Achilles felt guilty about that and decided to run the City in succession to his father; people elected him because of his charisma and story, and he now runs PokéCity. Well, he tries his best, that is.

Edit: After Penelope's death, his girlfriend moving to study elsewhere and the zombie invasion, Achilles felt pretty bad and decided to try harder to be a good mayor and start studying, once classes begin again after the holidays! Maybe the scold Mr. President gave on him this time had a part in this... So after a few days enjoying the capital's night life recklessly so much he can barely remember what happened and finding his sister a new doctor, he's back on PokéCity!

Personality: Given how Achilles has been so close to death as a kid, he now lives life to the fullest he possibly can. He's always cheerful and tries to help and be friends with everyone... that said, he's very energetic and doesn't have much patience for burocratic stuff, which he leaves for his secretary Penelope, a person he respect because she was always close to his father when alive.

A peculiar trait about Achilles's personality is that it will change when he's using a plate other than the artificial "Dull" plate he often wears: the flame plate makes him angrier, the meadow plate makes him more calm and the splash plate makes him more competitive. Achilles is not aware of these changes of personality, though...

Achilles does not talk about his past much, only for the fact that he finds most of it irrelevant or unnecessary to bring it up, but if urged to do so he’ll attempt to explain it in short detail. He was raised by his mother who provided for the two of them by stealing, then selling or keeping the stolen goods for money and other living essentials. Once he got older Achilles would accompany her in an effort to help, but later on he began to work alone, feeling he didn’t need his mother around to do a job or that she needed him. It wasn’t until he was 16 that she was caught and killed for her crimes, leaving Achilles to develop the twinge of guilt that if he hadn’t been so proud he could have protected, or at least gone down with, his mother.

Managing to survive on his own but scraping by just barely, Achilles decided to join Avicenna in hopes of surviving. Part of him also hoped/hopes that the group may fight back against oppression put down on the lower class someday.

PERSONALITY
Achilles is an educated man who keeps most of his thoughts to himself but holds a strong personality of passion, drive and a constant hope for change. He is not afraid to express his distaste or approval for things but will try to stay civil about it. Growing up in poverty and dealing with the hardships that a destitute life brings has caused him to develop a radical view on his position in society and that of the wealthy. He has a large amount of pride for the poor, feeling that as a group of people with similar issues and wants that they could be unstoppable should they choose to fight back against the oppression thrust upon them. Due to these radical thoughts, the man secretly wishes to start a movement or revolution of some sort against the higher class, but due to his personal cowardice of bringing the very notion up hinders any want of putting his ideas to actions. Another reason why he keeps such an idea to himself is the paranoia that someone from the opposing side may hear this goal and tell the plans to their higher ups, thus ending the dream (and possibly his life) before it could take flight. Occasionally Achilles may give off an air of leadership, but he doesn’t hold the right amount of self-confidence to become an actual leader yet.

Unlike his mother he normally savages for items to sell and only reverts to thieving if he deems it the only option to do so at the time being, feeling that it may be somewhat petty but the world owes him at least one free meal or item once in awhile. Other than that he feels thievery, as supportive as it is to his kind, only helps support the higher classes’ pessimistic view on the poor. Also, on the note of his mother, because of her death Achilles now understands the importance of team work and will not try to play the lone hero unless called for.

Admittedly as disapproving as he is towards those with money he tries to be realistic by reminding himself that, like people, not all of them are the same and that as ignorant as they may be there are probably some good higher class people. This doesn’t stop him from thinking that they could be knocked down a peg or so in humility.

Though he’s grateful for what Avicenna has done for him, there’s a part of Achilles that believes the group is too good to be true. He’ll do what he’s assigned and has sworn his alliance to them but is on the watch for any suspicious behavior that may prove his suspicions correct.

TL;DR: Mainly keeps in a serious mood but is friendly, trustworthy and loyal. Blunt and opinionated about current events. Does not tolerate those who don't work well with other members.

STRENGTHS AND ABILITIES
Due to years of growing up with a thief, Achilles has grown a good sense of stealth and agility. He is use to knives, since that had been his main choice of weapon while growing up, but has found he’s quick at reloading guns (his aim on the other hand still needs work). Despite being raised in a poor environment, Achilles is able to read, write and holds a good amount of knowledge due to his mother who felt education shouldn’t just be for the wealthy. Because of this he has a bit of pride, but not enough to gain a giant ego.

If given an order Achilles will do his best to complete it efficiently and professionally. If he fails he won’t make an excuse for himself but instead figure out the points he did wrong so as to correct them should he be given a second chance.

On a side note he’s good at finding more pricey items to sell, should he ever need money/food/essentials.

FAULTS AND WEAKNESSES:
Achilles has a case of vanity when it comes to appearances. He tries to find clothes that give off an air of professionalism or title to prove that anyone can look high ranked. Most of these clothes are in poor condition though, so it doesn’t do too much. This vanity has in turn caused him to gain cases of insomnia after years of staying up into all hours of the night to make sure no one stole his things (since they were of some high value and all). This symptom only occurs if he is overly stressed or dealing with anxiety.

The man also is a mediocre shot when it comes to shooting a gun, since he’s only begun to learn how to use one recently.

HABITS
Flicks his hair out of his face constantly, but the strands continue to fall in his face no matter how hard he tries to get them away (one may say he should just cut his hair but he has personal reasons for it’s length). Writes in his personal journal each night.

HOBBIES
People watching, reading, catching up on current events, scavenging for items, mainly clothes (he’s recently lost one of his spats and is trying to dig up another so he doesn’t look as hodge podged)

I've never attempted a realistic look such as this with colours. Well, I have, but it's always turned to shit.
It's kind of my Achilles Heel when it comes to painting, and that's why I want to work at it.

This could look better, sure, but for a first, serious attempt I'm fairly happy. It gives me hope that I might someday be as fluent with subtle skintones and colours as I am with just plain drawing. Parts of it are kind of blurry, and almost oilpaint-looking, which is what I like. Some do photorealistic, and are brilliant at it, but I'm more into the "painty" look.

For fun I painted me with curly hair (it's actually straight), and the tiny demonbrats are just a part of the package that is me. ]]>

I be working on buffalo footies right there... taking the delicious meat, bone, and tendon out of the hide and hooves. They will be made into table lamps (I got a free pair of hind legs, so I'll be making some Minotaur shoes soon!!!)

I am one of the few with a steel stomach for these things as I eat my burrito and get ready to discard the juicy Achilles tendon from a buffalo leg.

Some say this is disgusting. But It's the truth behind the art of taxidermy. Only 10% of it is blood and gore.

Note: I DID NOT KILL THESE ANIMALS! They come to me already dead from zoos, farms, or legal hunts.
So don't be talkin' smack about my profession! ]]>

1. Alexander The Great and Hephaestion Amyntoros - The truer OTP ever.

(( The pic is from the movie Alexander (2004) starring Colin Farrel (Alexander) and Jared Leto (Hephaestion). I found it on google so don’t know who to credit, let me know and I’ll add you <3 ))

Alexander and Hephaestion grew up together, studied together (in the school of Mieza under philosopher Aristotele), shared the same dreams, went to wars together, compared their relationship to the one between Achilles and Patroclus (which are like the most official and canon gay couple from the ancient greek epic ever) and basically did everything is in the history books together except that history books usually cut Hepheastion’s name off *sigh* It’s also a matter of fact that after Hephaestion’s death Alexander went crazy and started drinking even more than he did: eventually he let himself die -which happened only months after Hephaestion’s own death.

2. Jung Yunho x Kim Jaejoong - The "i-don't-know-what-this-is-but-i-can-see-the-love-here" OTP.

(( The pic is a candid taken by a stalker (maybe?), I honestly don’t remember where I found this, that’s a very old picture of YunJae -the credits are on the image btw, even if they’re barely readable I know ;_; ))

Yunho and Jaejoong are and were respectively leader and main vocalist of DBSK (a very famous kpop band debuted in late 2003 *being a hard fan of them*) and also friends & roommates before that, so in all they’ve been knowing each other for over 10 years now. I am pretty sure in stating that every kpop fan has heard or read at least once about Yun & Jae (or YunJae, as they are called) and not just because they served (and still somehow serves, despite DB5K's break) the purpose of publicity stunt and fanservice (and what a great, natural, fanservice!), but because YunJae does really exist in its own way: whatever you call what's between them (solid friendship, brotherly bond, romantic interest) you can't deny there is indeed a type of love here ♥ (just look at their pics / videos / candids / quotes / interviews / etc. and you'll get my point).

3. Hotsuma x Shuusei - The OTP decided long ago.

(( The pic is from tumblr, or at least it’s where I found it. If it’s yours let me know and I’ll give you proper credits <3 ))

Hotsuma and Shuusei are supporting characters from UraBoku, a very wonderful shounen ai / supernatural / reincarnation / fantasy / adventure / eyecandy manga - it’s one of my faves *__*; they are zweilt guardians paired together since their previous lives and while Hotsuma is a short tempered, passionate and impulsive guy which no one has control over except for Shuusei *otp otp otp*, Shuusei is the quit, mature and very polite type, to the point to look detached sometimes - he also takes a lot of things for himself thus ends up lying a lot, especially to Hotsuma (even if Hotsuma can always tell when Shuusei is hiding something); basically their relationship is something you can easily label as a deep one but also, being it so full of things unsaid and regrets and sorrowful memories, you can feel the angst too *tear* Oh, have I mentioned that in their previous lives Shuusei was a female and Hotsuma and him were married?! …I know, how more canon should the mangaka put it? XD

4. Nezumi x Sion - The vowed OTP.

(( I found the pic on tumblr; again if it's yours let me know and I’ll give you credits <3 ))

Nezumi and Sion are the main characters of No.6, a Japanese novel series made into an anime / manga. I still wonder why the series wasn’t labeled as shounen ai -maybe not to attract a specific range of readers / watchers only? (yeah, I'm talking of shounen ai / yaoi fans *raises her hand*). Anyway, we don't need a tag to prove our point -which is that Nezushi is canon. Reasons why we ship it: N&S treasure the memory of their first significant meeting deeply in their hearts, each for his own reasons, without realizing how much that changed them; they spend the 4 years after that day living a new life and thinking of each other constantly -and in Nezumi case, even spying on Sion *cough*; then they finally meet again and from then on they really starts anew, knowing each other truly as only the daily cohabitation allows, and of course ending up fighting a lot over trivial things and different point of views on the world; but despite their ideological conflicts they actually aim for the same thing (a better world to live in) and their characters integrate/affect each other so much that by the end you can’t remember there was a time in their lives when they didn’t know each other. They grew attached the more time they spend together, they lie to keep the other safe, they kiss (2 times!)… isn't that enough to ship them? ♥

5. Kurogane x Fay - The "i-finally-know-what-true-strenght-really-is" OTP.

(( credits for the picture [link] one of my favourite fanart of them, I have to say *__* ))

Kurogane and Fay are two of the main characters of TRC, one of many successful mangas from CLAMP. Now, as a fan of CLAMP myself I know they love playing & re-playing with a tons of hints when it comes to homo/lesbo relationships and never formalize them (yes, CLAMP are mean c_c but let’s consider their mangas aren’t rated as shounen ai / shoujo ai, thus it’s totally understandable why they can’t make those pairs more canon), btw since the hints CLAMP leave are many and very evident we can forgive them ♥ Kurogane and Fay are indeed one of this kind of OTPs : there's never an actual act between them (such as a kiss scene or an open 'I love you') but the sacrifices they do for each other *starts tearing up at the memories*, the drastic changings they go through for the other' sake (note. more than the physical ones -which are many and very evident though- i'm talking here about the changes in values they eventually face) and basically every gaze / act / sentence / tet a tet moment they get during their adventures ( = the understanding and mutual interest you can easily see between these two) just explain what evil!CLAMP won't let they openly admit: Kurogane and Fay are emotionally drawn to each other.

6. Lavi x Kanda Yuu - The “Friends?” OTP.

(( The pic was in my folder and I don’t remember where I found it ;_; probably google; btw if it’s yours let me know and I’ll add proper credits for your (amazing) work. ))

Lavi and Kanda are two of the main characters of D.Gray-Man and, in my opinion, apart from a superficial glance at them -from which they will surely look like the opposite poles of the Earth- they are actually pretty similar deep inside: they don’t trust people, they don’t show their true colors, they don’t open up easily (yeah, Lavi either) and they definitely don’t like to remember/talk about their pasts (one of them because it’s too dark, the other one because “a bookman has no need for a heart”); on the other side tho, they can also be passionate, protective and loyal towards the few ones they happen to care for. Now, there’s not that much interaction shown between Lavi and Kanda actually, BUT some clues here and there let you understand that they definitely talk to each other a lot, except that the mangaka didn’t put their moments in the manga *sighs* and also that they share a solid “friendship” -which is a fact: Hoshino herself labeled them as “friends ?” in the DGM fanbook page (and the question mark could mean either that they are not in friendly terms -but that’s not the case I think- or that they are something else). Sadly in the later chapters the interaction decreased even more -it couldn’t not, since Lavi’s been basically MIA since what feels like forever (;_; ) and Kanda’s past was reveled (Alma was kind of a surprise! But I like him and I also accept his past/love with Yuu; and no, I’m not betraying my LaviYuu soul: 1. the past is the past; 2. have you ever noticed Alma and Lavi personalities are actually pretty similar? Even the annoying Yuuchan is my favourite pastime part ...I wonder why Hoshino chose as the special one for past!Kanda a guy, Alma, who acts so much like Lavi coincidences don’t exist. Also, it is quite meaningful in my opinion that Lavi and Alma are the only two characters in the manga -general Tiedeoll doesn’t really count- who can safety call Kanda by his first name and get away with just a bounce of empty threats: no one else can dare as much and escape from mugen, and this is not a minor detail).

7. Seregil x Alec - The ‘Talì’ OTP.

They are the main characters from the Nightrunner books series (which is a fantasy spy / adventure story -it’s one of my favourite books and believe me when I say it’s amazing, for usually I don’t even like spy stories that much!) by Lynn Flewelling. Seregil -the long haired one in the picture- is a libertine noble guy exiled by his homeland (he is an Aurenfaie, a race with very long lifespan and who lives in a very far country on the other side of the ocean -so far away from human race that some people *pointing at Alec* even consider them just a fairytale) and who now works daily as a thief/spy for a group called the ‘Watchers’; Alec instead is a 16 years old boy who’s just been living all his life in the forests (there’s a reason for that!) with his father until the latter die leaving poor Alec alone *pats* eventually our teen ends up becoming Seregil’ s apprentice after being rescued by him and thus ends up opening his mind / becoming aware of the world & its differences the more he stays with Seregil. You can instantly see there’s something more than simply affection from Seregil part (yes, he’s been in love with Alec since *ahem* the very few moments after they met maybe? XD), while Alec, being the naive and conservative boy he is, just can’t get the clue *goes hugging rejected Seregil* BUT don’t worry, just give time to time and in less than you think (which means by the end of the second book) Seregil and Alec will finally admit their mutual feelings and become talimonios (the aurenfaie word to say they are a couple), and I swear their relationship is just so deep and empathic and beautiful I can't get enough of it ♥

8. Tsuzuki Asato x Hisoka Kurosaki - The after-death OTP.

Tsuzuki and Hisoka are the two main characters of Yami no Matsuei (an occult / detective yaoi shounen ai manga -one of my favourites), they are both shinigami (death gods / spirits) who were once humans and now work for the Underwolrd as partners. Being that the manga's been in hiatus since 2003 (although it seems it's resumed now *yay*), it's really been too long since the last time I read (or re-read) something about Tsuzuki and Hisoka, but they couldn't not get their spot in my top 10, they are too canon to be forgotten. About their personalities, they are more similar than it may seem at first glance: despite their opposite approach to people (Tsuzuki looking more easy going and Hisoka more gloomy), there's an emo side in the two of them for they had both very bad/sad lives and even worsen death’s experiences, and now, in their after-death existences, they really just need someone they can trust to hold them tight and heal their broken souls. And obviously they find that someone in each other. That’s why their OTP works, because there's a deep connection between them -even if it actually starts awkward (mostly because of Hisoka) and grows up slow (their skeletons in the closet from when they were humans don’t leave them alone).

9. Takano Masamune x Onodera Ritsu - The first-love OTP.

Is it possible for the very first love to last eternally? Definitely yes, especially if you are Takano and Onodera from SIH. These two characters were the first teen love of each other during high school but soon parted ways (some misunderstandings from Onodera part caused it) and grew up without meeting again, that until 10 years after when Onodera starts working as a manga editor and realizes his chief is actually his first abandoned love -which also (and even first) the chief realizes of course XD *yay for predictable manga plots* Anyway, the two start a really awkward relationship, in which Takano tries with all his might to win Onodera’s heart back (not that he has to work that hard: it’s pretty obvious Onodera loves him back as much, just he’s too stubborn to admit it openly *sighs*). Despite the manga being still ongoing and thus we not knowing for sure how it’ll end, I find this OTP one of the most romantic ever, the one who makes you believe that first loves can also last eternally and not simply be sweet memories of the past, as in fairytales and Disney movies; this OTP shows you how true love should work too: it’s not a matter of body gender, personalities or time spent together, true love (as persevering and patient as it is) is about fated souls and their imperishable bond, so even if life and misunderstandings might break you apart you will find your way back together. Because true love always win.

10. Xanxus x Squalo - The abusive OTP.

I’m still reading Katekyo Hitman Reborn (I’m up at volume 18) so maybe it’s kind of too soon to add a pair from it in my top 10, isn’t it? XD but I couldn’t help it with Xanxus and Squalo, their characters are very intriguing -i’m still trying to figure them out actually- and when together they are even more interesting to look at/read about. They are the boss and the second-in-command of the Varia (the assassins' squad from the Vongola, the main mafia family from the manga) and have been knowing each other since they were teens. Their relationship is actually kind of abusive and wild -they shout insults & throw things at each other the most of the time, and there really seems to be nothing like a proper love relationship in their relationship at all… but it’s Xanxus and Squalo we’re talking about and they are not common people who act trivial and average. Honestly I am still questioning myself about the nature of Xanxus’ feelings (?) for Squalo, I can’t decide if he actually cares or not -up till now he seems he doesn’t that much. As for Squalo, I feel more safe stating that he does feel something for Xanxus (he’s so loyal to his boss that it seems unhealthy, really, and no matter how abusive Xanxus may get -he’s more abusive with Squalo than with the other Varias though: could it mean something from Xanxus part I wonder?- or how hard Squalo may shout back, the second-in-command will follow his boss to hell. Squalo respects and acknowledges Xanxus, he chose him as his one and only boss and I think this, coming from a man like Squalo, states everything). Update (22/08 2012): after reading 47 & more volumes of KHR and especially chapter 398 (♥), i can safety say that there's something from Xanxus part too: XS is canon.

1. Alexander The Great and Hephaestion Amyntoros - The truer OTP ever.

(( The pic is from the movie Alexander (2004) starring Colin Farrel (Alexander) and Jared Leto (Hephaestion). I found it on google so don’t know who to credit, let me know and I’ll add you <3 ))

Alexander and Hephaestion grew up together, studied together (in the school of Mieza under philosopher Aristotele), shared the same dreams, went to wars together, compared their relationship to the one between Achilles and Patroclus (which are like the most official and canon gay couple from the ancient greek epic ever) and basically did everything is in the history books together except that history books usually cut Hepheastion’s name off *sigh* It’s also a matter of fact that after Hephaestion’s death Alexander went crazy and started drinking even more than he did: eventually he let himself die -which happened only months after Hephaestion’s own death.

2. Jung Yunho x Kim Jaejoong - The "i-don't-know-what-this-is-but-i-can-see-the-love-here" OTP.

(( The pic is a candid taken by a stalker (maybe?), I honestly don’t remember where I found this, that’s a very old picture of YunJae -the credits are on the image btw, even if they’re barely readable I know ;_; ))

Yunho and Jaejoong are and were respectively leader and main vocalist of DBSK (a very famous kpop band debuted in late 2003 *being a hard fan of them*) and also friends & roommates before that, so in all they’ve been knowing each other for over 10 years now. I am pretty sure in stating that every kpop fan has heard or read at least once about Yun & Jae (or YunJae, as they are called) and not just because they served (and still somehow serves, despite DB5K's break) the purpose of publicity stunt and fanservice (and what a great, natural, fanservice!), but because YunJae does really exist in its own way: whatever you call what's between them (solid friendship, brotherly bond, romantic interest) you can't deny there is indeed a type of love here ♥ (just look at their pics / videos / candids / quotes / interviews / etc. and you'll get my point).

Hotsuma and Shuusei are supporting characters from UraBoku, a very wonderful shounen ai / supernatural / reincarnation / fantasy / adventure / eyecandy manga - it’s one of my faves *__*; they are zweilt guardians paired together since their previous lives and while Hotsuma is a short tempered, passionate and impulsive guy which no one has control over except for Shuusei *otp otp otp*, Shuusei is the quit, mature and very polite type, to the point to look detached sometimes - he also takes a lot of things for himself thus ends up lying a lot, especially to Hotsuma (even if Hotsuma can always tell when Shuusei is hiding something); basically their relationship is something you can easily label as a deep one but also, being it so full of things unsaid and regrets and sorrowful memories, you can feel the angst too *tear* Oh, have I mentioned that in their previous lives Shuusei was a female and Hotsuma and him were married?! …I know, how more canon should the mangaka put it? XD

4. Nezumi x Sion - The vowed OTP.

Nezumi and Sion are the main characters of No.6, a Japanese novel series made into an anime / manga. I still wonder why the series wasn’t labeled as shounen ai -maybe not to attract a specific range of readers / watchers only? (yeah, I'm talking of shounen ai / yaoi fans *raises her hand*). Anyway, we don't need a tag to prove our point -which is that Nezushi is canon. Reasons why we ship it: N&S treasure the memory of their first significant meeting deeply in their hearts, each for his own reasons, without realizing how much that changed them; they spend the 4 years after that day living a new life and thinking of each other constantly -and in Nezumi case, even spying on Sion *cough*; then they finally meet again and from then on they really starts anew, knowing each other truly as only the daily cohabitation allows, and of course ending up fighting a lot over trivial things and different point of views on the world; but despite their ideological conflicts they actually aim for the same thing (a better world to live in) and their characters integrate/affect each other so much that by the end you can’t remember there was a time in their lives when they didn’t know each other. They grew attached the more time they spend together, they lie to keep the other safe, they kiss (2 times!)… isn't that enough to ship them? ♥

5. Kurogane x Fay - The "i-finally-know-what-true-strenght-really-is" OTP.

Kurogane and Fay are two of the main characters of TRC, one of many successful mangas from CLAMP. Now, as a fan of CLAMP myself I know they love playing & re-playing with a tons of hints when it comes to homo/lesbo relationships and never formalize them (yes, CLAMP are mean c_c but let’s consider their mangas aren’t rated as shounen ai / shoujo ai, thus it’s totally understandable why they can’t make those pairs more canon), btw since the hints CLAMP leave are many and very evident we can forgive them ♥ Kurogane and Fay are indeed one of this kind of OTPs : there's never an actual act between them (such as a kiss scene or an open 'I love you') but the sacrifices they do for each other *starts tearing up at the memories*, the drastic changings they go through for the other' sake (note. more than the physical ones -which are many and very evident though- i'm talking here about the changes in values they eventually face) and basically every gaze / act / sentence / tet a tet moment they get during their adventures ( = the understanding and mutual interest you can easily see between these two) just explain what evil!CLAMP won't let they openly admit: Kurogane and Fay are emotionally drawn to each other.

6. Lavi x Kanda Yuu - The “Friends?” OTP.

Lavi and Kanda are two of the main characters of D.Gray-Man and, in my opinion, apart from a superficial glance at them -from which they will surely look like the opposite poles of the Earth- they are actually pretty similar deep inside: they don’t trust people, they don’t show their true colors, they don’t open up easily (yeah, Lavi either) and they definitely don’t like to remember/talk about their pasts (one of them because it’s too dark, the other one because “a bookman has no need for a heart”); on the other side tho, they can also be passionate, protective and loyal towards the few ones they happen to care for. Now, there’s not that much interaction shown between Lavi and Kanda actually, BUT some clues here and there let you understand that they definitely talk to each other a lot, except that the mangaka didn’t put their moments in the manga *sighs* and also that they share a solid “friendship” -which is a fact: Hoshino herself labeled them as “friends ?” in the DGM fanbook page (and the question mark could mean either that they are not in friendly terms -but that’s not the case I think- or that they are something else). Sadly in the later chapters the interaction decreased even more -it couldn’t not, since Lavi’s been basically MIA since what feels like forever (;_; ) and Kanda’s past was reveled (Alma was kind of a surprise! But I like him and I also accept his past/love with Yuu; and no, I’m not betraying my LaviYuu soul: 1. the past is the past; 2. have you ever noticed Alma and Lavi personalities are actually pretty similar? Even the annoying Yuuchan is my favourite pastime part ...I wonder why Hoshino chose as the special one for past!Kanda a guy, Alma, who acts so much like Lavi coincidences don’t exist. Also, it is quite meaningful in my opinion that Lavi and Alma are the only two characters in the manga -general Tiedeoll doesn’t really count- who can safety call Kanda by his first name and get away with just a bounce of empty threats: no one else can dare as much and escape from mugen, and this is not a minor detail).

At first glance, Nefe can be described as contemplative, quiet, tall, and intelligent. But that all changes when you get to know her better. She is friendly, caring, indecisive and a little on the wacky side. Nefe also suffers from a pretty low self-esteem due to her klutziness and extraordinary height. It takes a bit to frustrate or anger her, but certain things bring out the worst in her. It sometimes takes Nefe a great deal of motivation to do things, especially if they're strenuous or repetitive in nature.

Likes:
Sleeping outdoors, catching new pokemon, drawing, smiling and laughing, Psyducks, reading, pointing out the obvious, blue, any body of water, swimming.

Dislikes:
Caves, zubats, mean-spirited trainers, relentless wild pokemon, headaches, liars, the color pink, narcissism, doing or saying things more than once.

Also, they DO have separate male and female sexes, but no sexual dimorphism to speak of (although some inconsistent data suggests that females may tend to be a tiny bit larger than males). They also do not have external genitalia of any form. Fertilization occurs intravenously, and females give birth to 2-8 pups simply by allowing them to tear through her abdomen, like a natural C-section. They survive this process because no other major organs are located in their abdomen, they have excellent healing abilities, and their pain sensors shut down during the birthing process. After birth, the precocial pups protect their mother during recovery. Females who have given birth previously can be identified via abdominal scars. (The first birthing is definitely the most violent. Lieke came from a very rich family, back in the days when things were normal her mother worked as a model and her father was a surgeon ((not really a good one at that)). Since her Dad would be home most of the time she'd follow him around. When her mother would be home she'd take Lieke out shopping. The one thing she loved the most was dressing Lieke up and making her look beautiful.

When Lieke was at home with her father, he experimented on her. She wasn't actually aware of it, he just called it a game. He experimented on her trapezium, because he actually had arthritis pain and had no choice but to remove his own trapeziums. ((Yes, he removed his own trapeziums))

As he experimented he found out how to make them stronger and more flexible. But it was only successful in her left hand. He wasn't entirely sure why.

After a while things were good until her father had found out that her mother was cheating on him. To spite her in the most way possible he wanted to ruin the one thing she loved, Lieke.

Because he was already so envious of his wife, young and beautiful. He wasn't rather surprised when she cheated on him, he was a little old not AS handsome but he did have money. So when her mother got home he made her watch him burn Lieke's eyes closed.

Lieke's mother hit him with an object and ran away with Lieke in her arms. She was hospitalized for a while and was treated for the burns, but unfortunately the doctors couldn't really do anything. Her mother never really looked at her the same, so she didn't marry again. When she stayed home, out of pity she'd put make up on Lieke to try and maker her look beautiful, in hopes that maybe she would get better.

A few years after Lieke's 19th birthday her mother spent all her money on alcohol and drank herself to death. She now lives with her aunt. During the day her aunt works as a waitress, but at night she's a street fighter. She's the complete opposite of her sister.

Weapon/Fighting Style:

The bone itself gives Lieke the durability and flexibility of her hands. She is able to bend them a more further than normal humans can. This is important for her because this helps Lieke disarm her enemies. She's able to move and twist her hands to grab her enemies' weapon and use them against them.

The small gauntlet is essential to her if she were fighting many enemies. Note the gauntlet is not her ossa, but the ossa does hep the gauntlet become more stronger and relieves stress from her hand. Because the trapezium is helps us "clamp" onto objects, the gauntlet is what helps Lieke keep a stronger grip. She will usually dig the claw deep into whatever she is grabbing into and rip it from the object from it's joint. But the secondary use would have to be to throw even harder punches. Although this is a small weapon it is pretty heavy in comparison.

Her fighting is very aggressive and very unexpected when coming from someone so reserved. She rarely uses her gauntlet and depends on her disarming technique to get a hold of a weapon.

Ossa:

Trapezium, well I chose this bone because I thought it was rather interesting how small it was but it had such an important role! Trapeziums are a part of the wrist but it is more closer to the hand, "It allows the thumb to swivel, bend, and clasp things."

Hence the gauntlet and disarming fighting style. Gauntlet clasps while disarming requires swivel and bend!

Her eyes are a light blue colour and the fringe of Talulla's hair stops just above them.

Lucrecia was born as the child of a fairly wealthy family living in Slateport City. Both she and her older sister, Eris Falkenrath, were under the constant pressure of their parents high expectations : a B was a disgrace; piano lessons ; hardly and free time - it was almost as if they were trying to fit into every single stereotype about strict parents. The couple wanted both of their daughters to follow their example and become lawyers, but instead both daughters aspired to become scientists. First Eris, then Lucrecia went againt their parents wishes and went to study abroad one after another.

Just as Lucrecia took up her job at Silph Co., Eris fell into a coma, after her research caused her to have a rather ugly run in with the legendary Darkrai, trapping the older sister in a nightmare for two full years. In the meantime, Lucrecia concentrated all her efforts on her work, hoping to find a way to liberate her older sister from the nightmare. It turned Lucrecia into a terrible workaholic and more than one of her relationships couldn't handle this almost insane dedication to her job. After Eris finally awoke, it quickly became clear, that she became completely unhinged, after being exposed to Darkrai's nightmare for too long.

After Eris had to flee from the police because of her...rather unsavoury acts , Lucrecia followed her sister who fled to Sinnoh as a result of that. Here, she met a boy named Blair, whose self-proclaimed travelling companion she became. Lucrecia slowly became a cheerful big sister figure to the introverted boy and slowly started to get him out of his shell. It had never been fully clear what became of her after that - and it doesn't help that she prefers to gloss over anything pertaining to that time, nor does she give away her older sister's whereabouts.

Eleven years after that, Lucrecia decided to not take up her job as a scientist again, but become a drifter and roam across all the corners of the earth, without restrictions. She only coincidentally heard of the tournament in Nimbasa City and entered spontaneously, accompanied by her boyfriend, whom she pretty much only refers to as "The Guv".

Just as Lucrecia took up her job at Silph Co., Eris fell into a coma, after her research caused her to have a rather ugly run in with the legendary Darkrai, trapping the older sister in a nightmare for two full years. In the meantime, Lucrecia concentrated all her efforts on her work, hoping to find a way to liberate her older sister from the nightmare. It turned Lucrecia into a terrible workaholic and more than one of her relationships couldn't handle this almost insane dedication to her job. After Eris finally awoke, it quickly became clear, that she became completely unhinged, after being exposed to Darkrai's nightmare for too long.

After Eris had to flee from the police because of her...rather unsavoury acts , Lucrecia followed her sister who fled to Sinnoh as a result of that. Here, she met a boy named Blair, whose self-proclaimed travelling companion she became. Lucrecia slowly became a cheerful big sister figure to the introverted boy and slowly started to get him out of his shell. It had never been fully clear what became of her after that - and it doesn't help that she prefers to gloss over anything pertaining to that time, nor does she give away her older sister's whereabouts.

Eleven years after that, Lucrecia decided to not take up her job as a scientist again, but become a drifter and roam across all the corners of the earth, without restrictions. She only coincidentally heard of the tournament in Nimbasa City and entered spontaneously, accompanied by her boyfriend, whom she pretty much only refers to as "The Guv".

But the Authority is cool I have to admit, I was looking for a little Happily Ever After, but even without it The Authority is amazing. Midnighter is there because he's the coolest. KEV is the issue where that former british SAS agent pisses the pants off of our psycho superheroes. Kev is a must-read... British humor and everything.

30)VAGABOND. MUST READ!! It's a manga about the swordsman Muzashi, his life story. The art is beautiful. My friend got the artbook...I was so jealous.
31)SNAKE from METAL GEAR SOLID. The most awesomest game ever! Funny, seeing as I haven't had a chance to play it yet. I just love the characters and the art. And the Hal/Dave slash stories. LOL

This is the scene in one of the issues where Grifter goes to Midnighter for information, when he(midnighter) is giving some sort of speech or something at a gay nightclub. the combination of cigarettes, alcohol, and first time use of cocaine, caused him a heart attack.

they started treatment as soon as the ambulance got him.
hes on Aspirin, Nitroglycerin, Oxygen therapy, and treatment for chest pains. since cocaine was part of the attack, the treatment for CHD is different..there is no treatment for CHD.. because it wasnt caused by a waxy build up, but by a Coronary Artery Spasm, caused by the cocaine. he'll go back to regular life in a few weeks.. but alot of things need to be changed..

She was Mr. President's assistant for years, and now is in PokeCity to help Achilles not lose his job, working as his temporary secretary (in the job that was previously Penelope's).

It is not sure if Delilah is or not married, but she still wears a ring and her kids always travel in the weekend to see their father. She had two kids with him, the older one is a Gothita boy called Orpheus, a well-mannered boy to whom she ofter refers as "my little prince" (and dress him as such) and a younger girl called Cassandra (or Cassie for short), which Delilah always try to dress very girly but the girl seems to enjoy getting herself dirty for no apparent reason. Orpheus is five and can talk but often doesn't make sense (seems to like dressing up though); Cassie is three and only speaks random words and is most of the time doing something wrong. Delilah is also pregnant and expecting a third son or daughter.


Personality: Upbeat and optmistic, nothing never seems to bring Delilah down (at least in front of others) and she always seem to have something positive to say about things, no matter how bad they look. Though she's much smarter now than when she was younger, still can be pretty naive or not understand things at times (or pretend she didn't understand?).

Delilah will do what she can to make people around her happy... which makes her a pretty forgiving mother and she has pretty much no control of her kids. Her pets buizel and floatzel, Daemon and Pearl (respectively) seem to be the only ones who always do as she says.

Delilah has a strange obssession for cute things, which often reflects in her work... but overall she's pretty competent with what she do.

Personality: Tela is... not the most polite person around xD In fact, most of the time he's very insensitive to others' feeling, and think that all problems can be solved by drinking, fighting and hanging out with women (and often, multiple of these at once). No wonder, his preferred place in all PokeCity is the Tavern. Unlike Achilles, Tela WILL DO drink until he pass out, unless someone keep tabs on him.

He's easily befriended, though, and often rude, but not on purpose... it's just the way he is, since at heart he's a very simple man, with a big heart and a big mouth. Likes to call everyone "kid". Is very responsible with his job, but pretty much like Achilles, doesn't like much paperwork, leaving all these matters to Karl Bones, his Kabutops assistant and former Team Quartz grunt. Has a very good connection with Achilles, after that one tense night where they first met.

Some were hard to fill in, because some didn’t really have any inspirations behind them while others had a lot. Ha ha! Prepare for text vomit!!

Ferdinand Kalbfleisch

1) Percy Wetmore: I love the movie ‘The Green Mile’, and for some reason Percy Wetmore ended up being my favorite character. So, when I decided I needed to make a new character up for my story to be a Rapportführer and I wanted him to be kind of a dick, Percy Wetmore popped into my mind.
2) Black Cat: If I had to pick an animal to represent Ferdinand I would pick a Black Cat. Cats in general are perceived as sleek, elegant, mysterious, mischievous, cold, distant, and manipulative; all traits I would associate with Ferdinand. Black Cats specifically are believed to be rather ominous, what with their link to witchcraft and superstitions about them crossing your path. So, yeah.
3) Hemlock: If I had to pick a plant to represent Ferdinand, I would pick Hemlock. Hemlock’s meaning in the language of flowers is ‘You will be my death.’
4) Kurt Hummel/Chris Colfer: When designing Ferdinand, I was at a loss for a hairstyle for him. I drew sketch after sketch, but nothing looked right. So, I watched my favorite show Glee to ease my frustration. It was an episode in which Kurt was still at Dalton Academy, and I noticed how amazing his hair looked when he styled it the way he did throughout the Dalton Academy Arc. So, Ferdinand’s hair is based on Kurt’s/Chris’ Dalton hairstyle.
5) Butcher: I bet you’re wondering how Ferdinand was inspired by a butcher. Well, from what I’ve gathered ‘round the ‘net, most Rapportführer were in charge of executions or at the very least present at them. Also take into account his last name. Kalbfleisch is an occupational surname that indicated a butcher who sold veal meat or a butcher who slaughtered calves. In German kalb means "calf" and fleisch means "meat". So in my mind I thought execute equals slaughter, which equals butcher and the people he executes are the ‘calves.’ Also, I imagine his family owns a butcher shop as well since Kalbfleisch is an occupational surname.
6) Opera Music: Ferdinand is pretty much the only character so far in my story who is ‘bad’. He’s not bad because he’s a Nazi, he’d be a jerk no matter what. That’s just who he is. Anyways, back on track. Opera music. I think when a ‘bad’ character loves something beautiful it really accents their evil. Like a foil. Think of Doctor Hannibal Lecter. He is sophisticated, intelligent, artistic, and loves classical music. Now, all those lovely things seem to make him seen so much more creeper to me. They contrast brightly against his cannibalistic side, make it seem much more scary, right? I know when I watch scary movies, I’m far more freaked out when instead of scary sounds I hear classical music and Opera. You KNOW something bad is going to happen when you hear beautiful music. So, Ferdinand loves opera music. I imagine he plays it during executions.

Moritz Adlersflügel

1) Edelweiss: If I had to pick a plant to represent Moritz, it would be Edelweiss. In the language of flowers Edelweiss means ‘Daring; Noble Courage.’ If that doesn’t describe Moritz I don’t know what does.
2) Jack Dawson/Leonardo DiCaprio: I was watching Titanic the first time I sketched Moritz. I didn’t realize it at the time, but I think that’s where I got his hairstyle. Moritz’s hair is a little shorter, but the resembles is uncanny to Jack’s/Leo’s!
3) Right and Wrong: A strong sense of right and wrong is strongly ingrained into Moritz. I wouldn’t necessarily say this inspired Moritz, but it’s a big part of him. Plus, I needed something to fill in the empty space.
4) Hummel figurines: Moritz looks like one of these little figurines come to life. With his pale skin, light blonde hair, and rosy cheeks.
5) Schindler & Others: Anyone who risked their lives to do what was right and save others no matter what the cost is ultimately what inspired Moritz. He’s the hero in my eyes. <3

Wilson Yancy

1) Fancy School Uniforms: I love fancy Boy’s school uniforms. Knee socks, blazers, button up, ties, and bow ties. Ugh, so much love for uniforms. I imagine Wilson went to fancy schools his whole life from kindergarten to college. Even out of school, I can picture him studying with his brother while dressed in cute little sweater vest, bow ties, and nice shoes.
2) WWII Medics: I love Medics. Imagine the guts it takes to go into a battle without weapons, dodging bullets and trying to save people’s lives while risking your own in the midst of chaos. While bearing the red cross emblem is supposed to keep Medics safe from enemy fire, it usually was like placing a big target on them! ‘Cuz hey, if you take out the guy saving the lives of your enemy, you have less enemies to worry about.
3) Nervousness: I wouldn’t say nervousness inspired Wilson, the trait came after his creation, but I felt it was a defining character trait that made Wilson who he is. He is a very nervous/anxious person.
4) Nausea: Another trait that came after Wilson’s creation, but I felt it was an important defining character trait, that I had to add it as well. Wilson gets nauseous very easily. Surprisingly, blood, guts, and all the medical operation stuff does not bother him in the least. It's the simple things that make him ill to his stomach. Things like oatmeal, car rides, perfume, when people crinkle newspaper, dirty finger nails, the sound of metal on metal, hearing the word "sliced" with the words "Achilles' tendon" in the same sentence... just to name a few. When I think of Wilson getting nauseous, I picture Filbert from Rocko’s modern life saying his catch phrase, “I’m nauseous. I’m nauseous. I’m nauseous.”
5) England: When I first went about creating my Medic character, there was one thing I was certain I wanted about him. I wanted him to be English. I haven’t decided what part of England yet, so any input is welcomed! Whatever part is rather fancy and has very nice schools I think would be right for Wilson. Also, Whatever part he is from, he has the accent that corresponds with that part of England.
6) Cho Hakkai: Cho Hakkai is my favorite manga character ever. I would be lying if I said he wasn’t in my mind when I created Wilson. While Hakkai is an excellent fighter, he is mostly the Medic of the Sanzo-ikkou. Hakkai and Wilson are very different personality wise, but both take on a mother hen role within the group, and both are very book smart as well.
7) Christmas rose/helleborus: If I had to pick a plant to represent Wilson, it would be Christmas rose/helleborus. In the language of flowers Christmas rose/helleborus means ‘Relieve my Anxiety.’

Chip Hawkins

1) Harlequin Flower: If I had to pick a plant to represent Chip, it would be the Harlequin Flower. In the language of flowers Harlequin Flowers mean ‘Laugh at trouble.’ Chip is the jokester of the group, so I imagine he does this quite a lot.
2) Cocoa Beach: My Aunt lives in Cocoa beach, and it is lovely in my opinion once you get past the tourist-y areas. I bet it was really nice way back in the 40’s. I loved visiting my Aunt and boating and having fun. My happy memories about Cocoa Beach inspired it to be Chip’s home. He lives within walking distance from the beach. I imagine him and his brother fished, went boating, surfed, and hung out at the port and the pier their whole lives growing up.
3) My little Sister’s sense of humor My little Sister Lexi has the most hilarious sense of humor. It’s a little odd and out there, but I get it and I love it. She and I find the same things funny, and can laugh for hours at the line, “What’s so great about that? He didn’t even make it to Germany…” When I created Chip, I didn’t realize he was basically the male version of my sister until I was asking her some question about how she thought I should move my story forward, and she started giving lines the characters could say and getting up and acting out scenes… and it was so… Chip. Every line she said was hilarious and exactly what Chip would have said and every action she did was what Chip would have done. I was just like, “Whoa, Lexi… You are the female embodiment of Chip.” We then split a can of Diet Dr Pepper and talked about how the government was listening to us through the Tv. Then she picked up our dog’s back legs and screamed, “Bear has no back legs!!”
4) Fighter Pilots: I love Fighter Pilots. I love the parachutes, and the dog fighting, and the planes, and the pilotsss. <3 My love for Fighter Pilots inspired my Fighter Pilot Chip.
5) The Name Chip: The name Chip inspired my whole character Chip. I was thinking of a awesome Pilot name for a character who could be best friends with Peter, and the best Pilot name ever popped in my head… Chip. I mean, you can’t say the name without thinking Pilot. It’s just one of those names that screams Pilot to me. It also screams for comedy. I mean, how many boring people named Chip do you know? Chip has to be the name of a fun, happy, hilarious, good guy. It’s like a law or something.
6) River Otter: If I had to pick an animal to represent Chip, it would be a River Otter. They are cute and hyper and they seem to match Chip’s personality so much to me. Even the way the one in the picture is sticking it’s tongue out. It’s a little trickster!

Peter Sanders

1) Fighter Pilots: I love Fighter Pilots. I love the parachutes, and the dog fighting, and the planes, and the pilotsss. <3 My love for Fighter Pilots inspired my Fighter Pilot Peter.
2) Strawberries: If I had to pick a fruit to represent Peter, it would be the strawberry. A strawberry bush signifies perpetuity, or that the just man shall never wither; Love; Symbol of purity and sensuality, fertility and abundance, humility and modesty; symbolizes righteousness; sweetness in life and character.
3) Shooting Star: Peter is my little shooting star! Whenever I doodle a picture of him on a scrap of paper, he is usually saying, “I’m a shooting star leaping through the sky” or something like that.
4) Grandma: My Grandma was a huge inspiration behind Peter. Her last name is Sanders, which is where Peter got his. I remember growing up I always thought Sanders was an excellent Military last name. I can just hear the drill sergeants shouting, “SANDERS!! FRONT AND CENTER!” Whenever I drew miscellaneous soldiers in my 8th grade art class, his nametag always said Sanders. So, when I created my own Military character you could guess what this last name would be. Also, she is from West Virginia, which is where Peter is from. She always spoke of the beautiful mountains and creeks, and the freezing winters. She spoke of the coalmines and growing up there. A lot of Peter’s background is straight from things my Grandma has said to me.
5) Cardinal: If I had to pick a animal to represent Peter, it would be the cardinal. I’m not sure exactly why, it was just the first thing that popped in my head and it just seemed to fit. I like to think it’s because Cardinals are so bright and vivid they stand out against it’s surroundings, and when you see one you just can’t seem to look away from it until it flies away. And, after it flies away you wish it would fly back so you could catch a glimpse of it just one more time. At least, that’s what I think whenever I see a cardinal.
6) Baseball: Peter is a avid baseball fan. He loves playing it, he loves watching it, he loves teaching it, and he loves talking about it. It’s an American pastime so I guess that’s one reason why it inspired a part of Peter. I wanted him to seem like a typical American boy.
7) Behind Enemy Lines: I’ve always like this movie. It’s really good. Late one night it came on so I watched it for the millionth time. That night I fell asleep and had a really good dream. I didn’t remember all of it, but I did remember it was about a pilot during WWII. That inspired me to make a Role Play idea that I never started but I still really liked the story I had made up in my head but continued to keep it to myself and never do anything with it. Then one day my sister had a school project where she had to write a small book for a contest, but she was at a loss for ideas. I pitched my pilot story, and she loved it! But, she ended up switching schools and didn’t do the project. So, now that I had pitched the idea to my sister and she had liked it, I knew my story was a good one, so it inspired me to really try and write it! And, it never would of happened if I didn’t watch Behind Enemy Lines late at night before going to bed. xD

Demyan Kaminski:

1) Ushanka: I love Ushankas. They are so cute and warm and I like drawing them.
2) Famous Snipers: How could I create a sniper character and not research famous snipers to get inspiration and the do’s and don’ts of sniping? I’ve always loved snipers. I even wanted to be one at one point in time. Ha ha! Even though I am terrified of guns, I’m so inspired by them as well. But a gun is only has good as it’s holder, which is why I’m even more inspired by the person holding the gun.
3) Russian Culture/Art/History: I love different cultures, art, and history. And even though I’m horrible at retaining information, I still love learning and reading about the world. Feed me knowledge…and pork chops. Anyways, Russian culture, art, and history are unlimited inspirations for me!
4) The Russian Alphabet: I love the Russian Alphabet. I love the way it looks when written, and the way it sounds. I can’t even begin to even guess how to speak or write it without the use of an online translator, and even those are wrong 99.8 percent of the time, but I still like writing it anyways.
5) Busted Noses: Even before I designed Demyan, I had in my mind that he had a wonky nose because he had had it broken at least three times in his life. I like drawing blood, and my desire to draw him with a busted nose inspired this physical feature.

1) Hans Landa: I wouldn’t say Friedrich was inspired by Hans Landa, ‘cuz I’ve had Friedrich around even before I had seen Inglourious Basterds. But, I would say Hans inspired Friedrich’s humor. I find Hans incredibly endearing because of his little quips and cute lines like, “That’s a Bingo!” I can imagine Friedrich saying things like that because he does not speak English, but when if he tried it would probably be funny like that.
2) Cardinal Flower: If I had to pick a plant to represent Friedrich, it would be the Cardinal Flower. In the language of flowers Cardinal Flowers mean ‘Eminence (Superiority).’ Friedrich definitely believes he is superior to anyone else.
3) Rapid Mood Swings: I imagine Friedrich having very rapid mood swings. He may suffer from an undiagnosed case of Rapid cycling Bipolar disorder. One minute he can be joking and being hilarious and actually being rather friendly, then he can do a 360 and put a bullet between the eyes of the first person that says one thing he does not like. It could be something like, “Oh, a prisoner escaped.” to “Oh, you seem to have a wrinkle in your uniform.” that sets him off. Then after he flies off the handle he may tell a joke, and go write some reports while he chats with Ferdinand about the weather.
4) Gelled Back Hair: I love gelled back hair on a “baddie.” I especially like it when they go a little wild or fly off the handle and you can see some of their gelled hair falling into their face. It’s like a metaphor or something.
5) Uniforms: Uniforms. Have I not already expressed my love for them? Let me do it again. I love Uniforms. <3 Especially Military Uniforms. Specifically this uniform. I love the Black and Red. Those colors were chosen to intimidate and strike fear and I believe they succeeded! When Friedrich was first created, he was in the SS, so he wore this uniform, but later down the line I changed him to a SS Totenkopfverbände. So, being fair, it was the SS uniform and my desire to draw it that helped create and shape Friedrich in the beginning.

Skip Hawkins:

1) Sailors: I love Sailors. Well, anyone in a uniform, really. But, yeah, Sailors! <3 So, my love for sailors and my desire to draw them really inspired the creation of Skip.
2) Ocean: I love the ocean. I hate the beach, but love the ocean. I imagine being a Sailor, you have to love the ocean as well. Skip is Chip’s older brother, so he grew up living right next to the ocean in Cocoa. The ocean is a major part of Skip’s life, and it also helped inspire Skip’s creation as well. Also, his eyes are the color of the ocean.
3) Australian Gold: Me and my sister were talking about the scent of Australian gold a little while ago, and we came to the same conclusion. The smell is amazing, reminds us both of the ocean, and it smells just like our Dad always does. The smell brings back memories to me, and also it’s how I imagine Skip would smell. Ha ha! Also, now that I brought up my Dad a few sentences back, I can see an eerie similarity between him and Skip that I hadn’t realized until right this very second as I type this. If I hadn’t already filled out the meme, I’d have to go back and place a picture of my Dad in it, ‘cuz I guess he was a huge inspiration without me realizing it! He has similar hair, not as wavy, but it flips up in the back if it grows to long, they both smell of Australian Gold, they both have an ‘x’ scar on their chin and a scar on his knuckle, they both love fishing and boating, and I think my Dad’s favorite animal is an Otter. xD
4) Fishing: Growing up on the ocean, you can bet fishing is a major part of Skip’s life. Cocoa beach has lovely charter boats that take you out fishing, but I imagine Skip would have his own boat. I love fishing. It’s one thing my Dad loves that I love doing with him. You know, bonding time and whatnot. I grew up fishing, so I guess that my childhood fishing memories inspired this part of Skip.
5) Sea Otter: If I had to pick and animal to represent Skip, it would be the Sea otter. Chip is a River otter and Skip’s a Sea otter. Sea otters are cute, playful, clever, and chill with the ocean. They match Skip’s personality in my opinion.
6) Nautical Things: In case you didn’t know, I love Nautical things. Anchors, Sailors, boats, fish, buoys, nets, oceans, ropes, seagulls, lighthouses, anything related to the sea I love. My love for nautical things inspired the creation of Skip.

'Shooting stars over Germany' and all its characters © Me ]]> Below I’ll explain all the different inspirations behind my characters. Some were hard to fill in, because some didn’t really have any inspirations behind them while others had a lot. Ha ha! Prepare for text vomit!!

Ferdinand Kalbfleisch

1) Percy Wetmore: I love the movie ‘The Green Mile’, and for some reason Percy Wetmore ended up being my favorite character. So, when I decided I needed to make a new character up for my story to be a Rapportführer and I wanted him to be kind of a dick, Percy Wetmore popped into my mind.
2) Black Cat: If I had to pick an animal to represent Ferdinand I would pick a Black Cat. Cats in general are perceived as sleek, elegant, mysterious, mischievous, cold, distant, and manipulative; all traits I would associate with Ferdinand. Black Cats specifically are believed to be rather ominous, what with their link to witchcraft and superstitions about them crossing your path. So, yeah.
3) Hemlock: If I had to pick a plant to represent Ferdinand, I would pick Hemlock. Hemlock’s meaning in the language of flowers is ‘You will be my death.’
4) Kurt Hummel/Chris Colfer: When designing Ferdinand, I was at a loss for a hairstyle for him. I drew sketch after sketch, but nothing looked right. So, I watched my favorite show Glee to ease my frustration. It was an episode in which Kurt was still at Dalton Academy, and I noticed how amazing his hair looked when he styled it the way he did throughout the Dalton Academy Arc. So, Ferdinand’s hair is based on Kurt’s/Chris’ Dalton hairstyle.
5) Butcher: I bet you’re wondering how Ferdinand was inspired by a butcher. Well, from what I’ve gathered ‘round the ‘net, most Rapportführer were in charge of executions or at the very least present at them. Also take into account his last name. Kalbfleisch is an occupational surname that indicated a butcher who sold veal meat or a butcher who slaughtered calves. In German kalb means "calf" and fleisch means "meat". So in my mind I thought execute equals slaughter, which equals butcher and the people he executes are the ‘calves.’ Also, I imagine his family owns a butcher shop as well since Kalbfleisch is an occupational surname.
6) Opera Music: Ferdinand is pretty much the only character so far in my story who is ‘bad’. He’s not bad because he’s a Nazi, he’d be a jerk no matter what. That’s just who he is. Anyways, back on track. Opera music. I think when a ‘bad’ character loves something beautiful it really accents their evil. Like a foil. Think of Doctor Hannibal Lecter. He is sophisticated, intelligent, artistic, and loves classical music. Now, all those lovely things seem to make him seen so much more creeper to me. They contrast brightly against his cannibalistic side, make it seem much more scary, right? I know when I watch scary movies, I’m far more freaked out when instead of scary sounds I hear classical music and Opera. You KNOW something bad is going to happen when you hear beautiful music. So, Ferdinand loves opera music. I imagine he plays it during executions.

Moritz Adlersflügel

1) Edelweiss: If I had to pick a plant to represent Moritz, it would be Edelweiss. In the language of flowers Edelweiss means ‘Daring; Noble Courage.’ If that doesn’t describe Moritz I don’t know what does.
2) Jack Dawson/Leonardo DiCaprio: I was watching Titanic the first time I sketched Moritz. I didn’t realize it at the time, but I think that’s where I got his hairstyle. Moritz’s hair is a little shorter, but the resembles is uncanny to Jack’s/Leo’s!
3) Right and Wrong: A strong sense of right and wrong is strongly ingrained into Moritz. I wouldn’t necessarily say this inspired Moritz, but it’s a big part of him. Plus, I needed something to fill in the empty space.
4) Hummel figurines: Moritz looks like one of these little figurines come to life. With his pale skin, light blonde hair, and rosy cheeks.
5) Schindler & Others: Anyone who risked their lives to do what was right and save others no matter what the cost is ultimately what inspired Moritz. He’s the hero in my eyes. <3

Wilson Yancy

1) Fancy School Uniforms: I love fancy Boy’s school uniforms. Knee socks, blazers, button up, ties, and bow ties. Ugh, so much love for uniforms. I imagine Wilson went to fancy schools his whole life from kindergarten to college. Even out of school, I can picture him studying with his brother while dressed in cute little sweater vest, bow ties, and nice shoes.
2) WWII Medics: I love Medics. Imagine the guts it takes to go into a battle without weapons, dodging bullets and trying to save people’s lives while risking your own in the midst of chaos. While bearing the red cross emblem is supposed to keep Medics safe from enemy fire, it usually was like placing a big target on them! ‘Cuz hey, if you take out the guy saving the lives of your enemy, you have less enemies to worry about.
3) Nervousness: I wouldn’t say nervousness inspired Wilson, the trait came after his creation, but I felt it was a defining character trait that made Wilson who he is. He is a very nervous/anxious person.
4) Nausea: Another trait that came after Wilson’s creation, but I felt it was an important defining character trait, that I had to add it as well. Wilson gets nauseous very easily. Surprisingly, blood, guts, and all the medical operation stuff does not bother him in the least. It's the simple things that make him ill to his stomach. Things like oatmeal, car rides, perfume, when people crinkle newspaper, dirty finger nails, the sound of metal on metal, hearing the word "sliced" with the words "Achilles' tendon" in the same sentence... just to name a few. When I think of Wilson getting nauseous, I picture Filbert from Rocko’s modern life saying his catch phrase, “I’m nauseous. I’m nauseous. I’m nauseous.”
5) England: When I first went about creating my Medic character, there was one thing I was certain I wanted about him. I wanted him to be English. I haven’t decided what part of England yet, so any input is welcomed! Whatever part is rather fancy and has very nice schools I think would be right for Wilson. Also, Whatever part he is from, he has the accent that corresponds with that part of England.
6) Cho Hakkai: Cho Hakkai is my favorite manga character ever. I would be lying if I said he wasn’t in my mind when I created Wilson. While Hakkai is an excellent fighter, he is mostly the Medic of the Sanzo-ikkou. Hakkai and Wilson are very different personality wise, but both take on a mother hen role within the group, and both are very book smart as well.
7) Christmas rose/helleborus: If I had to pick a plant to represent Wilson, it would be Christmas rose/helleborus. In the language of flowers Christmas rose/helleborus means ‘Relieve my Anxiety.’

Chip Hawkins

1) Harlequin Flower: If I had to pick a plant to represent Chip, it would be the Harlequin Flower. In the language of flowers Harlequin Flowers mean ‘Laugh at trouble.’ Chip is the jokester of the group, so I imagine he does this quite a lot.
2) Cocoa Beach: My Aunt lives in Cocoa beach, and it is lovely in my opinion once you get past the tourist-y areas. I bet it was really nice way back in the 40’s. I loved visiting my Aunt and boating and having fun. My happy memories about Cocoa Beach inspired it to be Chip’s home. He lives within walking distance from the beach. I imagine him and his brother fished, went boating, surfed, and hung out at the port and the pier their whole lives growing up.
3) My little Sister’s sense of humor My little Sister Lexi has the most hilarious sense of humor. It’s a little odd and out there, but I get it and I love it. She and I find the same things funny, and can laugh for hours at the line, “What’s so great about that? He didn’t even make it to Germany…” When I created Chip, I didn’t realize he was basically the male version of my sister until I was asking her some question about how she thought I should move my story forward, and she started giving lines the characters could say and getting up and acting out scenes… and it was so… Chip. Every line she said was hilarious and exactly what Chip would have said and every action she did was what Chip would have done. I was just like, “Whoa, Lexi… You are the female embodiment of Chip.” We then split a can of Diet Dr Pepper and talked about how the government was listening to us through the Tv. Then she picked up our dog’s back legs and screamed, “Bear has no back legs!!”
4) Fighter Pilots: I love Fighter Pilots. I love the parachutes, and the dog fighting, and the planes, and the pilotsss. <3 My love for Fighter Pilots inspired my Fighter Pilot Chip.
5) The Name Chip: The name Chip inspired my whole character Chip. I was thinking of a awesome Pilot name for a character who could be best friends with Peter, and the best Pilot name ever popped in my head… Chip. I mean, you can’t say the name without thinking Pilot. It’s just one of those names that screams Pilot to me. It also screams for comedy. I mean, how many boring people named Chip do you know? Chip has to be the name of a fun, happy, hilarious, good guy. It’s like a law or something.
6) River Otter: If I had to pick an animal to represent Chip, it would be a River Otter. They are cute and hyper and they seem to match Chip’s personality so much to me. Even the way the one in the picture is sticking it’s tongue out. It’s a little trickster!

Peter Sanders

1) Fighter Pilots: I love Fighter Pilots. I love the parachutes, and the dog fighting, and the planes, and the pilotsss. <3 My love for Fighter Pilots inspired my Fighter Pilot Peter.
2) Strawberries: If I had to pick a fruit to represent Peter, it would be the strawberry. A strawberry bush signifies perpetuity, or that the just man shall never wither; Love; Symbol of purity and sensuality, fertility and abundance, humility and modesty; symbolizes righteousness; sweetness in life and character.
3) Shooting Star: Peter is my little shooting star! Whenever I doodle a picture of him on a scrap of paper, he is usually saying, “I’m a shooting star leaping through the sky” or something like that.
4) Grandma: My Grandma was a huge inspiration behind Peter. Her last name is Sanders, which is where Peter got his. I remember growing up I always thought Sanders was an excellent Military last name. I can just hear the drill sergeants shouting, “SANDERS!! FRONT AND CENTER!” Whenever I drew miscellaneous soldiers in my 8th grade art class, his nametag always said Sanders. So, when I created my own Military character you could guess what this last name would be. Also, she is from West Virginia, which is where Peter is from. She always spoke of the beautiful mountains and creeks, and the freezing winters. She spoke of the coalmines and growing up there. A lot of Peter’s background is straight from things my Grandma has said to me.
5) Cardinal: If I had to pick a animal to represent Peter, it would be the cardinal. I’m not sure exactly why, it was just the first thing that popped in my head and it just seemed to fit. I like to think it’s because Cardinals are so bright and vivid they stand out against it’s surroundings, and when you see one you just can’t seem to look away from it until it flies away. And, after it flies away you wish it would fly back so you could catch a glimpse of it just one more time. At least, that’s what I think whenever I see a cardinal.
6) Baseball: Peter is a avid baseball fan. He loves playing it, he loves watching it, he loves teaching it, and he loves talking about it. It’s an American pastime so I guess that’s one reason why it inspired a part of Peter. I wanted him to seem like a typical American boy.
7) Behind Enemy Lines: I’ve always like this movie. It’s really good. Late one night it came on so I watched it for the millionth time. That night I fell asleep and had a really good dream. I didn’t remember all of it, but I did remember it was about a pilot during WWII. That inspired me to make a Role Play idea that I never started but I still really liked the story I had made up in my head but continued to keep it to myself and never do anything with it. Then one day my sister had a school project where she had to write a small book for a contest, but she was at a loss for ideas. I pitched my pilot story, and she loved it! But, she ended up switching schools and didn’t do the project. So, now that I had pitched the idea to my sister and she had liked it, I knew my story was a good one, so it inspired me to really try and write it! And, it never would of happened if I didn’t watch Behind Enemy Lines late at night before going to bed. xD

Demyan Kaminski:

1) Ushanka: I love Ushankas. They are so cute and warm and I like drawing them.
2) Famous Snipers: How could I create a sniper character and not research famous snipers to get inspiration and the do’s and don’ts of sniping? I’ve always loved snipers. I even wanted to be one at one point in time. Ha ha! Even though I am terrified of guns, I’m so inspired by them as well. But a gun is only has good as it’s holder, which is why I’m even more inspired by the person holding the gun.
3) Russian Culture/Art/History: I love different cultures, art, and history. And even though I’m horrible at retaining information, I still love learning and reading about the world. Feed me knowledge…and pork chops. Anyways, Russian culture, art, and history are unlimited inspirations for me!

On the left you put the name of the citizens your character met and that he feels something about; on the right you put its name and picture and right below it, you can make a diagram of the many colors your charts can have and in the middle there's the all-important bar charts itself; the more full is the bar, the stronger is the feeling your character has for that person; each bar can have multiple colors to show different feeling like friendship or love if you want, or you may keep it simple and use just one color for friendships and/or love. It's really up to you how you fill it! ^^

6. Feralas is beautiful. It's like a rainforest, but without sun. It's so green and lush and overgrown...and when it rains, it's just so purdy. DDD
