I came up with this idea because everyone seemed to be creating Platform like games and I wanted to be different (like always) so I created an isometric war game. I tried to get it looking like an old Super Nintendo and Amiga game... I think I succeeded, and if you have played a significant amount of games on these platforms then I would think that you know where I am coming from.

Total of 30 colours was used
Created in Photoshop 7
Resolution: 320*240
Time Span: Created in about one week.

If you were wondering what the menu icons mean, then here is what they are:

Top Left:
Map
Numbers represent: Gold, Minerals and Gas.

Top Right:
Time

Bottom Right (Menu):
Build Units
Build Buildings
Move Units

Middle Bottom (Menu Selections):
(From right to left starting to the left of the jeep)
Move Unit (O with arrow)
Attack Unit (Target)
Guard moving back and forth (S type Arrows)
Stop (Hand with S)
Guard standing still (binoculars)
Scrolling Arrows

Bottom Left:
War Tank = current unit selected (as noticed on the screen)
Jeep = current unit being built (progress bar above jeep picture)

[edit] I made the bottom control bar more defined; now it is a lot easier to recognise and doesn’t blend in so much with the rest of the picture. This is something I had wanted to do from the start but never got around to it until I realised once I finally uploaded the picture.
I also added the blood colour, so there are now 26 Colours not 25, because the blood looked pinkish and not red.

[edit]
Another edit, this time I have taken in some advice and added shading to the cliffs in the back and around the water. I also actually edited the fire, even though I thought it looked alright, I edited it more and now it looks a little better. due to these edits the picture now uses 30 colours.

This is my entry for the Dodge Dart Inspired By You Contest. I used one of the photo's provided by the contest. I edited it so that it looks like a remote. Wouldn't it be nice to drive your car with such a remote?

So, the Dodge Dart RC is (semi) automatic and comes with the following features:

- The left controldisk starts the car when pressed. When turned clockwise, it speeds up the car. When turned counterclockwise it lets the car break. In between the car wil neiter break nor accelerate. It only brakes on the engine.

- the right controldisk controls the steering by turning it. I sounds the horn when pressed.

- The middle control disk is positioned lower than the first two. It changes the gear: low gear to high when rotated clockwise. When pressed, it will be set to Neutral.

- There are 2 buttons on the left bottom side of the remote:
* The left button is the cruise control. It locks the acceleration disk, which would go back to the default position if the cruise control was off.
* The right button is the reverse. This will put the car into reverse and will cause the remote to ignore the geardisk settings.

- In the middle on the top side there are also 2 buttons:
* The left button (de)activates the ESP
* The right button (de)activates the warning lights.

- On the right bottom side there are 2 buttons too:
* The left one makes the car shift gear automatically at high rpm's, for quick acceleration.
* The right one makes the car shift gear automatically at low rpm's, for more traction in the winter.
* When neither is on, the car wil shift gear automatically at medium rpm's, for normal use.
* When both are on, the car will only shift gear manually with the middle control disk.

- On the left and right side of the middle control disk are buttons with arrow icons. When pressed, the turn signal will activate (left button for the left turn signal and right button for the right turn signal) and when pressed again the turn signal wil deactivate.
