I started of with only sweeping red, blue and yellow and after maybe around 50 lines in total of those colors I changed to a lower density of them all and swept more lines.^^'
After a short time I used white (with low density) and swept more lines over it all to make the red, blue and yellow colors melt together.
When I had swept it around for a while I saw got a picture like this imagined in my head from looking at it so I then changed the white to black and darkened places which got to be mountains, changed to white for brightening up the lake and sky, added more blue and some yellow in the sky and lake, white again to fade the sky and lake.
For the last touches I added a little yellow close to the sun and darkened the sky to somewhat resemble, what i think, a sunset.

The sudden additional weight catches you off guard, and you struggle to hold it up.  What the hell is in this thing?
"Compasses don't work there, and the stars are different, so you'll have to trust that Lunaria will know the way to go.  She doesn't know it yet, but she does," the red head seems to be trying to reassure you, but she's doing a piss-poor job.
"Uh..."  She holds up a finger to silence you.
"What else... oh, right.  Remember!  Sand is not supposed to be pink!  Pink means magic, magic means you're close to some old ruins and you don't want to go to those.  I don't suggest picking it up either, if you can help it.  Last person who tried got turned into a turnip," she chuckles at this and you frown.  Magic sand?  Ruins?  Turnips?  None of this makes sense.
"Now, off with you, and I really hope you've gotten all your affairs in order!"  She starts pushing you out the door, but you pause.
"...Why?"  A grin crosses her impish face.
"Three years is a long time to be lost in the desert!"  And with that, you're shoved into your guide, and the door is slammed behind you.
