Hopefully I will have caught you by surprise by releasing this pack. I said there wouldn't be a Whacko AVS VII, and in a way it's still true: this pack was created with a different mindset.

Technical presets are becoming an increasing chore to make, I find myself running out of space to code, writing external programs to hack around AVS's limitations and using almost exclusively third party APE's stuffed into AVS's creaky interface. It becomes tiresome, in a way its still fun but not when you want to make a lot of presets. In addition when you spend days making a preset you really want to get it out there for people to see and enjoy, so thats what I will probably do in future.

Well folks, this is the part of the journey where the hero gets to hang out with all his buddies, have a beer, get the woman and the credits roll to very triumphant music. So, consider this my beer to all of you (I figured this was better represented by the beer than the woman, I’ll leave that to you ).

Contained within this pak is 40 remixed presets of 40 separate artists in the avs community that took me almost a year to finish! Each one was undertaken either in gratitude for support along the way or through the inspiration of the relevant artist’s work. Because of this, I really consider each one of these a collaboration, not just a remix, even though the artists may have participating unbeknownst to themselves . In essence, I’ve possessed each artist (and I have to tell you, there are definitely some candidates for psychiatric help ).

This pack features many new effects, thanks to new APEs that I wrote: Texer and Color Map. The Texer is an amazing enhancement to particle superscopes, while the Color Map is basically an über-Unique-Tone, allowing for strange color palettes without much slowdown.

As a regular viewer, this means more pretty presets for you, but as a fellow AVS author, this means more possiblities for your own packs! Naturally, you can use these APEs in your own packs if you want: they're very versatile and in no way suited only for Whacko AVS VI. ]]>

Presets were made with wa2 so they should be compatible with it and also with wa5.

..and sorry for the .zip format, I had some troubles with pimpbot and I didn't want to start making a new script for wa2/5 install. unzip it to your .../AVS folder and if you're missing any texer pictures they can be found from ../AVS/Desibel7/req texer pics folder.
