Just having fun.

Edit: OMFG. Overnight, this has suddenly become overrated. Haha just kidding... but... um... it's going to be impossible at this time for me to thank everyone who bombed my inbox with s and es and comments and such. So I'm sorry but all I can manage right now is a collective thank you. I mean every letter of it.

Truth be told, even if I said I was "just having fun" I was thinking of including the faces in the manual I'm co-authoring at the art school where I work. So yes, use them for reference and practice, that's what they're for!

I'd also like to thank everyone for their suggestions on what faces to do next but I don't think I want to risk another message center explosion... well that, and/or being accused of attention whoring... so how about you people draw your own?

Story of my life at the moment. Not because I don't want to talk, because I can't. Some things you have to go through alone. My piece was also inspired by my situation, though there is more hope in that image... things have got tougher recently. I am very lucky to have some very close friends I can confide in including my beautiful Moogle I appreciate and am so thankful for them. Sorry I can't share more online...

Its such at odds with my personality. I'm an eternal optimist. Anyone who knows me or has met me at a convention knows I love to laugh and it takes a lot to get me down, unfortunately this is. Well, its inspiration at least

One day I'll be able to tell everyone everything's not fine, but for now,

I'm fine.

drawing i made to put up on my own wall. i have a blue wall in my room and i spent ages looking for the perfect poster to put up, but nothing was really personal enough. i wanted an art nouveau poster but everyone has those by now... so i drew inspiration from this poster [link] to make my own version.

linework done with a mechanical pencil and scanned in; colored in photoshop 7 with a tablet. textures from [link] (mostly rust textures) and wallpaper pattern from a roll of wallpaper i have lying around haha. prints coming one of these days. for tips on how to apply textures check out [link]

and ignore the camera information haha. i drew the sketch on a photo of my wall to get an idea of what it would look like ( [link] ) and apparently the info is still in the file somewhere. it has like nothing to do with this picture though. :b

Becky - The cover girl of ImagineFX, issue 49 November 2009.

So my very first appearance in an IFX mag makes the front cover, including a full on posing workshop inside the issue. This was definitely the most exciting artwork I've ever worked on in my entire art career to date. The entire process was a complete pleasure and flowed far smoother than I had anticipated.

They ended up choosing her with red hair for the cover, which I also totally love, but thought id share her with you as I originally had her from start to finish.

Anyway, I seriously recommend this issue to those who are wanting to learn more about how to approach posing. I shared as much as I could and even exceeded the limit they asked me to keep to, so Im sure there will be something for all of you guys to take and use to your advantage!

This is a character from a little story (not Project WE or Knite) that I came up with while studying too much for finals XD (but my last exam is tomorrow so I'll free soon!!) I might work on this story after I'm done with the other two...man I have so many stories I want do but not enough time to work on any =_=

(btw, the koi is a tattoo, though it's a cursed tattoo so it's more life like than a normal tattoo should look. The color pattern on the koi is that of a red crowned crane)
