Another 100% Inside colouring fractal. No Outside colouring algorithms used.

That's the first outcome I can really say I'm proud of... well, very immodestly, that is. I wanted this to look like a clear sky bathed in light, and yes, I think I made it somehow.
I've been doing lots of experiments on how to recreate watercolour effects and canvas paintings in UF, and this contest gave me the chance to understand that my best bet might just lie in fractal insides. Thank you, Best of Both Worlds!

Taking inspiration from the tutorial, I decided to explore inside colourings and eventually found a formula that's just perfect for about everything outside colourings usually do. You'd think this fractal has some OCA of sorts, but it's actually 100% Inside colouring. No kidding!

This fractal is made with #Apophysis 7x15
Based on ~IDeviant Pythagoras Tree tutorial.
And this is my entry for the Best of Both Worlds Fractal

So technically :
This flame is a multishape flame made mainly with xaos combos.
First for the "hexagon" tilling, this is made with nGon / pre_blur.

Secondly : For the trees it's pytagoras tree shape made with cylinder / pre_blur + linked pie.

Then the background : It's made with xaos bubble link with stripes.
I've move them a little off center to create "a depth effect" which is improve by the coloring.

The gradient, in fact I don't really remember if it's one of fiery-fire's or one of mine

To finish, i've render it with Chaotica

The title means more to me than you could probably imagine. Some months ago, an atomic bomb was dropped on my life. It exploded, burned and devastated everything in sight in an unbearable amount of pain. When the mushroom cloud subsided, nothing was left but a suffocating silence.

Made in Apophysis 7X v15 (by ) and postwork done in PhotoPlus X4. There is more than my usual amount of postwork on this, which is usually just levels and sharpness. I used a bit of smudge to get rid of some extraneous smoky swirls around the tree trunk and to blend some of the crackle that was showing up a little in the trunk. I hope you like the result!

I am inspired by two major things in life. My music and my love for documentaries. A week ago I watched a documentary on Minoan Ancient Society and fell in love with the art that was portrayed. The shapes and colors of this Mediterranean culture was just awe inspiring!

I wanted to reproduce said art only with a worn and languished feeling. Like the salt in the air had worn away the beauty of the paint and the detail of the lines. I hope I captured what I was after.
