This is my entry for the Design the Dew contest. Went a little crazy on the details, but I'm pleased with the result.

I really didn't know what to draw for this particular contest so I just decided to draw something fun with a Mountain Dew theme. Hope you kiddos dig it-- as you would a Dew.

i'm thinking it's probably too cutesy for most people. and i liked using thicker lines. i like entering contests that inspire me even though i won't win. it's fun.

i'll probably do another piece that isn't so cluttered with cute. because =VampireJaku and i talked about it and noticed how manly and urban the other bottles are.

the first time i uploaded it, it didn't work. @_@

jason had work all day yesterday so i did this. i spent a lot of time looking at street art and tried to mimic the style of eyes while keeping my own, as well. and also, i tried to keep consistant colors and monsters. yay. i love street art, to be honest. it's really neat and impressive

When first thinking of the Idea, naturally I knew it had to incorporate graffiti and bring something new to the table. I am a college student working on my international Business degree, and always needed a boost of energy in the morning a.k.a MD. With that in mind, I needed to bring both my love of graffiti, business, and MD so I decided to have a city theme. It was based off an earlier work I did which is almost the same, save for a few nu ounce details. I am proud to be apart of new revolution of artist, changing boring ideas in to works of art.

My submission that almost killed me. but stress must be my OCD.

i don't think their are too many things i have to explain about the picture....the seahorses are made of glass or at least they're see through, the suckers on the octopus's tentacles are can tops with tabs attached...the earrings and necklace on the mermaid are can tabs and the corset is made from bottle caps and what i'm hoping kinda resembles plastic kinda like a trash bag. it's not biggie if it just looks like pleather. I was recently informed it would be more animal avenger friendly.

I decided to base my design on my favorite thing to eat and dream about, cute fruit!

The fruits I chose are based on the 5 citric acid fruits

Lemon

Pineapple

Orange

Grape Fruit

lime

5 fruits, 5 mountains (a mountain range in a ocean of Dew), Citric acid being one of Mountain Dew 's main ingredients.

Well I had a lot of fun creating this design vector, enjoy!

this isnt it, but its alright too.

i tried to be slightly consistent with the random background, and yes that is indeed a bendy straw in her mouth

Yeah, I totally had to enter the Design the Dew contest.

If this could get printed properly on the bottle, it would look pretty good, but now it just looks like a deformed hand print.

This is first entry i have for the mountain dew contest. i drew this drawing thinking i would color the entire dragon (all the scales, hair and everything) but then i got this idea and i thought it looked awesome!!!
anyway, i am going to play around with this one some more and submit some different versions of it so....ya.....
O! and i did this in photoshop. i knew i wouldnt be able to do a good job on this in corel so i just downloaded the 30 day trial of photoshop XDD lol i cant wait any longer for my dad to get me the program XDDD lol
so this is the first out of many so enjoy!
i will probably post another one tomorrow or wednesday. depends how much time i have.

I've worked on it about... 10 hours? Yes, my eyes hurt terribly.

I do hope I get at least an honorable mention, because I the file size for this killed my Photoshop. It's all screwed up now. T-T

I did try to make it so that it could wrap around nice and evenly, but then I went a bit crazy with the fizzy bubbles in the background.

Concept sketched on printer paper. Not scanned in, because I was a genius and wanted to make my life harder. Everything done individually using Adobe Photoshop 7.0's pen tool. No outside resources other than the logo(s).

I hope I got all the requirements down. The terms page that they offered hurt my eyes (white font on a black background!?) and I got a terrible headache.

I don't know why, but I kept changing the colors on it and they always ended up being monochromatic for some reason. Maybe my mind didn't want to deal with color theory much?
If you have any suggestions as to the color, I'd love to hear them!.

Yes, I included Caspian and Averine. I just liked the way they looked in the layout.

This is my entry to the Design the Dew contest that Deviantart is currently hosting. I wanted to do something that was different than everything else so far, but still in the same vein. Of course, the idea of "graffiti" was a big element and I tried to tie that in.

I quite like how this turned out, but we'll see how it holds up against everybody else's. >.<

(And this is an incredibly small version of it. The photoshop file I have is gigantic, at 600 dpi. o_O)

Inked with Sakura pens on Bristol Board and then scanned in and colored in Photoshop. =3

My entry to the Design the Dew competition. Wish me luck! I worked long and heard on this piece. Done in Photoshop 7 with my Intuous tablet. If you look closely you can see little jokes I inserted (be them inside or otherwise ) Such as the tattoo of MD (Mountain Dew) on a couple of the girls. Actual size is 8.5 by 11 inches, per specs of the contest. It took like 5 minutes just to open the .psd file!!! But I am satisfied.

Hopefully at first glance it appears to be a sea of women. Then when you look closer you start to pick out the distinct forms of the individual women, and finally you can enjoy the individual tattoos. At least that's what I'm going for

I was very inspired to do something out of the ordinary when I saw this "Do the Dew!" contest. Featuring Zoe, my main demon girl throwing up a handful of my characters, yay. XD I did mountain dew colors..I LOVE the color of mountain dew..it's this crazy neon lime..but with more yellow...yeah.

I'm probably going to play around with this a little more..put the logo somewhere else. We'll see. (originally on her neck..hm..)

Sketched and inked by hand..then colored in photoshop.

An entry into the Design the Dew contest.

I drew inspiration from my Que series, feeling that it would lend really well into the Green Label design category. Thinking back about all the other Que's I had done, I felt that Falls would really fit the theme extremely well.

So, bearing in mind how Falls was done, I jumped on it and began working. This is the result. This is the second submission, being a second version of the original. The colour seems to work well, but I don't favor it as much.

Mountain Dew logo and Green Label logo are registered trademarks of Mountain Dew. Hooray copy-writing!

I have been working on this the entire month, the idea came to me right away, what better way to use the Mountain Dew logo then to make it the emphasis!

The sketch took a lot longer then the actual coloring, but I am very proud of the work I have done for this piece, and even if I don't win I still created something that took forever and I impressed myself with it!

Mountain Dew- Biohazard

My 4th submission into the Design the Dew contest.

This was a combination of 2 older pieces that I made, that I think came out pretty cool. The biohazard shape itself was of a fractal(wasn't at an angle, though), & the basics of the background was an ocean ripple to the max effect, & the other piece was something I made to give texture to other work, which I never ended up using until now.

In making this one, I ended up losing how I had done the logo & label because photoshop froze. I was able to screen capture what I had done & was able to use it as a somewhat guide for redoing it. I was for the most part successful, them being only a little off from what I originally did.

Here is my entry for "Design The Dew: Artist Collection".

I worked on it for 12 hours, nonstop. Well, kind of accidentally fell asleep for abit too. So here it is.

P.S.I thought it had to be all digitally made... So I made it on a cheap version of Adobe Photoshop 6. If this even gets votes, I think i'll see if I can make it more crisp with Adobe Illistrator. I tried a new style and everything in my image is all hand drawn. But the graffiti Text, was humbly given from my dear friend, SeraphHell. Original Size is 2550X3300 as wanted but I shrunk it down so people can see it.

Story & Plot: My image has a message and also a plot. When I was young, I heard that green plants and the sun reflect colors. So I made the rainbow into the Mountain Dew colors. The Sun/Moon comes in that part. The sun is reflecting colors into its own side, while the Moon's side is still black and white.

Why does the bottle have the word Inspire?:
Whenever you open a bottle of Mountain Dew, you get Inspiration to do more art and express what you taste. After all... This has to do with Art and Mountain Dew. Right?

The picture contains the world unrolling. Inside the world, the words, Discover. Dream. Uncover. Desire. Design. make a chain. I believe that the world runs on art and lives to express the many individuals. I'm sure you can relate those words and create a masterpiece with a thousand words.

The words, Express Your World, I thought it would be cool if it was to be published, that when people look at the bottle and think about expressing their own worlds like I did on this piece.

Anyone can Dew The Impossible. So why not start now?

I figured I do something for this. All I did was make and render four fractals in Apophysis 2.08 and combine them with opacity in Photoshop (and put the logo there, of course)! Am I a genius?

Download it even, I put alot of work into small details that I'm sure you can't see in the view here. I think you'll be suprised to find out what's all in there, along with just what's the logo composed of.

Anyways... I fully enjoy mountain dew if its as cold as possible without being froze. The colder it is the better, and same in vice.
Warm dew makes me sick... cold dew puts me in heaven. = D

So.. This is my entry for the contest,... in which chances are less than slim. Oh well, I've taken a vacation for commercial work to have fun and draw anime for a while, and I've been thinking it's time for me go back to work... this atleast was a nice kick.
