It is almost 6 years now I started on dA. was the first person I watched on dA. I only did bad Paint and Abstract wallpapers pictures back when I started here.
I was not so good to draw characters at all... xP

I've been working on this - literally - for a couple of months, trying to make the most detailed dragon I possibly could for my friend ~eV13il. I hope once she sees it she'll remember our conversation... (though if she doesn't I won't mind.)
despite the random trouble I had several times, I'm quite pleased with how this turned out... but I'm never going to put quite so much effort into one picture again until I figure out a way to do so in less time.
_{(I really wish I could manage some less abstract looking backgrounds...)}

turns out I can't actually draw nice water, so I used a wallpaper image from [link] to add in the water.

also used the awesome eyes tutorial =sanguisGelidus created to make the dragon's eye look the way it does.

~copyright for the dragon, the sky, and the ground are mine.
~copyright to the water... well the photographer is unknown to me, but I believe copyrights to water in general belong to God. (I believe he did create it after all.)

I actually spent forever on this. If you didn't know I create all my artwork completely randomly by distorting lines. This wonderful warrior here was the sum of many pieces taken from those distortions. I used brushes for the textures ( since I can't really draw that well on my own ). The colors and lighting are my mine though. Please comment and let me know what you think

I know there's too much empty space, and I also cut her legs off cause they're ugly, but whatevs xD any flaw you see here I'm well aware exists so

THIS IS A WIP!!

So, as you can tell, I'm active again. This time, however, I am using a program called Alchemy (which, as you may know, is the program I use for my abstract wallpapers) combined with GIMP. I use Alchemy for the base sketch, then I put it into GIMP (or Photoshop, but GIMP is all I have on Linux at the moment) and do the shading and the details, all the while leaving the abstract sketch in the background. So far, I think it looks pretty decent, but I'm still new to this. I may start over and refrain from using the soft-edge airbrush, though.
