I had a word with the Xion developer and he has whipped up a new release fixing a ton of bugs. You may have noticed the following while using this skin:

* Album art not updating properly.
* Save states not working (DSP and VIS resetting on each load).
* Pausing after scrubbing the position resumes to where you scrubbed to.

All these have now been fixed so download the latest install (build 126) here: [link]

Aight so this is a follow up to my original XDJ (which was created like 2 years ago or something). This time around though, I aimed for a more natural DJ setup including CD decks as well as vinyl. For those who have experience with this stuff, I'm sure you'll find your way around nicely.

Some Features:
* Vinyl and CD deck modes.
* Animated vinyl and CD deck rotations.
* Dragable tonearms and joggable CD wheels.
* Realistic peak meters.
* Natural DJ layout.
* Looks sweet when streaming the latest epidode of ASOT

Installation:
Download the attached .zip and UNZIP it first! The skin file is inside, not the original .zip itself. Also, please read the .txt file included for some useful info.

Notes
When switching between player modes, the colour theme will revert to the last colour you used with that particular mode. Themes are not saved globally throughout all modes. This isn't laziness nor is it a bug. It is because Xion doesn't currently support cross-psd interaction. So, until either I decide to manually merge 4 PSD files into one, or Xion adds that feature, this will have to do. But you only have to change the colour once for each mode so it's no biggie really...

This skin was designed for use with the Xion media player. You will need to download the player before use. Grab it here: [link]

Please click the download link on the left to grab the skin. To install, either change the file extention to .xsf and double click, or simply drag the zip file on to the Xion player.

Sublimination for Xion media player

I've been working on this one for ages now, I had the idea a few months ago and havn't had much time to work on it but I sat down today and got it all setup for xion and it works great.

The idea behind the skin was to have it compact, look good have a main feature (the orb) but at the same time be highly interactive, I included lots of animations, and some cool sliders to give a nice feel.

Visualiser settings

This player has a visualiser built into the skin, I think it looks cool but you have to set it up right

First enable the visualiser plug-in in xion settings, click options and disable "Randomly change oscilloscope Colour" (as the colour has been set by me in the skin) and then enable "Motion Blue" and "Zoomer" and set the blue slider to the minimum.

Notes

There is no stop button on this skin, personally I find them useless so I didn't include one, instead just use the pause button for play and pause.

How to install

To install the skin, drag the .zip file onto xion and to have it listed in the skins menu drop the zip file into your (program files>r2studios>xion>interfaces), or download it in .xsf form at xions official website [link]

Chromion is, thus far, my best Xion interface. I put a lot more time and effort into making it, and it took a fair amount of time for the creativity session to kick in.

Chromion is designed on a single concept:
Keep the interface small, whilst putting most of the useful functions on it.

This is also my first skin to feature a left-right volume meter. It can easily be found in the navigation panel (on the left). The circle is divided into two parts. The left half and the right half become brighter according to each respective speaker's volume.

Update #2: 05/10/2012--Fixed a bug with some of the Playlist layers moving from their original positions; I anchored them.
Updated: 04/28/2012--Fixed the 'No Album Art' animation.....Finally figured out how to code it so that the animation only runs during playback. (when I figured it out, I was like "Duh!" LOL!)

As you can see by looking at my gallery, I really enjoy making Xion skins - yet recently, I ran out of ideas. So I was almost staring at the Home page, when I realized, "Let's make a DeviantART Xion skin".

And so, here it is - not 110% finished, I'd still like to add more to it.

Hey guys,

Well I had an urge to have a shot at an xion skin to see how it came out, I think it came out pretty well.

The skin it's self took a litttle while of playing around and tweaking, long I know lol... And then a bit to code it because it was my first one

I hope all the effort was worth it so please +Fav comment if you use it, that will be really apreciated.

I would also like to thank lance for some much needed inspiration from all his great skins.

Adjustments & Edits

Edited the volume slider so that the slider bit doesn't disapear when it's not at max volume

now it should stay with the volume fill as it's moved.

I was bored with the previous skin, so I made a new one. And I was bored at work so I made it at work. Like the previous one, this one was built primarily for use in conjunction with the hotkeys for play/pause, stop, next, previous, playlist and close. This one is bit more oriented for different wallpapers, as opposed to the previous one (XMB skin) which really only looked good on a blue wallpaper.

Another notable difference is that this one has an animated element, which can best be described as drawing-lines, that appear, depending on the strength of the bass in a song. And ofcourse the whole slanted look to it!

OfficerMike says : DA makes the XSF file come down as a zip anyway, so rename it to XSF and double click to install. For those less informed :

Xion media player is a media player that renders skins on PSD format, awesome playability and a really great media player( with new features coming soon ).
Try it out, its great.
