Collaboration between *ChrisCold and `taenaron.

It actually is my third collab and I'm very pleased with the outcome. The original concept was made by *ChrisCold. The overall appearance changed several times during the last two months. *ChrisCold was responsible for and middleground and I did the background. But both worked on the whole pic, improving little things etc.

Prodigium is my first entry for Luminarium's latest exhibition named Genesis. What does Genesis mean? An origin, creation, or beginning. The act of producing or causing to exist | A genius creation.

My first thought was, to creat again a dual-screen wallpaper. I made a poll and it was very clear that you guys wanted one again. I really enjoyed working on the pic and it took me a lot of time to finish it. The concept and composition changed several times (most helpful advise came from ^gucken. Thanks again! The scene should be very clear. If not, please tell me what you see there.

Please note

There are really large sizes available this time. You only are allowed to use it as your personal desktop-background. Prints and commercial use only on request (and paid). If you run a wallpaper-page and want to include this wallpaper, ask me. You're not allowed to add it to your page without permission this time due to the file-resolution.

There'll be no excuse for theft and I'll use every help I can find (little hint: lawyer)! Thanks for your understanding!!!

Ladies and Gentlemen.... I proudly present my victim
This was some hard thing to do. It's the best that is possible for me now. I ever wanted to creat a dual screen wallpaper. And here it is. Broken planet in the middle of the screens was my intention to get a better blending from one to the other screen.

Story behind it? The pic speaks for itself. If you have a problem with realism: I don't care I wanted it the way it is. The biggest problem was the huge planet on the left. Why? Because of the filesize

The hyperbasic idea behind this: chunks of ice, dust, and rocks are forming together to build a solid planet with geothermal activity (because, heck, flames dashing out of the crust generally make things look cool ).

Samurai Champloo

Having looked around for some media from Samurai Champloo to use for my desktop, i discovered that there isn't a whole lot. So, i made this. It's a nice, simple collage that contains a lot of imagery from Champloo's intro, and i think it really captures the feel of the whole show. It didn't take a long time to put together, but i came out nicely, and i figured i'd share it with the community.

I originally had Mugen & Jin facing off towards each other, but i think its much better with like this. Perhaps i'll throw another one together of them actually fighting, since they seem to enjoy doing that.

Let me tell you the story behind this shot. A few years ago, a random girl messaged me on Facebook asking me for advice about what to see in Vancouver during a short visit. I ended up taking her hiking for a day hike to Garibaldi Lake. We became friends, and on my way back from Russia this summer I visited her in Vienna. She took me here, and to many other beautiful places around the city

A very old shot I've rediscovered on my hard drive. I would love to have been there with my Nikon D90, Tokina 11-16mm, and my current skill level because I could definitely compose it better. Still I think the scene itself is striking enough to share.

Taken with my old Sony A200 + the terribly crappy 18-70mm kit lens in Punta Cana, Dominican Republic. Panorama stitched from 2 jpg shots via PtGui and then processed in PhotoMatix Pro.

A wallpaper i've been working on. I have always been trying to find a decent dual-screen/widescreen wallpaper, so, I ended up just making my own.

Available resolutions:

1280x800

Dual-screen resolutions:

5120x1600
3360x1050
2880x900
2560x800

Setting different wallpapers for each monitor:
You can set both monitors to use separate images in Windows by combining the two halves into one giant image (both monitor resolutions combined), and then setting the wallpaper to "Tile" in the Desktop Properties options.This tiles and spills over onto the other monitor. No extra tools/programs are needed.

Zeliszow Church Series VII Wallpaper

Awesome photosession in the former German village Giersdorf (now in Poland, named Zeliszow).

The church was in construction from 1796-1797and was built by Carl Gotthard Langhans (who also built Brandenburg Gate).
It was abandoned after WWII when Germans had to leave the area.

3D Nintendo Mario 3 World 3

This is the World 3 (Water Land) map, from the 8bit Nintendo classic Super Mario Bros. 3, voxel modeled and rendered into 3D.

This particular level map was so damn wide that I had to make this render my first attempt at a dual-screen wallpaper. It's native resolution is for a pair of 1920x1200 screens, but it can be easily vertically cropped from the dual 16:10 to dual 16:9 resolutions.

Jovian Domain

Jupiter, the largest of our 8 planets, features immense weather-conditions that are incomparable to anything terrestial. Given Earth's size, it would be completely swallowed by the most prominent hurricane in our solar system. The large banded structures intermix with each other creating a marble-like texture. You are now orbiting the largest and heaviest of all planets alongside with most moons in the solar system. You have entered the Jovian Domain.

Hey, here's something new from me. It's been a concept I have had in my head for quite a while now but never really attempted to paint it. Until now. It turned out even better than I anticipated, and I really hope you like it, too

For those interested, I made a wallpaper-pack out of it with the most common dual-screen-resolutions. Also, the regular display-ratios at a fairly high resolution so you can simply size it down to suit your needs

Splash - 3760x1600 wallpaper

I upgraded my system a bit, and so I had to make a new wallpaper for it: My System

Antoine Magnien's "Milk" was a huge inspiration for this, as you can clearly see.

It spreads nicely between pivoted 1600x1200 and 2560x1600 displays.

The downloadable .zip package includes these six wallpapers you see in the thumbnails above.
Resolution: 3760x1600

BTW, if you use (and even if you don't use) a dual screen system - I very highly recommend you to use XnView as your image viewer, that's an incredible program - and FREEWARE!

Check out how good it is!
