May I introduce: Team Llama!
Starring: Cowboy Llama, Samurai Llama, Mafia Don Llama, Mexican Llama, Native American Llama, Demon Llama and of course Space Llama! (Shame on me! I totally forgot to mention Space Llama!)
Demon Llama is my absolute favorite, of course!

To be honest, this is my first real pixelart. I made some icons before though, but nothing in this dimension!

Q.: How long did it take to be created ?
A.: Only 2 days..between 16 and 18 hours every day nonstop..Then I saw all around me in pixels!

in my opinion the pixel is right to be detailed and smal when we talk about a game, but if we talk about a wear design the detailer pixel forgiveness from their original context, So I thought of them completely out of context, making the pixels the itself design.

Hey gang! Got one last submission for ya, and I saved the SWEETEST one for last! Cookies!!!!

Another designed just for fun, I've had this 'play on words' idea from the beginning of the contest, but never really spent any time on it...it would just fester in the bowels of my mind. Until tonight! I decided to have some last-minute fun and bring this idea to the world; and here it is, in all it's "Ate. Bit." glory!

Now, where's the 16-bit milk?

I did it!! This is the first time I am participating in a dA-design battle! And I am soo excited about it!! I really hope you all like my design, a little cutie-monster being afraid of a spider under the bed (where monsters are told to live ^^) and now asking to sleep in your bed! It took me really long to draw and design the T-Shirt, but it was much much fun, especially since I tried to discover sime kind of a new style! ^^

P.S.: The little rabbit he is holding is inspired by a selfmade plushie of my little sister! ^^

Many of you mentioned that my design has too many colors... But I believe it was only a recommendation, else it would mean they would only accept vectors, because when you are painting something you always have different hues and tones... I also think they would have written it in the official rules or the artistic guidelines, but they didnt, so it is probably just a tip to not use more than 7 colors! (I think anyway, that I used only brown, red, blue, yellow and cyan... so not more than 7 colors)

Took me about 12 hours to draw, including breaks.

Here's my entry for the 8-Bit Design Challenge! I tried to make it nice and colorful as well as fashionable.

The inspiration for this was, actually,in a moment when I found myself thinking retrospectively. While I was mulling over ideas for my theme I found myself thinking about my first computer, an old Windows 3.1 from about 1993. It had the ancestor of the Paint program loaded onto it, and I can clearly remember being a child and playing with it, scribbling in pixels for hours on end (hence the old-style computer on the hand-warmer).

Flash forward to the present day, where one can use high-tech programs to illustrate in 1200x1600 resolution, and interface with the most sensitive tablets...it's a little overwhelming.

So thank you, Windows 3.1, for inspiring me to make this shirt in honor of our time together as I first explored the pioneering technology of digital art, back in the good old days

Done by me, on GIMP software.

_{Ah, the 80s, what a glorious Utopia it was! Video Games and music was as good as it ever was. While I wasn't born in the 80s per se, I can certainly live it as if I was!

This is my second shot at a deviantWEAR competition in the 5 weeks or so I've been here. Unfortunately my Cute Monster didn't make it through but I've put a lot of thought and effort into this!

I do not join usually any contest based on votes, because i don't have great number of watchers (and im not interested in false popularity or mathematical schemes of promotion my art at any costs etc). I was attracted by the fantasy theme of the contest, and i tried to do a design i would wear myself with great pleasure, and also thought of it to be liked by all kind of myth/fantasy/magic lovers, no matter of gender or age ... And promoting DA on my t-shirt would be also a pleasure, a place where imagination is shared and inspiration is infused through eyes in so many gorgeous artworks... countless emotions are born inside mind eager to born at their turn beauty, grace and endless depths of imagination in our lives...

Once again I'm entering a contest probably again I might not even make it to the Semi-Finals but it was fun just to accept

About the design
1. Ape/Monkey : Still in the 80s not evolved yet and don't want to.. So the name 'EVOLU.. WAT?' Which is pretty self explanatory

2. Most entries were done based on computer games, which was somehow what the challenge applied. But I decided to stray. Limiting the 80s games to just the looks/design. However the rest I tried to incorporate elements of 80s music, fashion etc..
(a) Mohawk : 1970-80s was when Mohawks became really popular even though it had its origins earlier \x/
(b) Leather Jackets with spikes and all that remember? Ahhh.. guess I'm too Old
(c) Faded torn jeans
(d) and the most important the 'Walkman'

3. If you look closely there every single 'pixel' is separate and has only one color, same as if you look close to any Atari or Nintendo avatars. Oh well even today a pixel has only one color ..

If you think my design represents the 80s computer games/ music/fashion the please vote for me (again)

*Have tried to keep the design as close as possible to the rules, however I got too greedy with the templates

um i always wanted to try one of these contests. I'm quite convinced it's out of my league since my design skills are kinda below freezing. So at least i wanted to do something i'm more confident at, illustration that is :">

The technique used to draw this one is the "random blob" i described some time ago 0.o I start with a big random chunk of black color and erase and shape slowly it in the final picture. Really advanced use of this is called Concept art i think... Since my results are kinda simple and not much concept-ish... i call it BLOB painting LOL

edit: fixed colors to meet the rules, total of 5 colors allowed - the darker color tones (texture) in the screens are only in the big picture - they are flat on the shirt design.

I was suddenly inspired by this concept of having essentially a Gameboy on your top, mainly because the template was a white hoodie, and I thought the Gameboy best represents classic, pixellated gaming. Sure, maybe not 8-bit, but retro gaming which is the spirit of the contest.

[8bit] Le Portrait design battle deviation. This handpixelized artwork originally made on a C64 8bit computer in interlaced FLI graphic mode. (2011)

The C64 originally has 16 colors. IFLI mode is basically two FLI pictures being rapidly alternated to give the illusion of more colors. Interlaced FLI generates 320*200 dots resolution using 6 colors in each 8*1 points big attribute cell.
This mode also gives the possibility of mixing two colors together, so it's possible to use theoretically 128 different colors.

I worked on the picture for about a month pixel by pixel.

Concept idea:
well for the contest i do i little of research and i found definitions of music and it make me think of instruments that have really power sound and ancient ones, historical, etc. but then i found the origin of rhythm and "the beat" and in one of his definitions i found the heart it's in fact a complex mechanism that all we have that has a "constant" beat that never stops...until the end that sound is with us we need his music to keep alive a that's when i figuret out the name and then the concept jeje

I'm back! And here's my submission for the recently announced Mythical Creatures t-shirt contest. I got really inspired by this contest and wanted to take part, as I've always been a huge fan of all kinds of mythical animals/creatures. Tried to make the shirt appealing to all genders and ages, so the characters are not too evil looking on this, and I wanted to include some very popular and well known creatures from all around the world representing the theme; the dragon, pegasus, gryphon and werewolf. Something for hopefully everyone!

Only covers 1 print area ((no side) and it's inside 2 design zones). Contains 5 colours (red, grey, white, brown and yellow as seen in the stash picture [link]). A bigger version of the design can be seen here:

Alas! Though i made the Semi-final I didnt win one of the prizes...

Although this Does mean I get to submit the art by it'self and sell it as a print. (here >> [link])

Se que tengo commissions pendientes, pero al ver que habian organizado otro concurso en DA no pude resistirme! ademas es un tema que me encanta, no concibo laidea de dibujar sin escuchar musica mientras!!

El concepto es el siguiente: la fuente de inspiracion, la musica, emana de una fuente (en este caso un MP3) que a traves de los oidos llega al corazon, donde se bombea y pasa a la mano y la herramienta de dibujo, de la que salen todos nuestros amados dibujos inspirados por canciones.

Esta idea la tengo en mente desde hace años y nunca encontraba el momento para plasmarla, pero al fin he podido hacerlo y debo decir que estoy super orgullosa del resultado.

La musica es una poderosa fuente de inspiracion que puede cambiar nuestro estado de animo
o combinar con el que ya tenemos, nos acompaña en practicamente todos los momentos de nuestra vida y si nos falta nos sentimos perdidos.

Medusa Design

A color variation on my Medusa piece.
Mr. Cain used to keep snakes, and he had one that was red, so of course he wanted me to make Medusa's snakes that color - and I ended up liking it. I wish I had time to go back and do the stripes, but, eh.
I put them on both the red and grey shirt, but I think the grey works better. All the red was a little much.

This was hard for me to do (specially since not use to using Photoshop yet and never tried doing something pixel-style like this before), but I'm pretty satisfied with the results. Hope you all like it. I'll see if I have enough time for a second one.

Strawberry Juice Monster

I suck with vectors designs so I painted this in Paint Tool SAI and make adjustments in PS.
I make the design with pink and light blue, to make it unisex.

The monster is a Strawberry Juice abominable cuteness that discovered the dA community and...Guess what?! XD

Here's my entry for deviantWEAR's " 8-bit Challenge ", the contest closing tomorrow (so I'm a bit late with the votes... help me up?).

Basicly, I couldn't resist taking part on this one contest. : )
Old low-bits game's consoles and DOS-based videogames... they were the main fuel of my imagination back when a kid; and even for a long time later I didn't dare to move away from them. I blame the savoury art style of many of those games, sprite based, 2D universes... _{:'D Even today, Rockman is still my favorite character of all times~}

I must admit, though, never before I had designed arts for any kind of garment. But, that wouldn't stop me from giving it a try now... x'3 Now, wish me luck, guys~!
