An illustration for an art book (Tanzenden Sterne) that was postponed (?) until late fall or so. I'm not sure if the project is going forward, but I've been sitting on this for a while, so I thought I'd go ahead and post it.

It's an illustration of the constellation Perseus.

And a bit about the constellation itself!

"The brightest star in its formation is 5,000 times brighter than our sun, another star is a nova, and another, one of the most famous stars, is Algol, whose Arabic name means The Demon Star and is actually the first set of eclipsing binary stars ever discovered, giving the impression of Medusas blinking demon eye. Birth of Space 5 Creation

EDIT: Yeeeeeessss... Yet another update. O_o Now you guys know I really am a gemini, one who undergoes a split personality problem from time to time. O_____O

In any account, I reintroduced the bright colors I initially had. It flows better with the rest of the series. That was one of my major concerns about my BOS series. Each image has to stand its own ground, but also feel like it's part of a larger picture.

There was also another thing I wanted to do in these revisions and that was introduce organic textures. I really wanted the figure to blend and flow into the background, creating an unclear, blurry vision that implied motion and liveliness, while also implying this inability to tell forground from background, as if the figure was lost and integrated with the environment. Granted, when I started this series, it was about applying a Matisse-like, abstract technique, one in which I played color against color. And it was also about patterns that evoked the same spiritual reaction you would see in an Islamic architecture. But this series has always demanded organic flow too. Pure geometric shapes can only do so much. So yeah, I wanted to include something organic, which would also act as a visual cue that tied each BOS image to each other.

No mas! No maaaaaaaas! Okay, I give. I give! My head is hurting. I can't stare at this pic any longer! I know I need to add more detail but... NO MAS. I'm behind in my Junior Capstone class because I took too long on this. And yeah, I'm still working with the mouse. I plan on spending my Thanksgiving break practicing on the tablet my friend let me borrow. I'm just not comfortable with it right now and I don't want to waste time trying to color one of these pictures.

I'll definitely come back to this and add in more detail but, for now, I'm turning this over due to time constraints. It kinda sucks since I really wanted this to be good enough to garner some attention here in DA. I know I still need work in my craft, but I'm getting better. Even more, this work is all my original stuff, not something fanart related.

Speaking of original, this is Seth, for those who don't know. Seth is my original character. Seth is bigendered too, which is cool because my Birth of Space series deals with the relationship between man/woman with regards to creation. In this image, Seth is pregnant and is expecting to give birth to the Universe any time soon. So please, someone grab Seth a glass of water and tell her to calm down since she's freaking out.

Just a short drawing I wanted to do this morning (a snowy morning ) while listening to May'n ;-; , and finished it in time for lunch lol I wanted to draw explosions, but started to think more about the drawing while the time passed.
It's a story about never-ending wars with a planet that has magic flowing through it (the sparky lines) and the ones who want to destroy that flow and steal it.
The small cat girl ~~lolwhut~~ is the only one who can't use magic, but has the biggest resolve in protecting her planet. //using her bazooka lol

Hoy en dia se han descubierto miles y miles de planetas fuera de nuestro sistema solar, los llamados exoplanetas o planetas extrasolares. Fuera de nuestro sistema solar existen cientos de planetas que poseen caracteristicas comunes a la de nuestro planeta Tierra. En esta obra he querido hacer ver un planeta parecido al nuestro el cual ha abandonado su sistena planetario y esta a mucha distancia de su sol, por tanto su superficie y la de sus lunas estan congelada. El sol, al estar muy lejos solo se ve como una pequeña estrella con una halo de color aguamarina, al reflejar su luz sobre la atmosfera de este planeta crea una aurora y una especies de particulas brillantes. Espero que os guste esta obra la cual hize con mis propios recursos y espero que os guste

This is a concept art & book cover for my future manga "Dreadnought". Done with SAI and photoshop, all from imagination, which took me tens of hours.

I have thought about making manga for a long time, but now I'm getting serious and started drawing the first chapter. The story is based on a fictional industrial world at the dawn of the paranormal technology.

Dreadnoughts were the name of those gigantic battle-airships powered by the anti gravity techs, as opposite to the historical name sakes.

Later, I will also make a data book of different kinds of airship in the story, basically the capital ships and small supporting ones.
