So, I had a couple of people ask, and that's enough- here's a tutorial on how I make my earcuffs. Now, other people might make them differently, but this is how I do mine.

TOOLS & SUPPLIES:

wire (any colour; 24 --> 16 gauge)
wire cutters
round-nosed pliers
flat-nosed pliers (optional)
beads (optional)
other decorative things (optional again)

Cake Roll Cane Tutorial

Here is a another tutorial! This is the second one that I made and it turned out to be a really long one! I am hoping it is a little better than my first one lol
A little while ago I had a cake roll (never had one before!) I really liked how unique the cake looks from the usual cakes. From that time I was inspired to make these charms.

This tutorial shows how I make a cake roll cane. Here I use my own preferences but you can always make changes that best suit you if you don't like vanilla you can switch to brown clay to make a chocolate cake instead.

I worked hard on putting this together. Feel free to follow exactly or make your very own but please use a link back to this page or let me know if you would like to post this image somewhere else. Thanks!

Lucky Star keychain tutorial

Origami stars are symbols of luck, happiness, and love
This is a tutorial on one way you can use your lucky stars,
thus making a Lucky star keychain.

I did not include the instructions on how to make the stars

Since the stars are made of paper if they are put under pressure they will get squished, but I made a keychain for myself and the stars have been just fine (as long as I don't get bored and start squishing them lol). I haven't tried it yet
but maybe some glazing on them might make them stronger.

It was a little difficult to explain all the steps thoroughly
so if there are any questions feel free to ask!

Easy Epoxy Resin Tutorial

This is my guide to an easier way to make jewelry and other crafts with Epoxy Resin. I think it's rather simple and easy to follow. I only proof read this once so if there's any errors please let me know. :] Any questions let me know and I'll try and help. Remember this is my SECOND time working with resin ever. This is just my way.

I couldn't find any tutorials of resin being used this way. So I had to just try and learn myself and I'm posting this to help anyone who was looking as hard as me.

I hate when artist hide their secret to crafting thinking it will cut their sales in half or what not. I believe you should share some techniques and help others learn. If you like the artist enough you'll still buy from them anyways. And I hope by posting this I don't lose the support of my buyers.

If you follow this tutorial and get everything pictured I can almost assure you you won't spend more than 55 bucks.
And that's saying you don't have stickers, anything to sand with, no cups, etc etc. When I started with resin all I needed was the resin and the molds. Cost me 30 bucks right there.

I finally got around to finishing up a new tutorial. I've been putting off writing for so long I was beginning to think I would never get around to it.

This one is for my swirly ear cuffs. These are a lot of fun to make. They work up relatively quickly (I've got it down to about 10-15 minutes if the wire is cooperating with me that day). People seem to love them to. It's gotten to the point that if I just walk out my front door when I'm wearing one of them someone just has to stop me and ask about them. lol

may/24/09 edit - ARTISTS NOTICE: i have had several requests for better detailed instructions and pictures with reguard to creating the frame around the crest itself. partially in response to that, and partially because i've almost got my act together, i will be shortly posting my tutorial of the cullen boys crest bracelet i created, which will have a better explination of the steps taken to create the frame (although the frame is slightly different, the steps were all still the same) and attaching it to the fimo part of the crest! i wil have that up as soon as it is done, and i'll pop the link in here so it will be easy to find. thank you for taking the time to look at these tuts again by the way! i sincerely hope they are a help!

not sure if this actually counts as a tutorial or not...? *shrugs* ah well.. here goes

short version: my cullen crest project.

i made this one back when they first started talking about the crest, and i have to get back to it because i want to do a better job with the next one

i made the set of numbered pics on the left as a guide for me to hep me remember the order i did things in, and then got a suggestion from my enormously gifted roomie to put it up here to see if it could help others.

ingredients:
-black, white, and silver fimo.
-exacto knife
-something oval to cut the shapes (roomies make-up lid worked REAlly well)
-sewing pins (for details and clovers)
-silver wire (just coated, real silver not necessary)
-silver beads (plastic, a dime a billion)
-black craft paint (water based, for antiquing)
-silver chrome nail polish (adds a bit of shine)
-clear nail polish (keeps everything pretty and shiny)
-and, of course, super glue!

i'm pretty pleased with the end result, it just needs a little tweeking. (*wrinkles nose* that lion is a bit deflickted)

ok, believe it or not, that was the short version. here's the long one

if you use this process to make your own cullen crest and have any questions, please feel free to drop me a line and i'll be glad to help anyway i can!

ok, ingredients above.

1) model pictures that i kept in front of me the whole time!

2-3) these were to remind me how much i used of what, and mixes. like in 3, that small sliver of white i mixed with the smaller chunk of silver to lighten it a bit, and the color came out exactly what i was looking for! lucky.

4-5) my roommates "covergirl tru blend" lid was perfect for making the oval shape. the size was perfect, and, as it was/is airtight, the ovals pop right back out after you cut them, like cookies and a cookie cutter.

6) by cutting out thicker ovals and then smooshing them slightly, i got a few different sizes, as rosalie's version is obviously much larger then alice's, the boys, and/or esme and carlisle's rings.

NOTE: don't forget that if you cook your fimo pieces in a pan that it can never again be used for food, as fimo releases some blah blah gas that will not come out of the metal except when heated and will make your food yucky. cook it on aluminum foil on a cookie sheet, or even better, invest in one of those little cheesey pie tins. very much worth the dollar something they cost

7) add the banner next and bake again. it's won't hurt the first layer, honest. use the ball of the pin for the clover leaves, and the sharp end for the tails of the clover. and DON't have them going the wrong direction like mine! *lol*

8) next goes the lion and the hand. don't forget to use the sharp end of the pin, or the exacto knife to add any details before you bake it, because when you antique it, the black paint will settle in any and every little cut, carve, or detail you put.

yay! all your baking is done! now comes paint.

9) put a few drops of the black paint on a plat or sommat, and dip your finger in it. spread the paint all over the crest, careful to get it in all the details. smooth it carefully with your finger, and then when you are sure you've gotten everything saturated, carefully start wiping it off with a paper towel or a piece of cotton. you obviously want it in all the deep places, while the higher places stay paint free and light grey.

10) once everything is VERY dry, start working with the wire and the little beads. my favorite frame was the one that is around the crests that jasper, emmett, and edward wear. this is where the superglue comes in handy! just experiment,and make sure you like it before you glue it! antique the beads and wire just like you did the crest itself.

11) last step. CAREFULLY dab your finger on the chrome silver nail polish and then CAREFULLY dab it on the very highest places on the banner, lion, and hand. you can also dab a teensy bit on the wire and beads if you want them to shine a little more to. once again, let everything dry Thoroughly! then CAREFULLY coat everything in two very light coats of clear nail polish. front, back, cracks, crevices, everything. that will seal all the colors and antiquing in, plus, fimo is very porous and can get very dirty very easily if not sealed.

12-13) a sharper scan and softer scan, if that helps you at all.

then Duh Nuh!! Wear it!

and try not to have your wearing it tell everybody that they can grab at you, which, for some reason, cool jewelry seems to do

Katara necklace tutorial

Yes i did it!!!

I really wanted a Katara's necklace!
So that i decided to make her necklace for myself^^.

I was thinking what material should i use, and suddenly i saw the candles that i made from wax.
I really love making candles and carving them.

for those want to make pendant like this:

IMPORTANT: TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF

1. In a metal -pot (important: METAL ) melt
the wax that you bought. WATCH OUT for yourself! it is veryyy hot! If you just find only white coloured wax, melt with it some blue-coloured wax-chalk (i hope you know what i mean! :S)

2. When you see our wax is liquid and blue enough pour into a small round metal form. (I really suggest a jagger form for cookies!)

3. Wait until our wax-form gets cold.

4. Then, remove the cookie-jagger, and you can see something with a round form.

5. Now starts the carving! the best tool for this is a small knife and rigid metal wire.
Carve it to flat and nice round shape, and carve in those water-tribe symbols! (Good hint: with the rigid metal wire it is quite easy and fun to carve the symbols)

6. Very carefully make a hole in it BUT VERY CAREFULLY!
Then put a metal ring or something like that.

7.When you readywith carving, paint the pendant with transparent, or white-metal coloured nail-polish. (i used the white-metal colour)

8. Put it on a dark-blue band.

9. Its ready! Use it well!

Carnival - Tutorial Completed

At certain angles, the pendants made in this style remind me of the tilt'a'whirl my friends and I used to ride at the fair every year when I was a kid. At other angles, for some strange reason, I just want to tie dye them. They make me remember all those times when I would burst out laughing for no reason at all, and keep laughing and laughing and laughing. For me, they evoke a feeling of sheltered innocence. The kind of freedom you feel as a child running through the county fair, looking for the next thrill to ride, or twirling round and round in circles until you become so dizzy you fall, laughing with glee.

My cheeseburger tutorial

This is my first tutorial ever!! Woo-hoooo!

Took me a while to figure out how to put it together but I finally figured out how to by using Paint lol

This is a tutorial on how I make my little cheeseburgers. Of course you can always change around the ingredients to match your favorite burger!

A fun DIY project!

You might have most of the supplies in your house already, if not they can easily be obtained in most craft stores or online.

I have a heart glitter nail polish that is about to run out, I really liked how it looked and I wanted to
find a way to keep a little bit of it. This is where the idea for the necklace came in.
It's one of my favorites right now and I get a lot of compliments on it when I wear it

The concept of a many-branched tree symbolizes that all life on Earth is related and has been used in science, religion, philosophy, mythology and other areas. It could represent a mystical concept of the oneness in all things, a metaphor for common descent in the evolutionary sense, and a motif in various world theologies, mythologies and philosophies.

This is the first tutorial in my series of up and coming tutorials for the wire jewelry artists. With this tutorial you will learn how to make my version of classical Tree of Life pendant using wire and various gems and beads. No soldering required! Although it is described as an intermediate project, the tutorial contains so much detail that any level of enthusiast is able to make the piece.

New Cheesecake Tutorial

This is an updated version of my old blueberry cheesecake tutorial. There's a couple of things I've done differently in this one, which I think leads to better results. Most importantly, I changed the method of tinting the liquid clay, in the old tutorial I used the old Citadel inks. Unfortunately these were discontinued nearly two years ago, and when I tried using the new ones the results weren't as good.

After a bit of Googling, I found out that waterbased inks aren't a good choice for tinting liquid clay anyway, as they can make it bubble while it's baking and come out cloudy and opaque, which is the problem I'd had with the new inks. So in this version of the tutorial, I've used powdered pastel instead, which works great. I also like using the matt and gloss lacquer for these instead of just gloss, it makes the sauce look wet and sticky. Mmmmmm.

Feel free to use this tutorial and post your results, I'd love to see them, but please don't post this tutorial anywhere else without my permission.

Raindrop Labradorite Pendant

A brilliant blue teardrop-shaped piece of labradorite wrapped by hand in .925 sterling silver. Labradorite is a glorious natural stone; it is an amazing form of feldspar that comes to life when the light catches it- then there is a flash of color (labradorescence) across the surface like the northern lights!

I can only hope I did the stone justice with my wire-wrapping job.

Glowing CrystalHeart Moonstone

This is a moonstone carefully hand wrapped in Argentium sterling silver.

Moonstone is an amazing stone that can appear milky or white at first, until you move it and the stone comes alive with colors flashing within. The effect is similar in appearance to opal fire. It is a natural stone, and the effect is caused by refractive layers within the stone. It cannot be simulated or dyed to look that way.
