Originally, a friend of mine was supposed to carve pumpkins w/me a few days before Halloween, but things got a little crazy, and we never found time... so I had 2 pumpkins to carve instead of just mine. The pic I used to carve is a pic of my friend's insanely crazy cat, Terra, in one of her most photogenic posses. She was going to carve a cat if she had carved pumpkins w/me (although, she would have never tried to do this image b/c she said it was too complicated), so I kinda got the idea to try to carve her cat as a result.
Originally, I didn't think I'd be able to pull it off, but I think it turned out pretty good. I kept confusing myself though after I stenciled it all out... I couldn't tell which lines were supposed to be shaved and which were supposed to be left solid!
Again, this is the real pumpkin and not a foam one. I will eventually carve this onto a foam pumpkin though. Overall, I think this took me around 2 hours to carve... not sure though since I carved 2 more images on the same pumpkin that day... and I didn't pay a whole lot of attention to individual carving times.

Though with these fake pumpkins you really need an exacto knife because it works better on getting the letters done and, some shapes, the cat was the hard part so my advice look up alot on how to make your own cut outs and then read on what you should do to make it work when you cut it out . ]]>

The left picture:

This is the whole door complete with graveyard, haunted house, scary moon, and huge drawings. That's my friend Fidget's knee in the corner. We all worked on the haunted house and it was a pain to try to add to the picture so I didn't bother getting closer to it for this. But isn't it nice?

Middle picture:

This is the left side of the graveyard. I did all the gravestones and the drawings (sept the pumpkin and the cat in this picture which were stencils that Fidget did). The curtains are out of strips of tissuees and ghosty Al is done by Fidget on tracing paper. The first graveston says "Jessy. She had a Hart attack" (her name is Jessy Hart 9.9;; ) and next to her grave is a crying Link who is her favorite character. The third is "Pete (Was killed by chu)" with Pikachu jumping with joy next to his marker (it's a Smash Bros joke). And lastly "Jenn Rest in Pieces"...I don't know Jen that well o.o;;;

Ghosty Ed on the other side by Fidget with tracing paper and the graves again are all me. Zim is randomly screaming "The Halloweenies!" I felt this was appropriate. The first gravestone is Meloldy's and says "Ahh...Much Better" she wrote that herself but I did her hand coming out of the ground. The second one says "The Late Great Kate" and she has my beloved weasel cat hissing next to her grave. Lastly is Twitch's grave and she just has a smiley face on it and a dragon sitting on her tombstone.

This is the whole door complete with graveyard, haunted house, scary moon, and huge drawings. That's my friend Fidget's knee in the corner. We all worked on the haunted house and it was a pain to try to add to the picture so I didn't bother getting closer to it for this. But isn't it nice?

Middle picture:

This is the left side of the graveyard. I did all the gravestones and the drawings (sept the pumpkin and the cat in this picture which were stencils that Fidget did). The curtains are out of strips of tissuees and ghosty Al is done by Fidget on tracing paper. The first graveston says "Jessy. She had a Hart attack" (her name is Jessy Hart 9.9;; ) and next to her grave is a crying Link who is her favorite character.
