Spring collections from FreePeople's April 2013 Collection, La Dolce Vita (The Sweet Life) (left) and FreePeople's March 2013 Collection (right).
The design here is not 100% accurate and I'm not the one who design it. I hope it's pretty clear. ^^

Everytime I open FreePeople's blog (blog.freepeople.com), I always amaze by how beautiful their photographs are. It feels like life is always good and beautiful there, and seeing them always brings positive vibes to myself, the urge to go outside, and of course, lots of inspiration too. I really love the photograph in la dolce vita collection, and those flower crowns are just gorgeous! MUST DRAW THIS, enough said.

Dragonrise - Ekiarinian VS Kyrosian Scholar (F)

No idea why I accidentally drew the Kyrosian one tilted. I guess the paper was at an angle when I drew it.

The Kyrosians aren't native to Kyros; they're actually descendants of the Medeans and Tianisians of Ekiarini, a continent that I have not drawn yet. Kyros was originally an Ekiarinian colony, but became independent through wars that they won rather easily with the aid of the dragons of Mt. Blackheart.

Anyway.

The Kyrosian clothing obviously derived from Ekiarinian clothing. Shown in the picture is the clothing worn by female scholars and philosophers from both cultures. Because women's rights. Whee.

Ekiarinian is shorter; it's very warm in Ekiarini, mainly due to its location on the planet. Kyrosian, on the other hand, is long, as Kyros is much cooler (temperature-wise) than Ekiarini, especially on Mount Blackheart, where most of the scholars are.

Both of them have the traditional cloth-wrap around the shoulders; this is meant to show their status as scholars (they're pretty high-up in the social classes. I'll have to draw a pyramid some time.). Men also have the shoulder-wrap. It's usually a pale green-ish color.

The dresses for both of them are usually pale blue or lavender in color.

Both of them have a metal shoulderpiece to support the gown.

Ekiarinian gowns--scholar or not--usually have some sort of sash/tie/belt right below the breast, unlike Kyrosian. Ekiarinian gowns also tend to be more ruffle-y while Kyrosian gowns are more flowing.

Ekiarinians wear simple leather sandals; Kyrosians also wear leather sandals, but theirs are strapped up to mid-calf.
