Pattern Wallpaper Template

I've always loved these simple pattern wallpapers. They're the only type i can stand for very long, other than a plain, solid colour.

So this is a little template to make your own. Click "Download" to get a ZIP file containing the Photoshop PSD.

The PSD will open very small. This is to keep the file size down. It's always annoyed me when people make a wallpaper, then have it in a thousand variations of colour and every possible resolution, making the download 50mb or something ridiculous.

So with this template, you can resize the image yourself to what ever size you like. It's built with adjustment layers, so it won't pixelate or blur. You can choose your own pattern or change the colour very easily.

The only problem is that you need photoshop to be able to do all this... so if you don't have photoshop and want it at a different size, i guess let me know and i'll see what i can do

This one really took me a while to design. I knew that I wanted a summery background for my website and I knew what colors I wanted to use; it was just a matter of putting the whole thing together with the right pattern.

In the original, I really liked the vibrancy of the colors (they were exactly the colors I wanted), but having such bold colors in repetition made my eyes a little buggy. o_o So, I had to tone it down a little bit. But not too much.

I had really wanted to do something with fish for summer. You know, like going to the beach, aquarium, etc. Anyway, most of the time I associate aquatic animals with summer. And, I really love the way koi are drawn in Japanese artwork. I had also wanted to have a design that would vaguely resemble paisley print, so the koi worked wonderfully for that. Colors are more Mediterranean/Caribbean, so I guess you could say it's a blending of two or three cultures?

However, it was a bit frustrating to get the fish positioned to where they tiled properly, since this background is not as "geometrically aligned" as the sage green one had been. However, I'm happy that this one is not as rigid and choppy as tiles can appear (especially the sage tile). I like the fluidity of it.

Nevertheless, I'm quite happy with it, with this being my most recent attempt at tiling.
