This is 's completed commission of a climbing wolf with a trail of ferret paw prints behind it.

I do apologize for the obnoxious watermarks but they have been put in place to help cut down on the prolific theft of my artwork as well as to protect the commissioned art that was designed for my clients' use. It is an intensely frustrating thing seeing a design you worked so hard to create being reposted or even sold elsewhere without your knowledge or consent and that does not even begin to cover how my clients feel about it. And that is why the watermarks exist and are going to remain. Any snarky comments regarding them will be marked as spam.

So, for those of you who don't know, I'm in a watercolor course this semester. And it's about the first time I can recall touching watercolors since first grade. XD Me and watercolors don't exactly see eye to eye, but I figured it would be good to take a class to strengthen a weak spot of mine. I'm not good with working as loose and general as what watercolor calls for (I'm so used to digital/oil/acrylic/dry media where everything is super precise and tight). But I'm actually doing pretty well in the class! Both of the full paintings I've done so far have been put up in the student gallery for display, which is sweet. But right now we're doing an "artist emulation" project (basically a master copy with a few more steps involved) and I decided to pick a water colorist that I'm quite fond of: Hayao Miyazaki! ^^ I chose him partly because I thought his loose, rough style would be a good way to force myself to paint more loosely as well, and partly because he was the only water colorist I could think of who does something relatively similar to what I do. XD

So yeah, this actually isn't my real piece. The real image to is too large to scan and I was too lazy to photograph it. This is actually the miniature study I did before doing the real painting (that's why the lettering on the signpost is just scribbles. lol!). This one is about 7X5 inches in real life, while the final painting is about, eh, 16X12. Since it's basically the (larger than average)thumbnail study, it's not as refined as the larger image, but I dunno- I think there's something kind of charming about the smaller study. So I decided to go ahead and upload it. Plus, I thought you guys might like to see something from the class that has essentially been consuming my life for the past four weeks. I'd show you my personal paintings that I've done in the class, but I don't actually have them right now. Maybe when I get them back I'll take a photo or two. So for now, enjoy some cute little Totoro art! ^^
P.S. The yellow's not so vivid in the real image, but my scanner likes to play tricks and I didn't feel like taking all the time to adjust the yellow. Laaaaaaaaazy Turtle.

Primarily made for my girl ~LovesRizz to put on her apartment wall, but also to regain my confidence again in my art and what I can and can't do. See before I made "one life" there was this person (who shall remain unnamed) on here who was full of hatred towards me and my art, so much so they started to post things that were untrue. When I blocked one account, they came back on another and another and another just to post their hate filled comments. I've not always been nice to people on here over the years, but never has it escalated to something that dire, never has someone come back some 2 years later to harass me more after the initial harassment on their primary account. So much for moving on... Anyway; it rattled me, enough to question whether or not I ever wanted to do art ever again. It's supposed to be my happy place.... this is a confidence piece, a regain of my strengths and a highlight of my weaknesses to work on in the future. So I'll...um...just leave this here...

There is no excuse for this, except my intense freaking out during the wait for the Doctor Who season finale this weekend! ^__^;;; Had to paint something to relieve the stress before I imploded. I love Eleven to death (augh) and never, ever intended this, nor do I ever want to see it happen (and hopefully it won't for a few more years yet), but it just sort of...threw itself onto the canvas and now I feel better.

so this was one of the requests I got for, and it was fun to write. I had a lot of ideas for this, because I myself have been bullied really heavily in the past. (but not physically bullied, like reader is) I did a group of bullies instead of just one because it would show bullies from all of the schools, the taller one and the one that tripped reader from highschool, the one chasing after reader from middle school and the other unmentioned one from elementary.
