OFFICIAL! Andrew Scott approved! This, from Turkfox who runs Andrew Scott online: Just thought I'd let you know - I wore the Moriarty earring the other night, to the theatre. I run a fansite for Andrew Scott so I've spoken with him extensively, and the other night I showed him the earring and he LOVED it! He got that way he gets when he's incredibly excited and giggly, and kept saying it was amazing, and asked where I got it. Then he showed it to his friends and one said what we were all thinking - "It's got your eyebrows and everything!"

So yes, basically - Andrew approves of the earring version of him rather a lot

This is the one that I'm actually sending my friend, so it's not for sale.

I hate that nose I painted on last minute, but she seems to still like the doll!

This was an experiment in 3D head-making and button-jointing. It was also a learning experience in pattern-making for me. What I learned: it sucks. I am not good at it. But, I've got to get better if I want my Etsy store to become a full-time occupation!

He's about 20" tall. Felt & fleece as per usual; mixed it up with some acrylics on his face.

jeej finally finished so happy ^^ I'm still not that good at making stuff with wool etc. but better than I was half a year ago. It's now staring at me and it creeps me out, a little sins it's hidden behind some stuff and I can only see his eyes and the top of his head. Behold: Sherlock Holmes's arch-nemesis, Jim Moriarty (as played by Andrew Scott) in plush form!

This was a prototype gift for a friend, but I made her an even bigger one instead. A Moriplushie? A Moriarshie? A Plushiarty? Last one sounds like a shiatsu massage (which I'll soon need on my sewing arm). I feel like I'm going to be making more of these in the future, so I've got to give him a catchall name!

Jim stands at 15" but is made to sit on his bum. He is entirely handsewn out of felt, fleece, and stuffed with polyfil.

Shoes based on BBC's Sherlock produced by Steven Moffat and Mark Gattis. Starring Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock Holmes) and Martin Freeman (John Watson)

The shoes have the Baker Street flat's wallpaper all over them detailed by hand with copic markers.
On the front of the right shoe (pictured left) is Sherlock's silhouette.
The sides of the shoes: one features Moriarty's IOU apple, the other says "221 B Baker Straße" I put Straße (Strasse) because it means street in German and I wanted to add a German word because it is the language I'm currently learning!

Not Vatican Cameos - Sherlock Cameos!

Whew! I've finally got a pretty good set of BBC Sherlock cameos going! From top to bottom, Sherlock Holmes, Jim Moriarty, John Watson (who is soon to be improved), and finally, Mycroft Holmes. Each handcrafted cameo is next to the orginal I sculptures I made.

I sculpted these in polymer clay (Super Sculpey firm). After baking the mini-sculptures, I attached them to oval backings and made molds from the originals. I then poured two layers of resin (white for the profile, then black for the oval backing). The result is a fused hard resin cameo. Each cameo measures just under 2". From these I make brooches, wine toppers, magnets, necklaces...anything really. I've had a blast wearing them around. Yay for wearable geek art!

All are made of polymer clay (except the crown, which I just added because Moriarty needed more love. )

I finally put together all accesories inspired by Sherlock Holmes. A new one -BBC´s and old original Doyle´s .All are handmade except that umbrella brooch-it was bought years before at Vienna flea market in horrible state.I must repair it and re-patined.
From the left to right-
Locket with John Watson Portrait- Remoable portrait sealed under resin is inserted in patined medailon.
Sherlock Holmes retire
Miniature model of beehive with tiny bees inside small glass bottle.Made from wax/wood and painted with modeller colours and acryl.
Jim Moriarty´s "Boom" machine
The main motive of earrings is original heart-shaped mexican milagros from metal. They´re wire wrapped and connected with metal clock wheels plus various parts of clock,roughten natural crystals and shinning Swarowski crystals in red/orange color./It reminds me a aiming red points from rifles from pole in The Great game ./
Mycroft brooch
Golden-colored filligree vintage brooch in umbrella shape.

I know it's a bit hard to see, but the bottom silhouettes and the top silhouettes are connected, which means they fold over and are the same shape. :'D

A silly project of mine that started with a doodle on a wasted screen protector and has now become a bit of a project. I doodled an ACD!Holmes on the scrap sheet, in 's style, and it turned out super adorable--it was right near the edge, and on a clear sheet, so I decided to draw the back on the other side--I then cut it out, and I had a little doll that folded at the bottom and had both sides! I'm currently using it as a bookmark in my Sherlock Holmes book, and I thought I'd make more little bookmarks. : D

So this is why I have--Sherlock Holmes, John Watson, Mycroft Holmes, and James Moriarty. ((Mycroft and Moriarty came out bad--sorry)) All of them were drawn directly with a sharpie, now planning or pencil or anything, so they're a bit rough. XDDD My favorite is Watson.

I'd be willing to make more and sell them if 1) I actually thought I'd have takers 2) I had a paypal account. Oh well. If you know me IRL, I guess you could ask for one! XDDD I'd probably charge between 25 cents and a dollar--$.25 seems a better price, but $1 is very easy and actually useful for me. XDDDDD

John Watson was strong. Soft, Jim was pleased to note, but strong. The average pissant wouldnt have known this, but he did serve bravely in the Afghan war and he wasnt easy to capture. Jim swore to himself, thinking of the expenses hed have to pay for the two men Dr. Watson had put into the hospital when they knicked him off the street.

But everything was going well, despite setbacks. Jim was onto the deal of a lifetime, one that would cement him as a bonafide Napoleon of Crime. Pity Sherlock Holmes and John Watson were getting too bloody close. Kidnapping John was a temporary fix, Jim knew, but it would give him time and more importantly, leverage.

Yes, I walk around with Sherlock's silly hair all day every day. Winter knitted the jumper in one month. And Crystal had ALL the right jewelry and even finger nail lengths!

I have recently made an even bigger one, it's the size of a real apple. A very blobby apple. ^_^ I use this one as a paper weight, since I have a fan near my desk that dries various things. It also blows paper in my face, violently. So I solved that problem. There you go kids, the moral of Sherlock Holmes Week; if a homicidal fan violently slams paper in your face, resulting in numerous papercuts near your eyes, put a clay apple on the paper. Then kill the fan with a harpoon.
