of Pikachu~! >3< It took me quite some time to get the body right x3 When I was first making it, my cousin thought it looked like an egg with a tumor >____> I guess it's time to prove her wrong ;3 I had to mix two different shades of brown together to get the right color for the the stripes & the ears, since the wool I had was either too dark or too light o3o For the tail, I had to cut out an outline of it on felt, which I then felted yellow wool on ^^ I spent the longest time on the ears... They wouldn't cooperate with me & were like different sizes before I fixed them -3- Right now, I'm trying to needle felt a Nyan Cat :3 I wonder how it'll come out... xD

Felted Totoro

I made a felted Totoro for my mom's birthday :3 (even though I said I was making one for my aunt... x3) It only took me about 2 days to make, since it's shape is similar to the Pikachu I made before. The hardest part was probably the gray wool, because I had to mix together different shades to get the right color >____< The photos I took of it aren't as colorful as the Pikachu ones I took, since pretty much all the flowers in my garden wilted TTuTT At least I had some grass & bushes in my yard to add some color ^^

Little forest spirit

This little guy suffered a terrible accident in the oven and I felt very sad every time I saw him , so I didn't want to work more on it. But my mother convinced me to finish him and I could save him. And now I'm very happy with how he turned out ^-^

He is 100% handmade. The head and paws are hand sculpted polymer clay, and the body is handsewn faux fur and fleece for the belly.
He is posable, but don't have any type of armature inside of him, so he is soft. Is also filled with a lot of sand to give him weight, so he gives a very realistic impression when you hold him ( like a real sleeping ferret or something like this XD).
It took me about 35 hours or more to make. I enjoyed so much doing this, so I will make more dolls inspired in asian dragons like him

Silver Fox - poseable art doll

This is the first of my new line of realistic animal dolls!
He is my first resin poseable fox too! He is completely hand made, I sculpted the face and paws, made a mold from them and casted in resin, he is also hand painted and hand sewn, and he has a wire armature inside that allows him to be posed. I also made the eyes.

He is around 1 foot ( 30 cm) from nose to tail tip.

Materials: head and paws are made of polyurethane resin ( that is extremely durable), body is made of faux fur and the eyes are crystal clear polyurethane resin.

PLEASE READ! I'm NOT open for commissions and HE ISN'T FOR SALE yet, because I have to make at least one more to figure out the time they take me to complete so I can put a price for them. Hope they can be for sale very soon!

This is my first custom casted fox made as a japanese kitsune. The three tails can be posed individually. He wears a completely handmade necklace made of a special polymer clay that glows in the dark!

He has a wire armature inside that allows him to be bent in any position . His body is a hand-sewn combination of quality faux fur fabrics ( shaggy and mongolian). The head and paws are casted in urethane resin ( an extremely durable material) from an original sculpture , painted in quality acrylic paints and sealed with a matt varnish for a better durability. The eyes are casted in clear resin to give him a more realistic and lifelike look, and the ears are made of felt and short faux fur.

Total lenght is approximately 38 cm ( 15 inches) long including the tails and 15 cm ( 5,9 inches) tall including the ears. ( the tails are a a bit longer than usual)

i made them both manually with wire and thread and fucking super glue, which is all over my fingers now.

the female cat is my lucky charm and the male bunny is 's.
he has an unhealthy obsession with rabbits and i love cats, thus this happened.

Caught a Dragon

A commission for a client on Etsy. He just said he wanted a happy dragon and purple was his favourite colour, so this is what I came up with!

As usual I had masses of fun making this guy, the sculpting was fun and PAINTING has become really fun since I bought some decent paints!

I'm really, super happy with the colour scheme, gold and blue was always one of my favourite combinations when I was young and gold and purple always looks so regal.

Doll commissions are closed at the moment, but if you would like to be put on the waiting list for when they open again, please send me a note.

P.S. a lot of people have been expressing concerns that this is a real animal that has been dressed up. it ISN'T it's a DOLL but I'm pretty pleased it looks that convincing haha!

Dream from The Sandman

A few months back i was commissioned by Ceiridwen R. to create a doll of Dream from The Sandman comic. Ive always been a big Sandman/ Neil Gaiman fan so i was completely overjoyed to get the chance to make a version of this character for someone.

After he was completed Ceiridwen decided to send photos of him to Dreams creator Mr Gaiman, He posted the letter from Ceiridwen plus the photos of the doll in His Blog!! needless to say I'm still giddy/honored/floored by this.

I sculpt my dolls in Chavant clay, from that i pull silicone molds and cast in a custom resin mix, i then drill my parts hollow and string with elastic (my dolls are completely poseable) i sand down the seams then paint on the makeups. His eyes are custom black eyes with a few flecks of fine holographic glitter, His wig is made from synthetic fur. His costume is by Dreux Priore.

A nine tailed kitsune demon that was a challenge but very fun to make.

He has wires in each of his tails, his legs, back and neck, so he is fully posable! His body is the same fur as his tails but trimmed down - it was sent to me by the commissioner so it would match her fursuit.

Also a mini breakthrough: I had fun taking these photos! Shocker! I owe it to the new amazing ring light Rob bought me for my Christmas

This is Innsmouth the Raven! He's just as curious as most ravens tend to be but perhaps a little more jolly than most! Innsmouth likes to sing weird songs about fish people and tell dirty limericks. He's nearly always laughing at something... a great companion for a person who might be a little sad and needs some joy. Innsmouth loves smoked eels, steamed mussels and pretty much any stinky fishy sea food. He likes to peck small children so get ready for that.
His necklace is made from a carved pine prayer box that unscrews to reveal a mystery item! Also made from brass beads, quartz, wood and stone carved beads.
Innsmouth is 8.25" ( 21cm) tall when standing on his feet.
This is a handmade, one of a kind piece of art. The face and feet are an original sculpt cast in resin that is then hand painted. Each cast piece is sealed with clear coat. The body is a soft, non articulated floppy style stuffed with soft polyfill and plastic pellets in the bottom. Faux fur body with stiff felt wings with hand painted accents. This raven doll stands up well on his own two feet

Every one of my dolls comes with a signed resin monster face medallion tag marking it as one of my one of a kind critters. These dolls are meant to be petted and cuddled a bit but please treat them with care. Wipe the face or paws with a slightly damp cloth to clean any scuffs or dust. Oh lookie, I made a reptile. Again.
Well, maybe when they invent seed beads that look like fur... But for now, reptileeeessssss

Eyes are two milky/opalite Swarovski rivoli-like square thingys. I've wanted to try and make eyes from rivoli for quite some time, and these looked nice with hematite and metallic blue beads, so I made a lizard. A rather big-eyed one. Oh well.
Legs are an experiment too - I needed thin fingers, so fingers are entirely on wire.

Technique - brick stitch + a bit of peyote.

Mostly cylinder beads (~35grams of them). Miyuki delica, a bit of Toho treasures. Some size 15, 11 and 8 rocailles too - for fingers and decoration.
The lizard is 27 cm long.

6k+ views in the first 6 hours, wtf, wow O_o

This little fennec measures 22cm long approximately, inlcuding the 9cm tail. It's probably the smallest doll I've made so far! And this small size makes him look even cuter in person >w< ( I'll upload some photos of it in my hand to show the size better)

Face and paws are casted in resin from an original sculpture and the body is handsewn faux fur filled with sand to give him weight. It haven't any kind of armature inside so it's floppy and feels like a realistic animal when you hold him. He can make some poses but not so complex ones because he isn't armatured.
The ears are made of faux fur too, but they have a wire structure inside so they are rigid and a little posable.
The eyes are also handmade by me of clear resin.

Felted Lorisnail

A needle felted Lorisnail! This took quite a long time, mostly because of the shell. I had to make it twice because the first wasn't fitting with the body the way I wanted it to. But I also had to dye the wool, make adjustments to the eyes, and gosh those hands! The hands!!!

Ahem. Anyway, the body is felted wool over pipe cleaners so it can be posed -- including the fingers. The hands have a little bit of marker on the palms to make them pinkish. Eyes are painted paper clay (I painted them twice heh).

The shell is papier mache with a layer of paper clay on top to make it smooth. I got the shape by molding it out of modeling clay, which I then cut in half so I could make two papier mache casts, and when they dried I taped them together and reinforced with another layer of papier mache. After the paper clay was sanded, I painted it with acrylics. Painted it twice, again!

And of course all the way through I was tweaking the body, re-felting parts of it, and moving the armature around a bit. Not recommended.

BUT finally I like the end result! I hope you do too! This little guy is definitely going in the exhibit this summer.

Valentine's Day Alpaca

Since the other alpacas I made became popular, I decided to make another for this upcoming holiday!

3" tall by 4.5" long. Made from an aluminum armature, polymer clay base, and pom poms for fluff! Gingham ribbon has lace trim sewn onto it and a gold bell attached for jingles.

For all of you well-wishers and people whose comments consist of single words, I do appreciate them, but I find myself inundated with other things to do at the moment, so if I don't get around to saying it personally, thank you so much!

Yes, this was a present for a friend this past Christmas. Literally 4 days straight of work, at the least.

Usually my photos are better but considering it was finished really late at night the day before it had to be given away... you get the backroom carpet.

Momo was both a challenge and a blast to needlefelt, though.

Those of you who have been around me in chats for the past... oh, four or so days have likely heard of this creature.

I can't say the background is pretty, but I had literally stayed up half the night making this cutie and the next day he had to be delivered out, as he is indeed a Christmas present. I am happy to say he's found a loving home already, and perhaps in the future I can snab up a few more pictures.

Anywho, ladies and gents, meet Momo, the flying lemur from the beloved series Avatar, the Last Airbender.

That is a ruler he's holding in the bottom right, 12 inches-- for you metric folks, ~30.5 cm.

Needlefelting large things is always surprising. I forget how much work it takes so easily...

Momo was made with a type of crafting called needle felting. Basically what happens is I take a bunch of loose (i.e. roving) wool and jab it with a needle (many, many times). The wool bonds to itself, slowly getting firmer and firmer. Eventually, it's firm enough to stand by itself in a sculpture-like way. By adding more roving wool, I can sculpt a creature or a person or whatever out of the wool.

Needlefelting is a relatively new craft, having only been invented 30 years or so ago. It's similar to the process of wet felting, but instead of using water, needles are used.

My needlefelt creations almost always include a wire base, so they are extremely posable, and I find the freedom of sculpting and the resulting plushness to be everything I could have asked for in a medium.

I happily take commissions, and my prices range from 20 and up, depending on the complexity but mainly on the size. Please see my commission sheet for pricing.

Posable Fully Hand Made Fire Fox!

The only one of its kind!
This unique hand sculpted poseable Fantasy "Fire Fox" is a rare piece of artwork being offered up for bid! It is fully posable and can be posed in many positions. This is a completely hand made fantasy creature! I hand sculpted the head and claws onto a posable wire skeleton that I made and wrapped with stuffing. Parts of the imitation fur I have hand dyed while maintaining full softness. I hand paint the clay parts with acrylics and even the eyes are carefully hand painted. There is not another creature like this in the world!

I do not use molds, casts or patterns, each is fully hand made and original.

The Fire Fox is approximately 9 1/2 inches tall and 23 inches long from noes to end of tail. I sign each one on the side of the foot, back of the ear or under the jaw.

Graphite dragon is original, artistic doll. It's one of a kind piece of collectible art. It's completely handmade. It is 70 cm long. It's paws, head and antlers are made of resin. They are much more durable than clay. It's non-articulated, soft and huggable [no armature inside]. It's made of high quality, soft faux fur and it is completely vegan friendly.

30cm cm (12 inches) tall, details are made of sculpey, and the body is soft (no joints or armature skeleton inside).
His charm is made of fossilized shark tooth and necklace is made of juniper wood (it smells so cool)!

Odette is a rather graceful hamster/songbird gryphon who delights in the fineries of life.

She is fully poseable and made from fimo, faux fur, stuffing, tinfoil, floral tape and wire. Her eyes are map pins and her whiskers are fishing wire.

Vanellope doll

Here is my one of a kind Vanellope von Schweetz doll from the movie Wreck-It Ralph. She is such a sweet character that I really wanted a doll from her and the official merchandise (the good one) is very hard to get in Germany at the moment. So, I made this cutie here. It was a challenge, for example her head, it is sculpted from paper clay and then covered with cloth. And I know that I did not get her proportions right but with a bigger head (sculpted) she would not have been able to stand.

I hope you like her, maybe I will take some better photos of her when the weather gets better.

(I don't take commissions, it's only my hobby ^^)

How to Train Your Dragon

Dragons are not affectionate creatures and will not come to your call because they "like" you, they will come for food. If you feed them too much early in the day then they will become full and will refuse to fly, so you must make sure to keep them hungry but not starving.

In order to train your dragon to a high standard you must weigh him at the beginning of every day to find out his "flying weight". It's also a good practice to do so to determine whether or not your dragon is sick, because if he is suffering from parasites or disease he will eat but not gain weight.

When your dragon is nearing his moult, generally in Autumn and Spring, you will need to make sure to feed him extra food. You don't necessarily have to make him fly to do this, but it would be a good time to get in extra training. After he sheds his skin DO NOT fly your dragon, as he will be tender for the next few days.

This is a young dragon, about eight weeks, but learning quickly. I've found his particular favourite is dried mealworms, but I've had dragons in the past that have a huge appetite for cucumber and also millet seeds - what you need to train your dragon with depends on the dragon. When they get bigger your 'treats' will need to get bigger too, at about 10-12 weeks switch to defrosted mice or chicks.

I am willing to sell him to a good, responsible owner who will take care of him and make sure he doesn't eat too many people when he gets big. Previous dragon ownership is not necessary. Please follow this link for more information on adopting him: [link]

I hand sculpted the face and feet onto a posable skeleton that I made and wrapped with stuffing so its very soft. I then paint the clay parts with acrylics and small brushes. The eyes are hand painted as well.. Synthetic hand dyed fur.

There is not another creature like this in the world!

Scraps process

A present for Rei and her Corpse bride photoshoot (Scraps)

So the process:
- stick together three layers of expanded polystyrene with white glue;
- cut the form of a skull with a box knife (long and painful process);
- make a skeleton of a body and the bottom jaw with the help of wire, and stick together with the skull;
- cover it with papier-mache, till it has the size you need;
- after it's dry, cover with putty and let it to dry up, then smooth with sandpaper;
- ribs and flat bones are made of cardboard (several layers) and attached to the body;
- since I was in a hurry, I made teeth of playdough >< you can make it of modeling clay or from the same expanded polystyrene.
- in the end cover everything with primer and draw eyes and spinal bones;
- ideally, it should be covered with paint and varnish, but I just did not have time to finish it properly.
