Im giving away this freebies -the real i love NY vector file which i made myself by tracing. i love this love shape -cuter than any other love shape. if u get boring with it, get used to it

The american-wtever typeface the one used in this design is not a free font. its a commercial font. if u are trying to search for the font, hoping for a free font, u will ended up with alot of trouble & wasted. unless u are really good at finding the font.

Im now trying to duplicate other alphabets instead of I,N &Y
of this typeface. if u got something lets share it

With the end of Experiment 1, I still wasn't solid on Digital coloring. All i really knew was bending lines in illustrator. The black lines were all even and something bugged me about the whole thing.

Thus enter Experiment 2! I recently picked up Shantae for the GBC (a title i missed out on due to my childhood ignorance, thinking it was a girly game due to the cover... Stupid NY Gamer! You should know better than that!) Well, i was wrong and i do deserve a real ass kicking for such a travesty!

Anyway, Picked up the game and started playing. Ok, easy beginning, nothing out of the blue. Well this game kicked my teeth in on numerous occasions!

One: The Enemies rarely drop hearts so if Shantae took some damage, she was staying like that most likely til you hit the next town or use a potion.

Two: 1-Ups are really only found in dungeons so if you lose a life, you are pretty much screwed until you actually went into the Danger Zones!

Three: Night and Day really take a toll on you! Daytime, it's easy to run from town to town. Scarecrow monster, pfft, get out! Naga, Yeah, Owned! But at night, those same dudes get boosted with Double Health and i believe extra power so you have to be careful of when to step boundaries!

Mix in some Belly Dancing, Great Level Design, some magnetism, a bit of comedy, a monkey, an elephant, a Spider, and a Harpy and you're in business! One of the greatest games I played in this time! Too Bad that Mr. Bozon's game was hurt due to the GBC's death! Damn it to hell, i mean to get a copy of the game now... be prepared to shell out some dough!

Ok, well for the experiment. Insted of using Illustrator's feature to fill in the shapes and stroke the lines, i went with a different approach. Using a Black Shape for the bottom, then cloning the same shape and placing it above with color, I was able to move the color shape's lines to vary the thickness of the black lines, giving it something in my eyes. I left the image flat and used Illustrator's Export Option (just found out about it) and exported the layers to Photoshop. Using Photoshop, i was able to shade and shine using layers and tools I was comfortable already with. A Layer above the needed section, a pass with either a brighter or darker color, a shange in blending option, and an eraser to touch upon the needed sectors!

I like this method more than the first, even though, i'd have to reshade the image if i needed to enlarge the flat image.

From what I know now:

Method 1: Gives the ability to strech the image to any size w/o worry. Downside, No use of Photoshop!
Method 2: Gives more pull for shading and more room to mess around. Downside, Need to Reshade if Image needs to be bigger.

But I kid. I actually thought that the film was an excellent addition to classic monster movies, and it actually deserves some praise for how well it handled the tricky visual aspects too.

Shantae PS3 Theme

A theme I put together of Shantae for the PS3 (ya, a Nintendo GBC game based theme on a Sony console! XD)

The Icons were made to look something from the Shantae Start Menu with Folders taking the Shape of Arrows (may seem familiar if you look at the Pause Menu alot.) To keep with the GBC idea, the Game icon and the Photo Icon on the XMB have been swapped up with a GBA and a GBA with a Game Boy Camera (or at least to appear like one.) I tried to use the GBC, but it looks a bit funky so I stepped up to the GBA.

The Preview is a bit weak, but that's not one of the wallpapers, but rather a combination of 6 for a small preview of each rolled into one. Oh, I'll be uploading each paper here in 1080p, 1280x800 ratio, and 1280x1024 ratio.

To install the theme on your PS3, you need to be running at least Firmware 2.0 (the instructions and compiler I used were from 2008)

Download the Archive
Unzip the Theme File onto your PC
Copy the theme file onto your Flash Drive into the Following Folders (Make them if necessary):

PS3 > THEME

Then on your PS3, go to Settings > Themes Settings > Theme > Install

If anyone has any ideas on changing this up a bit to better suit Shantae, by all means lemme know! I've tested this theme over and over on a High Def Television (1080p) and two things:

1. Maybe Uncle Mimic will take the place of the Settings Icon on the XMB.
2. I can say is that Rottytop's Wall and Sky's Wall are mad bright! XD

Definitely need to give some props to for all the amazing Brushes used in the wallpapers. For this, I've added his Logo into the mix for the papers. And I gotta give some thanks to for a Sprite Rip which gave me an idea to use an unused sprite as the Message Box. Really helped me there to move on!

Rent Poster for Hysterium

Having designed Hysterium Theatre's logo for them, they approached me to design the poster for their first show: Jonathan Larson's Rent.

Because many amateur theatre groups had performed this particular show in the UK over the past 12 months, it was important for me that the poster should look sophisticated and not in any way derivative of the now iconic and famous Broadway and West End theatre designs which had been drawn upon heavily for the film poster artwork when it was released in 2005.

I decided to keep the design clean using a strong visual that a viewer could immediately identify with. When choosing the way I wanted to treat the text, I decided to use a typeface that would allude to, but not replicate, the original iconic typeface. I wanted to create a dynamic with the angle of the text, that would accentuate the implied lines of the building's structure.

It had always been my intention for Hysterium's logo [link] to be adaptive and for this poster I changed the logo's colour to work with the colour choices I had used throughout.

10th MTN division, Ft. Drum NY

I used to be part of 10th MTN, it's about time I got around to this drawing. It's the unit patch, heavily modified. It's a powder keg and bayonets. I used a lot of blue and went with a red background to match the colors on the patch and the greens, browns and black to represent BDUs which was the uniform when I was active Army.

Mixed mediums. Micron marker, prisma color pencils, white paint pen, tea, and tattoo pigment.
