installation:
vlc installs a skins directory inside the applications primary root directory. copy the vlt file into the skins directory, the set vlc to skin mode and apply the skin. ]]> i added a second skin that has no fullscreen controller at all. if you have issues with the fullscreen controller always showing you can use this.

Well ive added the other two variations of the theme (onyx and pearl) a resizable lcd window and a custom playlist window plus the themes graphics have been totally redone (theres no alpha blending as vlc doesnt support that yet but its corners can blend into most dark and light themes)

Plus ive just added button states as well (pushed) so enjoy!

Update: I can't believe this has been downloaded over 4000 times! It's been 4 years and people are still downloading it (2 downloads today). Thanks for all the favs!! ]]>

I did this as i was trying to skin FF to look like IE9 but got disappointed by the sheer difficulty of it. I made this and I know that it is missing a lot of features and would make it better. I will update it soon probably tomorrow but it is getting late at time of submitting and I want sleep.

Update 1| Added Shuffle and Repeat buttons and made volume look like Zune however a lack of knowledge is preventing me from making the volume slider work exactly like Zune's

So I started using VLC again and noticed there wasn't any appealing skins of late so I decided to make one.

Anyway this skin works and is simple and was inspired by some GAIA skins I have seen.

I personally don't use it but it was fun to make. It's probably the final version for a while, until I get back into it. But wait and see. ]]>

It was modified both chromatically and functionally to conform with Satellite.Mß Visual Style for Windows XP, which is a brushed red-dominant style based on TOSHIBA Satellite P Series' laptops, featuring a red-purple cover and a satin/brushed interior, as well as a 16:10 LCD.


[ instructions ]

• To use the skin just copy the downloaded SatelliteMB.vlt file into VLC's skins/ subdirectory (on Windows XP it is usually %ProgramFiles%\VideoLAN\VLC\skins\).
  
• Run the media player and activate “skin2” engine from the menu commands. Alternatively you can run it as a command line to directly activate “skin2” by typing vlc -I skin2 from the DOS prompt (and from the directory where VLC executable is).
  
• As a last step (this one must be done just the first time) select “SatelliteMB” skin from the pop-up menu activated by right-clicking anywhere on the blank spaces of the player window.
