My interpretation of... "The Female Maxi?" Let's go with that.
Anyways, one day, about a year~year-and-a-half ago, I was on the Soul Calibur Wiki on Maxi's page and I get to the Trivia section and one says Maxi was accidentally listed as female in the... PAL?... version of Soul Calibur II. My interest was piqued. "What would a female Maxi look like?"
At that time, I had Soul Calibur IV, I made her based of the the color palettes of Maxi's costumes in that game. The result was... okay, but I wanted to do better.
Soul Calibur V comes along and I start bringing character from IV over and updating them. At one point, I see Maxi (that's what I called her). At this time, I had downloaded all the DLC save for the song from I and IV, and I thought "I can do better." I go back to SCIV's Maxi and write down his colors from all three and head to V.
This was the final product and being the customization whore that I am, I was proud. I go to Input Name and I stop. I don't want to name this Maxi and I'm sure as hell not naming her Maxine. So I put ???? and head over to BabyNamesCountry where I get all (well, most) of my character names.
I start by looking up Maxi, a form of Maximilian that means "greatest." Okay, on with search. Eventually, while searching through "ends with i" in the M's, I come across the name Mei which means "beautiful" in Chinese. "Nice name. I wonder if there are other versions?" Search "Mei." In the list, Mei-Hua, Chinese, "beautiful flower." I had found the perfect name for her. ]]> ~Female
