Hidden Temple

^{This is my quick matte painting...I drew it 7.5 hours and I actually drew it for college (we had to draw space). So I decided to quickly paint one landscape. I think I almost don't have any landscape paintings in the gallery So, here is something different from me, and I hope you'll like it. I drew it from beginning with colors and I didn't set the concept at the beginning. I just sketched and I wouldn't imagine that drawing will look like this at the end. It was completely a new thing for me.

But I'm a fantasy artist, so I just had to draw something fantasy I drew even one little deer in the background so try to find it Oh, and I drew it flipped... so drawing was actually flipped in other direction. And shortly I'll also upload whole video progress from this drawing on YouTube, so you'll be able to see my drawing progress for the first time So stay tuned

_{Just a random doodle of Ichi, the cyborg cat (if anyone remembers her, if not...well here you go, Ichi!) I listened to a lot of Daft Punk with this so it cheered me up, haha! Hence the 'happy' expression |3
I was inspired by a picture I saw while looking through cat wallpapers [link] (warning it's HUGE) and I thought 'that pose would fit with Ichi!'
So... I doodled this up. It's kind of a lazy image because I'm not much into doing that much personal work these days. Most of what I do is work or commissions so it was nice to have a small break in between to do something like this.
For those wondering her right leg and her tail are covered in electrical tape. She's a weird one but.. she's a robot mostly... So physics? Pffft! Nahhhh.}

I'm starting a new series! If you haven't guessed, it's the Seven Deadly Sins. These aren't going to be your typical looks though. It's not going to be "Well... lust is sexy so I'm going to do sexy!" This one I did as "fiery" and "steamy". It's difficult to explain haha! Hopefully you understand it a little!

I also need your help! Have an idea for the next sins? Let me know! I'm stuck on Sloth at the moment. The others I have vague ideas for... but Sloth is a tricky one!

Also... So. Many. Sparkles! Oh my god! I wish they showed up better. This looked far better in person!

About the costume :

As usual, team work with
I made the choice of an "historical-accurate" costume, meaning I took only linen for the fabric part, and only real leather.
The lightest Leather came from second hand coat and a second hand bag, while the darkest one came from a shop. I damaged the darkest one with a metal file.
I altered my linnen with two tea baths after punching the costume with shoe polish, and a complete night under the rain did the rest. Also, it's all real metal rivets everywhere, hammered on the costume.
I took the ingame screenshots as references, not the cinematic trailers (or artworks). This may explain the differences.

Please note I won't answer and may delete any comments like "where did you buy that" "this is not weathered enough" "XXX is better than you" "this is good but XXX is better" and so on.

A portrait that will be on display at my upcoming solo show and tribute to cinema!

I really really stared at a ton of old-timey portrait-paintings (John Singer Sargent, Vermeer, etc) for inspiration to do this piece. I wanted to get a traditional media feel and do the best job possible with this lovely moment from Moonrise Kingdom (when Sam Shakusky first lays eyes on Suzy Bishop!) Digital painting from references [link], many many hours, Adobe Photoshop + Cintiq 21UX tablet.

The opening reception for the show ("MOMENTS" by Alice X. Zhang) is on Friday, June 7th at Bottleneck Gallery. If you are anywhere in the NYC area at that time, I would be delighted to see you! Admission is completely free, more information and RSVP at the event listing.

Here is the first in a series of plushies I am making for Aywas.com [link] ! There will be 6 in total, and they're all some of the cutest designs I've ever had to work with. I've got 3 of them completed already and another one in the works at the moment, I'll be gradually uploading them over the next few days.

Now, what's the super cool thing about this series of plushies? They may be commercially produced! However for this to happen, some funds need to be raised. It takes $2000 to get a plush mass-produced, so if 100 people pre-ordered one for $20 he'd be funded in no time! Stay tuned for more info, I'll post about this as soon that I have more details myself such as where and how to pre-order him and his friends.

Chiro is 8" tall not including his ears, made out of minky and features lots of machine embroiderery.

Hi there! It's been a few time since my last deviation, because I've been changing my workflow, from 3D Studio Max to Blender. And after some tutorials and lot of hours, I think I've got the point... with more practice I hope I can reach a skill level as good as in Max!

Modelled in Blender, render with Cycles. Color correction and effects done with Blender compositor, no external software used. Gimp for title and logo.

I hope you like it! Tips, tricks and comments will be welcome!

I had a sudden need to draw her in semi-realism o____o I referenced a bunch of photos for fur direction and whatnot, it's interesting having stopped most of my realistic art for almost two years now xD

Buttt I ended up having to delete the references before I finished coloring because they were really crowding the canvas up and just annoying haha x___X

Sewing Tutorial: The Egg Bag

On my website I'm doing a series where I'm destashing my huge collection of scrap fabrics. ^-^ With every scrap I use up I make up a new little project for it, then give away the project pattern for free! I've amassed over a dozen on my website so far, but since this one is a few months old I thought I would move it here as well

This is probably one of my favorite projects >w< It's a bag modeled after one found in the manga Card Captor Sakura -- a bag that Sakura's father made her for White Day.

The pattern is a .pdf where the first half is instructions, and the second half is a printable pattern that you assemble by taping the paper sheets together.

I'm not sure if I regret having the Cyber Prince as the only lineartless character in the comic. It takes time and doesn't look as great as I had hoped for.
I don't feel like this part was as well done as it could have been seeing how I tried to rush it due to my exams. So in order to prevent the quality from dropping I'll these uploads will be a lot slower the coming month here.
