**This is not fluttershy - It's not fluttershy inspired either. I drew it before I even started watching the show. So please avoid those comments, and also don't send requests to submit it to My Little Pony groups xD lol

The colors came together this way because that's what looked best to me against the blue and with the colors I wanted to add into the water
And the imagery doesn't even make sense for fluttershy anyway

She was a fish who found this cosmic plug, and was granted her wish to become human~
Since the plug is pulled, the cosmic flow has been disrupted, so you have things like water flowing all around and fish swimming in and out of water as they please.

I think she was a yellow fish with stripes, so I tried to reflect that a bit with her clothing.
Unless I can come up with something more unique, her name will be Sakana because it's fitting and sounds cute :3

Overall this is finished, but I may continue to make some minor adjustments here and there...
It's just altogether a crazy picture~ I took the opportunity to try drawing lots of fish, since I can't remember ever having drawn fish before.

Anyway, hope you find something that you might like about it~ 8D Thanks for looking!

My latest, but not my last, still life from Angel Academy!
Oil on canvas, about 50x55 cm.

Like in the previous still life, I used the sight-size method here to get the proportions, relations and sizes of the objects drawn correctly in the earliest stage.
After this drawing stage, dark shapes are blocked in. Only then are colors blocked in - very simple, flat colors at first. Then each object is refined and detailed and brought to a finish.

No perishables this time, so I had no worries about anything rotting or spoiling! (Those flowers are fake)

And yes, the skull is fake too (made of plaster)

Decided it was time for me to attempt a re-paint of my most viewed artwork. It's been about ..5 or 6 years, so I hope there has been an improvement. It took about ten hours fewer then the first try XD

After this drawing stage, dark shapes are blocked in. Only then are colors blocked in - very simple, flat colors at first. Then each object is refined and detailed and brought to a finish. We start with the fruit (or whatever perishables we're using), since they, well, rot really quickly XD
This is why some fruit is missing from the WIP photo. We sometimes have to replace things that get squishy and moldy, but I try to finish them really quickly so that I can still eat them afterwards. So far, successfully: I had to throw away just one orange.

The white cloth is my pillow case (No worries, I had another one to sleep on). I wanted something white, and I'm too lazy to buy a nice lacy tablecloth at the market, you see.
(And who knows how many poor Chinese immigrants are getting exploited, working under inhumane conditions in the textile industry in Prato °__° I'm not buying pretty, cheap clothes in the Chinese stores in Florence anymore.)

The pretty glass is courtesy of my landlady, Vanda (grazie mille!)

Another figure painting from Angel Academy, done from life. In the class of "Maestro", we use a different style/method pretty much everytime time, and I love it.

Size is about 110x60 cm. Took several days to paint.
I used Winsor&Newton oil paints, and some by Old Holland.

I can't believe it! Just came back home from Italy to my parents' place in Germany, and there is my mom baking cookies! Berliner Brot, something between a biscotti and a brownie, and they're quite good. Even more so because she rarely ever bakes. Ah, the wonderful Christmastime!

(... that's what I see when I look at it, after staring at and drawing this hand for at least 50 hours X_X)

This is my first finished cast drawing done at Angel Academy of Art, Florence.
It's not "art" per se, but an exercise in drawing; and the point of this exercise was to copy the plaster cast of a hand as closely as possible in order to learn how to see. And the better an artist can see, the easier it will be for them to interpret (not copy) a subject later, in their very own manner and style; and that's what I'm aiming for.

Medium: Nitram charcoal in B, HB and H; on Umbria paper. Also: Kneaded eraser, stomps and soft brushes.

Especially the background was a real pain in the rear end! X_X

You slip the soft purple deerskin case from the bag. Inside you feel the lightweight traveling size book. It is neatly wrapped in the waterproof leather. It is held closed with a stunning amethyst clasp with a silver unicorn buckle. Loosening the buckle, you allow the case to fall from the beautiful book.

The book is a fine and well-crafted. Bound in gleaming white leather and adorned with a silver unicorn on the cover, it displays the script "Tirael Nimara" in the delicate script of the elves. You softly open the book, inside, you see the perfect, measured writing of a trained hand. Soon, you begin to read.......

Light. Blindness. Soon, the light spreads its wings from my sight and I find myself in strange yet beautiful surroundings. I am pale and nude, wavering in a moonlight path, open only on one end. I feel as though I am only a simple observer in my own body. To either side of the path, lies thick tangled bramble and huge darkened trees. Farther down the wandering path is a large open area filled with pale moonlight which is guarded by a unicorn archway.

On either side of the opening rear two unicorn stallions crafted of white marble. They have delicately crafted marble wings lifted and spread to make an archway into the glade. Their alicorns are crossed and are balancing a pentagram between the horns points. I feel so safe and serene that I am aghast with joy.

I pass under the shelter of the unicorns arch. Inside the magnificent glade I gasp in joy. Ethereal light, pale and multihued, dances in the huge spreading treetops above. The sound of tumbling water tickles my ears. I smell the joyous scent of flowers. I know despite my nudity, I can feel no vulnerability in this place. There are motes of light in all different colors, lights and shades that dart and dance within my reach. Purple, blue, black and red flowers of all hues glow from the ground, bushes and trees.

The peacefulness of this realm permeates me. I walk over to the tumbling water fall. I see it is pouring into a clear, sparkling lake. The bushes are laden with many colored flowers that hug the sides of the water. Lichen and mosses drip from the overhanging tress and willows, their trailings dancing long the surface of water.

Inside the water, tiny multicolored fish, frogs, lizards and fairies dart for deeper water. The water ripples to the other side. A flash of light draws my attention. I stare in awe as I see a shimmering white unicorn walk from the brush. She doesnt seem to acknowledge me. She walks into the water, her body moving into the lake. She stops. She lowers the shining horn into the water and it begins to ripple as silver streaks stream from her horn.

It is a great mare with a flowing silver-blue mane, glistening violet horn and sharp cloven hooves. She was more beautiful than any other horse I had ever seen. From her back were shining iridescent wings. Each feather looked like spun silver, it was so delicate and perfect. It was wonderful. I was so happy! Then she approached me. It moved its wings over my back, hugging me. It was so splendid! Then it told me that I would always be one with Unicorn.

Then the unicorn lowered her sharp horn to my heart and she pressed the sparkling shaft to me. I felt the most powerful energy flow into me. I gasped in pleasure as the power coursed and doubled into my body. I could barely maintain my balance. Suddenly, the unicorn took a step back.

Then she rose a little, drawing the alicorn to my forehead. I gasped at the exquisite rippling of pleasure bursting within. Then she drew herself back. Spiraling from where my forehead was touched by her horn, my own horn grew in response!!! I was shocked and could do no more than stand there still as a statue. Suddenly the unicorn flared out her wings and the tips of her feathers tingled along my back. My spine flared with energy. She moved her wings away from my back. Pleasure streamed from me as my own feathers were following his! I had wings!! Oh my Unicorn!

She then took a step back. I was in shock! Here I stood with my own shining white-violet horn. My own wings spread out beside me! It was so amazing. Then the unicorn looked down at me. She softly said I am with you. You can always call upon me and my allies for help and guidance. You should always look to us for help. The unicorn took a step back and she trumpeted a great whinny that echoed for miles.

From all areas I saw a menagerie of horses, unicorns, deer, elk, dogs, cats, pegasi and more animals than I could possibly name or know. The area was filled with their energy. A glowing blue light filled the area and I knewfor oncethat the blessings of the unicorn were with me.

When I awoke I still felt the power of the animals surging within me. I know that the Unicorn was blessing me because of the crystalline, milky violet horn on my forehead and the tumbling white hair. My hair had quite literally turned white!

Art Creation Notes:
Year Completed: 2009 (Pencil sketch done in 2006)
Time it Took: Pencil took several hours, I think three or four devoted hours then a few scattered throughout.
Medium: Pencil
Original Size: 8x10Inches (YES IT IS VERY SMALL, I regret this, because the unicorn and moon dominate the entire piece of paper. As it was, It was a lot of detail for so small an area. And Abathia, as a unicorn, was not made to regret, so she doesn't mind the small format *hehe, dorky Last Unicorn joke*)

Notes: I wanted a good picture for a role playing game god. I use her in D&D.

OK. So, this is a colored version of [link] that has been completed. Hehe. You know, I only sign a piece I feel is completely and utterly finished. This piece was laying around unsigned for years. I knew I wanted to do the back wing, but I never throught I was ready. My coloring skills have pretty much been to build up to this one.

Drawn in pencil, here is the WIP Pencil sketch: [link] and I then colored it in prismacolor marker and pencil. The markers gave a really soft watercolored effect and the pencil really makes the picture "pop" I got the purplish prismatic color by layering colors then going over the whole thing with a white colored pencil. No marker was used on Abathia herself, only on the background.

Edit Entry 4-26-2012: I decided to go back and add a little more shading in certain spots.

This is the Epic Dragon colored. I used 1.0 mm and 1.6 mm ball point pens. At first the colors seemed weird but then they grew on me. I just thought a time spirit dragon should be colorful.

"Three Thousand Threads of Trouble"
The inspiration comes from a Chinese phrase, which is originally from Buddhism - "三千烦恼丝"/"叁仟煩惱絲" - which meaning "three thousand threads of trouble", refering to hair. That's why monks cut off their hair, because they need to seperate themselves from the troubles they have in the human society (excuse me if there's any mistake but that's how I got it anyway.)

I thought, where does trouble come from? It actually doesn't come from anywhere else other than our own mind. If we could cut it off, it could just be gone - but it's ourselves who decide to keep them in, we made a nest for them because there's something related to the trouble that we simply can't give up.

Just like her hair, it's keeping all the trouble, they scream at her head all the time, but she just can't give up her hair - even though it troubled her so much that her hair have all turned white.

No pain no gain I guess. Oh and baby birds are SO CREEPY that I thought they are perfect acting as "trouble" and baby themselves too....XD what's more troublesome than a baby? seriously? XD

Anyway, hope you enjoy the painting!

This is an oil painting of my sister with her violin. This piece was really a challenge for me given that I was aiming for a more impressionist feel.
I really consider this piece a new milestone on my journey through art. I know the media... now I need to learn how to bend it to my will.

My opinion of the savage is faltering, lately I've been burning through some wh30k books, and currently im on Thousand Sons.
Must say, that I rather respect Magnus more.
For Wolves are the best in the field of slaying, and just that, they are an unstoppable genocidal machine but I rather prefer the Thousand Sons. For their search of knowledge suits me more then pure close minded genocide.

This is a character of *Wilwari's and my story: Travina Delazar. She's a damsel in distress trapped in Vinsalt's vampire society. All her loved ones are monsters but she doesn't know about the truth. Poor girl.

I'm planning on doing more character portraits because it's fun and I want to improve on faces.

I used various references of chicks to get the proportions right but nothing in particular.

No references are used and head of one of horses is cut just to give feeling that there are alot of horses in front of this group of racers. Also, i hope this black horses just fit the HARAE rule about "random black horses without markings"

Digital painting. I actually did this 3 months ago, but I wasn't really satisfied. So now there's this big opportunity called contest, I had to go back on this piece and improved it. The prizes are cool! I never really had a real proper training (and I badly need to work on my anatomy skills) so I'm entering Wish me luck and everyone who's entering!

Violet Thunderbolt was not touched by crowds loud noises and flashing of lights, but it seemed that Ervin did. Rider got quite nervous under such a pressure. He almost could not sleep last night and now it did not get any better. Young man knew that he must get all his emotions and nerves under tight control, but it was easier to say then to get it done. Especially, if you know, that your brilliant mount, who brought you so far is going to turn into a missile, just after the start bell`s toll.

Steed was well aware about his rider condition. Oh well, people are so strange some times. Why they think they can`t do good in front of other people or in some new place as neat as they do that it by their own? Come on, boy, let`s have some fun!
Horse just turned his head on rider, looking at him very calmly and with out any nerves. For such a jest Thunder got some patting on the neck. But horse thought that it is man, not him is in need of some calming pat.
Stallion tossed his head and whinnied loudly, in full voice giving some prance, just to make his human awake from nervous thoughts and to cheer him up a bit.
Ervin did not get any calmer of such a performance, but he did get concentrated on his horse, not on all thoughts and surroundings.
We will make it good and smoothly, boy Leery patted his horse on neck and got reins tighter, pushing stallion into light canter around arena. There was not so much space and Thunder`s habit to transform into a train, speeding without any breaks, could turn into a real problem this time.
But if you are prepared you`re already armed in someway.
Bell sounded loudly and team crossed the starting line, taking off for some really wild ride with Thunder`s crazy speed and sharp turns on the very edge.
