What it Takes to Fly

Had this idea in my head for a long time (like years...) but never got the chance to draw it Hehe I love creepy stuff. Er, a few people said the title and image reminds them of something like "it takes the helping hands of friends to fly" but I was going for "it takes a lot of sacrifice to rise above others." But you can interpret it however way you want

People have been saying this reminds them of Nico Robin from One Piece who also had wings of hands. I never watch that show so I had no idea.

If I know how to count, there should be a total of 21 hands in the drawing XD

Picture I drew of my dark evil girl chracter. Except in a different style. I don't have a name for her yet.

Done in a very sketchy style. Her eyes are blind folded because her eyes have been poked out. All the colors she can see are black white and red.

Dear ~Alessa-Lindlay! So sorry for the delay on this! I hope you like this, I put some extra love into your kiriban.

Done in maybe... 20-25 hours, all in Photoshop from scratch, no reference. Tried new lighting and colors as well, thinking more and more about the mood in my paintings.

When I was a kid, I asked my mom to buy me Batman poster (about 2x0,5 meters big). She bought me a big Disney's Snow White poster instead. Because she didn't want me to have a nightmares.

It's a classic character - refreshed and renewed a bit.
Inspired by Marilyn Manson, Tim Burton and *vinegar gallery.

Ive been dying to do a sci-fi monster piece for a long time now and this one has elements that ive been trying to incorporate into a composition for a long time.

I glanced at a few photos of various abandoned factories, camcorders and CDC biohazard suits for accuracy's sake, in addition to several close-up stills of a couple 80's horror movies used to get the expression I wanted for the foreground victim.

I think this is my neatest work in a while, and it better be, because I've spent like 50 hours working on it. On and off for the last three months of so, for a couple of hours at a time in between all that comic-stuff. Usually I grow to detest a piece when the painting process stretches out for that long, but this this time I don't the tiniest prickle of dislike. Yaaay! I guess it's worked as a welcomed break from drawing pages for "a Redtail's Dream" for like six hours per day, every day. o_o

I've got the colored sketch and a few close-ups of the finished thing right over here.

okay. this one is little bloody.
Im not into macabre, or monster type stuff in my work though, when the story demands such, anything can be done.

This is something our mess studio has been brewing @ the back burner for some time now, and you have seen afew character concepts. (Morganne Lefeyétte: [link] )well, typical way of developing stories and projects are usually done behind the closed door, but our approach on this is little different. sort of community project @ [link]

thanks to talented writer along with we have quite interesting progress in terms of developing stories.

with 's help, we were supposed to meet one of the publishers in Europe at san diego comicon this year, particularly aiming for french audiences, however the publisher has canceled their trip to US, and at the same time, we ended up with other great gigs, so this project had to put aside again. its only seem natural such a side project like this get less attention when other bigger games require attention.

There was a family of five, parents father and mother, first born a pair of twins who are sisters of the youngest son. The Kingsleys, found a shelter in a big abandoned mansion when their previous was destroyed by fire. However, it was most unfortunate that all the unfortunate events happened, mysteriously. Twin sisters, Adeline and Vallory, were poisoned and died. Followed by the death of the father, Icarus fell down the stairs and broke his neck. Mother Victoria was stabbed in the head while she was sleeping. It turned out the son, Rowan was indeed a naughty boy.

This is my contribution to the millions of Valentine's Day theme art, a little different from the usual but it's perfectly fine with me cos I like to be different! Also, I'd like to hear your story about this piece as I haven't said much about it.
