I originally had this version on much more of a gray scale. However, using the colours of deviantART I remade this, making the text easier to read...

Lol, couldn't think of a better title.

This was made for the deviantART Help & FAQ advertising contest which came up on me by surprise but when I saw it, I thought I'd try a contest that didn't involve space or landscapes. I knew that adding heaps of detail as I normally do would ruin the effectiveness of the Ad, so I kept it simple.

Now to explain my concept, well basically it should attract anyone who is "Lost" in the DA community and seeking help, all elements were carefully planned so the eye is lead to one thing by the next, first "Lost?..." then the Sun/Logo helps pull your attention further right to notice poor little Fella hopelessly lost in the vast desert until finally we see what it is advertising in the bottom corner...So the concept is straightforward.

EDIT: =taenaron suggested a simpler text, while ~MizukiYanagi said it woul be better if the backround was deviantART'S colour instead of orange. Thankyou for your advice but I am happy now and won't be changing it from now on...The original version is here [link]

A Sudden Idea, I discovered this idea and then took me one hour to finish this. Since I already have the 3d model of the fella so I only need to model a cube and setting lighting conditions.

And I tried to shape up the title so it doesn't boring with need help? or solving problem or something like that... although the very core of it still speaks about solving problem

EDITED: When I double-check this deviation, I realize that I might be mis-typed the resolution in the process. When this is posted it's 768x90 which is not qualified for the contest. So I fixed it to 728x90 and it should be correct by now.

I'll tell you the story behind this concept:

I remember playing an RTS game over LAN with my friend, it's 1vs1 and reached a stalemate lockdown, both my and my friend's army are so strong that neither of us can do any successful attack. In that situation, one false move will mark a defeat for that player, and because my friend do a wrong-placed artillery strike, I win the match haha

So, the core message of this ad is "Help and FAQ" could prevent you to make careless moves, and what's special of this one, whether you read the left sentence first (consult Help & FAQ to prevent careless moves) or right sentence first (to prevent careless moves consult Help & FAQ) the core message still intact. Pretty neat don't you think?

Another entry for DA Help & Faq Community Project. This time I focused the theme again to problem solving, yet I added the urgency of time in this matter. As Help Desk responses are relatively fast, so I think I shouldn't neglect the element of time.

I remember when I first joined DA, I saw all the ads for "help & faq" but I never really knew where the help & faq was. It took me a while before I figured out there was a link to help & faq on the front page. I thought maybe this picture would help someone who is new on DA locate where the help & faq actually is.

I've seen one Help & FAQ ads that involves a fella writing "I will use help & faq before going crazy" many times (I think it's about like that), and I'm trying to explore it further, resulting this kind of thing. Let's say this one was inspired by that ad.

Different from the other of my entries, this one doesn't involve problem solving. It's more like awareness of the Help & FAQ itself.

always wanted to take part in a dA contest but never found the mood or time necessary. this sounded too fun not to give it a try..

the idea came to mind immediatly after seing the little dA mascot. he had a pretty intimidating look but hey, he had to be one of the good ones..
so I made him a commander. but.. a nice one. he's struggling for the well-being of deviants and is always there to help
