I cut down unused icon from previous set, and only the essential remain in this icon set.(I hope) The icon size is up to 256x256, which is support by next gen operating system like Windows Vista or Mac OS X.

For XP user, the largest icon size is only 48px.

Custom Rainbow Dash folder icon

This icon will make your desktop 20 percent cooler, I promise. Make sure to check my gallery if you want more icons.

Icon changing mini tutorial:

First of all, save the .png file to your computer.

Then use this: [link] website to convert the .png image into a .ico file. Windows icons use the .ico format, so this step is 100% necessary. When asked for the size check all the boxes.

Once you do that, go to the folder you want to customize and make sure you aren't in library view by right clicking and clicking the "open folder location" option.

If there is not an "open folder location" option, then you are not in library view and can just skip that part.

Right click the folder and go to "properties" and click the "customize" tab. Then click "change icon" and then "browse" and find the location that you saved your .ico file. Select the .ico and hit ok.

My Little Pony Icons, Win+OSX

Icons for the six main cast members of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic. I was going for a bit of an "Adobe"/simplified feel to them, while still retaining enough features to make the character recognizable. I'm happy with how they've turned out so far.

UPDATE #1: I've added icons for Spike, Princess Celestia, Apple Bloom, Scootaloo, and Sweetie Belle to the initial batch. That covers every character listed in the end credits.

UPDATE #2: By popular demand, I've added Derpy. Keeping the eyes is a bit of a deviation from my established theme, but how can she be Derpy without her eyes, lol, right? I've also added [The Great & Powerful] Trixie.

UPDATE #3: Added Princess Luna, Big Macintosh and Vinyl Scratch (aka DJ P0n-3).

UPDATE #4: Added Lyra & Bon-Bon, everyone's favourite odd-couple.

UPDATE #5: Added Gilda the Gryphon and Doctor Whooves (with a blue sonic screwdriver rather than green, 'cuz if I had to give up Tennant I'm sure as hell not giving up the ponified Tennant ).

The new ZIP archive is basically the same as before; the Windows icons are together in an archive file and the OSX versions are individual files. I didn't think they'd get such a positive response when I first posted them, but since they have I've included the 256x256 PNGs in a seperate folder in the ZIP file for any Windows XP or below users who may want to make use of these.

Sorry for the delay with these most recent additions; I've been busy with stuff IRL and doing other vectors to post on here. I'm still hoping to add more icons to this series, though.

➔ Repost of my 'In Spirited We Love' Icon set (2008) That somehow got deleted by dA yesterday. dA sent a note, tell me that my deviation(this icon) is violate the policy...

But which one? At least tell me dA.

☎ Though I think why it got deleted is there are some user complain about 'virus' when they download this icon set, but to be clear I check it everytime I got complained and never found a thing.

and to make sure, I scan this files many times already, with
- Microsoft Security Essential
- Avast!
- and Avira

all updated and latest version. and found nothing, not a single speck of virus.

UPDATE:

Big thanks to Leo of IconArchive.com to find the source of this virus problem. It turns out that Avast! found that one of my icon file have 'bytes' that looks like one of trojan horse, so it flag it.

Well, in short, this file and all of my file don't contain any malicious things, ever. and I have upload the update version, so anyone who have problem with downloading and Avast! block it, please try it again, I'm sure it'll work flawlessly now!

Red Little Shoes Icon set

_{According to some popularity in my handmade iconset 'Natsu' [link] . I decided to made this new icon set 'Red Little Shoes'

I redesign almost every icon to improved the usability. All icons painted with my good ol' brush and watercolor.

There are two folder style 'Omelette'(The yellow one) and 'Red Folder', which is actually design for released as Mac OSX icon. But I think that Windows user can adapt them to suit their needs.

_{I got request from some people, that they want to use this icon set on their hobby-indie rpg-game.

Hi there

This is my submission for Gaia12 project (gaian.me) , the art project the aim to celebrate the beauty of nature.

At first I create the icons using vector art in Illustrator, but then found that my icon at that time doesn't relate to nature at all, it look too pure DIGITIAL.

I decide to scrapped everything and made a new one.
and This icon set above is the result.

I try to create these icons using the most natural way possible, or at least - LESS DIGITAL possible. I sketch on paper, paint with watercolor. Though I still have to use Photoshop to turn them into proper icon.

What this icon set have:

Pixel not Perfect icons for general use on your PC.
Unscalable, future not proof, But at-this-moment proof, so feel free to use them.
Not Hyperrealistic
No smooth gradient
Confusing icon perspective
Bland, mild, dull color, no eye cathing color, not follow good color theory
Asymetrical, Organic, Life, Imperfection.

I would like this icon set to serve as inspiration for people to spend more time with nature, less screen time,

even just looking out of the window is an great achievement!

Usage Right:

Feel free to use these icons as you like in any of your project, commercial or not. Some credit mention me somewhere is appreciated.

How the Super Mario Icons came to be

It all started back in January 2008, when I submitted a desktop picture in which a couple of Mario themed icons were shown. I had never intended to release them, but the people voiced their opinion: they wanted the icons, or else!

I knew immediately what I had to do, but I wasnt going to release a pack with only a handful of icons, nor would I be releasing something that I hadnt done myself, of course.

So, I got my hands dirty: in March 2008, I painted fifteen icons, packed them in a pretty compressed file and voilá, the Super Mario Icons pack was born.

Ever since that grand day, Ive been updating the pack with more and more icons. Eventually, I plan to have millions of them included!

Mini-FAQ

Whats in the download file?
The file contains 130 high-resolution Windows ICO files, Mac ICNS files and 256×256 PNG files, plus the obligatory Read Me file, which includes a detailed update history.

How do I put your awesome icons to use?
Its funny you should ask. Click here if you're a Windows user, and all your questions shall be answered. If you're on a Mac, I'm sorry, but I have no idea how it works...

Are the icons official artwork?
No. My intention was to make them look indistinguishable from the real deal, and Im pretty happy with the results.

How often do you update the icon pack?
As often as I can. You can probably see by the update history that the updates have become less and less frequent. Unfortunately, as my free time gets eaten by school and work, I tend to spend all that is left on original projects rather than this one, but rest assured there are updates in the works!

Can you make a [insert character or item you want done here] icon?
If it fits into the Mario universe, sure I can. Just drop a comment or an email and Ill add it to the to-do list. I cant promise Ill do it (some characters are just way to tricky or dont even have nice quality artwork for them), but I promise Ill try. If your request gets done, keep in mind that it will be included in the next pack update, rather than being added individually.

How can I thank you for the lovely icon pack?
You can thank me by spreading the word. Tell your friends about them; send them to your brother; add them to your favorites. If youre feeling chatty, feel free to add a comment, too! I love comments!

Can I use them on my project?
Sorry, but Im only allowing the use of the icons on personal-use pictures only. Id love to let you all use them in whatever you pleased, but regardless of the fact that I did paint the icons myself; all the characters and items depicted in them are still Nintendos property, not mine.

Updated on May 26, 2010: Apparently, the Boo icon file was making Avast cry like a little baby. Rest assured, that was a false positive! I've updated the pack with a new file that doesn't ring any alarms. Sorry for the inconvenience.

Updated on December 28, 2010: The Mac and Windows version of the icons are now found on one single pack. This makes it better for me to manage it. Also, the Super Mario Icons Extravaganza was announced!

Important note!

Once again, Avast is being a little bitch crying false positive over the Boo ICO file. This time, I can't seem to find a solution to the problem, but rest assured: there are no virus in the pack.

I've tested the file with other anti-virus software and, of course, none of them register anything wrong with that specific file or the whole pack.

I'll keep looking for solutions either way, and if you know of any way to fix this, please tell me.

10000 Cats Icon Set

I intend to create icon set that match my white&clean desktop and '10000 cats' is the answer.

These icons look good on BIG size or as dock icon, but look really pale in the small size, because (Yeah, I admit) I use too much pastel color at the same amount in each icon, so it's hard to see the different between each icons~! : (

I'll improve it inthe next icon set. _{(I'm just tried of pastel colour now lol)}

Soul Eater Desktop Icons

A set of nine (9) Soul Eater icons for your desktop. :3 It was a lot of fun making them. Screenshots are from the manga, colored in by me. All are .ico files for Windows. The images included are the souls for the three main meister and weapon groups, plus the group together (one icon with Maka and Soul together, one with Kid and Liz and Patti, etc.). Hope you like them. =3

Because I'm lazy, here's the directions from the Lucky Star icons. WOOO.

How to put them on your desktop:

1. Click the 'Download' button on the side of this screen to get them, and download the .zip folder.
2. Unzip the folder using an extracting program (I am fairly certain Windows comes with one, but if not, use Winzip for it).
3. Once the folder is unzipped, go to your desktop and right-click on the icon you want to change with a Soul Eater icon. Select 'Properties' from the drop-down list.
4. Hit the button that says 'Change Icon' on the Properties menu. Browse for where you saved the icons, and hit 'Save' and you're done! =3

To change the recycle bin or default icons like My Computer and My Documents is a bit different. You need to right-click on your desktop and select 'Personalization' (or Properties if you're not using Windows Vista) and select 'Change Icons' from there. It'll come up with a bunch of icons for you to change; change all that you want to Soul Eater icons, hit 'Save' and you're done.

The images were from scans of the manga, not made by me. The logo is from a screenshot from the anime.

Somehow Soul ended up larger than the rest... the obvious one would be Black Star. xD;;

Hello, DA!

Here's my first icon set ever. This is icon set that I made to use myself, because, well, I'm bore of sparkling, elegant and glassy icons.

I like art that have warm 'handmade" feeling, the non-perfection and non-symmetry. Therefore I create these icons with handmade drawing and traditional watercolour painting. So, this icon set is suited for people who love simply natural looking more than digital look.

The name "Natsu" is japanese word, means "Summer"

Work best with LARGE icon size (to see the "texture" of pencil and watercolour of course)

The Icon set composed of 43 icons, .ICO and also 256x256 PNG format.

Enjoy, Use them yourself or feel free to use it on girlfriends's or sister's computer!

Finally done a retro-inspired icon set!

Inspired by the 8bit graphics of the retro consoles of our childhood, namely the famous Nintendo's NES or Sega Megadrive, I wanted something... vintage and pixelized.
This icon set was very simple to create: a grid divided into squares, then fill them with the colors of your choice, and voilà! Easy as pie (and minimalistic)! Oh yeah! : D

This icon set is compatible with Windows and also with OS X, both corresponding versions are included into the package. Choose the corresponding version depending of your operating system!

As usual, feel free, and don't hesitate at all to share these icons with people that you really like, but please, please do not use these icons for ANY commercial purposes! : )

Custom Ene Folder Icon

Custom folder icon of Ene from Kagerou Project! I started this some weeks ago! Before starting college I think o.O I was too lazy to finish it! I thought it could be a good idea if you could customize you desktop or your folders with Ene trolling you around and feel like Shintaro XDD

So!

Instructions to customize the folders with this custom folder icon! that were taken from 's Custom MLP icon folders:

1. Save the .png file to your computer.

2. Use this: [link] website to convert the .png image into a .ico file. Windows icons use the .ico format, so this step is 100% necessary. When asked for the size check all the boxes.

3. Go to the folder you want to customize and make sure you aren't in library view by right clicking and clicking the "open folder location" option.

If there is not an "open folder location" option, then you are not in library view and can just skip that part.

4. Right click the folder and go to "properties" and click the "customize" tab. Then click "change icon" and then "browse" and find the location that you saved your .ico file. Select the .ico and hit ok.

Installing guide

Before using these icons
Put all icons you're going to use in a folder that is easy to find and where these icons can stay. You can, for instance, create a "icon" folder in "Pictures" where you place all these icons. A icon to a shortcut is only linked and if you move a icon from it's place, each shortcut that uses this icon must be re-linked.

Windows XP or earlier
There is a chance that these icons won't work as expected on these systems. In Vista, a icon can be up to 256x256 pixels whereas in XP, icons can only be a maximum of 32x32 pixels.
These icons can only replace shortcuts for programs/files. These shortcuts can be placed on to the desktop, in folders or in the Start Menu. Icons on the taskbar or on windows can't be changed.
To change system desktop icons like Recycle Bin and My Computer, right click on the desktop and choose "Properties", click the tap "Desktop", then choose "Customize Desktop...". In the new window, click on a icon and choose "Change icon...".

Windows Vista
These icons can only replace shortcuts for programs/files. These shortcuts can be placed on to the desktop, in folders or in the Start Menu. Icons on the taskbar or on windows can't be changed.

Changing an icon for a program in the Start Menu will change this icon in both the Start Menu and on the taskbar. (You can move all shortcuts from AppData too WinDir to aviod confusion and if you're the only user).

How to change an icon
To change a icon on a shortcut, right click on a shortcut and choose "Properties". In the new window choose "Change Icon...". In the new window, at the top, a button is labled "Browse...", click on that. Browse to the folder where you put these icons, and choose your icon. Then press "OK" on both windows and the shortcut should have the new icon.

Note: Due to other things going on in my life (work, cars, video games, hanging out with friends, etc), work on this project has essentially ceased.

The Super Turbo Tango Patcher is a mostly self-explanatory graphical wizard designed to make simple the process of modifying your system files with resources developed and inspired by the Tango Desktop Project. It currently includes implementations of the basic Tango icon set, the Tangerine icon set developed by the Ubuntu art team, the Industrial icon set from recent SUSE/Novell desktop Linux releases, and the Gnome icon theme, rounded out with various pieces of artwork created by myself and others. Additionally, it includes a reloader module to re-modify your files if they are overwritten, allowing system updates to be performed without breaking the theme. If you experience issues with the Patcher, please consult the included documentation.

It is designed to work on all language versions and editions of Windows XP and Server 2003. 64-bit versions of Windows are NOT supported.

As this is DeviantArt, your feedback, good or bad, will make this beast all the better. Many thanks to those who've volunteered opinions, chances are you either helped development along, or incremented by one my ego counter There are some icons that are not patched. I'm not going to throw together some random pixmap just to satisfy the look; I'd like to try to stay at least mostly metaphorically correct to the ideas of the original icon creators, the Gnome HIG, and so forth. Many things in Windows will not have counterparts in any Free/OSS environment, and I'm both lazy and busy, and so they will more than likely not be added to the patcher anytime soon.

Last update (2008/06/15): Split the applications portion out into a separate patcher, since it'll work just fine on Vista, and even X64 (providing you haven't gone and found special 64-bit versions of things), replaced my crappy WiMP icon with the icon from Totem, add comctl32.dll locations for SP3, work around the multiple-notepad.exe business in a better way, optionally extract source code to the patcher directory, added /bootsplash=[0=off|1=on] command-line parameter, and check for Vista and don't run on it.

Note that applications are no longer included in the "system" patcher - they have been moved into a separate package, available here.

If you receive a warning from your antivirus program about WFPdisable.exe, it is safe to ignore. Because of what the program does (disables WFP, which will complain about and attempt to undo changes system files), your AV software likely considers it dangerous. It's technically not a false positive per se, since it's correctly detecting what it is and acting appropriately, but WFP is re-enabled after a reboot, and it reduces the number of complaints from WFP dialogs (so I can't win - it's either complaints about WFP dialogs or complaints about antivirus detection.)

If you're using Windows Vista, you maybe be interested in STTP 6000.

Guess who made ~~a speedpaint, but a chunk of it got corrupt~~ a new customizable folder icon?

How to set this folder icon as your windows 7 folder:

First download this picture
Use this [link] convert ーthe .png image into a .ico file. Windows icons use the .ico format
→Pick size ''Original size''
→Export and name it as "iconname.ico"

EDIT= to anyone having trouble with the file conversion (if the site is down), please download the .ico file!

Then, Right click the folder and go to "properties" and click the "customize" tab then click "change icon" and then "browse" and find the location that you saved your .ico file. Select the .ico and hit ok

Then, you have your new folder icon!
*To keep this folder icon permanent, do not move the .ico file. To remove the folder icon, just drag the .ico file to a different directory.

Custom Pinkie Pie folder icon

A custom folder icon that I shopped up a while ago.

Icon changing mini tutorial:

First of all, save the .png file to your computer.

Then use this: [link] website to convert the .png image into a .ico file. Windows icons use the .ico format, so this step is 100% necessary. When asked for the size check all the boxes.

Once you do that, go to the folder you want to customize and make sure you aren't in library view by right clicking and clicking the "open folder location" option.

If there is not an "open folder location" option, then you are not in library view and can just skip that part.

Right click the folder and go to "properties" and click the "customize" tab. Then click "change icon" and then "browse" and find the location that you saved your .ico file. Select the .ico and hit ok.

For Macs (by Karasu-no-Yami):

1. Right click on the folder you want to change and click "Get Info"
2. Copy the image you want to use as the folder image(right click the click "Copy Image")
3. Click on the folder icon in the "Get Info" window.
4. Click the "Edit" menu then choose paste.

Firefox Versus IE: The Icon

I felt my support of Firefox over IE needed a visible sign... so I made this from an image I got off the net! I don't take credit for the actual artwork, just for the iconification of it.

I am amazed at the response this has recieved. Almost 2000 hits now, and more than 2000 downloads, don't ask me how I can have more downloads than hits, but I do.

Due to requests from Phalanx's Theme 'Systematrix,' I decided to create more icons for the Computer itself, rather than just our chat client.

28 Icons in all. Vista Ready. XP Ready. 16x16 all the way to 256x256 in size. For all request purposes, feel free to send a note, and I may add more programs/games that people want icons for in this style. If that's the case, I'll update this deviation, and the user can download the new .zip.

My 12th Icon set! MODEEEERN

This icon set was create several months ago for Iconblock[link] . I postpone it from submit to deviantART because I want to redesign them,

but as you can guess, I left them untouched! (So it's good idea to just release it)

The concept of this icon set pop into my head when I was in the Art History Class (studied about Modern art movement, Bauhaus, and PostModern art, etc) and I was impressed by them. So I decide to create a super unique icon set.

These icons may look like some vibrant color patched up together, but they actually got designed, for example, Photo icon is a round shape within another round shape that refer to Camera's Aperture.

My 8th icon set!!! HOYA IMPERIAL inspired by Thai art and something abstract!

Note: I think my work are quite serious lately, being a so-called ' professional' take the fun away when create art, because I have to pay attention to every details to make it looks perfect. (ok, that maybe a must-have requirement for stuff like OS icon. So I think I can't complain.)

I miss my usual nostalgic, simple & calm illustration A LOT, so I promise that they will return in my next work.^^

Hetalia Desktop Icons

I learned how to make desktop icons tonight so I made some Hetalia ones for kicks. I'll probably never draw anything for this series, but it seems to be the hip thing nowadays and the little chibis lend themselves to icons I didn't draw these by the way, I used official art by Hidekaz Himaruya. And no, not every nation is here because I couldn't find pictures of them all.

To change your icon on a PC you have to right click on the icon you want to change and click "Properties" click "Customize" and click "Change Icon", then find where you saved these and pick one. I'm not sure now on a Mac...

Full set of 32x32 and 48x48 included. Download the .zip file on the right and enjoy! PASTA!!!!

The autumn is back, rainy days, falling leaves...
An unique atmosphere. Isn't it?

My 4th icon set, and also my very first digital painting experiment with a tablet and Paintool SAI, is finally here! Yay!

I'm currently learning how to work with these digital tools, so I decided to release this little icon set, which was formerly a personal project.
I think I really need to improve my techniques a lot, especially about the shading, the painting effect, the shapes and trying to find a more personal style.

Oh! I would note that this icon set is compatible with Windows XP/Vista/7 and Mac OS X, both corresponding versions are included.

Feel free, and don't hesitate to share these icons with people that you really like, but please do not use these icons for ANY commercial purposes! ♥

Pony Icon Set 5

That's right people, the final installment of pony icons has arrived.

In total, there are exactly ONE HUNDRED pony icons.

It's utterly insane. I never expected a tiny seven icon set to reach these proportions.

Some of you, understandably, will be disappointed your suggestions didn't get in. Never fear! I'll constantly be making icons to request, only you'll have to track down the original icon for me. Preferably in 256x256 pixels.

I've uploaded this as a zip so even you Mac OS users can now enjoy the icon pack!

Icons listed in the preview are ordered alphabetically, and by appearance in the preview.
