UPDATE: OMG! I'm a semi-finalist!! Anyone who's taken the time to click on this piece, I can't thank you enough. ^_^ Thank you to all of the watchers I have who gave me input on things! You know I always take your comments to heart. I'm so grateful I could burst!

My idea for this piece was to make something fun and unique. something that i enjoy making, not totally out of my comfort zone, but intricate enough to hold my interest. i've played the adidas video over and over and over... etc and what i got from it was a real respect for the camera man and a bunch of awesome ideas that i couldn't possibly have enough time to make....also the hunting of the awesome song.."Beggin" by Madcon!!! I say check it out peoples!!
If you've ever been in my gallery, you'll know that i LOVE color, the bolder the better. Seriously, I've given myself migraines with the colors I've worked with on specific projects. But all worth it... I love the randomness of a carousel horse and i hope you will too.

I started this a little more than a month ago, but just finished it yesterday. It's different from my usual stuff... I was going for a semi-realistic face and a pop art feel. I also used a brush I don't use often: the liquid ink brushes. It was a bit tricky to get used to at first, but got the hang of it near the end. Yay for Painter~ Fantastic brushes and so many of them too.

This is a resized image; the original is much, much bigger. O__O

I decided to give the Adidas contest a go! This is my very first Deviantart official contest entry.

I took the Adida's logo and spruced it up with lots of color and gave it the effect of dripping paint.

Having recently started a healthy lifestyle and losing 100 pounds I have a completely new found respect for athletic equipment, clothing, and shoes.

This is my contribution to the Adidas "Finger Painting" contest. I used my "touch pad" to do this entire work, forgoing a tablet.

Sure, the casual view of this will show you, this piece shows a creative expression of originality, celebration, and style. But where is the little three stripe logo?

To them I can only suggest look closer, because the piece is chock full of it, really I mean it!

I made a brush out of Adidas's logo and that was the only one I used, even for the signature at the bottom.

So where is it? The painting is only it, natch!

Well judging by all the other entries, I think this is the only submission that was ACTUALLY painted. All the others are corny computer modifications and what not but where is the art in that? True art comes from a brush or a pencil. Real art is on paper, not on a monitor.

I am 17, a high school junior, and have always loved art. I want a career in art. But today it is just so hard to get the push needed to go on to bigger and better things.

This is my opportunity to be someone. To make something worthy enough to be recognized by someone BIG! This Adidas finger painting contest is my chance to be able to get the push I need.

Please, look at my art, give me a chance. You can help to give a good future to a student. Thanks

Ok her is the first entry of the adidas contest. everything on here (except logo) is mine. i even made the custom brushes. ^^ so cool! i really like the fist!(it's my left hand!) all brushes are ether my hand or my fingers. so in essence it is finger painting! lol i figure they want finger painting why not show some thigs all of us normaly drew when we were young and finger painting was at an all time high? well? whatchu think? it said celebrate and finger painting. and COLORFUL!! WOO!!! lol Another thing is the background. it's a piece of paper i made one time. like really long ago. it was at this carnival thig. i don't remember how old i was.... like 5? i don't know, anyways i kept it (like i keep all my old things, i'm such a pac-rat) bucause i thought it was cool that i made it and her i get a really cool chance to use it!! WOO!! it'd rock if i won! i might put up more later! keep your eyes out for me! *winks*

Go adidas! This is my submition to the adidas finger painting contest. I had sooooo much fun with this.

How I made:

1.)I laid down 20 sheets of computer paper and taped them together.
2.)I looked at it and thought it was too thin, so I put another twenty sheets of paper on top.
3.)I cut up some plastic bags, and put them around my giganto canvas.
4.)I sketched out the five big splatters(yes there are five) and hand painted them.
5.)After I hand painted the splatters, I took a tooth brush and sprayed some paint around them, to give it a more spray painted look.
6.) I HAD FUN! I splattered and sprayed so much paint on it, it wasn't even funny(yes it was^^) I also followed the theme of the contest by getting my hands dirty. I grabbed some black paint and put a finger print border around it. Then I finger painted the adidas name on it.
7.)I glued down all the frayed edges(remember this is not one big sheet of paper)

Time lapse: 3 days =3

Why did I tell you my steps and what's on it? Because my picture taking skills suck, so you can't see everything...Oh! One more thing. This picture is almost as tall as me(I'm 5'6'' ) so... yeah. Just so ya know.

I may have taken the name of the contest too literal for this first entry. While the contest may say fingerpainting you really aren't limited to medium or technique. This first entry was created on my iPod Touch using the Brushes App so in essence I really did paint those drops of paint with my finger.

I doubt this will be my last entry in this contest. It was just the first idea that came to my head when I read the title of the contest.

This is one of my entries to the Adidas Finger painting Contest. It's a Hippo-ish beast spewing Adidas confetti into the air, and forming a large light show in the sky. I hand drew the hippo and machine, and did all the rest in photoshop. Created custom Adidas brush and whatnot. It's pretty coo!

The original, acrylic on canvas, is SO loud in terms of brightness. The yellows and reds really pop!

But everyone was doing digital stuff.. and isn't the theme 'finger painting'?? Well, this certainly was! Used my hands more than the brush.
