For the rocks: some lasso tool, difference clouds(b/w), emboss, color balance, hue/saturation, and some burn and dodge
Grass: start with a grassy green then some noise, add a stylized wind and then burn the side, make some grass shapes with your mouse or pen .
Water: 4 different colors of light water, just made up a few lines with each, then a motion vertical blur, repeat, add some bevel, plastic wrap, shadows, burns, highlights, and add the splash and some clouds
Background: used lot of different grundge brushes, burn, overlay soft light and thats it, then i added a difference clouds.

Welcome To New Amsterdam

I'm pretty pleased with how this turned out. I haven't done a proper digital piece in ages, so I did this.

Again, it's from this fictional city from my graphic novel with I can't seem to get away from New Amsterdam in basically 1930s New York in an alternate dimension, where global warming has already flooded the city, and many parts are waterlogged. Taller and taller buildings are being built to escape the water.

It's a mixture of different techniques; the sign and ocean I made in maya, then rendered. Then I put it on photoshop, used some of my own photos for the sky and city. I worked around a lot of it with some excellent grunge brushes (from [link] ) as well as a lot of the normal photoshop brushes. I started making a overhang (another method than the one I have described in my recent tutorial [link] )

I was working and just happened to experiment texturing the water beneath with reduced opacity texture, and then I got a rememberance of a dream where I was trying to land on a parched land, (while flying lucidly in the dream) , and then I felt a splash of water (water was warm). And I picked up some water and drank it , it tasted normal.

"" I dunno where, I dunno how, but I know something's starting right nooow!"

"Is she STILL watching that?"

The soothing voice of the young magician Minuki rang all throughout the office as Odoroki was at his desk, staring dully forward as his eyes were locked on the young magician, watching as she had been so concentrated on watching the Little Mermaid on TV, that after a few times watching Ariel or so, Minuki became more happy and relaxed at watching the movie, so much so that she eventually let herself slip and sing along as the mermaid sung as well on the slab of rocks, right before Ariel had been splashed with water. While this normally wouldn't bother Odoroki at all, having Minuki hang around his office only to watch disney movies from Aladdin to the Little Mermaid like this, he had nobody to contact him and Minuki for him to take any cases to pass the time, his phone line was as silent as ever, if anything, and this had also been Minuki's 16th time watching the Little Mermaid by now, which, with him lacking any cases to take, he couldn't very well distract himself away from doing much except stare and listen to Minuki sing along at times.

"Watch and you'll see-, someday I'll be-, part of your wooooorld!"

"You're already in our world!" Odoroki muttered, a bit louder than his earlier remark as he watched Minuki seemingly ignore him all the while grinning brightly.

"Aww, don't be so hard on the girl Odeko-Kun." Another voice cooed out, the more tender voice belonging to the young procecutor Kyouya as he had been sitting on a couch not too far from Minuki, keeping to himself for the most part. "Afterall, she's just expressing how her heart feels. And she's got a lovely voice to do so."

"Thank you Kyouya." Minuki spoke up, all the while Kyouya smirked to himself as he gently flicked the tip of his fingers against the strings of his guitar.Unlike Odoroki, at least Kyouya had his ways of finding something to do to better distract himself from this. Odoroki groaned under his breath at this, thinking to himself of why is it Minuki would listen more to Kyouya than to him despite being partners, only increasing his thoughts at him when he watched Minuki stick her tongue out at him to tease him alongside Kyouya before watching her movie again.

"How could her heart express something about living on land? She's already got that..." He muttered once more, which, to his surprise, made Kyouya snicker softly to himself as he continued to gently brush against the strings of his guitars with his fingers, strumming out the soft tune that sounded so much like his older song, Love Love Guilty.

"Ah hah hah, jealous that your partner and your rival's got more talent than you do, Daijobu-kun?"

"O-OBJECTION!" Odoroki shouted out, making Kyouya strike a rather sour note one his guitar while Minuki winced at getting cut off her focus on Ariel and the others on TV.

"What do you know about talent, Kyouya?! besides... Uh...S-Stay out of this!" Odoroki shouted, with Kyouya striking a nerve on the younger attorney, he could feel his urge to object going sky high, yet with him feeling a bit out of place in this, even he wasn't sure what to object to. With this failed attempt at pulling out a quick objection, all it did was make Kyouya burst out laughing, more so as a taunt more than from amusement alone, all the while unnoticed by either of the two, Minuki continued watching her movie, though there had been a bright gleam flashing in her eyes, all the while she had been tracing her eyes back and forth between the movie and her staff.

"Is that the best you can do, Odeko-Kun?" He spoke up, snickering still as his eyes flashed while staring at Odoroki, watching him as he tried to remain stern yet was clearly sweating bullets. "Hmph. Yeah, of course I don't know anything about talent..." Kyouya began, staring dully at Odoroki as he continued, all the while Odoroki seemed a bit intimidated. "Afterall, I'm nothing but a rockstar, having to perform live appearances day in and day out all the while surviving through a whole mob of groupies every day."

"A-a-ah-"

"Hmph."

Though Kyouya's smirk returned as his eyes gleamed to Odoroki, all the while he blinked as he was shocked to see Kyouya's serious gleam turned into more of a playful grin.

"I like that expression of yours, Odeko-Kun."

"W-what?"

"The way your eyes are so big and blank, the way your mouth opens and closes like that... You're almost like a little fish cornered in it's small tank." He spoke, keeping rather calm as he grinned, all the while Odoroki was a bit confused, though also ticked off at this, obviously pissed at Kyouya, yet unsure of why exactly he should be.

"Wha-what? Am not- Take that back!"

"Aww, ickle Daijobu-Kun's angry now?"

"You-"

As Kyouya and Odoroki began to argue, with Kyouya smirking and taunting Odoroki all the while the younger attorney had been trying to land a punch at him, Minuki snapped out of her trance-like focus from her movie, looking up to watch the two as they fought verbally and, as time passed, physically as well. Minuki frowned at this, though it wasn't any new sight she sees and wasn't used to before, it didn't mean she wasn't annoyed with all this the more she saw it. Slowly she ended up gripping her short magician's staff in one hand, twirling it around as she pondered over what to do, especially what to do to make both of them shut up. Though as her eyes glanced over to her movie and to her wand, a sly grin formed along her lips, and she ended up giggling as she tossed her wand high in the air, catching Kyouya and Odoroki's attention as there had been a large puff of smoke that exploded in the room and flushed out at the two. Kyouya could feel the most impact out of it as where he and Odoroki stood and where the smoke was coming toward them from, Kyouya had been standing between Odoroki and the smoke, and he could feel the pressure build up against its back as the smoke shoved him in front of Odoroki. He groaned as he gritted his teeth, trying to fight this, yet oddly, while he was nromally used to pushing back against anything that was shoving him from the front or the back, oddly this time had felt different. This time he felt as if his legs were feeling a bit weak and brittle than before, and instead of being able to stand up against this rush, he felt helpless as he ended up collapsing and falling forward, tackling Odoroki down while the smoke had built up as heavy fog, covering their vision.

" *cough cough* Od- *cough* Ode- *cough*" Kyouya called out, his vision blinded by nothing but the thick fog as he felt he was all alone. He struggled to try to stand up, though as he tried to lift his leg, he had felt odd doing so, feeling like he lost feeling into one of his legs as he crashed on the ground again.

"Crap.... What did that girl do, paralyze us?" He muttered to himself, trying to stand up again though crashing once more, so far only managing to crawl on the ground in order to move at all. "What the hell's going on?"

He gritted his teeth as he let out a low growl. Kyouya didn't know why, but he could feel a sharp pain strike along his legs, almost as if, what was once paralyzed had now been struck with a sudden shock in his body, making him regain feeling of his legs again, yet painfully. Though he shut his eyes at first as he had been cut off guard with this new feeling, suddenly his eyes lit up as he let out a small yelp. He could feel a sudden sting at either side of his body, feeling like it was close to his legs. The feeling caught him off guard yet again as it almost felt like someone had came behind him and sliced his skin with a knife. He was even more nervous as with this feeling coming, he could hear something rip as well, something like clothing. He quickly turned around, trying to swing his leg around in an attempt to kick whoever was behind him, he didn't even know if anyone had been there, but with the way he felt like he was being attacked, he didn't want to be just a sitting duck. He felt himself swing slightly, turning to look behind him as he looked up, surprised that nothing but the fog had been beside him. However as he slowly glanced down to his legs, he almost felt like passing out right on the spot. It was clear to him now of why he couldn't feel his legs properly, yet he didn't want to believe it. What he heard being teared to shreds was his pants as they had been torn apart, all for the sake of making room for him as his legs had been merged together, a very long, slender tail taking its place, just starting to form a large fin as it was growing in size and height, yet also becoming more thin. Kyouya winced as he tried to get up, backing away as he stared in shock at his new tail, watching as it was starting to change into a darker hue now, shifting from his tanned skin color into shades of black and purple, closely matching the color of his jacket and pants as time passed on. He slipped his hands at where he thought he had been slashed with a blade, feeling as, indeed, he had gashes close to his sides, though they weren't caused by any attack, more like they had felt much like gills, stinging him while he winced as, while these gills had tried to flap open and close to breathe, the lack of water caused him more pain than comfort with this. He could feel his arms aching, making him more nervous as he quickly grabbed his jacket, tearing it off and tossing it to the side. He watched as his arms began to shift as well, with something poking along the side of his arms, ready to emerge and tear off any clothing he had in the process. Quickly he groaned as he raced against this, struggling to take off his shirt as well, and barely saving his shirt from being torn to bits at its sleeves as he made a small rip in them while tossing it aside, revealing that now he had fins that grew and fanned out along his arms. He was left all alone, struggling to try to figure out what was going on, all the while he had felt isolated from the others, no longer with Minuki or Odoroki. As much as Odoroki and Minuki had annoyed him and amused him at the same time when they meet, deep down he would've given anything to see them again. He didn't wanna be alone at a time like this, especially in a form like this. Fortunately as he looked up, his heart still pounding from the excitement of all this, he ended up falling forward as he felt like he had been tackled down, feeling as someone was sitting on top of him and causing a bit of discomfort from behind him. Apparently there had also been another fin that sprouted along his back, and whoever that tackled him from behind was crushing it.

"Nyah haaaah! Kyouya-Chan! having fun?" A high-pitched voice chirped out, one that made Kyouya snap his attention as he recognised the voice to have belonged to Minuki. To his relief, the fog seemed to be clearing up as he could see the office again, and he groaned as he watched Minuki peek down from over him, clearly being the one sitting on his back.

"Fun? You call being turned into this fun?" Kyouya muttered, clearly he wasn't amused having his body torn and twisted into something crossed with a fish. Deep down he wanted to know what he happened to turn into, yet he had also been afraid to ask. Minuki giggled as she got off Kyouya, only to stand in front of him as she poked his arms, poking along his muscles where black markings had appeared, all the while Kyouya groaned as he pushed himself up and leaned against the back of the couch and glared.

"Oooh, Kyouya-Chan, I didn't know you had these tattoos. They look pretty." Minuki squeaked out, smiling while Kyouya blinked as he stared down at his body, now seeing that, where his pendant had been was a large purple mark imprinted on his chest, while similar black markings had coiled themselves around his arms, and two other markings had also appeared right above his waist.

"I....Didn't...." he stuttered, surprised to see these marking as well, though turning his attention away from them as he looked up, a thought flashing in his mind as he got a good look of Minuki.

"Wait....What happened to Ode-"

"Ah! I- OBJECTION!"

A shrill voice rang as it cut off Kyouya, catching both his and Minuki's attention as they both looked up, only for Minuki to run away from his side to lean over something on the floor. Quickly she tried to pick it up, only to wince as she let out a yelp, tossing it over at Kyouya, making him wince as well as it fell on his lap even before he got to know what 'it' was.

"Eew, slimy!" Minuki whimpered out, with Kyouya left with something hopping on top of him. As he looked down, he didn't know wether to be horrified or to be amused at this, as the thing that had been flailing on his waist had been a very small fish, one with a red body, green and white fins, and a pale-colored face, all the while sporting two brown fins growing on its forehead that Kyouya recognised all too well.

"O...Odeko-Kun?" He spoke up, trying not to snicker as he could see the fish flailing around even more violently, hopping all over him.

"D-Dammit! Minuki! What the hell did you do?!" The tiny fish yelped, all the while Minuki regained herself, though was clearly nervous as she hugged her small wand in her hands, whimpering at the sight of him and Kyouya.

"Aaaah, I'm sorry! I- I didn't mean to!" She squeaked out, only for the fish to grow more ticked while Kyouya looked away, trying to hold back from snickering. Unfortunately Kyouya hadn't gone unnoticed, as the fish turned to look up to him, glaring, though looking a bit pale.

"W-What're you snickering at?!" Odoroki growled out, though breathing a bit heavily while Kyouya snickered more as he tried to speak.

"I told you. You're just like a little fish, Odeko-Kun."

"GAH!"

"Aww what, the Doki-fish is angry?"

"AAAH!"

Before Kyouya could react, he could feel Odoroki leap up from his waist, only to slap him across the face with the back of his fin.

"H-Hey!"

Though while Kyouya was going to return the slap to the fish, as he looked down to Odoroki, both he and Minuki grew nervous at the sight of him. With him being a fish now, without water, he was clearly fading fast, growing more pale while his movements began to slow down. Even Kyouya could feel the lack of water weakening him as well, his gills at his sides still trying to breathe, though suffocating while making him grow exausted, even feeling feeble. Minuki stared and watched the two, frowning while growing a bit afraid of how the two were reacting to fresh air now, and quickly she tried to find a way to help, looking around the room, and then down to her staff.

"A-ah! hang on you guys, I'll help you." Minuki whimpered, though she twirled her staff as she closed her eyes, secretly praying that she could save them.

Outside of the office, two figures were walking down the halls and toward the office Odoroki and the others were in, one of the figures being the tall, sophisticated man Kirihito, the other, Winston Payne as he was struggling behind Kirihito, clearly having a hard time following the man.

"You'll really keep your promise, Mr. Garyuu, won't you? No funny buisness, agreed?" Payne spoke up, his voice shakey as ever while he was sweating a bit, be it out of exaustion of keeping up with Kirihito, or because he was intimidated by the other attorney. Though Kirihito merely grinned as he continued to walk toward the office, not even bothering to look toward Payne nor slow down to let the other attorney catch up to him.

"Of course Mr. Payne. You wish to see my client's records, and as I told you, they're in my office. Of course there won't be any foul play when buisness comes first."

Though Payne opened his mouth to say something, there was little that Kirihito left for him to say. All he could do was follow him closely. Even though Payne could feel something was off here, he had no clue what it was, nor how to ask. Even if he knew what to ask for that matter, the way Kirihito seemed to be walking quickly, grinning all the while as Payne had to struggle to keep up, it left Payne little time to think this over either, and little courage to stand up to an attorney who was one of many feirce attorneys that could round-kick his ass in a second. Slowly Kirihito stopped as he stood beside the door of his office, waiting for Payne as the feeble man finally caught up with him, only to stare at the door while Kirihito stood up straight, his arms crossed behind his back as he stared at Payne intently.

"Here it is. My brother and my student are already inside. I'm sure they won't cause you any trouble, however." Kirihito spoke simply, grinning as he finished his sentence while he left Payne staring at the door, raising a shakey hand outward while gripping the doorknob firmly in his hands, even though his grip wasn't too tight as his sweat made the doorknob rather slippery.

"O-of course..." Payne muttered softly, his hand turning the doorknob gently as he opened the door.

Unfortunately for poor Payne, the minute he opened the door, the door flew open as a massive tidal wave had flushed out from the office, spraying all over Payne as the elderly procecutor was helpless as he was swept away from the sudden tides. As the water rushed out while Kirhito blinked at the sight, spared from being touched by the water as the door sheilded him off, the water eventually grew thinner and thinner untill the whole room had been completely flushed out. All the while the tides had left Winston Payne to wince in pain out all the way as far as the ground floor lobby, while Kirihito was left walking out from behind the door, only to frown at the sight of Kyouya and Odoroki both sliding up in front of him, Kyouya tugging at Odoroki's twig-like hair, while Odoroki yanked at the procecutor's hair from beside his shoulder, both completely unaware that they had also managed to change back to their regular forms through all this mess, and yet, were also left with horribly tattered, now soaked clothing. Minuki slowly peaked out of the room, surprisingly spared from being soaked at all from the tide, all the while she hid her wand behind her back, whimpering at the sight of the three men.

"Maybe I overdid it...." She whimpered slightly, growing nervous and slipping back into the office while Kyouya and Odoroki were still left struggling, growling, and still at each other's throats.

"You stupid twig-fish!"

"Dumb-blonde mermaid!"

"Aherm..."

Finally the two had snapped out of their rage against each other as they heard another voice, though it's a voice they both knew, and deep down, feared at hearing as they both looked up at the sight of the older man above them, watching as Kirihito stood over them, which, while grinning, there was clearly a large vein popping right beside one of his eyes, while he crossed his arms and tapped his arm impatiently at them, clearly awaiting an explaination for all this. With Odoroki being Kirihito's pupil and Kyouya being his brother, the two knew very well what Kirihito was capable of when tempted, and as the two stared nervously at each other and back up to Kirihito, they did the only sensible thing they could think of.... To point at each other as they both whimpered slightly.

"He did it."

"No, he did it.""

Oh noes, Minuki went to Hogwarts to learn real magicz... *shot* ZOMG it's mer-Kyouya and his trusty sidekick Doki-fish, Odeko-kun! *shot again* Is it wrong that I ended up dreaming this up as a mental image while falling asleep trying to play Mario Party 5 on an aquatic level at about...1.... Maybe 2 in the morning? *shot again* Yes, tis fishy Kyouya, the not-so-little-merman ( No, of course he's not supposed to be a Little Mermaid parody boy, what makes you guys think that? *shot* XO What? I COULD have added the purple clam bra too you know. Don't think I can't. *shot again* XD! Ok, ok, I won't..*still shot*) I dunno why but I thought of him as a merman and so this sprung up. Originally he was gonna be just about the tail and his upper body being shirtless, but after a while of thinking all day, eventually Kyouya also ended up sprouting fins along his arms ( I blame the zoras on Zelda) and along his back beside his butt too (XD! Ass fins? *shot*). I wanted to make his hands look webbed too, but when I tried that with the way his hands were, not only did it not look well, you can barely notice it, so I left his hands alone. Also while doing this, I almost forgot about his trademark G pendant, so rather than try to patch on chain links around his neck to have it, instead I wanted to add it as if it was markings on his body with him being a merman (besides, some mermen end up sporting unique markings along their body anyways, even though not all, right?), so that's why it's more imprinted on his chest rather than hang along his neck. I wondered a bit of what color would best fit his body color on his scales and fins and such, though with him being portrayed with different shades of purple as well as black, I thought I'd go with the flow on that.

To be honest this began, at first, with just Kyouya alone. Though with it being a bit bland, I'm not sure why, but I thought of trying to add someone else along with Kyouya. With him, he'd go well with someone like Kirihito or Odoroki, but with Kirihito fitting more like a shark than some ickle small-fry fish, Doki-fish was born. Small, simple, and fun to poke with a stick. So yeah, witness the birth of Doki-fish, the randomly placed fish with twigs.

XP Also note that this is the first time I've worked with mermaids/mermen, I.E. it's the first time I've had to deal with a character who, at some part of their body, has their skin color slightly altered halfway or at some point of their body, dividing yet blending in so that it shifts from one color to the other. Basically it's the first time I've tried to experiment with that effect along Kyouya's waist where his skin color was supposed to shift into the color of his scales. Hopefully it turned out alright? It's my first time playing around with the "dithering" technique of spriting. Usually it's never really been my favorite style, in fact it urks me sometimes (to make it, not to see it, I know other pixel artists may use this technique, and use it well they have), I thought that was the best way to transition Kyouya's skin color to his scale color without making it seem too obvious the colors clash. The markings all over Kyouya's body was probably the most fun to do out of his whole self. It's fun to experiment with all the weird markings since, I already made myself set it so he'd have markings so long as his Garyuu Wave symbol becomes like a "tattoo" on his chest and not his usual pendant. But at the same time, I didn't want to overdo it so he'd look like some walking painting of his own, covered with more tattoos than he has scales. I also didn't wanna add just any pattern all over Kyouya while I was ahead, but instead, I wanted to give him designs that are consistent with whatever he has or was planned to have on his main design (his character design). First came the G, what with his Garyuu Wave pendant, while the second came those jagged thunderbolts on his waist, a design I thought was cool and alright to add since, on his concept art, the G pendant he had was supposed to be tipped with a thunderbolt shape to make it more jagged ( Though truth be told, which is an odd coincidence, I did the bolts BEFORE I saw he actually had it, also the art he had that in was on a page he was also planned to wear a green suit). Finally came the designs along his arms that also came from his character design that actually made it to the game. I'd tell you guys where this design appears on him, but then that would be a bit of a spoiler, so the guys that got this game (or court record's page of character sprites at least), by all means, look out for those marks.

Heh, I really hope I did Kyouya's hair alright. He was a tricky one since, out of anybody I've ever done a pic of, his hair, though it's got shadings (very defined shadings that're usually specific as well), he had a lot less..um..well..."details" ( Not really the word I'm looking for, it's hard to explain) than what I was used to, so I might've either did it or screwed it up. Hopefully not the former. More so, it's also a first time (as you guys probably have seen, assuming that you guys watched my galleries and seen my work, old and new) that I worked with a darker tone of skin. Usually I worked with much lighter colors because I liked and got used to it. Why? Mainly because the lighter the shade, the easier they are to blend, versus darker tones, you have to get the shades just right as they grow darker and darker, because for textures, skin being a sensitive part, they'd really stand out and clash a bit if not done well (faces especially are a tough part to do since the less details the better, yet you still gotta balance a bit of shading). I'm not really sure if Kyouya is supposed to be that dark or a bit lighter, I see him both taking the same shade of skin as someone like Odoroki or Maya or so at some times, while others he's a bit darker, sometimes dark enough to be ganguro (the japanese fashion style where you have dark-tanned skin with light-colored hair), this is the color scheme that seemed to have matched up the most with his skin game-wise, so I've pretty much went with the game on this one. Hopefully the shades go well with each other though, I'm not the best judge in this, especially since not only is this a first I've worked with darker-toned skin shades, but also with working on a color scheme I picked that's supposed to fully shade the entire body, versus before I only did the face and hands and small chunks at most.

Oh, and finally about that fanfic bit up way far above, this is to let you guys know I've never played Gyakuten Saiban 4, nor got the chance to see it or a script, the best I saw was notes here and there and screenshots. So with that kept in mind, I don't exactly know what Odoroki and Kyouya say and do, and I'm just guessing using as much as I know. I pictured Kyouya to be a bit poetic at times (though also teasing and a handful), while Odoroki's always a bit loud and, though he tries to think a lot, sometimes he acts before thinking and ends up left stuttering quite a bit. Kirihito here, I also tried to make him act calm and balanced, while also gentle (unless provoked. Then he's just a real hard-ass, much like Hakkai is when provoked *stabbed*) So this is hoping I got it somewhat acurate as I could, yet I probably messed up here and there. Oh, and I'm aware of spoilers and some things that might not make sense with the events of the game, but this can be counted as a "spin-off", because going acurate in this case will change it, or end up flashing spoilers to try to explain. It's all in good fun, people! ( Course honestly I ain't too proud of it, considering I rushed on it and I did it very late at night while distracted.)

(XD! And this is to note this is probably the longest comment I've made on any of my work thus far... Should I be proud of that? *shot*)

Corru () did the art and I made the wallpapper. In truth I had no idea what I was going to do with it. D: It took me forever to figure it out but less than 10 minutes to write the story. XD

I wanted to do it like a story book thing so I used a child writing font and put in simple shapes.

I don't remember where I got the brushes. Cloud brushes from; Cloud-no9 I'm pretty sure but the rising sun brushes I don't remember.

Pretty simple render. What I like about it was that the lighting was so damned good, ON ACCIDENT, that the only two materials I used were Bryce's default one, and diamond. Then it was just into Photoshop to figure out how to orient the silly thing and do some brushing, and this is the first time I ever did brushing that turned out GOOD.

So yeah. I'm happy. VERY happy.

Edit: Full View, people. C'mon.... how do you expect to see any shiney details and stuff if you only look at a friggen' thumnail? Sheesh. And if you don't... I can kill you with my brain. (prize for anyone who knows and can tell me the reference there! )

I've wanted to do a picture like this since February.... for Doug's birthday. Originally, I wanted to do it traditionally... but the horse I wanted to do proved to be too difficult.... so earlier this evening, I felt like drawing... I started... 9, maybe? A bit earlier? I dunner. I remember looking at the clock and seeing 9:30 and I was just about done with the two sketches of the unicorn-pegasus that I did.... (referenced off of the WONDERFUL tutorial by =Cedarseed).... and I just finished it now at 6:10am.... And that's working on it straight for.... however many hours that was. e.e

My hand hurts from using the tablet almost the entire time... 'cause I'm not used to using it for that long at one time yet. (haha, yet.)

Anyway... it's not the most dynamic or "fast-looking" pose of a horse running.... but I wanted one where either one or both of the forelegs were touching the ground... and after much deliberation between this and part of a canter... I picked this.

Everything was done in Photoshop.... sketched the horsey-type creature in blue, outlined it more nicely.... coloured it (also using part of said tutorial for the shading and highlighting ).... background was done in PS as well... everything made from scratch (I tried to find a good "water splash" brush online, but couldn't, so I used a preset and fuddled around with it).... and I am very tired now.

It's wallpaper sized (1024X768), but if you want a different size, I'd be more than happy to hook you up, or if you want one without the lyrics (I'm using a lyric-less one), I can do that, too.

Oh! Before I forget... the lyrics are from an amazing song called Eden by Beth Patterson. Doug introduced me to it (and to her music in general), and it's absolutely gorgeous. The two lines that I put on the wallpaper are what inspired the picture--that and Doug, of course. (When you see it, love, I hope you like it! I know I'm up waaaaaaay longer than I should be, but it sorta.... grabbed hold of me and dragged me along. I had no choice but to finish it. )

Okay. The sun is officially coming up. I'm going to bed because I'm tired and drained from yesterday and what the picture pulled out of me earlier. I mean... my elbow hurts. On the arm I wasn't using! x.x Gah. Okay, I'm rambling (=sign of Lyz super-tiredness.) Lyz sleeps now.

Bye Maggins! Conner waved back to his friend on the way out of school.
Goodbye Con, dont forget about the troll hunt after sundown! Maggins called back to him before running over to her mother.
As long as you dont forget the whacking sticks! Conner laughed before turning and running through the village square. He ducked away as some kids splashed at him with the water from the fountain, he laughed and stuck his tongue out at them before running faster to the small wooden house at the end of the village square. He ran into the house, walking into the kitchen. Mom! Cast! Im back! He called to the empty house. Blinking before pulling his woollen cloak off and setting it over the back of one of the chairs. Mom? Castor? Are you home?
Ah! Conner ran upstairs after hearing the scream, immediately pulling open Castors bedroom door and seeing his younger brother cowering in the corner as a huge figure stood over him. Conner rushed forward, grabbing the figures arm and pulling him back.
Leave him alone! He shouted just as the figure pulled its arm back and struck Conner across the face, sending him crashing against the floor. Conner jumped back to his feet and pushed the figure against the wall before grabbing Castors arm and pulling him behind his back.
The figure glared at him, narrowing its dark green eyes at the two. Conner gulped, looking down at Castor before slowly pushing him towards the door. Go bro, I got this He smiled down at him as his brother nodded and ran from the room, shouting for their mother. The moment Conner turned back, rough hands wrapped around his throat and pinned him up against the wall. You shouldnt have done that The figure growled, tightening his grip.
Conner chocked, glaring at him through narrow eyes. Y-You w-were scaring him! He gasped out. The figure narrowed his eyes before pulling one hand back and slapping Conner across the face and dropping him to the ground before walking out of the room. Castor ran in a few moments later and dropped down beside him, burying his face in Conners shirt.
Hey Conner whispered softly, pushing himself up and wrapping his arms around Castor, brushing some of the youngers hair out of his face. Its okay, see? Im fine
Castor shook his head, sniffling and looking up at him. W-whyd he hut He sniffed and buried his face in Conners shirt again. Conner patted his head, looking out the door and into the doorway to make sure their father couldnt hear them and come in again before ruffling Castors hair lightly and chuckling. Cause hes an idiot
