This is a patchwork of pattern that I put together, and I have learned my lesson, either never do this again, or figure out what I'm doing before I start. I had a very clear vision of what I wanted. This is one of my very favourited sayings and I've been looking for an excuse to stitch it. However I have never had a more annoying pattern to follow. If anyone actually wants it, I will have to revamp the whole thing first
However; despite that, it came out just how I wanted it to.
Patterns are frankensteined from a couple on-line letters I found, the floral letters here [link] and the music ones adapted from a site I can't seem to find anymore, I'll put list it if I ever find it again. The treble clef was all my own. The leaf and vine background was taken from the background of a bird pic, from the Just Cross Stitch Magazine #28 from March/April 2010, This was fun to adapt as I was pulling it out from behind the bird and putting it in behind the letters (yes I should have done this step first - oops) I used KG-Chart LE for doing all this, can't blame the program as it worked beautifully when I made my flags.
So-----
Time - Started on April 20th, finished May 20th but it was my backup piece so was only worked on during Jeopardy
Stitch count - 80w x 82h (approx 6"x6")
Colors - 6 (DMC 304, 310, 704, 722, 972, 966)
Stitches - Full, 3/4, 1/2, 1/4, backstitch, and french knot (I like a variety of stitches so this was deliberate)
Fabric - 28ct white evenweave ]]>
