Mirror dragons are ravenous, feral creatures that consume their body weight in meat every month. Their four eyes serve two purposes; the larger back set allows them to see light, while the smaller front set allows them to see heat as they hunt. Mirror dragons are migratory hunters that run in large packs. After they deplete prey in one territory, they'll move onto the next. Other dragons view them as a nuisance.

Diet
Mirror Dragons will eat a diet of meat and seafood. While they're not the pickiest of eaters, running out of both food types will leave them hungry, and they'd sooner starve then pick at plants or bugs. Make sure to keep your lair well-stocked, or you'll have a very toothy bit of trouble in your flight!

Physical Attributes
Mirror dragons are a muscular, medium-sized dragon breed, weighing up to 700lbs. They have a tough, leathery hide, and two pairs of eyes set in a hard, armored skull.

Fae Dragons

Fae dragons are small, highly active creatures. They live in massive colonies with populations that number in the tens of thousands. Fae dragons spin their homes of tree sap that they cure with magic to become a beautiful golden amber. Their colonies are built on the sides of sheer cliffs or the trunks of massive trees, far out of the reach of other predators. Older colonies will often meet catastrophic ends, when the weight of too many dens takes the cliff side or tree down.

Diet
Fae dragons eat insect type food exclusively, so you'd better be prepared to cater to their needs if you wish to add these tiny terrors to your flight!

Physical Attributes
Fae Dragons are the smallest existing dragon breed as of the alpha, weighing up to 3lbs. These tiny creatures have large wings and crests. Their claws are long and thin, and they have eyes that are extremely large in comparison to their head.

Woot! Finally FINISHED something that wasn't a holiday bust commission XDDDD *or any commission for that matter* :3 This has been a long time in coming...and though there is still a ton I could probably do to fix this, tweak it or what have you...I think I'm just going to call it quites and let it stand as is. My perfectionist nature always tends to get the better of me so I'm not going to play around with this one anymore >_>;; Or it would never get done...

Anyways, this will be the first in a series of 'Crossover' images that I'm doing concerning my half dragon character, Sayda, and characters of my friends. This image depicts Sayda as Chaos *her third form* and Iris, who belongs to =Michelle84. Dragons and unicorns have always been my favorite fantasy creatures for a long time, so it was fun to do another image regarding both beasts *similar I guess to my CREATION image* And I decided to go with Chaos instead of Sayda's second form due to the nature that both characters have the same hair color and close lengths...makes the mirror image of the peice work a lot better O_O;

But well...that is all I have to say on this one. I discourage any critiques since I don't plan on really doing anything else with it...it's done, period X3 The end :3

The gentle tundra dragons are covered in thick, coarse fur. Tundra dragons are not the brightest of creatures. They survive by virtue of their toughness and ability to eat almost anything that grows. This allows them to have non-contested domain over harsh, barren tracts of land that other dragons are pleased to avoid. Tundra dragons are generally friendly, if lacking in manners.

Diet
Tundra Dragons eat plantlife exclusively. If you wish to include these gentle dragons in your flight, be sure to have a good stock of veggies on hand, because they wont last long with these guys about!

Physical Attributes
Tundra dragons are one of the few furred dragon breeds native to Flight Rising. The males have lion-like manes that encircle their neck, while the females have a shorter chin ruff. Tundra dragons are one of the four starter breeds.

Guardian dragons are true to their namesake. Upon coming of age and and leaving their nests, fledglings will seek out a worthy individual, treasure, or location to stand watch over for the remainder of their considerable lives. Guardian dragons see the failure to keep their chosen charge safe as a terrible blight to their honor, and most will pine away rather than live with the shame of their failure.

Diet
Guardian Dragons are not picky eaters, and will happily eat just about anything. You can feed them meat seafood plants, or insects. As such they're a low-maintenance addition to any flight.

Physical Attributes
Guardian Dragons are the largest existing dragon breed as of the alpha. They can weigh up to 16 tons and are up to 30 feet in length from neck to tail. Guardian dragons are quadrupeds and do not have opposable thumbs. They have batlike wings with 4 spines at the "hand" of the wing and 2 spines at the "elbow". These dragons have strong jaws, an underbite, and stiff fan-like armored plates along their face, limbs, and chest. Males have a beard under their chin.

Psh, who cares about categories. Just click on the one you use most when you don't want to try and figure out what category it should really go into!

Anyway, you know that I did one of those things in my journal where you get free art recently. It was called 10Dragons! But I got 20. . . wtf.

Anyway, Here you are! 100x100 pixel avatars for you to use on LJ, FA, or. . whatever other place that you feel like using it or whatever. These are for the people who obviously own the characters to use, sillies. Don't try to take them unless they're yours.

I'm not going to list all the usernames because that takes effort and they're all on the bottom of the deviation. If you steal these, then I guess it's more of the character-owner's problem because there's no way you can convince someone you did that stupid little avatar when I'm over here with the full picture 97316736 times bigger. Yeah, nice try.

In any case, I know these weren't intentionally going to be SO NICE, but I really had a ton of fun with them and I hope you like them guys. For those of you who barely missed it, better luck next time!

Now I have to run off and note the big version to the owners. See you guys later!

And to the commenters that I KNOW will point out that there are more than ten dragons LOL ON YOU!

~I rummaged through the Himalayan pile of sketch books and notebooks I have, and found this small passage. Course I edited it to make more sense, the original was written in 4th grade. My god! Thats like...200 years ago! Heh, I'm kidding. XD Anywhooo, I wanted to make an illustration for it, worked on this on and off for the last few months, glad I finished it. Not my best work, but, I hope ya like it!

Pearlcatcher Dragons

After hatching, pearlcatcher dragons will immediately proceed to consume their eggshells before their wings have finished drying. Several hours later, they will regurgitate up a large, lustrous pearl that they carry with them throughout their lives. They are highly protective of these pearls; if presented with the dilemma of choosing to save their eggs or save their pearl, they will choose their pearl without fail.

Diet
Pearlcatcher dragons will consume any plants or insects they can get their claws on. Keeping your lair well-stocked in these foods will mean that no one goes hungry.

Physical Attributes
Pearlcatcher dragons are a smaller dragon that can grow to the size of a very large horse. Females have a single horn on their forehead, while males have two, with a much smaller horn preceding the main one. Pearlcatchers have compact bodies and leathery wings. A short mane runs down the length of their head and neck, and tufts of fur can be found on their elbows, ankles, and tail tips.. Two long, sensitive whiskers grow from their muzzles, and they have large, mobile ears.

Ridgeback Dragons

The easy-going Ridgeback dragon is covered long spines. These dragons live in small family groups that they will spend the rest of their lives with. Ridgeback dragons rarely venture out into the world. On the rare occasions when they encounter a stranger, they will try their best to be friendly, inviting individual to stop and fish. The freshness of the fish may be a question worth asking.

Diet:
Ridgeback dragons are excellent fishers and eat seafood type food items. They're not adverse to fish that's been sitting around the lair for a day or ten: The aging just adds a little bit of extra kick!

Physical Attributes:
The ridgeback dragon is a very large, tall dragon. They have spikes running down the length of their body and limbs, and males have a large forward-facing horn that continues to grow their entire life.

Styrax personally is one of my most favourite incenses. Its heavy sweet yet flowery scent is in strong contrast from the actual metallic look that the resin has. I've always had a fascination about incense and the beautiful atmosphere it can create. One could always find incense sticks or small floral copper bowls with resins and plants in my home. Whenever I came back from a journey, I lit charcoal and a selected mixture of herbs in a small bowl to announce my arrival. It's something I always loved doing. ;D
Having incense makes me feel creative and at home.

Dragons have always fascinated me, so the idea was to merge those two fascinations to one to find out, if my vision matches my olfaction.

This is the first step of resurrecting an idea I had back in 2008 when I started designing dragons correlating plants and resins that we know as incense. I will design roughly 21 different dragons that each features plants and their distinctive scent and effect. This project is supposed to lead you through a very different olfactory journey whereas my own nose is my direct collaborator.

And there we go, it's back on its feet and planned thoroughly to actually make it into a book presenting all dragons in printed form. :] So, keep your eyes open!

More for my website. This is the picture for the dragons.

I'm trying to decide if I should have all four of these as elements, or if I should just choose one...?

If I had the four, they would be, top to bottom, left to right, Fire, Air, Earth, Water/Ice. I would line someone's opinion on this c:

Same as usual. Aqua sketched these beauties out, then I outlined, colored, and shaded them.

The shading on the wings isn't really great, but I uh... haven't ever really shaded wings so, haha.

ok, anybody remember that movie the flight of dragons? i sure do, first dragon movie i watch that sparked in my interest in dragons, for real. used to watch this movie alot when i was younger. if anyone hasn't seen this movie, you should really see it, it's an good old classic. [link]

anyway, this is a pic of the two main dragons from the movie flight of dragons, gorbash and smgul (i think i spelled their names right) flying in the sky with a group of dragons.
i changed their bodies and wings a bit because i don't like how hey look so bulge in the movie. the mountains actually look half way decent this time.

Como ya se habran dado cuenta, el personaje aqui dibujado es Hannah con la herencia a sus espaldas pero es una larga historia _^_

No sabia que dibujar y salio esto, luego quise darle color pero cambiandole poquito y jugando con las texturas, el resultado tiene muchos errores (como de costumbre) pero es mas de lo que esperaba ^_^

He rolled on the wind and let the gust flutter through his wing membranes for a moment, before turning his gaze away from the moon and towards the glowing creature flying just to his side. He took in her blue eyes, her pearly white scales, and he smiled.

It was still hard to get used to the idea that she had chosen HIM ...
But he was not one to question his luck.

Pssshhh, finally it's DONE!! This is the last contest prize I owed for the Mogranos contest (I still owe other prizes, though). =SketchSketch9384 was the first prize winner, and she had a rather specific request. She asked to have her several prizes concerted in one large, shaded piece of two dragons flying in the moonlight.

I'm sorry I took so long on this, Sketch. I just wanted to make sure it would turn out well. Ran into some anatomical issues, had to redraw the initial sketches a few times, and so on, and so forth. But I think it was worth it. It's been a while since the last time I drew a full piece. ^^

I hope this is sort of like what you had in mind, Sketch!

Hi, I tweaked some stuff and I like it muuuch better bow

So only took me three days but I finally got it done

Concept painting done for a short story assignment, "Dragons Breath".
So in the story these huge creatures which we, the reader, know are dragons but the towns folk have no clue, appear on the mountain horizon. The town folk ignore them for sometime but each day the dragons got closer and closer to the city.
My concept touches up the looming death, doom and destruction that the town folk more or less ignore. They see the creatures get closer and closer each day but do nothing about it, thus why that little girl isn't running away screaming or freaking out. She is just carrying her goodies, but I have her grasping or clenching her apron to show that there is some tension building up.

Anyways, I tried my best to step away from generic fantasy art and give it a Channel Square flare

After the Dragon War and Razkhor's defeat, Agamid leads his companions, the Legendary Dragons of Benevolence. Inside the Shrine of Benevolent Dragons, he and his followers gather the circle to meet the Dragon God living in the white dimension. The Dragon God's spirit sprinkles glowing spheres from his body, showing immortality and omnipotence.

Agamid announces the victory in Dragonia, the unification of Three Tribes of Lizardland, and the freedom on Kyatra and Darook. It impresses their master, even though Targon knows that there is still chance to return all Seven Pendants to the White Dimension.

"You have restored peace in Dragonia, my loyal dragons," says the Dragon God. "However, when you want to return my pendants to deliver your mortal world, you may not immediately transmit them. Because you are not totally the legendary dragons yet. There are cairns all over the world which will prove that you are truly the Legendary Dragon of elements. Once you solved their puzzles, you may use the Orb of Elements to send the pendants."

Doubtfully, the Benevolent Dragons cannot recognize the new mystery.

"What shall we do?" Agamid asks, "will you help us?"

"Sadly, Agamid, I cannot guide you. However, since you learn my knowledge, you will easily solve the puzzles from the cairn guardians. You shall go before the oddess's Malevolent Dragons will conquer your race!"

After they concluded the meeting, Agamid and his followers comment:

"This is inevitably a very serious mission to balance the elements on the world for Dragon God," says Agamid. "I must collect the lexicons to improve my mastery as he ordered us."
"What should I do with my beloved Kryllia?" asks Targon, "I won't let them down while I'm on my way to that Fire Cairn, Agamid."
"My father and his faithful companions will never stop us from succeeding the order of Dragon God", Iraskor taunts, scratching his wings.
"From now on, since I am the last of the lightning dragon race, I shall be careful not to become an extinct one," said Zarthrador
"But, Zarthrador," Ethranox tells, "when we are neighbors in our land, I won't let you suffer from those damn foes.
"I hope my kingdom of ice won't be melted under the enemies' flames whenever I'm in the new journey," says Isaac.
"Oh yes," says Wraginor. "On the contrary, underwater journey isn't for you, guys, but I and my family will dive down the sea bed for Water Cairn."

Before they set off to the new journey, Agamid let his companions rest in the Shrine of Benevolent Dragons. They sit on the correct area for one element. They face the main entrance where his friends, family and loyal dragon citizens willl enter for public gathering--draconic cheers and honorable welcomes.

"But, Agamid," said Targon, "It's been a tough job to overcome Razkhor's power and dominance. To relief you and our friends, can I hug you first?"
"Of course not, silly red dragon!" Agamid replies. "I decided that my behavior will not be like whatever you desire. You may do this to the rest of us and your family."

Targon drops his head, feeling humiliated from the leader's dislike.

"Don't worry, brother," Iraskor says, "you can still have me. Agamid is a strict leader of our group, but I won't let your feelings go down when you love wing-hugging other dragons."

"I'm glad that you relieved me with your kindness and generosity, Iraskor," Targon smiled.

It took me almost 3 months of hard work with those 7 dragons, but I still enjoy depicting Targon's story. ^^ I should continue the novel, since this artwork is the illustration of final chapter of "Seeker of Dark Secrets"

Sigh, Dragon God's quality isn't good enough.

Isn't it like "The Avengers" because they also assemble? XD

I had to redo a few things.

[OLD]:I have been buuuusssssyyyy, daaaaaang, but here is something I have been working on...

I hated how the other one look so I totally revamp the whole piece.

So here's the second version of Dragon's Breath! Took friggin forever and I went through at least six different ones...and I finally settle with this one...I'm much happier with this one however I really like the clouds a dreaminess of the other dragons breath piece

I let out a long sigh. was he ever coming back? its been weeks since he went with the other dragons to the war at the dragon city. why did i have to break my wing during training? geez i'm a idiot....

I bowed my head out depression. then something soft gently press up against my nose. bring it up so my head was looking up. i open my eyes to see what the heck was going on. when i opened them i was staring into emerald eyes. there was toshiro are noses still touching. "miss me?"

and they lived happily ever after ( but we can't say the same for the poor bed XDD)

This has been a very long time coming... I did the sketch May 7, 2009!I was going to try and make them into charms. I put it aside to finish and forgot about them for a while. I thought i best finish it before 2010 is over!!

First, there were the chibis. Then, there was the Dragons. Now... the chibi dragons. It's MADNESS i tells ya!

Now for the normal stuff. Two designs so far, if they're popular/ the shirts of some sort are popular, i'll keep them up, if not, they'll be switched out with the next ones. I'm on their basic account, i get MAYBE a dollar from each of them. Oh well, as such is life.

Man, what a cruddy background I'm in a much better mood now, so it was time to ressurect my coloring skillz.

I was brainstorming something to draw on the "Dragon" Topic, and didn't want to draw a typical cool badass dragon... and somehow the idea evolve into what if they were once fat toads instead of more lizard like..

Dragons from Denmark

I've always considered dragons pretty boring. They just didn't "speak to me" the same way most other mythical creatures do, yet I have a love for old dragon statues, of which there are plenty in Denmark. Especially our capital, Copenhagen, is a Dragon City with loads and loads of dragons in both obvious and unexpected places.
They rarely look like what we have come to expect a dragon to look like these days, which is probably why I like them. These are some of my favorites.

The most famous dragon would be the one fighting a bull in the Dragon Fountain, but I didn't draw it here because it's actually not a dragon, but a lindorm (closely related to dragons, but not actual dragons). The little creatures surrounding the fountain are however dragons (The small one at the bottom in the picture).

The middle picture is one of three dragons who have their tails twirled to make the tower of Børsen, also in Copenhagen. I like them because of their huge cute ears and ridiculously long tails.

The top picture is a dragon from Slagelse where they have this creature in a fountain outside the church. I'm in love with it's creepy long fingers and chubby body.

At last, the revelation of 7 Legendary Dragons of Benevolence! (But it's still WIP) I'm glad that I make flying dragons (except for 2 of them), but I tried looking for spectacular flying poses...I think I did it well for my dragon characters. ^^

but turns out that green one's staff has bad perspective.

These will be for the character sheets (with magic...you see their empty hands? )

green - Agamid Drakarum the wind dragon druid
bronze - Ethranox Mnotragk the earth dragon
gold - Zarthrador Zymenerth the lightning dragon
