Rikshiramayan Colours

colour genetics

base skin

without any modifications, all Rikshiramayans are Rust coloured, with mid-green eyes and brown leathery skin. their hair may be slightly lighter or slightly darker but it doesn’t vary much. their inner ear is always white because they were used to signal over distance in the red desert.
Extension
[E] this gene in either hetero or homozygous form turns the skin a dark brown colour with darker leathers and no change to the eyes.
Agouti
[A] effectively removes the extension colour from the central body. is expressed to a lesser extent with A^- but this is recessive to A.
Dust
[D] lightens the overall skin colour and makes the eyes more yellow. homozygous is stronger than heterozygous.
Stone
[St] takes the majority of red pigment from the skin, replacing it with dusky grey colours. turns the eyes blue and the leathers a dark grey.
Dust/Stone combination
any combination of the Dust and Stone genes result in a very pale skin colour with dark hair. the eyes are an aqua green and the leathers are a brown colour.
Mask
[M] makes the points and hair darker and changes the eyes orange. distinguishable from Agouti by the solid markings, eye colour and leather colour.
Tarnish
[T] darkens appearance overall. eyes and leathers are not affected.
Polish
[P] lightens the central body, leaving extremities and muzzle darker with rings around the eyes and dark ears.

markings

in all of these genes, the heterozygous form is less extensive than the homozygous form. stripes in combinations create really whacky patterns. white turns the leathers it sits over pink but does not effect hair.

Bleached Hair
[Bl] lightens the hair.
Tanned Hair
[Tn] darkens the hair.
Marble
[Ma] makes rounded swirling stripes. centred over the large muscle masses like thighs and shoulders.
Bengal
[Be] makes thin waving stripes. centred over the forearms, shins, shoulders and face. always creates a rim around the ear.
Zebra
[Ze] makes thick, angular stripes. centred over the back and bottom. usually patterns the face and where possible frames the eyes.
Mackerel
[Mk] makes thin, dotted stripes. centred over arms and back, does not cross the dorsal line along the body.
Pale
[Pa] makes the stripes lighter.
Multiply
[Mp] makes the stripes darker.
Fade
[F] makes the stripes fade towards the ventral line.
White
[W] bleaches colour from the skin entirely. spreads from digits, muzzle, under the eyes, tail tip, chest and pubic areas. can cover the whole body.
Soft
[S] blurs the edges of white. can make it seem like the stripes cross into the white.

Managed to finish one whole assignment earlier than expected, so got some time to work out a character design that had been difficult. she was originally supposed to have dark blue hair, but since another character has long dark blue hair they'd look related, and then the light blue I picked limited her possible colour palate (a lot of my characters seem to wear blue,I don't like green,and purple is typically worn by witches or necromancers in my world design)

red hair's changed her appearance but it's the closest I've gotten her to what I wanted so I'm happy ;D I hope you like her

~DawnStygian commissioned a set of four horse coat designs from me and gave me pretty much free rein, though she did request "some odd face markings." This is what I came up with! A black splash/sabino, a palomino varnish/near-leopard/whothefuckknows appaloosa, a silver dapple wild bay, and a very dark sooty palomino. Aubrey, feel free to edit/label these designs however you want! I hope you like them.

Originally was supposed to be Cecillia finally ascending into angel hood after Archaleon fails to become aware of her efforts to appeal to him through excruciating sacrifices. After suffering for so long, she can no longer take this ache and begins her ascension into an Angel. She turns around after Archaleon follows her and apologizes for all the trouble she has caused him and dies.
Well, that is just the summary or plan, but it will be one of the bitter sweet endings. Archaleon of course would regain his memories back, but no matter how hard he tries, he cannot love Cecilia, despite his entire endeavor. Aware that he cannot care nor love for Cecillia no longer, he lives his life in loneliness and I assume he commits suicide or ascends into angel hood as well.

Here, a team of heroes consisting of an Elmaghi, a Kehf, and a Nakuron (a giant sort of humanoid race--Rodrigo did most of the concept work for this and I just used his design for the scenes) are ambushed by a huge steam-powered vehicle, and it wants WAR. They might need some help for that...

Another shot from the game. The Vorashi were a warrior race in the game, so I tried to design something that reflected that. Obviously, aerodynamics are not going to be an issue in space, but the slim profile and angled surfaces would make it stealthier. The Gorath taught the Vorashi how to build spaceships, so there are some similarities in the look of their tech.

it's kind of spectrum, moving from soft-->contrast-->sharp

playing around with avant garde

this is the sharp end; hope you like!

details: sculptural shoulder top (inspired by samurai armor) with tweed and lace-up collar; top is mesh with woven hexnut boobs; bottom is bondage/lingerie inspired (like a garter, with lace underneath (to hold the straps in place) that has little chain details. shoes are lucite platforms with little strap detail on top.
