When I put up the link above for the Tron headphones, I usually started getting comments on how "Tron style is amazing", but I DIDN'T base it on any Tron-alific ideas. Sorry, but I really didn't, because it was inspired by Phantasy Star shield-weaves! (not "based" on, sorry.) Shield weaves look like these ([link]) yes, they are the white glowing things. And, as you can see, my shirt and the shield-weave don't look very much the same. I thought it really looked like a new-gen fashion statement. :3

^{I'm very rusty... but this was the idea I had in my head. I liked the idea of showing the tools, because a lot of the people who see my shirts and think "deviant art?" is like this evil site for devious people to view art, not create it (at least, the people I come in contact who have never heard of the site and judge it by its name).

I think if there was a way to show that its actually a place to CREATE art with lots of different types of mediums and styles, people would warm up to it a little. I always have to defend the site because of the name, but since this is a logo contest, people who see this design will automatically assume its for artists. ^_^

Brown Beige Art Tools

Brown, Beige Art Tools Design on a black shirt.
I also added some text to the design, the upper deviant word is more traditional feel, and the art on the bottom is more a pixel digital feel.

Okay here is my final shirt design...It took forever to draw, all the details were time consuming...lol, but anywho, if you look at the detail view, you will see several art tools from digital to traditional art, and yes there is a literature/poems book in there, also if you look closer you will see dA points, dA Super LLama, and of course you will see dA Fella...

I think the hardest part in this design was trying to use as little colors as possible, i was able to 3 colors.

But yeah I am so proud of this design, i think it came out pretty sweet. (Alot of time and energy went into this piece) i just hope it shows, and I hope you guys like it.

Drawn/created with a mouse, photoshop cs5 and hours, and hours. (approx. 34 hours)

Just a simple idea I came up with. The bear would only be on the left hand side of the shirt. I'm still thinking about changing the logo on the front a bit, looks a bit stuck on. But I quite like it, what are your thoughts?

EDIT - I changed the picture to Version 2 of my design, I don't think many people are actually getting to see it. I personally think it is better. I hope this doesn't mess up anything. Sorry if the logo doesn't fit your tastes I tried making it the colours of the puke but it just didn't look right in my opinion it was quite difficult to see the logos and I just didn't like that

Talking About design try to give you a good composition with different elements that communicate the deviantart community to do something with a creative while maintaining the essence of an army and a little crazy art and technology, and include the pet robot fella in a very cool the main elements of traditional art palette and brush, the design has lots of detail work last long shadows strokes etc. ..

hola es la primera vez que participo en un concurso de deviantart, me he divertido mucho y he trabajado como nunca en un diseño en tan poco tiempo, he conceptualizado, hice muchos bocetos y pruebas y un arduo trabajo de trazar y colorear con el mouse porque no tengo wacom , pero el resultado me gusto mucho tuvo un buen acabado con muchisimos detalles, apenas me dio tiempo de terminarlo dure más de 30 horas, soy un maniatico de los detalles, el diseño fue pensado para usar con varias tonalidades de color y es un diseno atractivo para todas las edades manteniendo la identidad de la comunidad de deviantart y el eje principal del logo, deviantart somos el mundo entero, unidos haciendo arte, somos guerreros de arte y eso es lo que une a la comunidad gente de diferentes paises compartiendo, en una sola pagina de internet reuniendo un ejercito de artistas, donde la creatividad es nuestra arma make art not war y dibujen mucho
espero que les haya gustado trabaje muy duro

hablando un poco sobre el diseño trate de darle una buena composicion con diferentes elementos que comunican la comunidad de deviantart hacer algo con un estilo creativo manteniendo esa escencia como de un ejercito de arte un poco loco y tecnologico, y incluir a la mascota fella en un robot muy cool con los elementos principales del arte tradicional la paleta y el pincel, el diseño tiene muchisimos detalles dure mucho tiempo trabajando las sombras trazos etc..

This is my first entry for the dA Shirt design contest!! (Maybe more to come?)

When I first read about it, I really wanted to draw the dummy emote I just love that little guy!!

And I love fire; it's fascinating and beautiful - well who does not love it??

So I combined these and TADAA. Dummy and fire

Everything painted in photoshop, 2 hours.

Sketched on paper then done in Flash cs4, pure vector graphics, a few gradients especially on the back portion... Used photoshop only to assemble the final image.

Edit 1 (29.10.): well here's the finished up version, for now. I've added highlights to the tiny objects as well as fixed up some errors that I've noticed

Edit 2 (9.11): WOOOT! Over a hundred faves! The general reactions have been great and I really hope this gets among top50!

Edit 3 (11.11.): Well, balls. Only over 200 votes while some have over a thousand
